On the Grid : Joe's Inn

"The Fan has changed a lot since Joe’s Inn was established in 1952, but the two-sided diner/neighborhood bar has kept it consistent since its inception. Luckily, the dark, wood-paneled, booth-y, atmosphere will never go out of Richmond vogue, and any place that serves breakfast anytime is a place where you’ll find folks from all walks of RVA life. Dinner’s just as delicious, with a big and often Greek-influenced menu. Just don’t overdo it, the portions are more than generous. On the bar side of things, choose your brew from among 24 taps, and settle in for a lively evening of conversation with enthusiastic Joe’s patrons." - Mobelux

I enjoyed lunch here with a group of four. I had the homemade crab cake sandwich with fries. The sandwich was delicious but the fries were the shoestring type and not my favorite. Others had the meatball sub and a pastrami sandwich which they loved. The peanut butter, key lime, and coconut pies were yummy. Service was fast and friendly.

The food was great. The homefries were well seasoned. The pancakes are really cakey, which I like. The atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend!

I think this was the biggest and best baked pasta I’ve ever had. Got the spaghetti al la joes with marinara sauce and a meatball. The meatball was fall apart in your mouth tender. Very delicious. The baked pasta was so good. With crispy pieces of pasta and cheese were divine. Sauce is a sweet red sauce (right up my alley). Garlic bread was okay. Could tell it from was a fresh loaf but needed more garlic. Got peanut butter pie for dessert. Don’t sleep on the desserts! That pie was Soooo good. Overall come check out joes inn and get the pasta! Delicious

Fun restaurant. Television was on sports channel. Lots of couples and small groups of friends. Historical looking building. Parking is curbside. Food was amazing 👏 🤩. Portions are huge even at lunch. I love the mac n cheese. The mudslide oreo pie was to die for!

I ordered a BLT online from Joe’s Inn, and the entire process was easy and straightforward. I drove over to pick it up at the time indicated, and my order was ready when I arrived. Once I got home, I enjoyed a delicious BLT—perfectly made—and the coleslaw was excellent too! Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Portion sizes are huge and the food came out quickly. Nice attentive wait staff. Visited at 5 pm on a Monday and the place was busy but still had booths open for us so no wait.

Google
Amazing!! Heard by word of mouth that THIS is the place for a good meal and meeting friends. It was fantastic!! I had the baked Spaghetti with Marinara, Garlic bread, and the Portobello Mushroom Appetizer. Mouth watering and satisfying down deep. So rare to find good food thats fresh and made in house. They have two doors, 1 goes into the restaurant which has 3 rows of tables. The 2nd door leads to the bar as well as a row of booths. We were seated within 8min of arrival and had drinking within 2 min. The menu is extensive but it's all fresh and delicious. *Excited to do breakfast next time* They have a kids menu and serve breakfast till 2pm. I love this Gem in Richmond.

Yelp
Oh man, even after 5+ years of not coming it, it still is a great family spot. My husband and I decided to take the kids to this location for lunch after venturing out in the city. With our situation of having kids with special needs, we had to plan accordingly. (We packed the kid's tablets, headphones, and activity books to keep them occupied for the attempt we were going to do.) It was midday during the weekend and we got it during a time where it was right before the lunch rush. We entered in through the bar area and lucked out and got a spot in the booths - which I highly recommend in trapping the kids from hoping/jumping all over the place. Anyways, they had fans which is a big win in our books with our oldest. Our server was great and super fast with getting our orders in and checking in afterwards. We managed to enjoy our mimosa and the kids got to split a burger with french fries. I hate that I don't remember what my husband and I got but I know that it was delish! I haven't been to Joe's in forever and the food and experience was just as great, if not then much better with the family! It was a little loud but that's okay, our kids had headphones and things to keep them busy until we got them out the door! haha Overall, the family experience was great and I appreciate the fast service that we got. Thank you!

