I love this pizzeria because the dough always feels very soft and fresh and you can just tell that they use high quality mozzarella cheese for the pizza, the mozzarella sticks were very stretchy and delicious. The staff is just lovely, the girl working the register is very sweet and always smiling. The guy who make pizza are very courteous and kind, allowed my picky kid to get his way, which almost never happens. Thank you.

If you're in the area and want some amazing food, don't think twice and stop here. The new seating area is very elegant and the food is just absolutely delicious. I will say I liked the Sicilian pizza more the the regular slice but that's my opinion. The service was also really superb, very friendly. Everytime I come to New York from Florida it's a must stop.

Hands down one of the best pizza places in NYC. The vodka sauce pizza and the grandma are delicious. I think this places is very close in quality to L’Industry (if not better maybe). The place is amazing. You can eat your pizza inside and there is space and nice seating. The staff is super friendly and are open to give you recommendations. This is definitely a 5 stars pizza place.

Got vodka and mushroom square pizza. Vodka was too cheesy and barely tasted like vodka sauce. Not impressed with that slice. However, the mushroom and carmelized onions pizza was enjoyable. 7/10 will return to try a pie rather than slices. Service was excellent and staff are nice.

My firm in the Empire State Building absolutely loves the food from Joe & John’s for our weekly lunches. My employees are especially impressed by the variety of options they offer. The chicken frances, penne allá vodka, and shrimp scampi are some of their favorites. This is the second time we order from them, the delivery is always seamless, and they’re generous with their portions. I would recommend them for any office catering needs!

I ordered directly to the restaurant and I specifically said that I need the driver to come up because I have a baby with me. The driver called and argued with me stating that he couldn't come up because he had other deliveries to drop off. The shrimp scampi was scattered all over and the aluminum plate was crushed, and the house salad was completely destroyed. I called to see if i could get a new salad but they refused to send one. I end up throwing the salad out, it looked so gross.

Top notch!!!! I'm super happy to know how the pizzeria has grown and mastered their menu to bring our community fresh and delicious food. The prices, pizza(my fav Hawaiian), salads (house salda with extra pepperonccini) and sandwiches(Italian of course) are fantastic. High quality ingredients, friendly service, they keep the restaurant clean and organized. Once again thank you for your services, for caring about the residents and maintaining a level of humbleness. They started small, now they have expanded beautifully. I'm proud of you guys, the new employees are amazing too. Keep up the great service.

This is a best in class local chain! Everything on their menu is high-quality, and the service is friendly and efficient. The chicken Caesar salad pizza and mushroom + caramelized onion pizza (pictured here) are my favorites. Highly recommended!

The absolute best Pizza in queens- The specialty slices are amazing! My favorite is the buffalo chicken slice. Excellent !!

We decided to enjoy the nice weather yesterday and take a ride to Ridgewood. We started out at Joe and John's Pizza on Myrtle. The place was hopping, a constant flow of people with a lovely welcoming staff. The counter was loaded with a wide variety of pizzas. We opted for 2 square slices, cacio e pepe and caramelized onion with mushrooms plus a regular slice. The cacio e pepe was a surprising delight, unique and delicious. The onion and mushroom was excellent and the regular slice was nice and thin with a great fresh flavor. I was super impressed with the pizza it was all excellent without being overly salty. They are even in the process of expanding into next store to open more of a sit down cafe. I can't t wait to go back and try more items.

Did a drive-by on Saturday after dreaming of eating pizza the night before. Everything looked so delicious but I settled on three slices, two Sicilian and one regular. I asked to have all sliced in half so I could share them with my bestie. The first slice was a Sicilian mushroom and onion slice. The flavors were good, but sort of muted by the overabundance of sautéed onions which also made the sliced kind of greasy. The second slice was also Sicilian with a vodka sauce. Bestie and I enjoyed this one a lot. She informed me that she usually does not enjoy vodka sauce, but this was a good one. Lastly, I indulged in the regular slice, which was authentic, New York pizza and brought back memories from my childhood. It's hard to find a slice that makes me feel like that. Overall, I would return and sample other pizzas, as well as the pastas and that delicious looking chicken vodka Parm sandwich that was on display. The pizzeria is pretty large and open. The staff all had great vibes and I was happy to see that I can order on Uber Eats.

