18 Perfect Phoenix Restaurant Patios for Dining Alfresco

"Connect with Arizona’s farming roots by dining outdoors at this rehabbed ranch-style house, which was owner Joe Johnston’s former childhood home. One edge of the property still backs up to cultivated fields (now devoted to urban organic farming), but the old place has been transformed into a ’60s-era burger stand, bordered by a sprawling lawn, a towering shade tree, and picnic tables. Although Joe’s was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, there’s a fresh slant to its menu, which makes use of fruit, veggies, and herbs harvested from the Farm at Agritopia. Besides eight different burgers, choices include chicken and waffles, crispy Brussels sprouts, corn fritters, and an ahi tuna sandwich with wasabi mayo." - Mcconnell Quinn, Nikki Buchanan, jamiekillin, Rudri Patel

This is a great family spot, and we saw many other families with the same idea. We appreciated the kids menu options for our little one. The location is refreshingly lush, with grapevine lining the walkway to the entrance and orchard trees around the building. The menu is full of American comfort food with some emphasis on southwestern flavors. They make a nice burger with good ingredients and a variety of fun combinations. The fritters are delicious! Looking forward to trying more from the menu next time.

Google
Joe's Farm and Grill is a fantastic spot for fresh, made-from-scratch food. Their hand-breaded zucchini and onion rings are excellent—the onion rings, in particular, are some of the best I've had, with flavorful, well-seasoned breading. I ordered a burger with American cheese and grilled onions, paired with fried zucchini. My daughter had a burger with onion rings, and my husband went with a burger and fries. All the burgers were delicious, and the sides were outstanding. We also tried the apple fritters, which were perfectly moist. We arrived at 1 PM, and they had already sold out of the smoked ribs, so if you're hoping to try them, you might want to get there earlier. Overall, a great experience—highly recommend!

Google
Really great burgers! We were almost scared away by the long line, but it moves very quickly. Our food came quickly after we ordered too! Our favorites were the dark chocolate milkshake malt and the mini apple fritters! The burgers were fresh and filling. The garlic fries are a fun novelty but they're not as fun by the end lol. It's loud inside and hot outside, but the service is good!

Google
The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. And, the cheesecake slices are massive, and they make it there. We stumbled upon this place after going for a walk after eating at Buck and Riders, which is across the parking lot. My kids absolutely love this place. My daughter said her chicken tenders were so good she could cry 🤣. My son had the gouda burger and said it was amazing. The garlic fries are one of my favorite fries. On a separate note, the bathrooms they have that are accessible from outside are amazing. The old school cartoons from nick at night and cartoon network are awesome. My kids didn't want to leave. They wanted to check out every restroom first. The old GI joes and old Barbies are a great touch too.

Google
Line to order, but got served very quickly, even on busy Friday night. Pick 3 appetizer was phenomenal..onion rings, zucchini and sweet potatoe fries. Try the pineapple dip! Farm burger was large and juicy.. delicious..and filling! Grilled cheese was decent too. Its been years since we were here last, but will definitely come back more often! We ate inside, but plenty of bench seating outside.

This place has been a staple of ours, mainly going there on our birthdays – but we haven't eaten there that much outside of it. Last time I went, it was a mixed experience, but I gotta say this past time made up for it! I've always loved the outdoor seating and atmosphere. It really immerses you in the outside life. The food service we had was quick, efficient, and friendly – how it should be! The food was great, but the pricing was also excellent. I went with someone who had not been before and they loved it. The surrounding walks are also really nice! 9/10

Google
I discovered this place about one year ago. Great food. Cool atmosphere. Great service. Long line at times, but very worth it. Nice outdoor areas to sit and eat. My favorite is their ribs. $24.00 for a full rack. Other places charge that for only a half rack. Fall off the bones perfection. My only complaint: the last time I got ribs they were not very good. I don’t know why. But hey, no place is perfect. Things happen. Their cheesecakes are fantastic. Oh, if you go there on your birthday….$15.00 of your bill. How’s that for a birthday gift? Awesome.

