The 12 Best Bars In Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Jjan is a windowless bar with dark, grungy corners and crammed booths lit up by string lights. It's also a lot more fun as a place to drink than the previous sentence might suggest. K-pop tunes blast at full volume, and there’s usually sports playing on the TV—but the real entertainment is the people next to you belting out “Happy Birthday” like they’re at a concert. Bowls of complimentary pretzels are on each table, but it’s better to soak up the frozen beer slushies with rosé tteokbokki and stir-fried kimchi pork belly, because the bar food here is quite good. Overseeing all the action is a giant Jinro-branded frog suspended from the ceiling like a guardian angel." - sylvio martins, cathy park

Jjan Review - Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Jjan’s can be hard to find - head around to the back of the building, through a private parking lot until you see the sign - but once inside, you’ll be glad you searched it out. Especially if you’re nostalgic for the basement ragers of your youth. Blinking lights strewn everywhere, giant pitchers of beer, and tables of friends getting very drunk. They don’t serve great food, but the 420 Fries (topped with cheese, Cheetos, and an egg) are exactly what you want at 12:45am when your vision’s starting to get dicey. Also, you definitely go for some frozen beer - it’s basically regular beer topped with a freezing foam ice cap to keep it colder for longer." - Brant Cox

Google
Super fun and lively place! We waited about an hour on a Saturday night (typical for Ktown eateries) and I’d say it was well worth it. We ordered the 420 Fries, Pork Belly with green onions, and spicy oden soup. All were delicious but the standout was truly the pork belly! The marinade is sweet and the green onions balance it out perfectly. The apple frozen beers were a novelty but a little on the pricey side because of it. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, good vibes and free parking definitely adds to the reasons to come back here :)

I visited this place on Sunday. It was my first time there. The atmosphere was calm, the waiters were friendly, and both the food and drinks tasted good. I would definitely recommend this place. I also hope to return to it sometime soon with friends.

Very chill atmosphere, with really good food! We didn't know that one main dish is big enough to split between two people, but it never hurts to have some good leftovers!

I loved this place! We took a chance and tried a new restaurant and we absolutely enjoyed it! I ordered the pork belly with green onions. I ate everything! The green onions are thinly sliced and tossed in a sweet soy type sauce and the pork was super tender. My bf got spicy pork with kimchi and the portion was nice!! The flavor of the food here is definitely worth the price. Wish we could have gotten more water before the end of our meal though haha we were downing it!!

Google
Amazing spicey cheesy chicken and spicey rice cakes... happiness. The pork bulgogi was incredible, should have ordered two, lol. Get the iced apple beer, super refreshing and delicious

Tried various skewers. Took quite a while to receive them. They were ok. The chicken a bit dry and the sausage was like a regular hotdog. Enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. Will try some different dishes next time.

Google
Very expensive drinks and food which would be fine if the quality was higher. I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.

Yelp
Tucked away in a quiet spot, JJan is a hidden gem that will leave you craving for more! This unassuming Korean restaurant serves up massive portions of mouth-watering dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. Service was fast and friendly. The Rosè Spicy Chicken dish is a MUST-TRY - the creamy sauce is reminiscent of a spicy carbonara, paired perfectly with udon noodles and loads of juicy chicken. The pork belly skewers make for a great appetizer, and the pork bulgogi is a fantastic addition to any meal. To wash it all down? A refreshing glass of peach soju, of course! The portion sizes are incredibly generous, so come hungry! Overall, JJan is a great place to satisfy your Korean food cravings. Don't let its humble appearance fool you - the flavors and quality will keep you coming back for more. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Food: The rose tteokbokki is the star and one of my all-time favorite Korean dishes. The sauce is creamy, spicy and sweet. Aside from the rice cakes, it's loaded with cheese, corn, fish cakes, sausage and chewy udon noddles. We also ordered pork belly with green onion and kimchi pancake. I love how crunchy the pajeon was on the outside with every bite and I dipped it on the pasta sauce! Yummy. Obviously, these meals are best eaten when served hot. Service: Staff are friendly. They served the orders fast. Ambience: Crowd can be noisy. Just depends what vibe you are going for when you dine in but the food is worth a visit for sure Parking: We visited around 9ish at night so there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot so all good

