"For us, Joanna's Marketplace is synonymous with one thing: smiley face cookies. A trip to this South Miami market isn’t complete without one. But it’s also a great place to pick up lunch. We like The Beast, a roast beef sandwich with lettuce and tomato slathered in sinus-clearing horseradish between two pieces of fresh sourdough bread. No matter when you go, just make sure you swing by the bakery and get a couple of those sugar cookies. The list of existing things that make us feel like a '90s Miami kid gets shorter every year, but biting into one of those crooked yellow smiles is one of them." - Virginia Otazo

"This Pinecrest staple is more than just a market with specialty goods; there’s also a thriving bakery and cafe inside. Breads from the stone oven and plenty of breakfast breads and pastries are available early each morning. Grab a dozen bagels or muffins on the way to a meeting or a dinner party to be a guaranteed hit." - Amber Love Bond

Our family catered all the sides for Thanksgiving dinner. The process was efficient and easy. They were so helpful when ordering and pick up was seamless. Then we have had a need, due to a family medical emergency, for meals to be delivered. Also they were wonderful over the phone in assisting with ordering and the food arrives on time and is hot and delicious!! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Joanna's Marketplace offers a unique shopping experience with its friendly staff and a variety of samples that let you try before you buy. The store features a well-stocked bakery, deli, and hot meal section, ensuring a wide selection of delicious options. Additionally, they carry a variety of rare drinks and snacks that you won't find elsewhere, making it a favorite among locals. Although the prices can be a bit on the expensive side, the quality of the products and the pleasant atmosphere make it worthwhile. With tables and chairs available, you can enjoy your food on-site, adding to the convenience and overall enjoyment of visiting.

Google
Pastries are delicious however the people making the food at the deli seemed as they don't want to be there, they look annoyed and take way to long with the orders (i ordered a toasted roll with butter).it's the morning and people have to go! Just for info when I went there were only me and another person ordering so it wasn't busy. The atmosphere felt heavy. Sharing so hopefully management does something for employees to help them with their customer service skills.

Google
Excellent service. Huge variety of food, from sandwiches, to pastries. Cooked food, catering services, fine wines and chocolates, awesome charcuterie, and so much more!!! Seating area outside is limited. I saw only 3 tables. They offer curbside and it looks like they have an awesome system. You text when you get there and they will bring you your order. The pastries we got were amazing. A quiche and a pecan bun... wow so good.

Good coffee and friendly service. Great pastry section. Sandwiches, bread, and salads looked good.

Google
Thought $11 was a bit steep for a breakfast sandwich, although wouldn't mind if sandwich was great. Unfortunately was not, just ok....Not fresh cooked eggs, baked egg casserole of sorts, was soggy. Crossiant was fresh baked and bacon was good.

Love love love this place! Has such diverse foods inside. Very unique, some from other countries, just some fun labels and packaging that made me curious. They serve breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are delicious. They have all kinds of fresh breads, muffins, etc. Lots of organic stuff. It's just a gem of a place. If you have a chance to drop in check it out! I felt like a kid in a candy store. Enjoy! If my review helped you please like👍🏻 and follow. Stay tuned for more adventures!

Finding a good bagel outside of NYC is a mission and Joanna's definitely does a phenomenal job. Also, order their parmesan chicken tenders if you want to taste heaven.

Yelp
The food service here is amazing. My wife and I stop here every weekend to get away from the kids and I have to say the food is to die for. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, fresh coffee. Their market is pretty cool too. They have items that I haven't seen in other places before. This makes them unique. The ambiance is very home like. Everyone greets you with a smile and recommends items off the menu. Everything is a must try! From the hot sandwiches, to their cold salads, even their inhouse pickle is delicious. Give them a try.

Cristina G.

Yelp
Wow! I'm blown away by their avocado sandwich! I didn't realize it's basically 2 sandwiches in one! This place is always a treat, but I had no idea their sandwich game was this strong! I am definitely going back to try more! Also the staff was so sweet and friendly and ready to help the crowd so the lunch rush moves quickly. The parking can be tricky, it's free, and there's some, but the area is always busy. But so worth waiting for parking. I look forward to coming back. I also did get a few day-old muffins because I love a yummy day-old. I tried the chocolate, and she was a little dry, but nothing a little coffee can't fix. Next time I might spend the extra bit for a fresh one.