Yelp
Hungover and need some comfort food and carbs? You NEED to stop a Joe's! I had a rowdy girls night with my sister the night before and before heading home we decided breakfast was a must. We drove to Joe's and parking spots were easy to find. We were quickly seated and our waitress was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We ordered a round of mimosas while we waited on our food. I ordered the Nickwich and unfortunately didn't snap a pic because I devoured it in minutes. Not my finest moment but I needed something to soak up the alcohol quickly. It was delicious and very filling! Would love to come back again and try lunch or dinner next time! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Bar side. Dark with character. Service was sufficient and friendly. Food was tasty and very filling. Large portions. Baked spaghetti is the ticket. Check them out.

Yelp
I cannot believe it's taken me this long to come here!!! This place is amazing!!! A small restaurant hidden in the middle of RVA. So many delicious options to choose from making it pretty impossible to choose only one! This place is so good- i can only imagine that they are pretty busy for dinner service. My girlfriends and I came for lunch and thankfully it was not busy so service was quick and attentive and parking was easy to find! I ended up getting this humongous lasagna and a side salad. The lasagna was hands down 5-star delicious and the salad with their homemade vinaigrette was mouthwatering tasty. Like wow! The lasagna was huge that luckily I was able to bring it home for a second meal! I seriously love this place- so if are craving yummy Italian food (and then some!), come check this place out. You will not be disappointed!!!

Yelp
Joe's Inn is a local favorite! This was my first time grabbing a bite to eat there and in a while and now I'm sure it'll be in my regular rotation once again. I like how the menu serves a variety of options, without having so many that it's overwhelming. Additionally, their breakfast menu is available all the time and every looks amazing. My friends got the pancakes and adored them. I really enjoyed my salad with salmon and was so appreciative that the order came out exactly as I asked, thanks to the great wait staff. You will have to get street parking so I recommend carpool but there's so much space, my party of 4 we're all able to find spots nearby on a Sunday afternoon. But no matter where you have to park, make sure you take a day to eat at this delish restaurant.
google avatar

Dave W.

Yelp
You can absolutely never go wrong with Joes. It is a Richmond tradition. The spaghetti is a hit, portions are very big, I usually go for the smaller option or split a big one with my wife. So many options. The beer selection is fantastic as well. Always great local brewery options many on tap. Prices are very reasonable and service is perfect every time. Frankly I don't know how so many options can come out of one kitchen. Joe's is great, just go.

Yelp
I've never had a bad meal at Joe's Inn. It's cozy, it's packed, it's delightfully old school. Their pasta is ginormous (get the Greek spaghetti) and their breakfast items (also huge) are well-seasoned and tasty. Don't skip the extra crispy bacon. Their lemonade tastes like Country Time, and I mean that in a good way. You can get one free refill, which is nice too. Their cocktails that I've tried have been well made too. Don't expect to leave here without at least one to-go box.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Always delicious, open late - kitchen closes at 11 for your late night pasta needs. Separate bar area looks well attended.
google avatar

Yelp
The best comfort food EVER. The prices are fair and the portions are huge. Drinks are always good. Service is friendly and fast. This is where I go if I've had a bad day and want a nice comfort meal in a chill atmosphere.

Yelp
Had an impromptu lunch here with a few classmates on a dreary Friday afternoon! They have a wide array of menu offerings from pasta, to subs and cakes and cocktails. They also serve breakfast until the afternoon weekdays which is a huge plus for me. The prices and portions were amazing and I'd come back based off of that alone. For my meal, I got the pancakes. I'm more of a french toast girl, but the pictures I saw online didn't look that good to me and I didn't want to chance it. Along with the pancakes, I also got a side of potatoes, sausage and scrambled eggs with cheese. When my food arrived, I was brought bacon and scrambled eggs with no cheese ): It took me a minute to realize it wasn't what I'd asked for, but when I looked around for our waitress, I didn't see her. A different waitress noticed me looking around and asked if she could help, which I really appreciated. She brought me some sausage, and let me keep the bacon :) The pancakes were so good. Nice and dense and an even brown color. They bring you plenty of butter and jam and a little boat of syrup. If light and airy is your thing, these are not for you as they're kind of hearty. I could only eat one in the restaurant and finished the leftovers in 2 separate meals at home. They were still just as good. Joe's gives me the vibe of a cute little neighborhood spot with lots of regulars who tre waitresses and bar tenders know by name. It's very narrow and dimly lit. We sat on the entry side, but my friend was telling me there's a whole second seating area. The crowd definitely leaned older- lots and lots of grey heads and a couple folks reading the newspaper amongst the chatter. But that just made me like them even more. I feel like I'm in on a hidden secret and can't wait to try more of the menu.