Yelp
The vibes here are great! Love how they have the decor setup with the colorful lights and the structures with the dark background, it feels like you're in the streets of Korea. The servers are also pretty attentive too, consistently monitoring the area and they are easy to call upon. I got the jeju orange cocktail and that was pretty good, it just tasted like juice so it's a bit dangerous haha! I also got the the rosé tteokbokki which I liked. The heat was great and I liked the inclusion of udon noodles and corn to it. The sauces was a bit on the thicker side, but it was better than being too watery. I wasn't the biggest fan of the seafood pancake since it just tasted like an omelet to me without much flavor though. Overall, a great experience here.

Yelp
The best anju place in k town. I don't drink so whenever i crave good food during late night, i order from here. My favorites are kimchi fired rice, fried intestine, and spicy pork feet. Literally EVERYTHING on their menu is delicious. Service is always on point. Very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is very cozy and good to drink with friends & loved ones.

Yelp
The food portions are huge! Really good bang for the buck and all of the food was solid. Rose tteokbokki was so good! It had fishcakes, sausage, corn, and udon in it as well. Pork belly with green onions was also really good but it got cold fast, I recommend eating it fresh. Kimchi pancake was solid, big and good amount of crisp. Fried chicken gizzard was crispy and yummy, came with 2 sauces that I didn't prefer but I dipped it in the rose tteokbokki sauce + kimchi pancake sauce instead.

Yelp
The service is so good and they're quick with it which I loveddd! The ambiance gives fun night out, the vibes are so fun and I loved the lighting. The music was a little too loud so we couldn't hear each other, but it was fun lol! The food.... Yalll!!!!!!! The rosé sauce is so good! Highly recommend trying it. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Yelp
I absolutely loved JJAN! At first, I thought it was closed, but it turns out you can only enter from the back. There's a nice big parking lot with plenty of free parking which is a big plus in Koreatown! I was there at about 5:45 pm on a Friday and there was just one other table of four there. By the time we left at 7:15 PM, it was packed and people were waiting for a table. I'm really glad we got there early because we had a nice cozy table in a corner. It was perfect because it was a first date! The only downside is I didn't like the music so much. Other than that, it was perfect. Our server was really pleasant. He took our drink orders and got the food out to us quickly. That was the only time we saw him, though. I had to track him down to settle the bill. Super nice guy, though. He was busy handling a lot of other things. We had the Spicy Rice Cake, $10.99, and the Seafood Pancake, $18.99. Both were delicious and the portions were plentiful. They have a happy hour menu but it's not very extensive. The beer deal is a liter pitcher of Coors Lite for $17. I had a Terra for $10.99 and my friend had rice wine on the happy hour menu for $10.99. When I was leaving, I saw they had frozen beer. Had I known, I might have tried it! I love the dark ambiance of the place with lights strung along the ceiling. Again, the only thing I didn't like was the music, but it got better when it was crowded because I could barely hear it. Oh yeah, they have a couple of small TV screens. They had a UFC fight showing on it. I would absolutely go back here. Especially because it feels like a hideaway! Get there early if you want a good table and don't want to wait. They open at 5:00 PM.

Yelp
As a regular at Jjan for years, it's surprising I've never left a review before. But the consistent quality of delicious foods at jjan always impresses me (my favs are the shake chicken, cheese bath spicy chicken, pancake platter, spicy sea snail salad w noodle, and gochujang stew. Too many lol). Having a nearby spot where I can always count on great food is something I'm truly grateful for. Sometimes, it gets crowded on weekends, and waiting in line becomes part of the experience, but it's always worth it for the guaranteed good time. Plus, I heard BLACKPINK's Jennie was seen hanging out there a couple of days after I went... Just my luck to miss her by a hair! I also missed out when Lisa came after Coachella last year. Can't believe I've missed out twice I can't trust myself sometimes!