Yelp
I so wanted to love this little marketplace. I was pretty excited to grab a little breakfast to-go from Joanna's marketplace so I stopped by before I started my day. I got one of their breakfast wraps thinking how could you go wrong? But the egg wasn't fresh. It was a cube of baked egg, it wasn't even heated up all the way through ... therefore the cheese was unmelted and the egg was fridge cold. How could you mess up breakfast? I ended up not eating my wrap. The place is cute if you need to grab a cold drink or a pastry, but I wouldn't really stop for more than that. The lady who helped me with super nice, I wish I just tasted what I ordered before I went on my way.

Kelli K.

Yelp
This is a go-to lunch spot. There are so many options (bakery to deli) and I've never had something I didn't like. The chicken salads are good on a sandwich, but I'm a sucker for a lox bagel. The staff is friendly, and everything is made fresh. I've had the pleasure of meeting the owners. They're kind and take pride in their business.

Anna M.

Yelp
To me this place gives me the same nostalgia as Norman brothers. I grew up coming here and coming after school with my friends to buy the croissants. I usually order the Sandwiches but I came in this week for some coffee. I love the bakery and different type of local items they sell.

Wen-Ju C.

Yelp
Joanna's Marketplace has been around for years. They have delicious baked goods, sandwiches, meals, desserts, and unique food and drinks from other countries. During holidays, it's always packed with people ordering and picking up food. For example, during Thanksgiving, people line up to get freshly prepared and cooked mashed potatoes, turkey, sauces, vegetables, sides, and more. There's seating outside so people can eat and drink. Super dog friendly. The employees are really nice and welcoming, which is pretty rare in Miami. My favorite items that I've ordered in the past are almond croissants, cookies, salmon sandwich, cooked vegetables, and more.

Rob P.

Yelp
I was over at the car dealership a few blocks away and looked for places nearby. What a great find. I had a sandwich and a cheesecake. I loved the atmosphere, from the guy at the counter making the sandwiches to the cash register girl, everyone had a great attitude and was very helpful. I wish there were more places like this. The food was good too.

Janice W.

Yelp
Great sandwich's. Great service. The staff is very helpful and joyful. Highly recommend

Kevin P.

Yelp
They make the freshest sandwiches in Miami! Highly recommend the Cuban cowboy. Everyone there is very friendly. Great place for an earlier lunch to hangout.

Nick O.

Yelp
Great prepared foods. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. The sandwiches are all excellent, my loves their pastries. You really can't go wrong with anything here.

Sylvia G.

Yelp
Great spot for a sandwich or dessert. Prices can be a little high but it's a great little spot.

Omayra B.

Yelp
We love everything in this place... The sandwiches, the already cooked food, the breads/bakery selection.

Yelp
Can't believe it's been around for so long & we never knew! Loved the food loved the atmosphere. Service was great! Gotta say a little bit confused on ordering process but it worked out. We had breakfast sandwich. It was HUGE shareable for me. Delicious! We bought muffins to take home, but gotta say they did not make it to the car! Fresh amazing! We r now planning on visiting for lunch! The sandwich menu is abundantly filled with scrupulous pickings! Can't wait! And gotta take one of the tempting desserts home!!!

Yelp
The service at the deli/sandwich bar is by far the worst service I have ever encountered. We asked for a steak sandwich and the gentleman said they were out of steak and chicken. As I was browsing the menu to figure out what to order that was I stock a lady said they yeah they were out of a lot of the meats because it they were about to close. It was 2:20pm they close at 3pm. And then she also interjected threat it was her birthday. When we didn't react to it as we were trying to figure out what to order she said "yeah no one gives a fuck they just care about their sandwiches" she kept going on about it with foul language. About 10 mins later another customer comes in and asks for steak sandwiches and miraculously they had steak back in stock. The staff at the deli is very unprofessional, disrespectful and it's appalling that foul language is acceptable. We had decided to give this place a try since we just moved into the neighborhood. It's the first and last time we come.

Yelp
We celebrated Hanukkah last night with a wonderful meal from Joannas. I googled Hanukkah dinners to go and they popped up thankfully. It's no secret I don't love to cook and this year especially I want to feel like a guest at each holiday! Thanks to this wonderful restaurant I was able to enjoy and relax with my family. We ordered Kugel, chicken soup with matzah balls, challah, brisket, latkes and cookies. It was the perfect combination of traditional fare. The heating instructions were good but I suggest adding more time if you like your food very hot. Their curbside pick up is so slick and the food runners were so lovely when handing off your food.

Teri L.