I know this place is good but the Italian hero was not really how I pictured it to be. The ingredients say fresh mozzarella but it looks like deli sliced boars head to me... I also didn't ask for it to be toasted and my sandwich came hot. Kinda disappointed. I guess I would've been better off going in person and placing the order to make sure it was going to be made how it was written in the description.

I'm very disappointed. This is my one of my favorite pizzerias too. My sister ordered a couple of slices of pizza and mine was a pepperoni slice. It looked like it was made in a rush, the pepperoni was different and there was an extra layer of cheese on top like a lasagna or Sicilian slice. It did not taste good at all, I took a couple of bites and sadly had to throw it away : (

It's an amazing pizza shop. I would compare it to raising a new born, it is what it is. No matter what, they are there for you. Consistency is key. Joe & John's Pizzeria is that. Their delivery drivers are also top notch. They know the neighborhood is a good spot. Great service.

I've been a few times with my partner and it is always good! We try something new every time and have yet to find something we don't like. The people there are nice, quick, and helpful. The place is nice and showcase local art which is amazing! They have indoor and outdoor seating as well, it's a great spot to come for a quick slice to go or sit down and enjoy a meal.

I never pay for parking because you can sit outside or inside and still have a view of your car on the ave or side street.

It's been a few years since my last review of Joe & John's and I'm back to update all of you and let you know that...this place is still the best pizzeria in the neighborhood. The clams oregenata, chicken alfredo, pizza slices, and beef patties are still our go-to. However, for the Super Bowl, we placed an order for their buffalo wings and a few pies. These wings were SO GOOD. I'm talking better than WingStop (and yes, we also had WingStop that day to compare). They were incredibly flavorful and a good balance of sauce. I can't wait to have these wings again! We also recently tried the porchetta sandwich with broccoli rabe. It was really delicious. The staff is really friendly and they always have a local game (baseball, basketball, hockey, US Open, etc) playing on the televisions. It seems like they're also working on something next door. I'm excited to see what that is.

I ordered from this place tonight and I got ice cold pizza that was prob sitting around and a greasy vodka slice that is hard and a burnt ass pepperoni roll. I never had issues before then I call to let them know and this girl answers the phone and says there is nothing I can do but what would you like me to do? Ummm ma'am I work hard for what I have in my bank account and to pay 50$ for this crap is really aggravating me.

I love their garlic knots! I'm a massive fan of garlic, so these are perfect. If you don't like garlic, I would order them and take some of the garlic off. The Caesar slice was delicious! I do wish there was more dressing on it; either way, it was great; this was my first time trying this slice for a while; I thought the warm lettuce would be weird, but for some reason, it wasn't lastly, the pizza, we ordered half pepperoni/ cheese half bacon/pepperoni. 10000/10! Crispy bacon! Not weird bacon bits! It is the most excellent service I have ever bought. I ordered with Uber Eats this time. I have been to this place in person. It also has a more prominent location, following its original location. It's so cute now.

Stopped in the other day and had a few slices, 2 cheese and 2 peperoni. Very good and will stop by again, its what I expected from a NY pizza. Right on guys well done.

I just ordered the penne alla vodka, pepperoni slice, and greek salad and it was delicious. The pasta and pizza were hot and the salad was not (a lot of pizza places deliver it sitting on the hot pizza box). In fact, it was probably the best Greek salad I've ordered from a pizza place. Vegetables were actually cut small/thin not huge chunks, olives had pits removed, and lettuce wasn't soggy. I was very happy and impressed by their service, even their delivery guy handled with care. I appreciate that!!

The food here is good but not great I find that it's a bit salty for my taste buds so I do not come here as often as I would love. the staff are kind and welcoming! Always busy which is good so you know the food is always fresh! lol they just moved and it is so much spacious and modern love it!

