The Best Bakeries in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Once written off as a pastry desert, Phoenix now boasts one of the region’s strongest baking scenes — and JL Patisserie leads the charge. Founded by James Beard Award nominee Jenna Leurquin, the French bakery now has outposts in Midtown, Scottsdale, and a recently opened third location near the airport. Each offers high-level technique across laminated classics, like croissants and pain aux raisin, and signature hybrids, including chocolate Dubai cruffins and pistachio white chocolate cookies filled with salted caramel. Whether it’s for a baguette, a box of macarons, or a quick espresso and kouign-amann, JL shows there’s no shortage of buttery brilliance in the desert. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Mondays." - McConnell Quinn

13 Phoenix Bakeries Worth Checking Out

"Sometimes, the yearning to stroll into French patisserie and gaze at the artfully decorated delights is strong. When that happens, head to one of JL Patisserie’s two locations in the Valley for macarons, baguettes, and gorgeous galettes. Try one of the cream-stuffed cruffins (a cross between a croissant and muffin)  or a flaky pain aux raisin; you really can’t go wrong when choosing from the abundance of buttery options." - Asonta Benetti, Bahar Anooshahr

The best bakery on the west coast and wayyyy better than most in Europe JL is legit and innovative. Their butter croissants are consistent and they have new specials constantly.

Google
On vacay in AZ, found this adorable French cafe. They have a variety of options from sweet to savory. They also had some fresh baked bread. Everything we tried was delicious. The service was fast and efficient. The coffee was good. It's on the pricey side, a small slice of cake was $8, but on the plus side, a large chocolate croissant was around $8 too. I recommend you stop by if you're in the area.

Google
Pastries are very on par with those we’ve had in Paris! Highly recommend this place. Also their Pistachio Genache cake is to die for! Can’t wait to try the cinnamon roll, it looks amazing!

Google
This place is the only one I’ve tried in the Scottsdale area that has pastries that reminds me of the quality and freshness of Amsterdam, although they are quite expensive here🤧😭 Croissants are HUGE and have lots of layers of flaky crust. Wasn’t a huge fan of the pistachio pastry since it’s quite sweet and rich. The coffee eclair was quite good tho!! fyi there’s no seating indoors, and they only had a couple of tables outside

Google
My Aunt and I went to JL Patisserie for the first time a couple weeks ago. By the time we got there (about an hour to close) there wasn’t a HUGE selection left. Still several things, def get there early if you are wanting a pick of everything. Very happy with the cakes I choose. My personal favorite was the chocolate pistachio cake.

Google
An amazing bakery!! I’ve been wanting to get here and I’m so glad I did! Their croissants and pastries are amazing! The shop is cute and in a good location with plenty of parking. They also have espresso drinks and mine was delicious. Highly recommended!

Google
A fun, local, delicious bakery. They specialize in sweets, but have some good savory options, too. I went for the baguette, and was extremely tempted by all of the sweets, but my wife is the sweets lover, and she is on vacation out of state.the service/weight staff were very friendly, and efficient. They have seating outside, looking into a parking lot, so the atmosphere isn’t too great. Still, my baguette was super delicious – crusty, flavorful, great crumb!

Google
The best croissant in town. Plain croissant and Habanero with cream cheese croissant are my most favorite. Thank you for hiring a new baristas. She makes me a GOOD cup of cappuccino with beautiful latte art. I really wish they can open one store at Chandler or Gilbert. It is quite far to travel there every week.

Yelp
If you're craving an authentic taste of Paris right in the heart of Scottsdale, look no further than JL Patisserie . From the moment we step through the charming doors, we're transported to the bustling streets of Paris. The aroma of freshly baked croissants and pies greets us warmly, promising a culinary experience like no other. Each pastry is a work of art, meticulously crafted with care and precision. I highly recommend starting your day with one of their classic croissants. Crisp on the outside, yet light and fluffy on the inside, it's the epitome of perfection. Pair it with a creamy café au lait for the ultimate French breakfast experience. For something heartier, their deserts is simply divine. The buttery crust gives way to a rich, flavorful filling that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight.