Yelp
Ordered our Thanksgiving turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberry from Joanna'd this year. Everything was delicious and the ordering and pick up system was great. Next time I'll opt to have it carved.

Yelp
This deli was once fantastic! The tuna is delicious, but everything else about this deli is dingy. The owners need to upgrade because the inside of the deli looks run down and sad. I decided to make my own tuna so unless snd until this deli/ market is renovated I will not be going back. Excellent customer service.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick afternoon snack; too bad I'm on a diet and cutting calories because I had so much to choose from and cheat with. It's a little market and deli where they sell all types of fresh bread, muffins, desserts, bagels, croissants. They have a selection of cheese, wine, chips, cookies and other goodies. They have numerous healthy salads, and you can make your own, as well as an extensive sandwich menu. The manager, (I think) Jeffrey, was kind enough to show me around and explain the menus. Also spotted him replacing a bagel that one little toddler had dropped accidentally. I like it when people go out of their way to make a little one happy! I had two little salads: chicken, light mayo and celery salad, and cucumber, red onion, black olive and tomato salad. They were both very fresh and delicious! By the way, those muffins and croissants in the photograph were there for your viewing pleasure - because unfortunately, I didn't eat them. I'm so glad they are close to my office because I'm planning on coming back for more.

Yelp
TLDR - In the words of Stefon from SNL, "this place has everything." This local market and deli is something every neighborhood in Miami needs. They got literally everything here, from wine and craft beers, to freshly baked goods, to snacks you won't find anywhere else, to freshly made food and sandwiches. I'm here of course to talk about their food, mainly their sandwiches. I've been coming to Joanna's for a few years now and each time I'll get a different sandwich. Not once have I been disappointed. They use all the freshest ingredients to make pretty hefty sandwiches to your liking. They have hot and cold ones and you'll have to take a look at the menu yourself, because the list is long. Some recommendations I have based on the one's I've tried are these right here: The Lederman Club - turkey BLT with muenster The Chicken Avocado - grilled chicken breast and provolone The Beast - fat stack of roast beef with horseradish The Godfather - prosciutto, artichoke, and mozzarella 400 Year Old Deli - straight up stack of prosciutto with parmesan and a touch of balsamic + olive oil The people working behind the counter are also really attentive and feel free to ask questions or make requests if you don't see anything perfect. Protip - Get your sandwich pressed. It'll take longer, but it's worth the wait.

Yelp
We spent 10 days in the Pinecrest area on summer vacation visiting family and have to say, this was our go to place!! My kids could not get enough of the Parmesan chicken tenders and fresh baked goods. I loved that I was able to get a fresh made to order salad each day as my kids begged to stop in after going to mini canes camp. Staff was beyond friendly and was always greeted with a smile. Wish they had an family owned establishment like this back in the Phoenix area.

Philip R.

Yelp
Ordered a take out holiday dinner. Turkey. Brisket. Gravy. Broccoli. It was the best I've ever had. The Turkey was amazing. So juicy and tender. The brisket spot on. This is my go to place from now on. All the sides exceptionally fresh and delicious. I've had my expectations lowered in recent years but Joanna's restored it. They do it right.

Roxana A.

Yelp
The best place for a quick bite to eat. They have the best kale salad , the best cranberry bread , and they have a huge variety of foods from the bar. A hidden gem. Located in the same place as the restaurant grown. Come by you regret it.

Matthew S.

Yelp
Only complaint: I ordered a sandwich tray for a Jewish post-funeral gathering. IThere were ham sandwiches on the tray which I took off before delivering.

Gerald P.

Yelp
I have used Joanna's Marketplace over the years, and I've never been disappointed. Today I needed delivery on very short notice, and they did everything they could to accommodate me and made the delivery on time--incredible service without complaint. The food is always excellent.

Neil C.

Yelp
Love this place! Joanna's is many things: bakery, cafe, food market, deli, breakfast/brunch spot, and more. I'm always drawn to their Cuban Cowboy, which is a sandwich btw and it's huge. It's just one of their many gourmet sandwiches. Other than that, they have fresh and delicious foods that are ready to eat. Joanna's artisanal breads are not to be overlooked. They're made fresh daily in their bakery along with other fine pastries that I look forward to. Joanna's also has a menu for almost every holiday. They also offer catering for events small and large. The only problem with Joanna's is it's not closer to my home because I'd probably be eating here almost every day.

Ana V.

