Stopped by for dinner. We ordered inside and came out to sit by the fire as the weather was nice. Our server was prompt and friendly. We ordered the Flying Vegan Harvest ramen & was surprised by how much noodles they gave us in it! It was very flavorful and delicious. Also ordered the J. Girl and Dragon Fruit Fizz mocktails, they were very refreshing! Really enjoyed the relaxed dining at this location. Definitely recommend this place!

Literally this place is amazing, from the moment you walk in the door till the moment you walk out with a full belly. The bar has a great twist on drinks, food is prepared perfectly, menu is full of some many options especially for vegans. Whether you're going online or with a group of 8 this is the place for you!

Amazing 😍 experience, vegan spicy ramen is so fire 10/10. So many vegan options, great and friendly service here, cleanliness is top tier. Make sure to ask for no spicy 🔥 if you can't tolerate it.

Had this on my want to go list for quite awhile. Finally decided to knock out my list and this was the first place up to try. Happy to say I was not disappointed. Though I’ve not tried many ramen places in Rockville, this one is in my top three so far. The flavors are great. The portions are good. And the service was good as well. Would definitely recommend this one. We will return.

Google
Everything was amazing. This place just gave me a new impression of Jinya Ramen Bar. Melika (who took care of my table) was super kind and friendly, so I could have nice dishes thanks to her explanation about the food! I tried Red Donkotsu Ramen level of 6, and this was the perfect spiciness for me💜 the crispy chicken is now for $5, March Madness, and it was sooooo good!

Google
Amazing, great quality food for a great price! We enjoyed the kids meal and the chefs special 10/10 would recommend!! Plus great fast service from Mel and the staff! She was the sweetest. Will be coming again! :)

Google
A bit more of an upscale environment than most ramen shops, which tend to be more hole in the wall, and the prices reflect that. Better service than most other places as well. I've been here a few times where they had a great deal going on, once during an anniversary special and once through the inKind app. With these deals I found everything to be extremely worth the price, especially the tonkotsu black ramen and the takoyaki balls. However, if looking at regular prices, there are many places that in my opinion have equal or better ramen at lower prices (>20% less). With a medium to large group I would consider paying the higher price here for the better atmosphere and service but would look to one of the cheaper options if getting take out or just looking for a quick, no frills meal.

We went to Jinya late on a chilly weekend. We thought warm ramen would be just the thing! We ended up splitting dumplings and getting ramen. The dumplings were fine! The presentation of the soup was great! I loved that each flavor got its own bowl. They didn't have my favorite Shoyu, so I got the spicy miso ramen. I liked the toppings and the flavor was good. I also got to try the tonkatsu black ramen, which was good! I don't usually vibe with bone broth so it wasn't for me. The chasu and black ramen broth were REALLY fatty in like an unpleasant way. Service was also real dodgy. We ended up sitting at the bar and our waiter was just not interested in engaging with us, we tried to flag him down 4 or 5 times for a water refill and then couldn't get him to bring us the check. The music was also SO loud to the point of being painful. Like the bathroom door was literally vibrating from the sound. Overall, I don't think we'll be back to Jinya! We only stopped by because we were in the area. I really prefer Maki down the pike.

Yelp
Food is great as always. I highly recommend the Tokyo Curry and Jinya Bun. Our server Anthony was also very nice.

Yelp
Service was awesome. Daniel was really attentive and he made our experience enjoyable. We love the ramen from this spot so coming back and having good service on top was great!

Yelp
Our waiter, Daniel, served us very well. His service was smooth, polite and quick. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Decided to give this place another shot, and I'm glad we did. We still could not sit inside due to the noise level. Although it wasn't nearly as loud (last time so ear-piercingly loud that a child began shrieking and holding her ears from the loud music), it was still at about an 8.0! It was a nice, warm day, so outside we sat. The appetizers were terrific! Spicy fried shrimp were crunchy and topped with a sauce that had a touch of spice and sweetness. Also loved the spicy tuna tacos. The crispy taco shells were so perfectly fried they had those tiny bubbles you see on good American-style Chinese egg rolls. These babies are packed with a generous amount of spicy tuna. Loved the flavor of the "spicy" in the tuna--not too spicy and had a good balance of salt. The pork bun was incredible. We only got one, but it is large enough to share if having other menu items. The pork was roasted nicely with a sticky sweet soy glaze. Puts a lot of charsui places in the area to shame. I didn't think I'd like the greens in the bun, but they were so tender that they became liquid after the first chew anyway. We got the shrimp wonton ramen and the Black. I don't recommend the shrimp wonton ramen. Very boring flavor, despite looking fiery. The Black ramen was flavorful and filled with umami. While I still prefer Akira's ramen to Jinya's, those appetizers are enough to bring me back very soon and often.