Yelp
I went here around 6PM on a Thursday, and we were the first ones here. The employees were nice and the music selection was great. It is a mixture of all genres. The inside is kind of small, but decorated with cute lights all around the ceiling. The prices are great for what you get. They have happy hour, on certain food items and drinks. Everything we ate was delicious! We had the green apple frozen beer, soju, pork belly with green onions, kimchi pancake, corn cheese, spicy chicken, dumplings, and spicy rice cake. The parking is a bit challenging - they have their own lot but there are other businesses that occupy the spaces as well. And street parking... good luck! I would definitely want to come back probably on a weekend and more towards the evening time. :)

Yelp
I'm sure the food tastes like food! But I came here at 12:45am when they close at 2am. Windows barred up and all closed! UPDATE: Got a reply from Kyu regarding parking and entrance in the back. That has nothing to do with the fact that I could see that the lights were off and no one was there one hour and fifteen minutes before your posted closing time. Are the chefs cooking on the roof or a tree? Or is it like a cool speakeasy!? There is a bright laundromat next door. Not gonna lie. If I have to climb through one of the drying machines and tell some scantily clad lady a cool Korean cuisine-based password or phrase then I will upgrade 1 star rtfn!

Yelp
We came at midnight on Friday and got seated right away! The food was amazing, portion sizes and prices were great, and it's a good pocha to spend some time with friends. We shared these between a group of 4: - Cheese Bath Spicy Chicken BBQ: I loved the sauce and the cheese was covering the entire bottom layer of the plate. They do not skimp on the chicken, and you can tell it's good quality chicken thigh meat. - Kimchi Fried Rice: Pretty good but wouldn't consider this the highlight. Thought it was a bit bland compared to the other dishes. - 420 Fries: Topped with hot cheetos, cheese sauce, mayo, and an egg! The fries were like McDonald's, which really hit the spot. Definitely not the most high quality, but it works. - Pork belly with green onions: Tastes like actual KBBQ you get at KBBQ restaurants! Really solid. Just a tiny bit oily near the end. I really liked the food, but it wasn't the best pocha food we've had compared to places we've been to in LA, NY, and Asia. If anything, it makes me want more pocha food! Which may or may not be a good thing depending on you.

Yelp
Amazing!!! One of my favorite places I've ever been to. The food is amazing. The frozen apple beer is delicious and the ambience is really fun but not too loud and obnoxious it's great! We were told the wait would be around 30+ but people were finishing up quick so we were seated in under 10! Been to a couple other Korean bars but this place takes the cake!
google avatar

Yelp
Went with a party of 3, but perfect for a party of 4 because of how the tables are shaped. We got a few items including the Apple frozen beers, rose spicy rice cake, spicy pork belly with stewed kimchi, spicy fish roe soup, and the rice balls. Ambiance was a fun time and we had soju and beer with everything. This place defines what a gastropub is as there was hearty Korean food and Korean drinks with a flare. Dingy, but a delicious fun little gem! FYI: There was free parking (ktown rarity) though parking is a bit sparse

Yelp
This is probably the third or fourth time my friends and I came back since our first visit a month ago. Same great music and noise levels aren't as loud as other bars. Today Tommy and Marcus were the servers :) They're both awesome! We got the spicy rice cakes, 420 fries, black raspberry wine, and A LOT of soju! Every time we come to JJAN we have consistent, awesome service and the food/drinks are always great. When you come to a Korean bar where old and young Koreans go, you know it's good ;) Thanks again Tommy! We'll be back again soon!