Yelp
Hmmm. I am a little conflicted with this review. The first time I went to this bakery there were limited options and I purchased macaroons as a gift. But, the box didn't fit the macaroons and they were way overpriced for not much flavor. Plus, one was broken. But, my mom picked me up two little cakes for my bday and they were so cute. One was like a chocolate cream pie but not too sweet. Needed a little more chocolate actually. The other was a mini red velvet cake. That was good and cute.

Yelp
Recently stopped by on a Tuesday. Selection was incredibly limited, I'd say less 1/4 pastries and breads available - not sure if it's a summer or weekday thing. Most desserts were chocolate; they had the usual eclairs and macarons. While I enjoy a good macaron, the flavors for the most part were not that exotic or unusual. I ended up leaving with a smaller than usual haul. The grain loaf, baguettes and plain croissants were a must and exceptional as always. Was a little sad there was no ham and cheese croissants left as they are a must have for me. I usually love their opera cakes and cruffins, but none of that was available. I was most excited about trying the pineapple cake (more like pina colada cake), it did not disappoint. The cake was basically a coconut macaron topped with pineapple puree. Would highly recommend. I settled on a cinnamon bun, vanilla eclair and lime cheesecake as a last resort. Minus the cheesecake, all very good, just a little more common than I was hoping for. The lime cheesecake was a total disappointment as most of it was plain with a half mouthful of green lightly lime flavored filling. Sadly very underwhelming. Service exceptional, presentation and packing of the treats great... but I'd only come back on a weekend.

Yelp
I heard good things about this place so I rushed over on a Sunday morning to catch a baguette and a few other things. I wanted a piece of ganache chocolate cake but they had none. I bought a cherry/nut scone, and a baguette. Before I walked away, I asked the cashier if the baguette was fresh since it felt super hard. She tried to school me on how a baguette is harder than regular bread. She didn't know that I have been to Paris at least 10 times and lived there for a few months. So I know what a good baguette feels and tastes like. It had a slight sour doughy taste to it and while the inside was firm, it was edible. The scone was firm on outside, soft on the inside with a few cherries and nuts. Not overly sweet so that was good, but it was not something I would buy again. The total for the two items was 12 dollars so while it didn't break the bank, it wasn't worth it to me.

Yelp
This is one great pastry shop! Each pastry item we got was very well made, with the perfect amount of filling. I also had a dirty chai latte, not the best I've had but pretty decent. This place is definitely worth the try if in or near the area!

Yelp
I've tasted JL Patisserie pastries at local coffee shops but had never visited their store. However, during a visit to Scottsdale one Wednesday, I made sure to stop by. This location is situated in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. I was greeted upon entering. The interior is bright, modern, and inviting. I had just eaten breakfast so I wasn't particularly hungry, but didn't want to miss this chance to visit. I absolutely love their canelés and was there mainly for the canelés. However, the sweet girl behind the counter let me know that they only serve them on weekends. I knew I wasn't going to leave without getting anything, so I decided on a cinnamon roll. I saved it for later as an afternoon snack and it was delightful, just like all their pastries! I still think about their canelés all the time and hope to make it back here on a weekend!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious pastries!! Best croissant I've had in Arizona by far. I loved the spinach and feta one, and the special birthday cake one. Their mini cakes are also yummy, and the service was so friendly! On our first visit they were so kind and patient. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

Yelp
Went in to try pistacchio croissant after looking at the reviews. Unfortunately they are out and was told to come in early before 9am. So tried a pain au chocolate. Looks fantastic but not satisfied with the taste. It could definitely have more chocolate and the quality of the chocolate also could be better. Didn't feel it's worth the price and the looks. Will try pistacchio croissant the next time. Bakery is small but decent ambiance with plenty of parking.