Yelp
Went for a late weekday lunch, not too many people there. Hostess was friendly and cleaned up a table so we could sit at the booth. We both ordered the lunch special with the Jinya ramens. The crispy chicken lacked flavor and should've came with a dipping sauce. The spicy tuna taco was the same, a little better after squeezing the lime. Pork gyoza were standard frozen ones like the ones you buy at Costco, but it was ok. The ramens were brought out shortly after the appetizers and by the time we ate them were lukewarm at best. Not sure if it was us, but I did snap the photo as soon as it hit the table and you can already see a film developing on my Tonkotsu ramen, so it had sat out for a bit even before. The Tonkotsu broth was too salty for me, I normally like to drink the broth with the noodles but I couldn't palate more than a spoonful of it. Waiter was also friendly and nice, but I finished my whole cup of water probably 30 mins before we left and not once did he refill it. I wanted to try the extra wide noodles with the Tonkotsu original 2010 ramen but it was just ok, seasoned egg was cooked beautifully tho, probably the best thing in the bowl. I also snapped the photo of the panna cotta as soon as it hit the table and the ice cream was half-melted. Otherwise it had a nice flavor and super smooth texture. I like to try different menu items, but I have to drop it down a star based off this experience.

Vidisha S.

Yelp
We ordered: Crispy chicken appetizer - very crispy and yummy Tonkotsu Spicy (mild) - not as spicy as I was hoping, so I added more spice to it. It wasn't as flavorful as other ramen's I've tried (even at another Jinya). Also, I thought there were more toppings. Tonkotsu Black - my husband got this. The broth's pork flavor was overpowering. Not particularly something we liked, but maybe other people do. Service was okay overall. We had to ask for water refills and they weren't as attentive as we would have liked. Ambiance was nice overall. We sat inside, as it was too warm to sit outside. Overall, I probably would not return here. Our bill (with tip) was nearly $60, and we were not very satisfied. It seemed pretty expensive for the quality of ramen we received. I would prefer to try another place.

Tetiana E.

Yelp
The restaurant provides excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere, and consistently outstanding customer service. The portions are generous for the price. The poke bowl and takoyaki were very tasty. The Brussels sprouts, though a bit too oily for my taste, were still enjoyable. Unfortunately, the edamame lacked flavor and could have used a hint of salt.

Yelp
I would first refer you to my review of the Reston location. While I do not mean to sew discontent nor animosity between sister locations, I must say I have had a superior experience at this location -- by almost every metric. Having visited the Arlington and Fairfax locations as well (but having left no review for either), I must rate this location at the top by a significant margin; but not quite a countrymile. As I visit the Reston location the most given its proximity to my usual activities, it will serve as the primary point of comparison at many points of this review. Healthy competition, eh. With that said, even considering consumption of the exact same items with the same formula proscribed by corporate, same ingredients, and same dishes as conceptualized, there is a stark contrast between locations. The food at this location is incomprehensibly better on account of possibly freshness, but definitely execution, seasoning, and attention to detail. If I were a franchise evaluator, I would say that this place is likely as close to the standard as devised. In general we are conditioned to begrudgingly but silently accept and tolerate complacency. But we must note, acknowledge, and appreciate excellence where it is shown. As no slight to any other locations, I reiterate this location is definitely the standard. My impression is further bolstered by the fact that I came in fairly close to closing time and the quality of execution was still exceptional, compounded by a swift and adroit handling of my order. I was prepared for lackadaisical "closing time quality" but left with my initial presumptions dispelled. Additionally I quite fancy the ambiance of the urban art inspired style, full of beautiful murals, decor, seating, and EDM music with good mood lighting. Very good scene. Good but not the (absolute) best service; but that can be pardoned if not dismissed in the entirety given the quality of execution on every item across the board (and I ordered many items). Professional, quick, responsive, and patient all the same. My rating is a bit of a misnomer as I would rate this place 4.5 to 4.6 out of 5. However, as the Yelp system does not provide for half stars, I have to offer 4 out of 5 as I cannot, in good conscience, offer a 5. In technicality, it would be closer to a 5 than a 4; but it is very much not a 5, to the extent grading down must take priority. It is a quintessential 4.5 to 4.6; I want to make that clear. There is room for improvement but it is significantly less. Seriously, try everything. Don't come here to save. Everything is meant to be eaten.