Google
This place is amazing! I took my son here for a little bonding time, and I did not regret it. Everyone here, and I mean everyone, had a smile on their face and seemed grateful that we were there. This included the girl at the register, the awesome servers, and the customers! I ordered the BBQ Bacon Blue Burger, "with pink," and fries. The burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The veggie toppings that came with it were very fresh, and the fries were delicious. It seems minor, but fries can be a deal breaker for me. These were perfectly fried and salted. My only comment on this burger is that it needed more blue cheese. I couldn't really taste it as much as I would've liked. My son ordered the Gouda Garlic Bacon Burger with a slice of Ghost Pepper Jack cheese. I've never seen a human consume a burger faster. Lol! He absolutely loved it! Oh, I should mention that since this place has phenomenal ranch dressing, order some to dip your burger in. It completely sets it off. The atmosphere here created a very cool vibe. It was bright, comfortable, and offered outdoor picnic table seating. I would expect this from a "farm fresh" type restaurant, and they nailed it. In a nutshell, this is now my favorite place to get a burger. It blows away its competition. I will be going back to try their breakfast and other menu items. Next time you're hungry and have some time to spare, make a beeline to Joe's Farm Grill. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Excellent service for a hungry soccer team travelling from out of state. The Ahi Tuna sandwich was incredible.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday meal, since they serve you a complimentary meal under $15. The cashier was kind and quick, very professional for a casual place like Joe's Farm Grill. I ordered the farm chicken sandwich with a side of beet salad. The sandwich was amazing!! It wasn't too saucy or oily and was seasoned just right. The chicken was also quite juicy. Beet salad was such a treat, pairing nicely with blue cheese-if you love beets, you'll enjoy this! Overall, I had an amazing time here and happy to come back many more times.

Yelp
Joe's Farm Grill is one of my favorite local places to eat at and definitely someplace I bring out of towners too. It's a great place to get food, milkshakes and desserts and then walk around after! The long line might be a bit intimidating but I promise it goes faster than it looks. I recommend going on a week day if you don't want to wait that long or even ordering online! My favorite thing to get here is the Waffles + Ribs. Hear me out - the ribs on top of the waffles just makes the waffles even softer and so flavorful because of the bbq sauce. If you're in the mood for a more traditional breakfast you can't go wrong with the Joe's Big Breakfast - it's a lot of food!

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times over the years and overall, I think it's a great place if you have kids due to the space and backyard area too and kid friendly food. However, as someone who loves (a lives lol) for a good cheeseburger I think it's just basic in regards to taste. Perhaps I should venture to other menu items, so if my opinion changes in future once ai try more than a burger and fries here I'll come back and update this review. I also dislike the very long tedious line. But the restaurant is clean and gorgeous with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. The big beautiful trees are stunning! The staff is very warm and friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I also loved how they let me know the burgers are pink unless I order otherwise.

Yelp
Still my favorite place to visit in the "far east valley" when I want some good food & a change up. The service, atmosphere and the outdoor location shakes it up for from the norm and it feels like a mini vacation escape. Lunch time on the weekend will always have the line out the door but it will move fast (IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT... hint hint, that's why the menus' are available while in line). I was prompt and order the Chili Cheese Fries, 2 Farm Burgers, one with Gouda cheese & Asian Slaw as a side, the other with the ghost hot pepper jack & Caesar salad. Also had a full order of Baby Back Ribs with house salad and fruit (yeah, I was trying to balance it all with the fruit :-)). Unfortunately, I wanted to place an order for the Cookies, but was told they wouldn't be available until later in the day as the ovens were loaded with Cheesecakes. Chili Cheese fries were as expected. Ribs were good and sauced well. The hot pepper jack cheese was spicy as advertised but the feedback on both burgers were they needed some more seasoning on the patty. The staff was bringing out orders quickly and refilling drinks. Clearing the tables is a priority, but no matter how fast the staff moves, the birds always get to it with the quickness... Parking can be a challenge, but if you don't get lucky, use the Complimentary Valet.

Yelp
I've lived here my whole life and never tried this place until now. A few friends and I had the day off so we grabbed lunch here. We arrived around 11:30 and the parking lot was full! There was already a line out the door to order. Many tables both inside and out were taken but there were still plenty of open ones. We opted to sit inside. Our food came out pretty quick. Our orders: 1. Gouda Garlic Bacon Burger w/ a side salad, citrus vinaigrette & strawberry lemonade 2. BBQ Pork Sandwich w/ cole slaw & strawberry lemonade 3. Kids Chicken Tenders w/ fries 4. Waffles & Chicken + side of garlic fries Loved the strawberry lemonade! It's huge too. Side salad with the citrus vinaigrette was good and refreshing. My Gouda Garlic Burger was okayyyy. Meat quality seemed good. I don't eat bacon so I gave that to my friend. For a garlic burger, it wasn't garlicky enough. The gouda cheese wasn't melted at all. I asked if they had garlic aioli. They misheard and brought out garlic oil. The burger would taste so much better with garlic aioli! Also needed more onions too. The garlic fries were good though. My friend liked her pulled pork sandwich but said it needed more bbq sauce. She ended up asking for extra. My other friend said one of her waffles was a bit undercooked but they remade her another! Staff were all friendly. I would probably try the Flamin' Southwest Burger next time. Oh, they gave a pair of gloves with my burger. I actually loved that idea!