Yelp
Decadent pastries and desserts are made in this glorious patisserie. JL Patisserie knows how to make quality pastries, breads, and desserts the hard old fashioned way that tastes the best! I am a baker and a pastry aficionado, so when I finally visited JL Patisserie I was delighted to discover that they create incredible edible artwork and delicious morsels that everyone should taste just at least once their lives. When we strolled in to the shop we were immediately greeted with a smile and a warm welcome from everyone; they even flirted with our little babies ! Everywhere we looked we saw yummy treats we wanted to try (if only we could consume it all...maybe someday with continuous visits) We ended up ordering the berry cobbler, chocolate croissant, pistachio chocolate croissant, and a butter croissant; all of which were exceptional. The layers in the croissants were amazing; each one perfect and obviously handled with care and precision. The filled croissants were full and the fillings perfectly savory and sweet. The berry cobbler was flakey, sweet but not too sweet and complimented the berries beautifully. The prices at JL Patisserie are high, not going to sugar coat if they are high. However, these pastries are special and perfect. If you are going to have a treat do it the right way and splurge for something worth the calories and money; these definitely are! The shop itself is small and quaint yet inviting. There are spots inside and out to sit down and enjoy your goodies. Grab a coffee, a pastry, and enjoy each moment of life at JL Patisserie; it's worth every bite and penny!

Yelp
I was curious to try the items from JL Patisserie, since the chef was a James Beard award semi-finalist and a good authentic French inspired bakery with fresh from scratch in ingredients is hard to come by in the area. For my first visit, I tried to focus on the simpler items like baguette, croissant, and eclair. They were all delicious and well crafted, with the eclair being my favorite. The choux pastry was well baked and the crème patisserie inside was plenty and specked with vanilla bean seeds. The baguette was also great, but be sure to eat the same day or freeze it due to low humidity in AZ! The croissant had a good height and now nice crispy buttery layers, but I would say the ratio off chocolate to pastry was a little off and the chocolate could have been a more tender. Cannot wait to come back and the cakes and other pastries. Make sure to come early as they tend to run out of items quickly!

Yelp
TL;DR - great pastries, not-so-great coffee The space was clean and well organized. The staff were great, friendly, and helpful! There wasn't any seating inside but there was plenty of seating outside - most of them were two-seaters so if you have a group, you'd need to move things around. We got 2 croissants, one chocolate, and one pistachio chocolate. They were both pretty delicious, though I would probably prefer the pistachio-chocolate croissant without chocolate as it overpowered the pistachio flavor. We also got some coffee from their Spring Drinks menu and I gotta say I was a little sad about these. They were not good at all and tasted like they were made with old coffee. So yea, come for the pastries and maybe skip the coffee

Yelp
Such a wonderful gem off Camelback! Their food was the star of the business and the coffee was a good addition. Overall, this is the place to go for a quick and classy breakfast/lunch. Here's what we ordered with thoughts Food - Jambon Fromage: A must get, the baguette is toasted but fluffy on the inside. The melted ham and Swiss is a perfect pairing. A wonderful savory breakfast option - Ham & Cheese Croissant: Also a must get! The croissant was baked to perfection with many flaky layers. Again, the ham & cheese was a perfect pairing to start your morning. Drink - Iced Salted Maple Latte: This lacked in maple flavor for me and just tasted like a normal latte - Hot Pumpkin Pie Dirty Chai Latte: If you are looking to ever drink your pumpkin pie, this is the drink to get! It was a sweet treat. My husband loved this but I thought it was a bit too sweet. - Iced Salted Butter Toffee Latte: This lacked in that toffee flavor and just tasted like a normal latte. The service was friendly! The lady that took our order was very nice and kind.

Yelp
Great Valentine pastries!!! Someone was certainly showing the love!! Always so fresh and delicious, especially the cream filled croissant, blackberry lemon square, raspberry and cream filled macaron and the chocolate covered strawberries. PERFECTION!!!!!! Worth every calorie!!!!!

Yelp
Food: I got the spinach feta croissant and it was amazing!! My grandpa got a mixed berry cobbler and really enjoyed it too. I ordered a latte and it was so tasty Service: good Ambiance: huge array of pastries, theres something for everyone. I do wish there was more indoor seating though as it was very cold and only one table inside Parking: the bakery is in the plaza so plenty of parking options

Yelp
This place has some amazing flavoured croissants , from butter to almond to Pain au chocolat.. However I decided to try Pistachio Chocolate Croissants and its yumm, the size is huge and could not able to finish it at one go.. Tried their holiday special latte i.e Snowfall Latte and I asked to make it less sweeter which was perfect for me.. I was looking for cruffins which is their specialty but unfortunately that's only availble during weekends.. The only that didnt work for me they do not have proper cutleries when I asked for plate got paper plate, and also to go cup for coffee, I personally feel one could really enjoy their coffee and croissants at outside sitting area if it's properly served!!