Yelp
Jinya is the place that comes to mind when I want ramen! I've had the best experiences each time I've gone. You can choose ramen bowls from their menu or make your own! I've tried the Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Shrimp Wonton ramen and both were delicious! The Tonkotsu Black is one everyone recommended. I love the added egg and the broth is perfect. I personally love wontons but I also added an egg to it! I look forward to visiting JINYA when I'm in town!

Yelp
A delightful place for quality soupy noodles and small plates taking inspirations across Northeast Asia, Jinya Ramen Bar in Rockville's Pike & Rose has joined our ever-so-small handful of favorite go-to spots! Together with vivacious ambiance and service by Brizaida and team, JRB has me and my dining companion thrilled to have found a convenient gem complete with a public parking lot within steps of their front door (free for first 2 hours)! Since 2020, we have had two major culinary voids: one of Japanese cuisine and another for Chinese cuisine. By no longer eating much raw fish (compounded by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission having the Radioactive Waste Water from the failed Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant poison the Pacific Ocean!), my dining companion and I have rarely been able to enjoy Japanese cuisine these days since we have also not found a place for cooked Japanese food that was consistently good. Furthermore, China Bistro, our go-to Chinese restaurant where we enjoyed dumplings and fresh Garlic has been very inconsistent ever since the Global Lockdowns. JRB to the rescue to fill both voids! After 4 delicius visits in the past 4 weeks, we have been thrilled with the following: + SPICY GARLIC MABO MEN w/ RICE (seasonal chef's special) It is a delightful interpretation of Mapo Tofu (spicy silken Tofu with fermented bean paste, chili oil, a touch of Sichuan Peppercorns, minced Pork, shredded Leeks in lieu of Green Onions) with thick noodles as well as a bowl of rice to polish off the stewy broth. Pro-tip: request fresh Garlic (no charge!), which arrives as cloves together a garlic press to mince as much of Mother Nature's superfood as your heart desires (literally!). The fiery garlic gets beautifully integrated into the rich and spicy base! + PORK GYOZA Wrapped in delicate and springy dumpling wrapper and pan-fried to a crisp exterior layer, these potstickers are a fine rendition of dumplings (each containing some yummy broth) that also beg for some of the fresh Garlic! While much fancier and dainty than China Bistro's style of dumplings, JRB's are satisfying by savoring each nibble and bite. + FRIED CHICKEN (5 pieces for appetizer order) Fried to a nice crispy exterior, these juicy and garlicky renditions utilizing thigh meat come paired with a fancy petit salad and tart ponzu sauce to balance the overall decadence. So delectable and exemplary, JRB's rendition makes us not miss as much our favorite fried chicken from The Grill from Ipanema (where we rare go these days). + JINYA BUN Braised pork belly, cucumber, fancy petit salad green, mayo, and a soy-based sauce wrapped in a pillowy Bao Bun (open clam shell shape)--what's not to like! Well, the pork itself is rendered in exemplary fashion and clean in its finish that my DC enjoys it even more than an excellent version (plated appetizer sans the bun) at the luxe Restaurant Eve formerly of Old Town Alexandria. In short, JRB is a hip place that has the complete package of outstanding food, service, and ambiance to match its slightly premium prices relative to its peers. After 4 visits within the past 4 weeks, we have been impressed by JRB's consistency in food, particularly the ideal saltiness for every dish, as well as the welcoming and cheery service.