Yelp
What can't you say about Joes, it's been a place my family and I have done for years wether is family night, date night, girls night, casual lunch or even a business lunch it's the most family friendly, warm, And welcoming restaurant the staff is always so nice and is very accommodating for whatever you need I love the views agratopia gardens and the tree with the shade. Food NEVER disappoints and if you're feeling sweet grab a milkshake and they offer a lot of gluten free options since they have gf buns and my aunt is celiac so she never has tummy issues after they take that stuff seriously! Our burgers are 10/10 they're so nom nom nom

Yelp
The fried zucchini slices are delicious! Service was friendly and they checked on us multiple times. We came for dinner and waited in line to order and then easily found a seat inside. I ordered the blackberry lemonade which was good. The burger and the pizza were fine, zucchini was the standout. The vegetables of the day were from the farm. Lots of seating inside and outside too.

Yelp
Joe's Farm Grill never disappoints! This time, I had the veggie burger with the beet salad, and both were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the Sonoran dog with the pickle fries, and he couldn't stop raving about how perfectly cooked and seasoned everything was. We've been here a handful of times, and the food is always top-notch, fresh, and full of quality ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The restaurant itself is such a gem - charming decor, a great vibe, and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors to suit any mood. We love sitting outside under the shade and enjoying the peaceful, scenic setting. If you're looking for consistently delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and great service, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I love this place for casual dining. Order at the counter, receive a number and they serve you at your table. The atmosphere is a little funky and has tons of natural light. There's a massive outdoor eating area. The bathrooms are a must to check out (I won't give away why). As for the food...delicious! I had the Gouda Garlic Bacon Burger with fries as my choice of side. It was served with plastic gloves to use since the burger is so juicy. Kitschy, but a smart marketing idea, in my opinion! The burger is chargrilled and the bun is deliciously toasted. The fries were good, and plenty for me, but I'm sure others would say the portion was too small. Definitely a wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend!

Yelp
Atmosphere - When we arrived, there was a long line of people there. Luckily it only reached to the door and not outside of it. While there, a lot more people arrived. There was a good amount of tables and chairs in the restaurant. There were some trees obscuring the restaurant from the street. I didn't visit the restroom. Temperature inside was good. Not hot or cold. I have been to some places where it's been hot. Patio. Too hot for me to sit there on the patio, so luckily got a space inside. Except, there was an incredibly loud baby at the table next to us that shrieked at intermittent moments in time. Food - I got the hamburger. It came with lettuce and tomato and onion on the side. One leaf or slice, each. Thin slice of pickle too. The hamburger was definitely charred and fire grilled. The middle was pink. The pulled pork sandwich was a bit dry. You can ask for extra sauce on the side! I would recommend getting two serving of extra sauce. The Asian slaw was a little tart, but good in how crunchy, refreshing, and healthy it was. Service - There were lots of employees. The service here was fine. We found our own seats and sat down. Ordering went well and the food came out a little slow due to so many people. After you order, they give you one of those electronic coasters to put on your table. They bring out your food and drinks. You refill your drink after the first cup. They have take out containers on the soda machine counter. Parking - The restaurant was located inside of basically its own parking lot. Was crowded during peak hours. No parking meters or parking structures. A parking structure with solar panels on top or trees would be nice. Otherwise, no shaded spots available. Same as most places. Future - Pretty far, but if you like flame grilled food that is smoky flavored, you will love this place.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! I come here for breakfast at least once a month and it''s a 20 minute drive. I like to eat heathy so I'm partial to the vegetable omelette. The vegetables are local and you can taste the difference. Honestly everything is good and the biscuits are the best in the valley. I would love for someone to tell me where they are better! What really helps me give this place 5 stars is the overall food quality. It isn't just breakfast. Do yourself a favor and try the ahi sandwich! It's amazing and it's worth going out of your way to get it. The burgers are great and the BBQ too. The huge patio and surrounding area make this a fun place to explore. Go check it out! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I enjoy each and every time I eat at Joe's Farm and Grill. Pretty much everything I've tried has been delicious, with the exception of their chili dog, I did not enjoy that whatsoever. I highly recommend getting: Pancakes Sausage links Good morning Joe Breakfast sandwich Side biscuit Flamin Southwest Burger Stuffed Lamb Burger Lemonade (regular and/or Strawberry) Dark Chocolate Milkshake I have had all of the above and every item listed is absolutely delicious. I will be back hopefully soon to try the new menu items.

