One of the jackets in the window caught my eye when we were walking by at the Fashion Island location. We decided to come back later on in the day and had an awesome experience in the store. Kobe was an incredible help and did a great job walking me through all the options and telling me about the awesome product that Joe Bananas produces. I ended up purchasing a stand out jacket for one of my wedding events and a button up shirt. The styles are incredible and the service is even better. Kobe helped us to some nice Prosecco and a glass of Oban to close the deal. Awesome brand and I can’t wait to wear my jacket! Thank you. Five stars and highly recommend checking them out! Did not plan on buying clothing while in Sydney, especially after having suits made in Kuala Lumpur, but the quality of materials and uniqueness of design convinced me to purchase an amazing jacket and pants. The sales man was easy to deal with and fun. I am now a committed customer.

Visiting southern california from michigan and Stopped by the mall with my wife to kill some time walked by Joe Bananas said to my wife look at those suit jackets in the window those are amazing, so we went in to take a look. Evan greeted us and explained the inspiration behind the design of the jackets he asked if I wanted to try one on and before I knew it he had one of those amazing designs in his hand and of course it was my size cause that's what he does. So here's the bottom line when he slipped the jacket that was in the Window (red agate shot) on me I literally got goosebumps from head to toe, I feel like I'm wearing a piece of art and when I stepped outside the store to see what it looked like in the sun light my wife said everyone was staring at me (really they were staring at the jacket) she said one lady almost ran into someone while she was looking at that piece of art I was wearing thank you so much Evan I love wearing this beautiful piece that you and your team have created. Thanks again will definitely be looking forward to getting other pieces. Terry

I first encountered Joe Bananas whilst visiting Sydney,Australia. I was overwhelmed by the tasteful and yet unique fashion design approach using vibrant colors without ever being garish. I immediately recalled Polonius’s advice to his son leaving for France “ costly thy habit as thy purse can buy, rich, not gaudy, for the apparel oft proclaimers the man and they in France of the highest station and rank are most select and generous in that”….I’m quoting from memory so if I’ve missed a word or so forgive me. Both Evan and Kim are true artists in fashion design. They draw upon The Natural beauty of Australia for their unique clothing products. As co-owners they are friendly and accommodating. I feel I am among friends when ever I visit their establishment which is now thankfully located on upper Madison ave. I recommend them without the slightest reservation. The quality here easily beats all the brands in Fashion Island. Perfectly tailored jackets, shirts and even t-shirts. It’s so hard to find simple but nice & elegant t-shirts nowadays, yet theirs are just that.

Quality clothes and designs. True effort put into work and style above all. Tad predatory in their sales, hiding prices prior to purchase and no return policy visible in store.

Amazing fabrics, knowledgeable sales staff and all CUSTOM clothing. Unique fabrics and classic styles. Looking forward to my new purchase. We first saw Joe Bananas in Sydney, AU and everytime I've passed by the Newport store, I've been tempted. But now, my first purchase.

Nat and Evan are the best! we wandered in here a couple years ago to look at the flashy Hawaiian shirts. over a dozen shirts, three silk jackets, and a few shorts later we've become fairly loyal fanboys. we've got a wishlist of jackets, and are sure to order button ups from every release. the clothes receive compliments on a regular basis, and the jackets are so cool, they give you a real confidence boost. tailoring is fast, i had a pair of shorts hemmed the same day. highly recommend stopping in here, chatting it up with Nat, watching the flip! grabbing something fun, and becoming a loyal customer!

Poor overpriced quality not very good stitching at seams very weak. Shop looks nice however think twice before purchasing.

So much to say about this business. The owner is very dedicated and it's clear how much he loves his brand, employees and customers. I went in for some last minute big requests and Joe bananas came through in a meaningful way. Your team has earned my highest respect! Your fit and finish is next level, I was unaware I was buying art and purpose built clothing until you showed me how each piece has a specific inspiration. You all made me feel welcomed, especially because I know I'm not the typical customer for high quality brands. Grateful for you guys and your work. Worth every penny. I just purchased my second silk jacket from this Joe Bananas store and could not be happier. Their garments are beautifully made, striking in appearance, and comfortable to wear, and they are limited runs making them not likely to be seen on anyone else. The staff is particularly helpful and professional and very good at guiding you to colors and designs that compliment your particular features. Shopping at this store makes you feel like a million bucks. I highly recommend stopping in just for the experience.

I am utterly blown away by the attention to detail in the jackets I bought. I wore one of them to party the night I bought it and got compliments all night long. The silk jackets hold their structure, roll it up and no problem as no wrinkles. Evan is excellent at picking style and fitment and goes over the top for customer service. I was amazed at how the linen shirt fits like a structured shirt, even though it's linen, but still has the great casual presentation. I also bought one of the ties, which I've never seen anything like it, what creativity! I would post pictures but it doesn't do them justice.