Yelp
Food was amazing - I had the chef special and ate every last drop of the broth! So yummy Daniel & Ebony provided the best service as well!

Yelp
Jinya always offers solid meals at any locations including this North Bethesda. We visited during the lunch hour on weekday so the place wasn't crowded at all. We ordered a Lychee Strawberry mocitail, Tonkotsu Original ramen, bun, and California Poke Bowl. Unfortunately, the mocktail was super sweet so I couldn't even finish it with meals. However, foods were great. The hot broth of the ramen had in-depth flavors, and noodle was thick and chewy. The warm bun was very soft and good with melty pork. The poke bowl was way better than I expected! Underneath seaweed, masago and some veggies were hidden. The spicy tuna was not overly mixed with mayo so well balanced. This bowl was refreshing for summer and healthier option here. As a Japanese, I recommend Jinya to get a quality of Japanese meals rather than going to noodle places with random Japanese names.

Yelp
I love this Ramen spot JINYA at Pike and Rose! Each visit I get a different ramen soup to try...Everyone of them has been a hit for me! They also allow you to customize them a bit to your preference. A must have every time I come is the Takoyaki - Octopus Ball. (I'm not going to lie, when my friend ordered these for us to share the first time, I silently died inside... But, I refused to show any fear and took a bite. OMG! Who would have know Octopus balls would be so yummy?!? lol) If you are not in the mood for Ramen they also have rice bowls and taco options as well. This location has outside seating with a fire pit available. Very cozy in the cooler temperatures! The staff is always friendly, giving a Japanese greeting of いらっしゃいませ ( Irasshaimase ) every time someone comes in. Always ready to answer questions regarding the menu and I have had great suggestions given when needing help deciding what I want. Definitely recommend this Ramen spot!

Bella L.

Yelp
This was genuinely some of the best tasting ramen I have ever had... we decided to stop here and try the BYOR dish because every time we walked by we couldn't resist. For some reason the broccoli in mine was weirdly my favorite part?? Something about the way it tasted with the broth. I can't even explain. I also added dumplings to this and let me tell you. Best. Decision. Ever. I love this idea of choosing your own toppings for because if you have a large group of people then everyone can eat the same but their own take on the dish. It's a win win all around. The outdoor seating area was also so pretty. This beautiful metal gazebo type thing was so beautiful and had a fireplace in the middle. Crazy to look at once the sunset. The staff was amazing and was able to help with any questions we did have.

Devin H.

Yelp
Best pork gyoza I've ever had! The house gyoza sauce is delicious, just the right amount of heat. Our server Daniel was very attentive and friendly

Sabrina G.

Yelp
My favorite location and one of my favorite Ramen Bars! Immediately when you're seated someone is coming over with waters and to greet you. They take your orders if your ready and talk about the new items on their menu if they have any! I love the service! So, let me just run down my favorites here! Crispy ChickenSeasoned EggWonton Ramen spicy creamy shrimp, kids meal! So the crispy chicken is amazing it gets a 10/10 Spicy Creamy Shrimps 12/10 Wonton shrimp ramen 15/10 Kids meal comes with three meals and a treat (crispy chicken with fries and salad and fruit, ramen, ground beef, chicken rice with veggies) and a drink I believe. 20/20 my young leaf loves it My wife switches up but she loves their ramen My oldest doesn't like ramen just regular noodles he gets the shrimp and devours them. I love the cleanliness of this establishment but all locations are always clean. I love that this locations has a nice seated area outdoors for warm and cold weather! If you ramen put this one on your list!

Amanda S.

Yelp
I frequent this Jinya quite a bit. This Jinya has an awesome outdoor space for parties and friend gatherings or even dates. I want to say that my favorite part of this Jinya is the drinks. Me and my bros and girlfriends have just come here to enjoy their bar. The service is ok. This is a great addition to the Pike and Rose restaurants, however, there are so many spectacular ramen places on the Pike so this is not my go-to Ramen place in Rockville, definitely a good drink place with an Asian sparkle. I wouldn't say for Jinya to change however to get on par with the other 5 star ramen places in the area because the brand of Jinya is so reliable that me and friends will go to a Jinya if we're in the area because we know what to expect and what we will get is known to be good.