Yelp
This is the cutest little French bakery, that I found tucked away in a plaza in Scottsdale. I came here on a Saturday morning and picked up a ham and cheese croissant, which was perfectly flaky, toasted, and absolutely delicious. I also grabbed a lemon bar and pistachio chocolate croissant which I'm excited to try. This place offers a whole array of freshly made pastries and beautiful little cakes with seasonal flavors. They also have a full drink menu! I tried the snow latte, which was a cinnamon infused, coconut, cold brew that was absolutely delicious. The employees are all very nice and helpful and gave excellent recommendations to choose from. I will definitely be returning and look forward to making this a fun weekend treat for myself!

Yelp
Absolute perfection, you can taste the high quality ingredients and skill put into the desserts. So far I've gotten the pistachio croissant, Oreo cookie and the chocolate/Pb brownie.. all to die for. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I've had my eye on this bakery for quite some time and finally found my way here for a Christmas breakfast pre-order. We got both quiches (Lorraine & seasonal), croissants (regular and chocolate), Kouign Amann, and cookies and we warmed everything in the oven which turned out great. The quiches was both delicious - lightly crispy crust and flavorful fillings. Croissants were also delicious. Kouign Amann is something I first had in NY over the summer and when I saw that JL had them I knew these were a must. They have croissant dough with layers of sugar and are flaky and sugary and just so delicious! Definitely a must try if you've never had one. My hands down favorite of them all was the pistachio cookie - HOLY MOLY. Get your hands on this gold immediately - the cookies are thicker and chunky and I've honestly never had anything like it. We loved it so much that my parents went back for the pistachio cake a couple days later as a nice little bday surprise for me. The cake is dense and not exactly cake-like inside as there's layers of pistachio mousse/custard and chocolate mousse, but still so delicious. Definitely a new favorite for me and soon to be yours!!

Yelp
Took my sister here this morning, this is a high end type of patisserie place with comparable pricing. Know what you want because if they skip over you in line so you can finish deciding it can take them a few minutes to get back to you so you can order. The younger girl who took our order passed off both our food we wanted warmed up and our tea order and she said and I quote "she doesn't know what they do & it's not her thing" I'll reserve to keep my opinion to myself on that but that left me incredulous. I've given this place several chances now, it's just not gonna work out for me to continue trying sadly. The quality of food is good and customer service is not to my liking.
google avatar

Tisa K.

Yelp
The selection of pastries and croissants at this place is amazing. There is nothing like starting your morning here with a croissant and a latte. The service was fast and the wonderful lady who helped us gave great recommendations. I would highly recommend for a morning coffee date or even to order ahead for a dinner party!
google avatar

Emma F.

Yelp
Came here during our morning pastry run. The pastries were good, only wished they were warmed up or a bit crispier. Ham & cheese croissant - loved that they had mustard seeds inside, it was a nice twist and enhanced the flavor of the filling. Morning bun - good as morning buns go but wished it was a bit more flaky Pistachio cake - covered in a layer of rich chocolate. I appreciated that it was not too sweet. It also had a nice crunch and pistachio inside.

Yelp
So happy to have this business near my home. My waistline and jeans aren't very nice to me about it though ‍ Anyway, this is definitely one of my favorite bakeries in the city. Everything I've gotten there makes me feel like I stepped into a boulangerie in Paris. The morning buns and croissants are of course our favorite. I recently gifted my boss half a dozen of the chocolate croissants and he was very impressed. My favorite are the chocolate pistachio ones! So many other goodies like cakes too!
google avatar

Yelp
I was seeking a spot where I could sit and enjoy a latte and French pastry. From the photos posted on Yelp, I spotted a cute interior that served coffee, baked goods and it was close to where I was. Upon entering, I discovered there were only four chairs lined against the front window directly beside the line of customers inside. The two patio tables were occupied so I chose to eat in my vehicle and rest my feet. I also found out that this flagship location was started by a 26 year old Jenna Leurquin in 2019! Good for her! JL Patisserie offers a beautiful glass display case showing their fresh baked goodies and coffee bar. I purchased an individual Pain aux raisin $6. Scottsdale sales tax .48 and Inflation Charge .18. I'm not sure what the extra "inflation charge" was added to my bill but I did enjoy my breakfast pastry. I don't see this location as a destination place for me to dine in but rather to purchase and take home. I read that the Phoenix location is larger and I just may drop in there when in Uptown Phoenix.
google avatar

Carlin T.