Yelp
I love this place so much because of the quality of the food as well as the service provided. Annalise is so kind and greets me with a smile every time she sees me on a new date with someone. I love how she always comes up to the table and smiles extra big just to make sure it's going well. We live for the support . The workers are lovely and the outdoor seating is perfect for this time of the year (it's currently 55-75 as of currently). Thank you for being my place of enjoyment for these dates and also for my birthday. My go to always is the stuffed lamb burger with sweet potato fries but please do try the Greek fries those are mmmmm. They have a breakfast until 11 am but sadly I never make it but if you do Please please PLEASE get the Huevos de Farm Grill. I have no others words besides I love it.

Yelp
Good friends introduced us the Joe's Farm Grill a year ago. This turned into a pleasant surprise. As it turned out there is allot of actual Farm History at this location. The Restaurant resides on the remaining portion of the original Farm. Let get to atmosphere. The dining area is casual and a fusion of improvements and period architecture. The food is ordered from an organized line to the register and menu. We choose a signature Burger and Garlic Fries . The counter staff was helpful and our visit was pleasant due to low ambient noise which allowed great dinner conversations. There are other items in the menu to choose however I typically look for Craft Burgers to measure against others . Enjoy the Farming History and great food and conversation atmosphere! $$/$$$

Yelp
Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Gilbert! It's one of our go to spots and one of the first places we bring visitors from out of town. It's the best! Their menu is great. It has a great variety of things depending what you're in the mood for. They even have the items that Guy Fieri tried on Triple D! Everything is made fresh here and you can definitely tell. Highly recommend their Waffles & Chicken, Chicken Caesar Salad, and my favorite the Flamin' Southwest Chicken sandwich. Absolutely upgrade to either the garlic or sweet potato fries - they're both amazing! If you're still hungry or just coming for dessert, you gotta try one of their milkshakes! Grab a seat outside and enjoy a beautiful evening with great food and service from the staff. Parking can be a little tricky to find during busy times and don't be surprised if the line goes all the way out the door. It's worth the wait! The inside isn't overly large but they have a very big and recently remodeled outside seating area which is awesome - and great to let kids run around safely! Plus, come on your birthday and get a free entree (ID required)!

Yelp
Joe's Farm Grill is one of my favorite places to go to in Gilbert. The food always tastes fresh and service is pretty quick. It is a less formal place to dine, as you order at the counter and then pick a spot to sit. When the weather is nice, I highly recommend trying to get a spot outside. I love to order the Ahi Tuna Sandwhich for myself and the greek fries for the table. The food is rich in flavors and I always receive great service when I dine. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I never thought I would be writing this review after eight years of recommending this restaurant to all my friends and family. Unfortunately, the quality has significantly declined. This review follows three consecutive disappointing visits. For the past eight years, we've consistently ordered the Gouda and Farm burgers with garlic fries, so we can confidently say when something has changed. First off, the Gouda patties are no longer served pink--they're always well done. On our last visit, not only were all our patties well done, but they were also burnt. The kitchen was willing to remake them, but again, they came out burnt and well done. For the first time ever, I left the restaurant with an unfinished plate of burger and fries. Additionally, our ribs were unevenly cooked. While the meat fell off the bone and the bottom side was caramelized, the top side was burnt. Our garlic fries barely had any garlic sauce on them. Paying an extra $3 for bare fries with a sprinkle of garlic is a scam. We've had garlic fries here for years and know what they're supposed to be like. It's sad to see the line empty from 7-8 pm on a Saturday night, a stark contrast to the long waits we were accustomed to. This decline in quality is disheartening and reflective of the changes in the food. We will not be dining at Joe's Farm Grill anymore.

Yelp
Great environment, casual, plenty of outdoor seating. Great for a big group meet up. Order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. Plenty of food choices to pick from. But we were so so on our food choices. We got the Gouda burger, what was suggested as their known burger shown on tv. It was okay. Not the best burger I had this weekend. It was super messy so they do give you some gloves which is very nice to have. The side fruit was not very fresh nor sweet. Should have stuck with a salad. Got a pick 3 platter: fried zucchini, garlic fries, and fried onions. This was good. My fav was the garlic fries. My hub loves the zucchini. Got the peach mango strawberry shake, it was just okay. It had frozen pieces of strawberries and was on the icy and foamy milky side. Less shake more smoothie consistency. We Did not taste the mango though. Next time I'll just stick to classic chocolate shake. I'm not sure if I would come here again, but with a group I don't mind.