I've been going here for a long time and it has some of the best take out there is in Queens. The workers are very nice and overall the place is a great establishment. My favorite foods there are the margarita slices and mozzarella sticks.

Our go to in the neighborhood generally. They are pretty consistent with their pizza wether it is by the slice or the whole pie and their supplemental food is pretty good too!

I'd rate Joe and John's three and a half stars. We shared a regular slice and a square pepperoni slice. Crust was pretty soft on both of them. Heavy on the sauce. Nice allocation of cheese. Pepperonis curled up nicely and had a good crisp to them. Service was quick and friendly.

Best slices in the boroughs. PERIOD. Pastas, sandwiches, and salads are also top notch. A real classic slice shop with classic charm.

Best pizza just 3 minute walk just to get there and the workers are nice and they take about like few minutes to heat the pizza and it's the best 5/5

What can I say about Joe's and John's? They are the best Italian restaurant in Queens. I've been to too many fancy restaurants athe authentic Italian cuisine is at Joe's and John's. They have newly renovated and the atmosphere is A plus. The wide variety of pizza, sandwiches are delicious. The main dishes are all superb. The owners are always present to make sure your dining experience is excellent. When I crave Italian food it's always Joe's and John's.

I found this spot by accident. We were literally eating Thai Food about a block away & this pizzeria caught our eye. It had NYCs favorite turtles painted outside. So, we had to check them out! Even though we just had Thai food! Decor: Outside is totally awesome. Interior not as awesome but clean & you get the typical pizzeria vibes. Nice and clean. Staff: super polite. Smiling. Greets you as you wait. Food: Pizzas looked amazing. Sadly, one that I saw from a photo was finished & it was near closing so - I'll be back for it! We had a pepperoni square, vodka slice, and sausage and rabe. They were all super yummy. The vodka sauce was delicious! The pepperoni square was great. Loved the crunch on the pepperoni. The sausage slice was good but the rabe was bitter. Not their fault. Price: standard pizza joint prices We definitely will be back to try their other slices. Parking is rough around here.

Giving the plain cheese slice a very solid rating. It's really really good. Sauce is perfectly salted. Has plenty of flavor. Thin crusted. Pepperoni square was pretty good too. Really good pepperoni. Dough/ sauce combo begins to taste slightly different than the regular plain slice. Square sausage broccoli rabe and spinach slice was reeeeeally good - for someone who appreciates eating their veggies. There's definitely some garlic chunks on there making this even more delicious, TO ME! Garlic knots- teeny tiny bite size. blah. Pass. Fried ravioli- blah. Pass.

My son's favorite Nutella pizza and the tortellini is so tasty . Can't go wrong with bruschetta for apps.

Joe and John's . . . Or as their government name goes, Joseph and John's . . . Where to begin with this venerable neighborhood establishment? Their pizza is soft, crunchy, tangy, salty. But their real highlight is their pasta. I started with the deceptively simple Spaghetti with Broccoli and Oil. This thrilled my tongue. I felt healthy, rejuvenated, younger even. Might I be aging backwards? Yes, in a way that only pasta can unlock. I moved on to the clam pasta. And, dear reader, I have never recovered. Every week, without fail, I need another bowl of the clam pasta. There are actual clams. Giant slices of garlic. Clam shells, so you know they weren't kidding about the clams. The tomato sauce lightens the saltiness of the dish. The pasta is perfectly done: never mushy. Their salads are another unparalleled delight. Their bruschetta pomodoro is crunchy and squishy in all the right places. Their meatballs are delightful. The crew at Joseph and John's are somehow always joyful amidst the chaos of delivering exquisite foods into the stomachs of hungry customers. As I ate, rapturously, I noticed neighborhood celebrity John Wilson shooting the outside of the restaurant. I can only imagine what philosophical babble he will overlay with footage of this sacred site. He knows, as do all the neighborhood denizens, that Joseph and John do not miss.