Yelp
Don't miss out on the chocolate pistachio croissant! I'm a die heart lover of a quality made almond croissant, and this little gem makes it hard to choose between this and any almond croissant! Also highly recommend the vanilla eclair! The cream tastes like melted vanilla ice cream! Amazing!
google avatar

Alexandra L.

Yelp
This is my favorite French patisserie in Arizona. Absolute top notch quality. Everything is high quality and impeccable in flavor. They feature Cruffins and other specialty items on the weekends. But they have plenty to offer in their weekly rotation as well. They of course have coffee and tea offerings as well to go with your pastry goodies. The inside is very small for ordering, small high top, and there are some tables outside. They are located in the plaza next to the Harkins and Crust Brothers.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this amazing bakery in over a year and to my very pleasant surprise, not only are they thriving but appear to have more than doubled in size which is assuredly die to all the glowing reviews and recommendations I handed out like Halloween candy - but seriously, the only disappointment I've ever had was that I didn't get there one day before they ran out of the most amazing cinnamon rolls I've ever had the pleasure of tasting It is always immaculately clean, the service is always served with a friendly and welcoming smile, and take the time to explain, in detail the various flavors and options available while still managing to be efficient with the service. So proud and happy to have this bakery just down the street and look forward to many more years of enjoying the service and delicious pastries (they also have coffee and ice cream of various, delicious flavors as well)

Yelp
The Scottsdale location of jl.patisserie absolutely did not disappoint. Incredible French pastries, good service, and relaxing ambiance! Make this your next stop when you are craving something sweet! Pros: -Delicious pastries: my friends and I tried several croissants, crepes, and macaroons. Each item was better than the next. One croissant sandwich was infused with spinach and feta, and this was the group's collective favorite! -Great service: service was friendly and non-pretentious though we surely mispronounced a few things! Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. -Seating area: The Scottsdale location features a cute outdoor seating area. The tables comfortably seat 2. Perfect to grab a bite and catch up on some emails or get some reading in! -Authentic experience: if you're looking for an authentic French experience, look no further! A great spot for a little indulgence, or a fun date! Cons: -None to speak of! Honestly such a delicious stop. Other: The Scottsdale location is a bit smaller than the Phoenix location that's across from Central High school. Both are great, but if you have a bigger group or want more indoor dining space, I'd recommend the larger location in Phoenix.
google avatar

Susie D.

Yelp
They were out of bread by the time we got there, so we got the croissant and Caesar salad instead. The croissant had good layers, but the Caesar salad was lacking. The croutons were a bit soggy, the lettuce not the freshest, and there was something off about the dressing. Grab-n-go options from a refrigerator can be tough, so I'd stick to the fresh pastries.
google avatar

Jacque C.

Yelp
I had to come in again!! This time I intentionally came in early so I could take my time and take lots of photos while I tried to refrain from taking the whole cases home!! I was proud of my restraint in only buying a few items- took them home to my sweet hubby who loved them!!
google avatar

Yelp
Just an updated review because I've been back a few times now! I always like to try something new every time and it's all so delicious. Picked up some treats on Mother's Day and even though the line was long outside it was well worth the wait (and it went by fast). Everything is so fresh and expertly crafted. A go to spot when I'm in the mood for a treat or picking up something yummy for a special someone!

Yelp
Thanks to JL Patisserie for delivering a fabulous breakfast to my office recently... I don't work from the office that often, so what a treat it was to connect with coworkers and also have a beautiful breakfast spread to choose from. There were all kinds of perfectly crafted baked goods and treats, but I went for a couple of mini quiches and also had a lemon lavender energy bite and classic croissant later in the day. Everything I tasted was amazing and based on the reactions I saw from others as they enjoyed the treats, I wasn't the only one who was impressed! I did not know about this patisserie before, but I now see that they have both a Scottsdale and Phoenix location, they offer all kinds of baking classes, and offer a diverse menu of both savory and sweet options. I will definitely be bookmarking this business and planning to patronize them in the future! I suggest you do too... Bon appétit!