Yelp
We have been going to Joanna's for years!! They have a top quality bakery, deli and great coffee. Joanna's is also a wonderful place for prepared foods, they have daily specials and also feature gourmet pizzas, tacos along with amazing sandwiches. If you are having an event they have a wonderful catering menu. Best thing is they are family owned and operated. Love this place!!! You need to stop by and try it; you won't be disappointed.

Will S.

Yelp
Always love the arrogance when you call to place a small order and they tell you they are not taking phone orders and to come in. No thanks, I'll pass!

Julio H.

Yelp
Joanna's is a great place where you find breads, pastries, hot food, coffee, and lots of unique sodas. I come here for the sodas mostly, they always bring in some funky stuff. Plus, it is something that is uniquely American, or from the USA. Drinking soda makes me feel patriotic. Yay! The hot food is pretty good too. I have had chicken and fish, and it has been pretty good. Not excellent, obviously the stuff seats under a hot lamp, but pretty good. The bakery is OK, I am not crazy about the breads, but the pastry counter is awesome. I think they also make subs. The staff is extremely nice, and they actually make conversation. That is rare nowadays. It is just that kind of store, I guess, where people want to make a connection with the customers, mostly because it is like a community market. Come by, you'll enjoy it, and you'll get a feel for the area.

Ines R.

Yelp
They have everything and more. Lots of gourmet and specialty foods I've only seen for purchase on line. They offer curbside pickup and have a nice outdoor seating .They have a huge menu of subs, huge selection of prepared foods, fresh baked breads and pastries. Fresh coffe, old timey gum and candies. Imported cheeses, snacks and wine. It's truly a one stop shop they even have cards. The employees are so nice and invite you to try different things. I love this place.

David K.

Yelp
This is a great high end deli, with a great bakery. Prices are a bit high but not outlandish and the food is always good

Angela C.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Stopped in to Joanna's marketplace for lunch sandwiches. I had a hard time deciding because everything on the menu looked so delicious! My boyfriend and I settled with the #4 and #5 which were called "the beast" and "the 100 year old deli." Both sandwiches were so delicious! They came with a side of your choice of cold slaw, pasta salad, potato salad, or macaroni salad. I will definitely be back here the next time I'm in the area.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a quick lunch a couple of weeks back. Someone recommended this place for one item in particular, their "Cuban Cowboy" sandwich. As my hair salon is in the same shopping center, it made for the perfect opportunity after getting my hair done. I popped in around 1:00pm. The lunch crowd was there, and the place was quite busy. But this is always a good sign that a place is good. After placing my order, I walked around the establishment to see what else they offer. Their market offers a nice variety of salads, desserts, and snacks. They also make daily hot food, so for those that don't necessarily want a sandwich, that is an option as well. It's a very nice place, and maintained and well-kept. My sandwich was done within 10 minutes and my side was a fruit salad. The sandwich was so good! The bread was pressed and crispy, and the meat was perfectly cooked. It was such a great combination with the cheese and maduros. The portion was very generous, and way too big for me to finish. I definitely recommend getting this sandwich. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My family & I have been visiting Joanna's for yrs. One of my favorite things to do on the wknd. Is to get up early & take a drive thru Old Cutler & go to this awesome place. The Croissants are delish, (ham & cheese my fave), another must try is the Cheese & almond croissant (it's thick, soft, delish, great soft cheese flavor & a must have with a cup of !). Bagels are baked fresh daily, Ciabatta bread is OMG huge, crusty, delish, soft on the inside (I take out all the dough, stuff it with Prosciutto, chorizo , & usually Manchego cheese, (white cheddar also recommended, and a bit of EVO!- great! Now my mouth is watering!) . Also you can get the small Ciabatta rolls if you're too tempted to eat the whole loaf! Anyhow let's fast forward a few yrs., days, etc. to today. I usually don't eat hot dogs but today I asked Hubby what he wanted for lunch, & then kind of mentioned I wanted a Hot dog & he agreed it was a great idea. (I didn't talk him into to it though! ). So I called Joanna's & they had their grill day (Saturday's) & guess what they had???... Burgers & HOT DOGS!!!!. Got in our SUV & off we went. Arrived ordered the dogs, went inside to get drinks, chips & to pay of course. As we stepped out & headed towards the grilling station, one of the cooks had these 2 GOURMET Hot dog buns ready for the main event. The other guy grabbed the h.dog w/ his hand (gloves on of course) & carefully placed it in the bun, at this point let me tell you I wanted my mustard, ketchup, relish & onions as fast as possible so I could go to my car and start eating. I'm happy to say it was a GREAT choice to come here for lunch today because it was exactly what we wanted & absolutely delicious! We sat in our car, pilled on the condiments (mine was a bit messy but ohhhhh sooo worth it). Totally recommend, a must have & even though we're going thru some delicate times now with Covid, it's nice to enjoy the simpler things in life, like having a Gourmet Dog in your car with your best friend

Leonor M.

