"Opening at Alpharetta City Center on Monday, November 11, I note that Jinya Ramen Bar will celebrate its debut by giving away free ramen to the first 50 people in the door at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; the restaurant includes a dining room, bar and a patio facing a shared courtyard with neighboring Restaurant Holmes and Citizen Soul. The LA-based chain is known for taking liberties with traditional ramen broths — menu highlights include the tonkotsu black with pork chashu, fried onions and garlic oil; the garlic tonkotsu “cha cha cha” seasoned with fish powder; and a spicy creamy vegan ramen with tofu — and it also serves baos, edamame, rice bowls, curries and poke tacos. I note the chain opened its first Georgia location in Sandy Springs in 2016, followed by Buckhead a year later, and will open a fourth location at Plaza on Ponce; the Alpharetta address is 401 South Broad Street and hours are Sunday–Thursday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 11 a.m.–11 p.m. (jinya-ramenbar.com)." - Beth McKibben