Yelp
Oh man, how this place has gone down hill. Let's start with the price, two of us, two burgers, one with regular fries and one with zucchini slices and fountain drink. With a 22% tip it was about $60!!! $60 for subpar food and subpar service. Holy moly. I was looking forward to the Ahi Burger which I always get ( last two times was definitely a let down), my tuna wasn't smooth and "fresh" like it once was. I'm pretty sure I had a piece of ahi steak missing too. My Ahi burger this time, the cole slaw was browning and lacked flavored, my Ahi fish itself was very stringy and fibrous in texture and wasnt "rare" then my bun seemed stale, and no it wasn't toasted dryness, it was stale. I will say the zucchini slices were crispy and yummy though. Now onto my boyfriend's burger. It was a super simple burger but it came out dry af with a stale bun as well. Only good part was the burger atleast had the char. He said "this was a waste of a date night. Esp since we haven't had time for one in a while." Honestly, I couldn't agree with him more... Such a disappointment. But we did take whatever was left overs for my chickens

Yelp
Reviewing: Joe's Farm Grill Rating: 4 out of 5 Address: 3000 Ray Rd (Gilbert, AZ) Hours: Everyday 7:30am-9pm People eating: 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Atmosphere: Absolutely stunning outside. LOTS of seating outside for when it's nice out. They even have super misters too for when it's out of you choose to eat outside. Very bright and inviting for sure! Staff: Very friendly. Got checked on a couple times. Food: You order your food first before you sit down. I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and ranch, and a butter pecan milkshake. It was absolutely delicious. No complaints whatsoever! My friend ordered the BBQ bacon blue burger with sweet potato fries and a water. She loved it and had no complaints. Now the kids, I ordered the kids cheeseburger with French fries and the burger tasted burnt and the kids wouldn't even touch it and they LOVE cheeseburgers. It wasn't good at all sadly. (no I didn't complain to the staff). Kids ate the fries and their drinks. My bill before tip (with kids): $44.21 My friends bill before tip: $21.56

Yelp
This is a charming little spot with yummy food. Pros: - Super bright and cheerful place with a great outdoor area (they have misters so it's nice even in the summer!) - Eclectic menu that's done well. The kind of place you can go with adventurous and picky eaters and find something they'd both enjoy. - Yummy meat - Cute little community garden across the street! - $15 off on your birthday if you show your ID! Cons: - It's a popular spot so line can get a little long on evenings/weekends
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great experience at Joe's Farm Grill - food was so fresh, and the outside seating was a great option. The staff was very friendly as well. The strawberry lemonade was one of the best I've ever had!

Yelp
Free birthday meal on your birthday with proof of ID! My favorite spot to grab a milkshake! Service is counter-style, ordering at a register to then be served via a number system. Staff does bring silverware and drinks directly to your table once you have decided where to sit. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Beautiful updated patio with additional picnic table style seating, sun shades and string patio lights. Easy to access location, accessible parking available. Additional parking located in the back in a gravel lot.

Yelp
I love this place! I would recommend going for breakfast (although they have good lunch and dinner options too). I had the Kid's meal with potatoes on the side and let me tell you, the potatoes are SO GOOD! I would also recommend the strawberry lemonade which was delicious. The food came out super quickly, although it wasn't too busy when I was there. The staff was very friendly. The vibe is so cute! I'd definitely go if you're looking for a new fun place to eat out!

Yelp
Long, about 50 min line for the lunch rush that was out the door, but food came out really quickly. Service was super friendly, clean creative bathrooms and atmosphere. Good breakfast and sandwiches, something for everyone.

Yelp
Love love Love the atmosphere here. I have been here countless times and used to meet with some friends every third Saturday of each month. I prefer sitting outside under the trees with the chairs provided as the inside can be a bit noisy. Plus, it has the feel as if you are on a picnic. The employees have always been friendly and attentive. Last time I was here with a girlfriend who brought her dog, and they brought a bowl of water out for him and asked if he could have a treat. My absolute favorite is the garlic fries are a must along with their milkshakes. Oh, and their coffee is great as well!!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Above average service with average food. Let me start off by saying this is a perfect spot for families, groups, and or picky eaters because of the variety. All of the food came out looking and tasting great! Heads up for newcomers, you will order at the counter, pick a seat, and then staff will bring out the food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. After ordering and while waiting for the food we were looking at the desserts and they informed us that we could tell them what we wanted, so we wouldn't have to go back up to the line. That was really nice of them. However, we visited on a Thursday night when it wasn't too busy so I'm not sure if this is a standard practice on the weekend/busier nights. Another tip: look for the red dots on the menu, we failed to see this till after ordering. The red dots menu items, such as garlic fries, onion rings, fontina burger, and more have been featured on Food Network. If you ask me, I think that's pretty cool!
google avatar