Yelp
jjan is such a great pub in ktown, so pretty and the classic korean pocha, i feel like my friends got transported to a real place in korea hehe we rly got the full experience of ktown after this night. got da stir fried gopchang, soju, yogurt drinks, and jeju orange alc drinks, all so yums! i think next time i gotta try the pork dishes and the odaengtang(fish cake soup) or clam soup! tbh all the food here sounds good n service is so great they have a bell u can ring too if u need.
google avatar

Derek L.

Yelp
Good alternative. Wait isn't too long. Chill spot for a good time. Food is decent. Not my favorite among the rest of the pubs in ktown. They have a big menu, from skewers to stir fry. Love the dimly lit space. 420 fries: $14.99 Spicy rice cake: $13.99 Spicy pork belly bbq: $20.99 Soju (14.99 each): $29.98

Yelp
I came here for dinner and drinks to catch up with some friends. The interior is so cute with the hanging lights, and the music playlist added to the fun vibes. The waiters were quick and very attentive to our group. We got the military soup, cheese corn, a pork dish, and the rose tteokbokki. It was the perfect portion size for our group of 6. The star of the night was definitely the rose tteokbokki! It's a must order. We couldn't stop eating it and my friend from out of town loved the flavor so much he got some rice to eat the rest of the sauce haha. This is such a great low key hidden gem. Bonus: there's a parking lot!

Yelp
No Diet Coke Best place in LA for a late night bite. My boyfriend said this is where they used to take dates to vet them and I believe that is a wise choice. Love them for that. Everything was divine and the vibe couldn't be better. It's all dark and secluded and sexy or whatever. They've got a cutout standee of Irene from Red Velvet so that basically vouches the whole place as based and cool. Service was excellent and the server was kinda hot so take that for what you will. Prices are reasonable 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
What We Ordered - Rose Spicy Rice Cake Special with Cheese - Stir Fried Beef Intestine I am not normally a fan of rice cakes but these were delicious!!! It tastes like an Italian version with the pink sauce and extra cheese. It also comes with udon, fish cakes and hot dogs mixed in. The stir fried beef intestines were cooked exactly anyhow I like it. Extra crispy! We also ended up dipping it in the extra pink sauce from the rice cakes. Will definitely come back to try their other items! Happy Hour Everyday from 5PM-8PM

Yelp
My fave gastropub in LA! Such a low-key little spot but the vibes and food are immaculate. I've been here between 5-10 times now, each time introducing it to different groups of friends and they all love it so much too! Vibes: amazing music each time, cute interior with a nice blue hue, and love when it gets a little rowdy on the weekends. Food: I've tried so many things on the menu already as I always like to switch things up when I go. My fave is the rosé spicy rice cake with cheese & add ramen!! Sooo good, hits the cravings & has a nice sweet taste to it. Everything on the menu is pretty good, but would say the skewers just tasted okay to me. Service: Servers are always attentive & friendly! Can also easily get their attention with a button on the wall. I love this place and will continue going :).

Yelp
JJan will always be a second home to me. Ever since we discovered them during the pandemic a few years ago, they've always been so good and so nice! The food is always good! Perfect late night, drinking food. The service is always amazing every time. The vibe is always fun, they play really good music! I've literally tried just about every thing in the menu and there's always something for every one.
google avatar

Jessie C.

Yelp
This isn't one of the best but THEE BEST soju bar/Korean gastropub in LA!!! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a vibe that's nothing short of awesome. The dim lights and music creates an ambiance that's both trendy and welcoming. Whether you're out for a casual night with friends or a date night, JJAN sets the stage for a memorable experience. The menu is full of innovative dishes that take pub food to a whole new level. It's like they've cracked the code on making comfort food incredibly cool. What really makes JJAN stand out is the staff. They're not just servers; they're your cool, knowledgeable foodie friends who are happy to share their recommendations and make you feel like you're part of the scene. In a world where cool is sometimes hard to come by, JJAN effortlessly nails it. If you're looking for a gastropub that oozes style, serves up mouthwatering dishes, and offers a great time, JJAN should be at the top of your list. It's the definition of cool in the world of gastropubs! I highly recommend their fried chicken, 420 fries, and donkatsu w/kimchi pizza sauce! It was so good I had to order some togo :P
google avatar

Young P.