Yelp
My parents came into town for my 30th birthday this past weekend and they wanted to try a new bakery so I ordered my cake from this French bakery and I was so impressed with the quality!! The cake was perfect and so beautiful. I ordered the pure chocolate cake and you could tell the chocolate was such high quality based on the rich taste of the cake, the mouse, and the ganache. When we walked in, we were also met with a huge case of mini cakes and pastries that we had to look through! We decided to get a couple to share for breakfast the next day. We decided on the snickerdoodle cruffin (croissant muffin) and the bacon, cheddar, jalapeño biscuit. Both were also absolutely delicious. Can't say enough good things about this place!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
I've been following this place on Instagram for a while because of their amazing content so I had to eventually try their famous cruffins that they advertise every weekend. They change the flavors so I really didn't want to miss on this week's one. The whole place was so cute, decorated for the holidays and the cruffins exceeded my expectations. They are so flavorful and the croissant dough tasted exactly like the croissants I've had from the boulangeries in Paris. The service was exemplary as well and the crew looked like they love their jobs which gives me a sign that it's a good workspace! Will be back for more cruffins and possibly my birthday cake
google avatar

Yelp
JL never disappoints. Haven't been back in a while but ended up here on new year's eve and everything we ordered was delicious. Their chocolate pistachio croissant is even better than I remember..lots of pistachio cream and not too much chocolate..just perfect! Tried the apricot almond scone and chocolate cherry bread pudding as well. That was probably the best scone flavor I have tried here but didn't love the bread pudding. Really wanted to try the new cookies but decided to skip since they were $6.50 each and looked small for that price. And even though it was crazy busy, the staff were super sweet and helpful. Overall still our favorite bakery in AZ!
google avatar

Tori V.

Yelp
Enjoyed their macarons - but I'm pretty sure that the gluten free baguette that was bought over the holidays was NOT gluten free as it was told to someone who purchased it there. (We had guests for Thanksgiving and they brought macrons and a baguette, saying this place was all gluten free - looking on the internet, that's not necessarily true: there are some GF items but not everything is. Those with Celiac's Disease didn't eat the baguette - as it was clearly not a GF product.)

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here for the first time and my lord, I was impressed. It was Valentines so they had all sorts of yummy seasonal treats out! I got their breakfast sandwich heated up, which was fabulous, and I tried one of the lattes that they had for Valentines, which was amazing! I highly recommend for breakfast or brunch or even just for treats!

Yelp
This business keeps growing and growing, lots to choose from and quite the crowd pleaser from service to sweets. Well done JL team

Yelp
I've had this bakery on my wish list for a few years now and was disappointed with my first experience here. I ordered the Mango Raspberry Entremet cake for my mother's birthday. The cake photo and description online was misleading, as my cake had no mango or edible gold flakes decoration, and looked very bare compared to what was advertised. The cake itself was nice, but became very wet after bringing it home. For the $45+ price, I expected higher quality.

Dawn D.

Yelp
So many appetizing options! We chose the large cinnamon croissant, spinach and feta roll, and strawberry danish. All of them were fantastic! Flakiest pastries I've ever had and delicious! Saved some for after our hike and it was still tasty! Only some tables outside, none inside. But overall, would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Came two weekends in a row, the first being the Saturday before Easter, there was a line. It moved pretty good, 2nd weekend just a much smaller line. So 100% love their quiche Lorraine, easy to heat up in the air fryer. Their pastries are flaky and crispy but not a fan of their filled pastries. The first weekend, I got a peanut butter mousse and chocolate filled croissant based pastry. I ate the outside and threw the rest away, way too much filling. 2nd weekend I got a chocolate pistachio croissant, thinking the pistachios was just the topping on the outside, I was wrong, it had green filling and as typical of chocolate croissant not enough chocolate (really minimal). Again the pastry outside was fabulous but way too much on the filling. Next time I am going to just get a basic croissant or chocolate croissant. Would I return yes but no more filled ones for me.

B T.