Yelp
If you've never been to Joe's Farm Grill, here's the rundown. go ahead and grab a menu and get in line. It will take most people that much time to think about what they want to order. if you have more than one person in your party, make sure you send someone as a lookout so they can grab a table inside. Outside tables do have misters inside tables get more attention from the servers. When you get to the front of the line, please make sure you have your order ready because as you can see there is a very long line behind you.
google avatar

Kathrin J.

Yelp
Always busy here- for a reason. Simple dishes made fresh and right. Everything we had was good. Love me a good fried pickle and these were 10/10. It's my second time here and service is on point. The large outside seating area under the trees is worth mentioning.
google avatar

Donn O.

Yelp
Stopped by for a family get together on a Thursday night. 100+ degrees in Phoenix and there was still comfortable seating outside. There was small line but it moved quickly. The order process was a little rushed and we had a few issues with accuracy. We ordered one of the sandwiches lettuce wrapped which was served with a bun. We asked for one of the sandwiches with arugula and mustard and both were left off. All and all the orders came quickly and the food was tasty overall. I would return.

Yelp
I am in LOVE with this adorable place!! I felt like I left Arizona and was visiting somewhere else with all the trees, shade, and general plant life surrounding the area. There is plenty of outdoor seating (picnic tables) under shade with misters. This seemed popular with families of children, so that they could easily run around. There were even some mini picnic tables for kids! Inside, you order at the counter and then receive a buzzer. Once you pick your table, a server comes by to bring whatever drinks you ordered and drop off your food. Their service is INSANELY quick and the food was so flavorful and used local and organic ingredients, which I loved! The biscuit that came with the omelet was sooo yummy, I could have eaten a plate of them! The bathrooms are outside and are super unique with vintage Barbies and The Jetsons playing on a TV, which was fun!

Yelp
Their motto should be "common food done uncommonly poorly" Went here for the first time and was severely underwhelmed. We went in as a party of 5 and there was no indoor seating to accommodate our party size. Every table and booth were made for parties of 1-4. I ordered the farm burger and it was dryer than dust. It was nothing more than an overcooked basic burger. For $15 you can go to any other restaurant for something better. At the bottom of an order of garlic fries, there was a pool of grease that was soaked into a good portion of fries. It ended up being inedible. The service was also subpar. We stood in line to put in our order with the cashier and were told that we would have servers bring us food and check-in on us. So at the register we left a tip. In hindsight this was mistake because leaving a tip before the service is provide is a gamble and in this case we lost. No refills on water, didn't take finished plates to make room for desert. Definitely service not worth 15% of our total bill. Overall, it's a gimmicky place given it's part of a farm. Low quality food and low quality service. Don't waste your time or money here. Go to one of the other dozens of restaurants in the area.

Yelp
If you're in Gilbert and looking for a place that serves fresh, delicious food with a unique farm-to-table concept, Joe's Farm Grill is a must-visit. The menu offers a variety of classic American dishes with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients--everything from burgers to salads and breakfast. The food is always flavorful, and you can truly taste the quality in each bite. Despite the popularity of the place, long lines are not an issue. The line may look intimidating, but it moves quickly because you place your order and pay at the same time. This efficiency keeps things moving, ensuring you don't spend more time waiting than necessary. Even on busy days, you'll have your food in no time. The interior is charming--modern, yet with a nostalgic vibe that complements the outdoor farm setting. It's cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Whether you choose to sit indoors or outside under the shade of the farm's trees, the ambiance makes the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, Joe's Farm Grill offers great food and a laid-back atmosphere, with a well-managed system that keeps the crowd moving without compromising the quality of your experience. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop!

Yelp
Was in town visiting friends and we decided to walk from their house to this cute local breakfast spot. It was pretty poppin for a Saturday morning, but nothing too crazy! When you walk up, it's so dang cute. They have an outdoor picnic type of area and inside seating, too. It was a beautiful day, so we opted for outdoor. You wait in line to have them take your order, but they do have menus you can grab so you can figure out what you want. I decided on some breakfast tacos, because they sounded delicious. They have the standard coffee, but I needed my bougie coffee haha, so I just ordered some from a coffee shop a couple steps away! This is definitely your typical diner type of spot. They gave us our number and brought our food out pretty quickly. The breakfast tacos were so dang good. I wish I had more of an appetite in the morning, but I ate two of them and my husband had the third haha. They had delicious potatoes in them, too, and I got the sausage ones. They come with a side and I got fruit, which was super fresh. Literally, the cutest little spot. I wish we had something like this in Vegas. Across the street was this adorable community farm garden spot, and we ventured there after. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again when we visit our friends again!