Yelp
This is a great spot to hit up if you just want to chill and drink with your friends. They have a lot of random Korean dishes on the menu that you can order as well. I'm not sure how good their food is but the vibe of this place was pretty chill. Soju and beer are priced well above the market price so I don't recommend coming here as your first stop. Try to get some buzz going so you don't end up ordering too many bottles. I spoke to them in Korean so they just gave me a menu all in Korean but I'm sure you can ask for a menu written in English. Certain dishes pair well with soju and some pair well with beer so if you are not sure what to order, just ask the server and they should be able to give you some recommendation. Overall, this is a really chill spot so definitely hit up this place for a fun night!
google avatar

Julie Y.

Yelp
Casual place to get drinks and food is so good here. The deep fried gizzard was bomb and military stew hits the spot. I love the service here all the staffs are so accommodating and made my time here enjoyable.
google avatar

Myriam Z.

Yelp
Had it at midnight and it was ok back then, we order the squid and rice cand then in the morning I started having symptoms of diarrheal, and had to buy medicines for that. Wouldn't recommend
google avatar

Helen Y.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quieter Korean bar for good Korean food, come check this place out. They have a happy hour menu as well. We ordered a variety of dishes. My favorite is the green onion pork belly. The flavor was superb. I also like the clam soup. The soup got a kick from the black pepper, and is perfect for cold weather. I have not been to a place where the soup comes out boiling hot. The spicy chicken bbq comes with ttuk. Service was quick. I like the Christmas light decor. We had a great time here and left with happy belly.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
Love that there's open parking, no need to stress unless it's full. Love to see the boh in the front smoking lolllll true Korean pub. Happy hour, there's rice wine and derishous apps. Jjan!
google avatar

Jae S.

Yelp
One of my favorite pochas in ktown to visit during the weekends. Jjan is super hip, trendy and ultimately has very good food/alcohol drinks that you can indulge in. They usually have a sign up sheet at the door that you have to check in first in order to get a table. For a group of 4, we only had to wait 20 minutes around 8pm on a Friday night. They also have outdoor seating for when it gets busy busy. Frozen cider beer is absolutely a must try on your next visit! Their pork belly salad and chicken wings with fries is really delicious and pairs well with any alcohol that they offer. Their korean snacks/food that they offer is delicious and they offer a wide variety of hot soups/fried foods/side dishes. Jjan is also one of the few places in ktown with a big parking lot (free) which is extremely rare in ktown. It does get busy the later it gets and wait times should be expected when you come.
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
Rose chicken, shake chicken, and sesame leaf pancake are delicious. Good service and it has a hole in the wall vibe with free parking. Music isn't too loud either. Good for dates or get togethers.

Jasmine C.

Yelp
Love this place all the foods we ordered were super delicious Servers are nice, and they've been taken care of us all the time. Love that they have a Large parking lot in the back! Highly recommend to try this place you won't regret it!
google avatar

Win A.

Yelp
An amazing little hole in the wall kind of place. The food tastes amazing for a gastropub. The waiters were all so nice and would come talk to you and drink with you. 10/10 for the food and service. Highly recommended if you're trying to find a place where you can have a great time with your group of friends. Try the yoghurt soju!
google avatar

Jerry X.

Yelp
ns, seafood pancake, and spicy pork belly bbq. The pork belly with green onions was definitely worth it! Not a big fan of pork belly but the sweet sauce with chili compliments it! The seafood pancake has a good thickness but a little soggy for my taste. I usually like it when it's crunchier. The spicy pork belly bbq was good too! Not too spicy and has a good sweet to it that makes it addictive. The price can be pricy but it's definitely worth the quality of food, vibe, good company and service!
google avatar

Andy Y.