Mike M.

Yelp
Jinya is by the dog park at Pike and Rose. They are at the end of the area but it is worth finding them. They have a lot of seating both indoors and outside. We were there for lunch which was great because it was not crowded. The service was great. It was fast and courteous. If you are looking for appetizers you need to look under small plates. The food was so good. They also provided large servings. We had some appetizers but then I could not finish my lunch. I appreciated the ability to change out the broth since I am allergic to pork. We will definitely be coming back here when we visit Maryland again.

Heather R.

Yelp
I stopped in for a late dinner after work, took a seat at the bar, and waited 15 minutes. The bartender took my order, but that was when things got weird. I stopped at the bear place next-door prior to going to this one. I mentioned about getting dinner first before getting ice cream. As I was sitting at the bar, I noticed an employee from the ice cream shop walk in front of the window, look at me at the bar, and walk back to his shop. The bartender asked if I wanted a drink, and I asked for water. They asked if I wanted tap or sparkling. I asked how the Rockville city water was. We both figured it was okay, so I ordered a glass. Then, the "customer" next to me started making comments about a health inspector coming in last week and blah blah.. I ate the chicken wonton ramen and bok choy. It was delicious and not salty. I complimented it to the bartender and said that I would be back. I finished my meal and slowly got off the bar stool to be cut off from my walk to the door by some tall bald man that works there. Not only once, but he walked out front, quickly turned around and cut me off again and as I walked out, he went around to the door next to my bar stool and walked-rushed out to cut me off outside! WTF I honestly don't know what the problem was and will not return to that crazy place again.

Christine A.

Yelp
My boyfriend is a huge ramen person and this is one of his favorites! We have been to 2 other Jinya locations and this one is bar far his favorite. We drive 30 minutes to this location instead of going to the one that is 15 minutes from us. Their broth has great flavor and great heat. Their pork has great flavor, their portions are a great size. And the Takoyaki is delicious as well! Highly recommend if you want good quality and delicious ramen.

Mark G.

Yelp
Daniel was fantastic. He managed 4 kids and 4 adults like a pro. What a great guy. Food was excellent!

Monica K.

Yelp
Update: finally stopped by Jinya and dined in. There was a short wait for a booth (no wait for high top and bar seating), but we were seated in 15 minutes despite the compact size of the restaurant. Our server was great and took our order right away. We barely waited 10 minutes before our food arrived. The bar was a bit backed up so our drinks arrived after our meals, but the server was on top of it and got them out to us as quickly as possible. I ordered the chefs special which was karaage ramen. It came with crispy chicken with chili oil, thin noodles, chicken broth, a seasoned egg, green onions, and spinach. My husband ordered the spicy chicken ramen and doctored it up with a bunch of add ins, including the chicken wontons. We also shared the garlic shrimp spring rolls. I tried the garlic shrimp spring rolls first and this is a MUST HAVE! So. Perfectly crispy! My ramen was also amazing. The bite of the chicken wonton I had was incredible. This restaurant may be a little pricey, but the quality of food is definitely evident and worth it! Finally, if you decide to forgo the alcohol, I highly recommend the lychee strawberry not a margarita mock-tail. It is pretty sweet though, so be forewarned!

Ahmad W.

Yelp
YALL!!! This is the second time I've been here and it's been AMAZING!! The service here is always amazing and I had Brizaida!! But the FOOD??? Amazing. I seriously don't understand how they do it. The ambiance is also good, I feel like the music is a necessity to fill the space and it does a good job. Will be coming back here and I'm so serious. Literally writing this as I eat like no way they did this to me. Love this place. Make sure you ask for Brizaida when you come here!!