They got my delivery wrong twice for the same order. I was supposed to get two orders of rigatoni siciliano because my sister got it before and really liked it. The first time they delivered it, we received two orders of pasta with pieces of prosciutto, peas, and maybe an alfredo sauce. Not only was this completely wrong but this is not even a thing on their menu! We called to tell them about the mistake and they came to my house a second time about 20 minutes later with two different but still incorrect dishes. This time what we received was closer to what we ordered but still not right. There were tiny pieces of oil laden eggplant but twas missing the ricotta salata and fresh basil. In addition, it was saturated in a garlic tomato sauce. And when I say garlic, I mean GARLIC. I literally made a pile of huge fresh garlic chunks to throw out. The only reason they got even two stars is because I really enjoy their spinach arancini. It's not easy to find vegetarian rice balls to begin with and they make a great one. With being this unreliable, though, I will not order from this place again. I like to know what I'll be eating for dinner.

D E L I C I O U S!!! The food was a 10, the service and ambience as well.You can taste the passion in the food and the best part is that it's always consistent. Nothing is ever a problem and they always know just what you want. Everything in the menu is a 10!

Great pizzeria, but don't sleep on the rest of the menu. Every slice we have tried has been good. One of our favorites is the cacio e Pepe. If you're in the mood for soup you must try the pasta fagioli. It's sooo delicious! Easily my favorite thing there.

This review is solely based on a take out pie. I don't live near this restaurant at all. Luckily I had the opportunity to try it when a patient brought it in to my job. The grandma slice is absolutely incredible I inhaled 3 slices (not a norm for me). I didn't try a regular slice because the grandma was too good and I didn't want the flavor out of my mouth. The sauce and cheese ratio was perfect. The hint of Italian seasons was a nice touch. Will definitely make it a point to visit this pizzeria and tell everyone I know from that area too.

A staple in Ridgewood, I don't know where I'd get my NY style Italian cuisine if it weren't for them. Love everyone who works there, they all put a smile to my face and remind me of why I moved to New York in the first place! Definitely recommend!!

Joe and John's Pizzeria is the epitome of a neighborhood pizza joint. Their regular slice should be considered one of the best slices in NY. Not to mention all the food from their kitchen is better than most Italian restaurants I've been to. I was greeted when I walked in the door and the whole staff seemed friendly. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Ridgewood.

I cannot believe, that I have never reviewed Joe and John's Pizzeria. Even though I have been here plenty of times, at least once a year, when I am in the neighborhood, growing up, in the Bushwick, Ridgewood area, I knew J&J's, was the best pizzeria in the area. Going back to when I was 12 years old, I remember coming to J&J's, with my friends, for their Upside Down Sicilian. It was great then, made different than it is now, although things change, and not the original owner any longer, J&J's still belts out the best pizza in the area. Actually I came here on Monday, with three of my friends, my friends have not been to the neighborhood in more than 30 years, from when we were teenagers. First of all, Monday was a beautiful day, we opted to sit outside, enjoying our pizza's, and looking at the sites. We all ordered, an Upside Down Sicilian slice, that tomato sauce on top, was was fresh and zesty, the mozzarella was just right, a really enjoyable slice. From there we branched out to different slices that look so inviting in their display case. I went for the Pepperoni Sicilian, totally awesome slice, crunchy, chewy, airy, incredible sauce, great pepperoni. The other guys ordered, a Vodka Sicilian, a Regular Slice, a Grandma Slice, they also had nothing but good things to say about their slices, great sauce, great crunch, nice chew. Really great neighborhood spot, high-quality food, friendly staff. I had an opportunity to speak with the owner, very nice young man, wished him good luck in his endeavor. If I could just add, I had been away for a while, and when I was going home, my friends asked me, where I would like to go eat, and I responded Joe and John's.