Yelp
Joe's Inn is a Richmond staple and never disappoints. The portions are huge and honestly the entrees can be split between two people. The food is affordable and tasty.
google avatar

Connie T.

Yelp
Joe's Inn is a great spot to satisfy a craving for home-style cooking. The portions are massive and reasonably priced. The pasta entrees come with a salad, soup, or garlic bread. There is also complimentary bread and butter. We visited during the early evening on a Saturday and didn't have to wait too long. The restaurant was already packed and the influx of customers never stopped. The servers were all running around but that didn't affect their attentiveness to each table.
google avatar

Deanna S.

Yelp
A friend took me to breakfast at Joe's Inn and I was hooked from that point on. They have the best french toast I have ever tasted. They make it with thick slices of Greek bread and it is absolutely wonderful. I always request it with powdered sugar on top. Joe's is one of the best breakfasts in town, and I love the vibe, the ambiance in the place. The place just screams nostalgia. I usually eat breakfast at Joe's but recently I had two other dishes at lunch/dinner...the chicken parm with spaghetti (pictured here) and I also tried the Greek spaghetti which was baked with feta cheese on top. Both portions were absolutely huge. My husband and I remarked that going forward we would more than likely split a meal. We had mini-Greek salads with our meals and they were also huge and could easily feed two people. Our little niece was with us and she enjoyed the buttered spaghetti on the kids menu. She even remarked how she loved the atmosphere at Joe's. The servers are super friendly and it's an all-around fabulous experience.

Yelp
Joe's Inn is an old style tavern type restaurant serving good comfort foods. They also serve breakfast all day, which includes eggs, omelettes, pancakes...etc. They also have a huge list of homemade dessert pies and cakes. We were so full we passed on dessert this visit. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the spaghetti Greek. Both were huge portions which required to go boxes. They included bread along with a choice of soup or salad. Everything tasted good, I liked the marinara sauce but do prefer a sweeter tomato sauce. I'll try the meat sauce next time for sure. The restaurant is clean and looks to be refreshed recently with wooden tables, chairs and benches in the booths. The lack of cushions would make it uncomfortable if you were these for awhile. The service is outstanding! Our server, I believe her name was Arin was so friendly and provided everything we needed with a smile. One ding would be that the bathrooms do need a refresh and they are very small. There was plenty of street parking available when we arrived and when we were leaving.

Yelp
Great family or casual date spot; something for everyone on the menu including breakfast all day and vegan items; great value; great cozy atmosphere; great service. If you drink alcohol, there's a great beer selection and HH deals, even a great bar with TV's for sports. First came when I started college in 1984...and still coming 40 years later!

Yelp
Nestled in a quiet Fan neighborhood, Joe's Inn has been around for decades. It's an older building and interior. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. Our server, Arlin, was awesome There are 2 dining areas. Boothes are old wooden style and pretty uncomfortable. The music was very loud. Bathrooms were TINY. They do have a gender neutral bathroom. Servings are HUGE. We will have leftovers for days! Entrees come with a choice of soup or salad and fresh bread. The salad was a nice size and very fresh. Bread was delicious. I enjoyed the Greek spaghetti. I liked the sauc, slightly sweet, I wish there was more of it, though. I added a meatball, I was moist, very garlicky and a nice size. What we ate: Spaghetti ala greek: Spaghetti baked with imported feta, provolone, Romano cheese, and garlic with your choice of either meat or marinara sauce Chicken parm: Fried and breaded chicken breast with spaghetti smothered in meat and marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella Side Meatball My rating rationale +1 Service + 1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation + Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Yelp
I been going here for years with my family. We always had good experiences. We brought a new person to this spot with us and the waitress was completely rude to him. He asked questions about a drink and from that moment on the waitress was rude. We could hear her making fun of him to co workers the rest of the night MULTIPLE TIMES. Making fun of how he asked questions, the questions he asked, and etc. All our friend asked was what type of liquor and bitters was in the drink....Very inappropriate. We normally recommended this place... now we will not be coming or recommending. The waitress was a women with a pixie cut and piercing above her lip. If you get her as waitress, ask for someone else.