Yelp
The service at the deli/sandwich counter was the worst! The staff was very unprofessional & unfriendly. The process of ordering a sandwich was such a nightmare I ended up having to get prepared cold salads since my lunch break was almost over. They were over priced and all 3 cold sides were nothing to write home about. Unfortunately my experience at Joanna's was not that great and I have no plan in the near future of returning.

Barbara S.

Yelp
Located off of US1 & 67 Avenue, Joanna's Marketplace is small but has lots of fresh, homemade breads, pastries, desserts, coffees, specialty sandwiches and salads. I order my latte; decaf with almond milk and find their latte coffee to be full of flavor. Lots of pastries and breads to choose from. Sandwiches and salads are also made on the spot, anyway you like. Their tuna and chicken salad are delicious and very popular. Other items: chips, cheese, honey, drinks, sodas, and chocolates. Seating area available inside & outside.

Dennis H.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast with my grandkids, Reese and Aiden, The owner was very friendly and very helpful, He took the boys over the the menu board and help them order their sandwiches , food was very fresh and were very delicious. They had several different types of coffee. The staff were also very friendly. we can't wait to go back again.....

Maggie C.

Yelp
Stopped by this morning (Hanukkah starts tonight) to see if they had sufganiyot (jelly donuts) they only had pre-orders but went out of their way to see if they had any extra and I left with a box of blueberry and chocolate hazelnut donuts. They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The sandwiches, soups and prepared meals are always delicious. So glad we have Joannas in the neighborhood!

Yohermo E.

Yelp
This little hidden gem of a market is located in the same shopping center as GROWN in South Miami. It's on US-1 just past 88th Street when you're traveling North Bound on US-1. Their bakery is phenomenal. They have so many different kinds of bread. The bread they bake in house is the bread used on their sandwiches. In the mood for a fresh house made sandwich prepped to order? Come to Joanna's Marketplace. They have such a huge selection of sandwiches. Looking for a meaty sandwich? Try their Cuban Cowboy. Let's talk about their truffle chips. You can buy these truffle chips that are to die for. Torres Truffle Chips are available at this marketplace. They sell things like honey, mustards, seasonings, beer, sodas and food by the pound. Lots of salads from potato to macaroni to coleslaws. Everything made in house. Plenty of parking up front available. Great customer service by all their employees. I wish they would sell flowers.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I have never heard of or been to Joanna's Marketplace until today. I was originally in the shopping center to go to a different restaurant, but after I saw the Yelp reviews I decided to give Joana's a try. Let's just say I'm thankful for Yelp in making my life choices easier... LOL this place is awesome! The smell of the fresh bread from the bakery and all of the yummy food is the first thing you notice when you walk through the doors. There are so many delicious options but I ended up going with the chicken avocado sand which (which is made fresh to order). The food was great and the staff was just as amazing! They were all very very nice and extremely helpful. This is definitely a hidden little gem I'm glad I found :)

Tyler R.

Yelp
THIEVES! I used to pick up food regularly from Joanna's before one of their employees stole $100 from me. A few weeks ago, I walked in to pick up 8 chicken fingers. While paying, the cashier said my card did not go through and asked if she could swipe it again. It "went through" the second time, and I asked for my receipt, but she apologized and said she was having trouble with the machine. I went home and had a $5 charge for my chicken fingers followed by a $105 charge which I guess she added as a tip. When I returned and explained the situation the staff was reluctant to help me. I stood at the counter for half an hour and waited as they checked security footage and transaction history. Finally, I was offered a refund for the money they realized had been stolen and a cold apology. They had no explanation for the situation. Unbiased opinion- good sandwiches, horrible staff, not worth the hassle.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
This place has something for everybody. We went in and had some awesome baked desserts. They got sweet food and salty good. You can also do some cool grocery shopping their. It's not the cheapest, but the quality is excellent. Go on and get you some good coffeee!!!

Abigail R.