Maria M.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Monday at 11:30am. We were seated right away as it wasn't busy. Our server came right away which was nice and offered us water while we perused the menu. We ordered the Lychee Strawberry Not a Margarita (non alcoholic) beverage and it was refreshing and delicious. I will say our water tasted weird though. It had a weird after taste that I can't fully describe but it definitely tasted off. But the Lychee strawberry was great! I got the crispy chicken appetizer and I appreciate the flavor and crispiness of it. No complaints! My friend ordered the fried dumplings and those were also pretty good! I got the Yuzu Shio Ramen and the egg was perfectly cooked and jammy. The thin noodles were nice and delicious and I also liked the broth. It definitely had a citrusy element but it wasn't overpowering which I appreciated. The vibe of the place was nice and inviting. The music wasn't too loud and I really liked the lighting - not too bright but also not too dark to take pics ! Overall a nice experience!

Janay M.

Yelp
Great ramen, lots of menu options. I've been a fan of the spicy chicken ramen. Loads of flavor and perhaps a little leaner than the traditional pork. The broth is a little on the thicker side and the proportions of all the components is just perfect. I also LOVE the tempura brussel sprouts. So good. They have combos available and kids meals. The kids meal was actually quite a bit of food, and had a nice variety of options to satisfy any picky eater. The place does tend to be busy, there is normally a wait time of 10-40 minutes. I'm not sure if they take reservations but they do have a waitlist. You can also check in and then shop around and they will text you when your table is ready. Located right next to a parking garage.

Sabrina P.

Yelp
Ordered a spicy chicken ramen. For the price, I would've preferred more then two pieces of chicken. The broth also could've been a bit more spicy.

Reggie M.

Yelp
This spot was something I found on DoorDash while I was staying at a nearby hotel. I had the 5 piece crispy chicken and a chicken cashu bowl. It was just ok. It wasn't hit when I got it, so I placed it in the microwave for a minute. Still, just ok. Perhaps it's better when it's ordered and eaten inside the restaurant. That's possible so the next time I visit this hotel, I will go in and try it.

Temima N.

Yelp
I haven't been to a jinya in forever so I was really craving it. Had a chance to try it while at pike and rose. I got the vegan creamy ramen which it was as good as I remember but I wish they had chili oil out since I remember them having it out so I could up the spice level. Saw they had more things on the menu but the prices are definitely more expensive. It's also kind of loud in there but good if you're craving ramen while shopping

Paola L.

Yelp
Top favorite spots! - Jinya service and ramen is great. I've had the chicken and chicken dumpling ramens before, always add an eggs for the perfect bowl. There's lots of add on options too along with spice level. Filled with flavor, soft noodles and warm broth. Great for a chilly or sunny day. The inside environment has high tables and booths, enough space for small and large parties. The bathroom is suuuper dark though! The outside space is great on a sunny day, there's a small bonfire and you're spaced out from the restaurant but still close enough you're not forgotten. Staff is kind and willing to provide recommendations!!

Sharon R.

Yelp
Really successful opening week! If they're already this delicious and on point off the bat, I can't wait to see how it grows. Even though the restaurant is large, they managed to make it feel cozy and warm. The fire pit outside helps to set the vibe, and there's some mood lightning but not too dark so you're squinting. Food wise, I'm super happy with the vegan options. Three ramens: tried the yuzu and creamy broths, which were both winners, a tad spicy, with perfectly chewy ramen noodles. For appetizers, we tried the edamame, vegetable tempura, and caramelized cauliflower. Pretty great that there's several dishes with impossible. Service was friendly and welcoming. The manager even came by to give us some ramen tips. Looking forward to many happy hours here!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
I had a good meal here. I liked the crispy chicken. It tasted similar to karaage but the pieces were larger, more crispy, and had less seasoning. It came with some soy sauce and a sweet paste to dip the chicken in. The tonkatsu ramen was also good. I liked the broth and noodles. If there are any additional toppings you want in your ramen you can add them as extras. I added corn to mine. They also have a bar here. I got a lychee martini which was good. I wouldn't say this is the most authentic ramen restaurant but it's a good option if you're craving ramen while at pike and rose.

Lauren H.

Yelp
I ordered the original Tonkotsu ramen, it was pretty good. The broth and egg were my favorite part. The broth was rich and the egg was soft with the yolk still runny. Being from California I think the prices were a little high for the quality of ramen served. But if I had never experienced anything different than I wouldn't know the comparison. The staff were very nice. I just wish they didn't keep the bar windows open because a lot of flies came in and were bothering us our whole meal. I would definitely recommend to try though!