Yelp
I recently tried their Pork Tenderloin Sandwich + 1 side. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. The Pork Tenderloin Sandwich itself was good. However, there was a minor issue: too many onions. While some people might enjoy the extra onion flavor, I found it a bit overpowering. Unfortunately, the sandwich lacked the promised pickles mentioned on the menu. It would have been nice to have that tangy contrast. I opted for the fried zucchini as my side (additional cost), and it did not disappoint. Crispy, well-seasoned, and a great complement to the sandwich. Here's the cherry on top: If you visit on your birthday, they generously offer a $15 discount on your meal. That's a thoughtful gesture and adds to the overall positive experience.

Yelp
We had a giftcard to Joe's Farm Grill and decided to give them a try. Evidently, this is a poppin spot because the line was wrapped around the corner. It took us about 30mins to get our order in. They also only had one cashier opened during our visit. I definitely commend all of the staff (chefs, bussers, and cashier). The line was relentless and they were on top of the traffic. Once we ordered, our food was at the table within 10mins. However, the cookies I ordered took an additional 20mins to come out. The reason I am giving this restaurant 3 stars is because of the bee infestation around the patio area. We had to drive all the way back to Tempe to enjoy out food, which sucked. Our food needed to be reheated, which is the reason i'm leaving this rating. The shrimps were HUGE, and the cocktail sauce was fantastic. The portions are very large, almost shareable. I also really enjoyed the spicy kick in the Asian slaw. My fiance said his farm burger was just ok. Had we eaten our food at the restaurant and they had the bee situation under control, we may have had a 5 star experience.

Yelp
As seen on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives...or so I've been told. I've never seen it on triple D. But I will say this place has fantastic food. I tried the lamb burger stuffed with goat cheese, which was amazing. I ventured beyond the typical fries and tried the spicy pickle fries. They were good...but not spicy and accompanied by tzatziki sauce which was nice. Ok the bad news...but not really. This place is hopping and you need to wait in line to order. The line moves well. But I wish they would allow you to fill your own drink. It was a bit of a wait for our food and the drinks came last. Not a deal breaker but something to consider. Definitely a great place to bring the family and sit outside on a nice spring Arizona day!

Yelp
Stopped by on a nice Sunday morning for some breakfast and was satisfied with our experience! The line was really long and took quite a while to get through, but there was a manager that walked by and checked in to make sure nobody had any questions. The vibe is kind of like an upscale cafeteria diner, which was bright and airy. Nice outdoor seating too. The food was pretty good, nothing too special, but the value was incredible. The big breakfast fed two of us for $16 (we added on the berries for our waffles for $2 and a side of eggs for $4 bringing our total to $22). Definitely good sized portions, great for sharing or splitting with a friend or family.

Yelp
This is the first time coming to this restaurant after just getting a procedure in the hospital done and I didn't eat all day yesterday and I had a breakfast and it was great. The service was awesome and in 6 years that I've been in Arizona. I haven't had a good breakfast at a restaurant at all. Everybody was friendly even the customers were friendly, but that's because there's a good ambience in there already. I want to try their lunch. I'm from Philly so I wanna try their cheeseburgers and I heard down the street they also have pizza so that's going to interest me. So I just wanna give it double thumbs up.

Yelp
Walking into this place the vibes are amazing. The decor is homey and modern and despite the small size inside, the exterior is insanely huge and welcoming. I knew immediately the place had to be good based on the seemingly unending line when we walked in. Half of our party went to try to grab tables and the other half stood in line. We were lucky and got two booths but I could see seating being an issue when it's hot. In the winter there is so much seating outside I bet it's a little more calm. The line moved fast and the customer service of the lady behind the register was excellent! She was friendly and was willing to make suggestions since it was our first time. Other than a little hiccup with our kiddos food taking forever and then being wrong, the customer service was too notch. The food is so good. Farm to table can be hit or miss because sometimes the ingredients are fresh but very plain - not here! Everything was fresh, the flavors were amazing, and extra bonus points for the garlic fries. We will definitely be coming back to try more goodies, especially the famous chocolate chip cookies!