We stopped by at 9:30 on a Friday night. We knew they were closing at 10pm so we rushed to get there. Luckily, we made it just in time right while they were getting ready to close up. We wanted to try their infamous upside down slice and there was 1 left. The guys who were working there were friendly and accommodating and even gave two extra slices since they were about to close shop. The upside down was delicious and so full of flavor. 1 slice was filling and the fresh cheeses definitely added a unique flavor. The marinara wasn't tarty or sweet, it was a nice mix. The crust was crunchy and not too thick or thin. Want to come back to try some other slices for sure.

Decent food, but this place sucks. First time I ordered online through THEIR website, they either forgot or didnt see the order. I called after 2 hours of waiting and was told it'd be another 30. The pizza wasn't bad for this desert of a neighborhood tho, so I gave it another shot tonight. Didn't go so well either. Called to make sure they got the order. Was quoted $40 and 30 mins wait cause they were busy. Cool, no prob. Showed up after 40 mins, our order wasn't ready. Nobody seemed to know what was going on or even what we had ordered. Every single staff was confused and clueless. After another 25 mins of waiting, we got the food and were charged $55. We ordered a large pie with 2 toppings ($26), some wings ($6), arancini ($6) and sauteed spinach ($6). These are prices on their ordering website. That's $44. $48 with tax. This wasn't an online order or anything so there should be no fee. Where did the extra $7 come from? Did they tip themselves even after screwing up our order? We'll never know cause I ain't coming back to this shtshow of a pizza place.

Joe & John's gets a solid 4 stars for the delicious food at affordable prices, but a full 5 for the phenomenal service. My group of 5 came in around 9pm on a Tuesday night. The place was clean and well-lit, which isn't usually the case with pizza-by-the-slice joints! In their display case, there were pizzas, beef patties, pepperoni pinwheels, and fried raviolis. Their pizzas ranged from the expected (mushroom, pep, etc) to the not-so-much (Caesar salad pizza, anyone??) I ordered a Hawaiian slice and 4 fried raviolis (2/$1), which they fried up fresh upon ordering! With a fruit punch Snapple, my total came to a whopping $8. Everything was hot and tasty, and totally hit the spot! Where their service really shined was when my clumsy ass accidentally knocked a plate off the table and broke it. The nice guys working the counter came over and first thing they asked was, "Is everyone okay?" It was so courteous of them! They cleaned everything up quickly and made sure it was no inconvenience to us. I approached them afterwards and offered to pay for the plate, and they insisted that would be unnecessary. Talk about great customer service. They just made a loyal customer of me! Thanks for the great food and service, Joe & John's!!

NEW OVEN ALERT. Joe & John's has always held a great standard when it comes to NYC pizza but damn this new oven is a game changer. Crust is crispier than ever with a beautiful light char at the edges. It makes their slices pop in a new and exciting way. Definitely leveled up. Big fan of all their classic slices and also forever in love with the Chicken Caesar slice here - I find it better than most in the area. Long live Joe & John's!

Another classic NY Pizzeria, and neighborhood treasure for the great NYC neighborhood of Ridgewood, as well as an underrated gem that deserves far wider recognition and acclaim. This spot is somewhat brilliantly unique in how it manages to split the difference and find the sweetest spot between classic old school neighborhood joint (since 1968!) and keeping up with all the latest trends coming from whatever wave the newest and most cutting edge new school spots are at by now, for example offering the most hype beast of condiments Mikes hot honey along with the regular mason jars of parmesan and hot pepper, (For free! whereas many of those aforementioned revivalist slice shops will up-charge a dollar or more to add it to a slice) and offering a exemplary version of the now ubiquitous semi thick grandma-esque slice overflowing with the similarly hype-beast cupping roni's, along with the pretty much perfect classic NY style and Sicilian's. Staff=the epitome of classic NYC cool and exudes genuine care and friendliness, and are pretty much straight out of classic outer-borough casting in the best way possible. Grabbing a fresh slice and enjoying it out in front or across the street in the lovely public plaza is the type of simple, classic NYC pleasure that has surely kept myself and many other New Yorkers who are lucky enough to have access to this place sane through this cursed pandemic.