Yelp
Visited from out of town and wanted to give Ramen a try for the first time. Top reviews brought me here on a busy Thursday night with my party of 6. The first thing I want to mention and really applaud is how absolutely lovely, friendly and accommodating everyone on the staff was. They were so quick and understanding about trying to comfortably seat a bigger party that included kids. Our waiter was so incredible. We had a dietary question (to confirm if the chicke was halal as another post wrote) and he said "absolutely let me check" and quickly came back with confirmation! Service was super speedy thru out our dinner. Now the food: so I expected it to be at least good considering the high reviews. What I didn't expect was the food to be absolutely EPIC!!! Y'all everything was so so good! From the unique mocktails to the delicious small plates. The spicy tempura shrimp was FIRE!! We ended up ordering more. The ramen itself was so fantastic! Rich flavored broth with so many layers of flavor. It was cool we could customize anything as well. Got the vegan fire red opal and added chicken (since it was halal) and my brain exploded from the flavors. This was such a delicious and delightful dinner. We loved it, will be back and highly recommend it!

Yelp
9pm dinner and fast seating time at ramen bar. -great service! Our server Rani was so knowledgeable and welcoming! It was our first time here and she helped me choose which cocktail would suit my taste. She also was able to answer all our questions about different ingredients and she asked about allergies. Very attentive. -Great environment, nice ambiance with music. It's a bit loud, but conversation next to someone close at a bar works well. Not sure about at a table. Nashi Loved the presentation very citrusy and I taste the Asian pear. It's like the best vodka sour I've ever had minus the vodka. The flavors don't quite mask the Sochu and sake, so if that's your thing it's great. Takoyaki -good sauce and texture. Crispy outside and soft creamy inside. Large octopus chunks but wish there were more. Great presentation. Love the egg salad base. Tonkatsu original -savory and not too salty. Perfectly cooked noodles. Large portion. Took home lots of leftovers. Shrimp wonton with egg -not spicy despite the color, earthy Smokey broth. Boyfriend cleaned the bowl. Eggs: perfectly jammy.

Yelp
Service was great. Kept getting water filled up, orders were taken at reasonable time, and came to check with us multiple times for any additional needs. The food was good but I must say these dishes should all include an egg and more protein. Two slices of thin meat is ridiculous when a bowl of ramen cost $13-15 on average. The portion size is not good compared to other restaurants Inside has nice lighting. Small comfortable space with a bar you can get a table or sit at the counter. Outside is a fire pit you could sit st but is cold. Honestly im not sure if I would go back because I left still wanting more even though I got an app along with my ramen. 3.5/5 stars

Yelp
To start off, the server we had was Mirna, 10/10 customer service. Extremely attentive! Food was amazing. Shrimp tempura is always a good appetizer, this time we tried the Brussel sprouts, supper delicious. Mirna made us feel so welcomed, from the moment we walked in we knew we would be in good hands. Thanks for your amazing customer service!

Yelp
This restaurant and bartender ( Oscar ) is absolutely wonderful. The experience was great as well as the Atmos. can't wait to come back and have more delicious food and fun.

Yelp
Mercedes was a great service who explained the entire menu to us in full detail with overwhelming patience and kindness. He went above and beyond for us. The chicken ramen was good and flavorful but I should have added a bit of spice to it. The chicken was a bit fatty but it was okay. My wife has the wonton and they melted in your mouth. However the true winner of the show was the spicy tuna tacos. We would fly back to DC just for those tacos. The atmosphere is family friendly and such a positive culture.

Yelp
I believe this was second or third time here. Wish they can bring back their regular printed menus again. Most places have it back. Helps in aiding what to order without using r cellphones, imo, feels like ordering takeout, without them. I think they make their seats so hard, to make you want to eat and fast and go. Why so many high top tables? The ramen was really satisfying. I got the Yuzu Shio Delight ramen, as their pork tonkatsu broth can get a bit too much for me. The broth was light and really enjoyed it. Two perfect pieces of fatty pork, perfect egg, and noodles. Now that being said, is this worth $19 plus tax and tip? It's for you to decide. If u want more broth it's $5. I'm sure the rent at pike and rose is quite pricey, as Akira ramen down the street bowl of ramen is $13.