Yelp
Good go to spot for soju and Korean food! Interior: Space out well with tables for small or big groups! Dim lit vibe with good song selection. Service: Very good and friendly always! Food: Pork Belly Green Onions: Very good- if you want something with good meat vibes and that protein with the soju get this. Overall: Spicy food! Haha but the portions are pretty good and the food hits the service is a great vibe.
google avatar

Johanna A.

Yelp
Horrible service. Was actually ignored the entire time my party and I were here. Shocked. Wait staff would make eye contact and completely walk away.
google avatar

Corina A.

Yelp
Everything was so amazing. We came here before going to the bar, had amazing food and a great happy hour menu. We were satisfied with all the dishes. Wings were also super good. It was a lot of food h it we were so hungry we ate everything The ambiance is really cozy and perfect for a friend gathering/drinks with soju. The service was super good as well and our waiter was kind and funny. They have a button you can press when you need something. We went at opening and it filled out pretty fast for a Thursday evening. Will come back again!
google avatar

Jodi Y.

Yelp
Go to JJAN at night! The restaurant is dimly lit & no natural light since the windows are blocked. Definitely a vibe when it's dark outside but not so much during the daytime. We ordered the fish cake soup off their happy hour menu and a rose tteokbokki. The rose tteokbokki is so good! Very creamy and cheesy, not too spicy. The dish comes on a huge plate & served with rice cakes, sausage, udon, corn. The best rose tteokbokki I've tried!
google avatar

Douglas R.

Yelp
r cuts of meat to perfection. The service was top-notch - friendly and attentive. The staff's knowledge of Korean food and their willingness to guide us through the menu made the experience even more enjoyable. In conclusion, this Korean bar restaurant is a hidden gem. It combines exceptional food, drinks, and service in a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. If you're a fan of Korean food or looking for a fantastic place to start your nightout, this place is a must-visit."

Yelp
This restaurant is perfect for both young and old people. The fusion food is very delicious. Thank you so much ! Nice service

Yelp
Food is amazing. I think this a small and local owned business and I enjoy supporting restaurants such as these. Been here twice and there's always a wait because of how great the atmosphere is and the good food. The manager is very sweet and welcoming and very attentive to see if everything is okay. Definitely always hits the spot when I'm craving good and authentic Korean comfort food. It's a loud atmosphere, so if you're trying to talk to a first date, this is not the place to be unless y'all like yelling across the table from each other. Food is amazing as always.
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
So I came back literally the next day cause I was craving the food and it did not disappoint! Got the spicy BBQ chicken again and it was delicious. Also got the clam soup for the happy hour price and it has a bit if a kick but overall good if you are into clams. The real winner was the apple beer! It was such a good contrast to the spicy and hot flavors of the meal and it was so refreshing. And I was pleasantly buzzed throughout my whole meal. Will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
Such bomb lowkey korean tapas/bar!!! I used to just go to toebang/gaam but this place is going to be my new fav go to spot. Arrived on a Friday night at 7:15pm w 6 people, and they were able to accommodate us right away. Expect a line around 8-9pm, but didnt seem like people had to wAit for more than 30-40 mins. The restaurant itself is small, maybe 10ish tables/parties and seems like 6-8 people r the largest they could sit. Menu is extensive and their happy hr (daily 5-8pm) menu was BOMB. Highly recommend their rose ddukboki, cheese corn, BBQ spicy chicken (my personal fav-- not toooo spicy), army soup, seafood pancake and katsu!!! Great vibe, attentive waiters, and overall very very affordable. Between 6 of us, we ate sooo much and drank decently and still had to pay less than $50 after tip/tax

Yelp
Hole in a wall, I think either the mom or grandma runs the kitchen in the back. Great food with happy hour every day from 5pm to 8pm. Good portions even for happy hour. QR code to see the menu.