Amy C.

Yelp
Terrible experience! Long time customers... We came in really looking forward to the chicken parm and the general atmosphere. Not living in the area, we traveling 3 hours and met up with some old friends, some we haven't seen in 3 years! They wouldn't seat us even though 4 of our party of 5 were present, and there were plenty of large tables available. As we expressed our feelings on wanting to go ahead and be seated, that our 5th party member would be there shortly, they refused until we are all present, wanting us to wait at the door. We sat at the bar and immediately felt unwelcome and received hostility from the bar tender. After being threatened to be asked to leave, we said no problem we'd just wait even though we didn't feel it was good practice on their part. A few minutes later the manager came and stirred up trouble where it wasn't needed. Everything was fine, and we were visiting waiting on our 5th member of our party. She got very hostile and talked down to us trying to "explain" their policy. We expressed everything was fine and were waiting as instructed, she then told us we wouldn't be waited on and we'd need to leave or she'd call the police. We finished our drinks and then went to a more accommodating restaurant. This was absolutely outrageous and very surprising. We are friendly, non-confrontational folks from the more southern part of the state. We will not be supporting this establishment in the future. See pictures of available tables, and bar tender....

Cathy C.

Yelp
Food arrived warm, not hot. Bread was brought cold and not toasted, no butter. Drinks were empty and had to ask for refills. Restaurant wasn't even full/busy. Waitress was very nice for her first day on the job but someone should have shadowed her. After about 20 years giving them a go once again, never going back.

Evelin P.

Yelp
I had the chicken gyro which was a very good. Those I went with also enjoyed their food! Didn't capture the mimosas but they had a good variety of flavors. I went on a Saturday for brunch time and it was pretty busy, but they did a great job with seating everyone at a decent time. The waitress did so well with checking in with us throughout our visit. Check out this little gem if you're looking for a cozy dine-in vibe!

Yelp
A bit of advice: come hungry! Joe's Inn's menu includes a great selection of house specialties, entrees, subs, and more. Your mouth will be watering as you review all of your options. Entree portion sizes are HUGE! House cocktails, beer and wine are also available. The wine is served is small juice glasses in the traditional, Italian way. I ordered the eggplant parm. You get your choice of a side salad or garlic bread. I chose the salad. The entree also came with bread and real butter. My server was so friendly and really upbeat. Oh my gosh, I devoured my fresh salad and a piece of bread, sipped my wine, and waited for my entree. When my entree came to my table it had the most amazing aroma and looked big enough to feed a family of four. Th eggplant parm was sitting atop a load of spaghetti and topped with an abundance of baked, melted cheese. It was so savory and delicious, and the sauce was some of the best I've ever tasted. Needless to say, as yummy as my dish was, I had to ask for a take home container. The bill came and I must say the prices are super reasonable. The atmosphere was so laid back and relaxing. There is plenty of street parking which is a plus. This restaurant is now on my list of local Richmond favorites!

Yelp
Tons of options. like tons. Something for everyone. I love the cozy vibe of Joes. It's homey and warm. The food is yummy. Parking can be hit or miss . Service is prompt.

Yelp
They should have 5 stars!!!! Our waitress was kind and gave us wonderful service. It's so cute inside and the food was delicious!!! It's a tradition to come here when we come to Richmond, VA because it's so good. We got the Cesear salad -- the best dressing, and eggplant parmigiana-- omg soooo amazing, the sauce & amount of cheese, yum!!! The French onion soup was great too!! The portions are huge and definitely shareable. Great beer & wine selections too!! We can't wait to come back!!