Yelp
Absolutely love their ramen. I can't wait for the weather to warm up to enjoy their outdoor seating!!

Yelp
Not a ramen girl so I was surprised how much I enjoyed my time at Jinya. It can get very busy so keep that in mind. Although there are lots of stores nearby to shop around at while you wait. Once you are seated the food is served quick and your water is constantly refilled. The ramen was phenomenal and the portion size was enough to have leftovers for the next day (or maybe even a midnight snack).

Yelp
We've been to jinya twice so far and while the food is decent I wouldn't say that it's my favorite ramen option in the area. After making a reservation via their online waitlist, we still ended up waiting for about 30-40 mins. They have a very small vestibule in the front of the restaurant and there was definitely not enough space for all the people waiting. Once we were seated, we started with drinks, an old fashion and the ginger yuzu lemonade. Both we're very good. We got the dumplings which were pretty good and the tonkotsu ramen. They make a really big deal about the size of the noodles but my husband and I got "different" ones and they were honestly exactly the same. The noodles were well cooked but the broth could have been better. The pork and egg were also a bit over cooked. Overall do I love jinya? No. Would I say it's not worth trying? Also no. It's a very adequate choice to get your ramen fix.

Yelp
Service was great. They were patient and understanding. Overall atmosphere was awesome too. The food is something you should try for a first-time experience. I had the pork gyozas and tonkotsu ramen and they were good. Food to price ratio is so-so. I think this place is good every once in a while, but not worth it to go frequently.

Yelp
It was a freezing weekend where we found ourselves shopping in this area and choosing ramen was an obvious choice. Jinya is a big ramen chain so I didn't have any impression on what to expect from this location. I ordered the Jinya Tonkotsu Black ramen which was served in thin noodles. The broth was more on the fattier side, and the meats were somewhat lukewarm. I wasn't a big fan of the thin noodles but didn't have a great impression of the food. Our server was great, and he paid attention to us for the most part up until he probably changed shifts--- and forgot to get us the bill? We ended up waiting an extra hour after we were done with our food and it was difficult waving down a staff to help us process our bill. For two ramen, a drink, tip/tax, the bill was over $60. Kind of pricey for mediocre ramen. With better and more affordable options in DC, I wouldn't come back here for the ramen.

Yelp
Had a good time! Gerson the server and greeter Mel gave me a wonderful introduction to the restaurant and menu. The place looks awesome, they play good music, and the food comes out fast. Food is good (all ramen is honestly) so I'm happy they made the experience good with their service and proficiency.

Yelp
Sad because they raised their prices but it makes sense. Definitely one of my favorite places to hit up in pike and rose. I really recommend their vegan creamy ramen, the broth is so rich and full. I like it a lot more than their meat based broths and if you're an avid meat eater you can easily add some chashu or karaage to your order like I do. Service is always nice and I really like their outdoor seating for sunny days.

Yelp
As a ramen lover I would say the ramen is solid here considering the alternative options. You may not be wowed but you wont be disappointed. I was served within 3min of ordering so no need to be concerned about waiting. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and nice for a date night.

Yelp
The outside area seemed really nice, but was full so I ended up sitting inside. I was sat quickly and my server was very attentive, even offering happy hour to us a few minutes past the cut-off. Each place setting includes a set of chop sticks and a soup spoon. I really enjoyed my ramen here. It was hot, a pretty large portion, and very flavorful. The broth was rich, garlicky , and a little spicy. It also came out quite quickly. My only complaints are the cost ($20 for the ramen), and a desire for more pork in my bowl (because it was so delicious and I was sad I had finished it). This will now be my go-to ramen spot in Bethesda. Parking was chaotic but free in the large parking deck next door.

Yelp
Visited Jinya Ramen a month or so ago. I got the spicy miso ramen and it was pretty good, I must say. The egg was just right and the veggies and noodles were tasty. I felt the broth was missing a certain depth or element. It was quite busy so we waited a bit before getting seated. Nevertheless, the overall experience was great, and I appreciated the kind staff and service. Overall, I'd rate Jinya Ramen a 4/5.