Yelp
I saw all the great reviews on Yelp and couldn't wait to try this place. Bought a cannele, almond croissant and a scone. The best one out of the three items was the scone. The scone has a great crunchy texture on the outside and moist on the inside. The cannele was very disappointing. I love canneles and have had many throughout different places I've visited. A good cannele should be nice and caramelized on the outside with a crispness texture and a custard texture on the inside. This one was very soft on the outside but the custard texture on the inside was good. I so wanted it to be exceptional. The almond croissant had a nice almond filling but the outside texture could be better. Maybe it was an off day? Hope it might be better next time.

Yelp
Fun little place for locals and tourists in Scottsdale. Very cute inside, LOTS of desert options. The crossaint will melt in your mouth!! Seating is outside, and it's small, so it's best to grab and go, plus no public restrooms. It's a place to sit on the patio for a bit and then head out, with treats for everyone at home!

Yelp
Always perfection ! Employees always friendly & helpful.. especially Tess.. Recently tried the napoleon & lemon bar., oh my! Hope they make the small loaf of oat honey bread again as it was exceptional!

I found this bakery while craving a croissant on vacation and they did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and fresh, the owner was incredibly kind and the employees were very helpful. I'm definitely coming back.

Yelp
Oh my god. There's so much to choose from. I wish I could have bought one of everything but I lack self control so I probably would have eaten all of it and felt sick later. Hard pass on that. I'll just come back a few times. The chocolate chips cookies are hands down some of the best I've eaten in my entire life and I've eaten my weight in chocolate chip cookies over the years. I'm not a huge chocolate cookie fan, but their double chocolate cookie made me think twice about it. It was chocolatey without being too sweet and it looked cute too. I liked the sprinkle of cocoa nibs on top. Cuuute. They had canelles! Most places do not have them and so I bought a few. The outside is crisp but the inside is pillowy soft, with a light vanilla flavor. Yum. The mini picked a lemon raspberry cake with coconut. She didn't love it but she also doesn't love coconut. I think she picked it bc it was a bright yellow and stood out. It tasted lemony with the slight tart sweetness of raspberries. Nothing was overpowering and the cake had great moisture and density with a good crumb. The peanut brownie was decent. I like really fidget brownies, this was leaning more towards cakey. The peanuts in the brownie were a nice touch. The ganache on top helped up the chocolate factor. And the peanut butter layer, if you don't like peanut butter, don't order it, lol. The tiramisu is not to be missed. I bought it to put it in my lunch at work to cheer me up. It did. The name "pick me up" is so fitting. It was full of delicious coffee flavor, creamy and basically when you dream of perfect tiramisu, it's this one. #need *Do not skip the tiramisu* I saw the ham and cheese croissants after I checked out. That will be the first thing I try next time I'm back. This place is so good, totally worth the long drive for me. I didn't take pics of everything bc my lack of self control tore into them first. ‍ Yaaaaassss. I hope this place stays open forever.

Yelp
This patisserie is a gem! I cannot believe I live so close and missed out all this time. Their croissants are to die for, and hands down the best I've ever had in the valley. They are extra large, extra flakey and extra buttery. They have amazing quiches that are soooooo fluffy and melt in your mouth. They offer both vegetarian and meat-eater options on those. I like their coffee and they also have matcha! Plenty of choices when it comes to drinks. All of their pastries are reasonably priced. You get your moneys worth here!! There are only 2 or 3 two-seater tables inside and a few outside. It will be nicer weather soon so that won't be an issue, but we have had to take our stuff to go because of this. Would absolutely recommend trying this place if you're in the area!

Yelp
The real deal. Sweets are delicious and beautiful to look at on a platter. Their baguettes are sublime. Go early, they are sold out quickly.

Yelp
I personally haven't step foot in this shop but my cousin did bring me a butter croissant to try. Omg it was light, buttery and super flaky. I absolutely enjoyed it and hopefully she will bring me back more treats from this shop. Apparently they are also James Beard finalist so you know the quality is superb.

Yelp
Excuse me while I have a love affair with this cinnamon roll. Easily the best in all of Arizona! So buttery, gooey, and made with love. My family has been telling me about this fantastic bakery while I've been in school back in New England. Now that I'm home for the summer, I finally got to try it! Boy did it live up to the hype.