Yelp
I've been hearing great things about this place from friends for years now and just recently had the chance to stop by and try it out! Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch with some friends, we ordered two farm burgers with garlic fries (with extra garlic sauce on the side) and a stuffed lamb burger with regular fries. My friends who had the farm burgers said the patty was cooked to perfection and was not salty at all. The garlic fries were delicious, not overcooked, or soggy, the right amount of crisp with a generous load of garlic. The lamb burger was better than I expected, the combination of flavors of the lamb patty, grilled onions, tomatoes, pickles, and ranch worked really well together. However, I did not care for the goat cheese, and would ask to leave it out next time. We all agreed that our respective burgers were juicy and not dry at all. Overall, service was friendly and efficient. The establishment itself is quite spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. Casual ambiance, great for a meal by yourself or with some family and friends. The prices may put some people off from trying this place out but to me, it's well worth for the quality of the ingredients and portion size you are receiving.

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner last night. Usually have a enjoyable experience at Joe's but for some reason I was not overly impressed this time. The restaurant was clean. A little bit of a way to order but they're always is at Joe's. They're ordering process is just a little bit time-consuming. If you haven't been to Joe's, you order at a window and pay and then they bring your food out to you. Now I really don't like leaving a tip before I get my meal because I usually leave a tip based on what kind of service I get. But I did leave a tip at the register. Our waiter was nice enough but really didn't pay very much attention to our table. We ended up having to put empty plates on the table beside us because nobody bussed our table. He did not come over one time to see if I needed a refill on the soda that I bought. I'm a little upset that I gave a tip. The food was good as usual. I did order the pepperoni pan pizza. I think $15 might be a little steep for two 5-in square pieces of pizza. It was a little messy to eat I had to use a fork for one of the pieces because the crust was falling apart. I think Joe should probably stay away from pizza in the future and stick to barbecue which is what he is really good at. The burger and the pulled pork sandwiches that the other people got were good. The onion rings were good also. We did get the cheesecake which was outstanding. All in all I'm not sure I would really hurry back to Joe's for a meal.

Yelp
You order at the counter and the line is long... but then the service kicks in. They take really good care of you and the food is everything they say it is! Beautiful area outdoors to enjoy your meal as well!

Yelp
Amazing!! What an awesome place! I absolutely love nothing more than being able to enjoy my food outside under the canopy of some trees and this was exactly what I got!! Love the set up and vibe. You order from the counter and they bring your food out to you. I got the Farm Burger with fries and it was fantastic. My friend ordered the corn fritters for the table and they were soooo good. Not sure what I was expecting, but they were sweet and had some sort of honey dipping sauce. They came out hot. I would definitely try them if I were you!! My friends both got the bbq pork sandwich that looked and smelled amazing as well. They both enjoyed it! OH!!! And splurge for the garlic fries. You won't be disapponted. They also have a breakfast menu that looked great! I will absolutely come back to try their breakfast.

Yelp
Joe's is a new find for us and we will be returning! The portions are big, the service is great, and the vibes are just right. We visited yesterday afternoon for an early dinner. It's a very casual place. You order at the front, they give you a number, and bring you the food. To me, it felt like the whole place could use a deep clean, but I might just be picky about that. When we sat at the booth of our choice, a young man came over and greeted us, ensuring that he would help us with anything we needed. He was friendly and very attentive. My fiance and I split an appetizer and a burger and still had leftovers. The burger patty was thick! They do not skimp. We got the BBQ Blue Burger (without the blue cheese). It was yummy! We upgraded our regular fries to garlic fries and those were great too! I wanted to try the onion rings and the fried zucchini so we got the Try 3 appetizer. The onion rings and zucchini were freshly homemade with dill-seasoned batter. They served it with a chutney of some kind which added interest. The sweet potato fries were mid. I liked the surrounding view of the farm. I want to bring my parents here when they come to visit Arizona. I have also driven past this place on a Friday or Saturday night and the place was busy with little kids running around outside. It's very family friendly and looked like a blast for the kiddos. Good vibes.

Yelp
This place has amazing food. It's one of my favorite restaurants to dine. Farm to table goodness. I dined here for my birthday. If you come in on your birthday showing an valid ID you will get discounted meal. I got the breakfast burger and potatoes. Soooo delicious. The burger was fresh and cooked perfectly. The potatoes smelled so good. Both tasted amazing. The team works well together to make sure the dining experience is comfortable. They are renovating the patio to make it more comfortable for outdoor dining in the summer and winter. I can't wait for that to be completed. It's really nice to dine outside here and when the renovation is done I know it's going to be an even better outdoor experience.