Yelp
This review is only for the service at the deli. The rest of the staff is excellent as well as the food, cleanliness, and variety of products. I love coming here for the sandwiches but unfortunately the deli staff is very rude to the point where I felt scared asking them a question about my order. I have worked in service for years and in busy places so I understand their struggle to take out orders quickly but there's no excuse for the way they interact with customers. I have received better service at McDonalds. They were just hostile I did not felt welcome. Sucks because the food is soooooooooo good.

Paty D.

Yelp
Joanna's is South Miami's best kept secret! It makes some of the BEST sandwiches in Miami! Joanna's is a small version of a Fresh Market. They sell a large array of prepared foods, salads, baked goods, and wines/beers. For me, their sandwiches are near and dear to my heart. They have an amazing selection of hot or cold sandwiches made to order- none of the pre-made stuff sitting there lonely and sad. The Cuban cowboy is one of their best sellers and you'll know why once you taste it. They have thinly slices of tender steak coupled with sweet plantains and the combination will have you yee-hawing! The portions are large as well. Sandwiches come with a choice of fruit, chips or potato salad. Definitely swing by Joanna's and peruse the amazing variety of delectable goods up for grabs- and do yourself a favor and grab an expertly crafted sandwich!

Lauren K.

Yelp
Normally I love Joanna's sandwiches, but I ran in for a chicken salad on a croissant. The chicken salad was dry, but whatever I dealt. WHEN I WENT TO EAT THE MACARONI SALAD SIDE I ALMOST BARFED, it tasted like old refrigerator. I couldn't even finish the other half of my salad.

Spencer A.

Yelp
Best service of any food retailer in Miami. Delicious, fresh deli, deserts and breads. Opens at 7:00, 7 days a week. I had a fantastic fresh roasted turkey sandwich on freshly baked pumpernickel bread. A Bolyan's root beer, pickle and coleslaw. Yummy. Delicious coffee with my favorite cookie afterwards. A prune hamentashen. And it's not even Purim! Amazing place! Skip Publix, Subway or Whole Foods next time and give this local market a chance and the respect it deserves. Ask for Mike and don't forget the hamentashen.

Bianka B.

Yelp
Oh wow, just left this place that I have been coming to for years and years. It seems that closing time happens an hour before the actual closing time. I arrived at 4PM and ordered what I have always ordered. It was rushed and incomplete. I literally thought I had the wrong time. So I asked when was closing time, and I was told an hour from then. I voiced my concern and it was dismissed. I guess they don't need my business so I will not come back.

Luisa A.

Yelp
For the Deering Estate Valentine's dinner, I ordered their Valentine's dinner basket, and was disappointed that for a $100 dinner, the heart-shaped chocolate torte was quite literally, hard-hearted. We were given plastic forks and I couldn't cut through it no matter how I angled the fork. It was an uphill battle to eat it, and although the frosting and presentation were on point, the dessert was so difficult to cut through that we gave up. That said, the beef tenderloin we ordered was fantastic. So was the salad and the side of Moroccan couscous. The balsamic salad dressing was a bit too sweet for my taste. The wine was also very good, and the reason I give three stars is because for the price of the meal, everything should've gone smoothly, which with dessert it unfortunately didn't.

Carmen S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I live in South Miami and saying we are regulars here is an understatement, we visit at least once a week, we buy our bread here (which is for the most part BOGO after 6pm just FYI + their Tartine is the best bread you will ever have) and our birthday cakes. It's consistent and if you can't decide what you want they have so many options. It's the best place to go if you want to avoid the catastrophic "where do you want to eat? -whatever you want" spirals that end in arguments and silent meals (I know you know what I mean). It's also a great spot to pick up something for a party you're attending on the way over. The chicken strips in particular and cakes/cheesecakes are a hit wherever we take them. Coffee is great also!!! It's very much a local spot in that the staff is busy (they're doing a lot in the back while also working out front, they do catering) and may be friendly but direct but will definitely make you feel at home if you're a familiar face and you'll be so happy to see them too. The salads... the best. Dressings are made there and it shows, lemon tarragon in particular. I'm a vegetarian and the #13 at the sandwich counter does it for me like no other plus they never give me a hard time about modifications. They'll also let you sample anything pretty much. The vegetable bake is incredible, again for my veg friends out there. PS We love you Joanna's.

Yelp
The BEST marketplace in Miami. I have been going to this place for 8+ years every WEEKEND. Sometimes even twice a week! I make my own salads, choose from a bunch of yummy sandwiches and hot foods!! The chicken tenders are so good. They have coffee and pastries as well. Many delicious items and everyone is so nice!! Check this place out in Pinecrest, Miami!!