Lynne C.

Yelp
The loudest place I've ever had dinner!!! Won't be going back. Food wasn't great either

Ed S.

Yelp
Food offers affordable, decent sized servings brought promptly. Any coffee refills are generously offered. Service is excellent. Clean premises despite busy periods. Midafternoon is a quiet time if that is desired. Portions are sizable enough that a fair number of patrons take home leftovers in freely offered containers.

Yelp
I went here this week with my mom and had an overall great experience! This was the first time I had been to Joe's in about 12 years or so. When I was younger, I remember not being that impressed with Joe's and that was part of the reason why I never returned. I will say, I definitely remembered it incorrectly because everything my mom and I ordered was wonderful! The hummus platter is next level delicious, I love the amount of garlic that's in it. We shared the small portion of the Greek salad and it was still huge, they definitely have one of the best Greek salads in the city!! I ordered the crabcake sandwich and it was one of the best I've had in a while, minimal filler and all crab meat. Their homemade remoulade was delicious, I wish I had a little bit more because I kept dipping my fries in it also. My mom ordered the classic hamburger and I was so impressed to actually find a hamburger in the city! Most places only have cheeseburgers and my mom and I are a fan of just plain hamburgers. It was absolutely perfect, seasoned well, and I will definitely be returning.

YourAverage E.

Yelp
Disappointing food and service. Ambience was nice, but not worth the unsalted, dry food. They were really conservative with sauces despite their large portions. Bartender was short and rude with us; him throwing our menus down at us was only the start of his unsettling demeanor. If you do come, make sure it's only for a beer, but avoid the male bartender.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the food and more importantly the staff at Joes. We always feel so welcome when going here!!!

Billy S.

Yelp
Just a solid Richmond staple. Great vibe, great staff, great menu. Nothing will blow your mind, but everything is just really good and always meets expectations. Also a killer spot for grabbing drinks. Hopefully it's around for a long time.

Yelp
This was popping around 8-9 pm. Seems like this is a local and tourist spot. Joe's Inn was recommended by locals. If you're really hungry, get the spaghetti dish for yourself. But I recommend sharing this with another person or even 3 people. There was so much food that we had leftovers for days. The house specialities comes with soup, salad or bread. We got the garlic bread, which came with so many loafs. Then, I shared this with my friend and got the spaghetti a La green, which was simple. But our friend got the Spaghetti a La Rudd, which that was creamy and filling. For the price and quantity, it is worth it. Only thing is they don't really have a waiting area and it is street parking.

Yelp
We looked for a lunch place as we rolled into Town and read the reviews and I am so glad we went here!! Cute place not too big but just enough space and noticed tables for big parties also.. I wanted a steak and Inhad thw Entrecot steak and a side of brocolli and it was so nicely cooked both things .. the steak was cooked to perfection and the broccolli was really tasty ... My son had the lasagna and he loved it .. tasted homemade .. my daughter asked for plain pasta with butter and it was a nice big serving and she loved it too..the deserts looked so good but we didnt get to try them.. Yelp
Joe's was POPPIN' on a Sunday evening! Despite a decent amount of seating, there was still quite a wait for my parents and I to get in. It's a fun casual place, and my Dad was thrilled they were playing the Commanders game on their many TVs! We were absolutely starving, and we were ecstatic when we finally got our food! Good thing we brought our appetites because the portions are HUGE! My mother got a unique cocktail she enjoyed, I tried the spaghetti a La Greek which was yummy especially with the feta! And my parents shared a cheese pizza with bacon on it! Overall, this was a hidden gem!! I've been in RVA on & off for 5 years now but just discovered it on Yelp & hope to return!

Yelp
Went here for brunch with coworkers. There wasn't a mixed crowd so I felt like I stood out a little bit, but the vibe was nice. I ordered the big breakfast. The menu says I cannot substitute the pork meat for anything else but they chef allowed it . I really appreciated that! The pitcher of mimosa was OK. Not too much orange juice but a little watered down.