Yelp
One of my favorite pochas in K-Town! All LA pochas are expensive, but compared to pretty mediocre food from other places, Jjan definitely tastes the best! (still expensive though) The vibes are kinda grungy and intimate because it's such a small and dimly-lit space, but I honestly have so much fun every time. It's located in a plaza that looks pretty sketchy, but the inside of Jjan is always packed on a weekend night. Really fun to take friends or even a date if you like drinking. My personal favorites here are the steamed egg and the soups (especially the fish cake soup), but I've never not liked anything I've ordered from here.

Yelp
Really cool spot! Favorite thing has to be the button you press to get service bc it makes a loud mew noise and who doesn't love that??? Space is cool, very trendy dive vibes. Servers are cool as well! The best thing on the menu has to be the fries with the hot cheetos on them (add an egg, you'll thank me) ... so good and the combo of the sauce they have and the cheetos is great! The skewers are good too! We had chicken, pork belly! Good flavor and decent amount of meat. Lastly got the military soup... I'm not much of a soup person, but even I liked it! Just be careful bc it comes hotttttt! Also that have a pretty good happy hour so get there before 8 to take advantage! We had some beer and peach soju (which was actually really good). Almost forgot the best thing about this place... they are part of a plaza with its own parking lot, which is a great added feature in k-town! Overall a good experience and I would recommend! Stay Cheerful ;)

Yelp
It's cool that they serve the complimentary fried eggs on a skillet - cracking the eggs in front of you. We had to turn away one of the dishes that we ordered because all of us thought it tasted gross from using some old sesame or perilla oil. The food was good enough, but I don't know if I will go back. The server was attentive and courteous (October 2).

Yelp
4.5 stars - solid spot! Legit Korean bar. Menu was all in Korean so that's how you know! They also have an English menu if you ask. They have frozen beer. It tastes good when you get a bit of the frozen beer + liquid beer in the same gulp. Food - good portion sizes. Order the rose udon for sure! Can't wait to come back and try other food items.

Yelp
Hidden, hole in the wall pocha in Ktown (the front door facing the street is locked and makes it look like it's not open, but actual entrance is in the back). Frozen beer was a hit!! Great place to have a night out and drinks with friends.

Yelp
The service here is absolutely fantastic. My friends and I went here for some food and drinks after karaoke and werehappy with most of the dishes. The steamed egg was mad well and fluffy The corn cheese was well balanced and didn't taste overly like mayo The Tteokbokki was one of my favorites! The sauce was really well made and had a lot of depth. Other places taste only of gochujang and corn starch, but this had umph to it. We added ramen and cheese to ours. The kimchi pancake was also well made. It was good on its own, but I wish we had dipping sauce for it. The cheese bath spicy chicken was also one of my favorite dishes here as well. We kept dipping the other foods into this sauce after we finished eating the chicken. The fried chicken here was extremely disappointing. It was very very dry and barely had flavor. We were expecting a soy glazed type of chicken, but it's just standard fried chicken - worse than popeyes and the coating didn't adhere and just fell off. The clam soup was very good! Coming out, it looked like clams in water, but there is so much depth in the soup while maintaining a clear broth. The clams were tough, but the soup was very nourishing. Overall, I'd definitely add this to your list for a late night outing, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Found this little gastro pub in the heart of k town. The location is tricky so navigating there might be hard the first time. The entrance of the restaurant is actually located in the back of the parking garage. My first impression of this place is the social distancing implementation. Most of the tables are divided apart and there are physical divider in certain tables. Besides the typical soju like most what most pubs would offer, they also have a selection of beers. I highly recommend their cheese corn and chicken with cheese, but my favorite was the the military stew! The soup base is very spicy just the way I like it. It comes with ramen, sausage, choice of meat and veggies. The server were really nice and they have great music here, not too loud like the other places I've been too so it's good for conversations with friends. Reservations are not necessary ! Walked in in a weekday and got a table right away