Yelp
Good food, great service. Big portions. Cute neighborhood gem. A bit loud. Great beer selection.
google avatar

Yelp
Wish I didn't have to write this. The worst service today. Took our drink order and got our drinks. Rude bartender/waitress I never seen came to our booth and was so rude and took our food order that never came. We walked out to NEVER RETURN!!! I've been going to Joes since 1979. Never hv I been treated like a invisible person.

Joseph S.

Yelp
First timer from out of town found Joe's Inn and glad I did. Eggplant parmigiana over spaghetti was so good. Looks like I'll have to go back before I fly back home to Phoenix.

Blake H.

Yelp
Been twice the last 2 years. The prices are very fair and the service is great. Portions are big as well!
google avatar

Carolyn B.

Yelp
Joe's is a classic. The restaurant offers a vibe that is so homey & fun for dates, rallying, or late night silliness in general. The specialty cocktails are fun & delicious, and they offer a fairly wide selection of local beers. Their onion rings are solid, with a delicious batter and satisfying crunch, but the only downside being a relatively small portion on onion. The last time I visited this past weekend, the pizza was pretty meh, with the texture of the crust and the jar flavor of the sauce barely convincing me to take a second slice. This being said, this was the first thing I've tried here that I won't get again. If you are interested in red wine, go for the Masciarelli Montepulciano.
google avatar

Nikki G.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant tucked away in the city of Richmond. It could be a sitcom or movie set! The staff is friendly and hardworking. The place is clearly popular and busy at least on the weekends. The food is pretty good too although I would have preferred their potato salad to be less creamy, more chunky piece of potato, and a bit less mayo. But this place really seems to be a gem, and you can take a nice stroll around the surrounding area afterwards.

Yelp
I think everyone is happy to be outside!!! Joe's Inn is always packed, which is a testimony to their great food. We dipped in to have dinner after an evening of dinosaurs at The Convention Center. We waiting roughly 20 mins for a table, however, I did meet a new friend while we waited. Even though we felt like our belly buttons were touching our backbones, we still ended up with full to go plates. My daughter had the big breakfast and I had a chicken parm sub with onions -- and a PBR. I was a tab obsessed with my daughter'a fluffy, light pancakes with that delicious syrup...mmmm. I should have ordered that!! She was not very crazy about the home fries though. My sub was good but I would have loved some jalapeños on it. The bread was a tab bit over toasted but the marinara sauce helped it out. I also got a Loaded spaghetti with extra meat sauce to go. My Booface has to eat when he gets off. All in all, I very solid place to eat that's worth the short wait.

Amanda E.

Yelp
Me and the fiancé's first time at Joe's Inn and we weren't disappointed. The old school vibe, friendly staff and decorations (Christmas time) started our dining experience off on the right foot. My fiancé got the Chicken Parm sub and I got the Submarine sub (basically an Italian sub). Both were amazing but the Chicken Parm especially was delicious (not surprising as they specialize in Italian food). My favorite part of the sub was the bread - it was so fresh and flaky. The portions are big so you definitely won't leave hungry. We each tried a piece of cake - peanut butter and Oreo. Both were delicious but I favored the peanut butter pie. All in all, we now understand why Joe's Inn is a Richmond staple! :)

Yelp
My friend and I had to wait for a table, and the hostess who was very busy seating people remembered my name and was so kind to everyone even though it was super busy. The waitresses were all willing to make conversation as well, and it made the experience so welcoming. You could tell regulars were there as the staff knew they by name. The portions are huge and such a great deal for all that you get. The spaghetti a La Joe is my favorite pasta in Richmond. You can tell the sauce is so fresh! I definitely need to go back for brunch.

Tried this location verses Southside from the reviews in my Foodie group. Unpopular opinion: not impressed. The service was ok. Food not as good as it once was to me. The tomato sauce (ragu/bolognese style) was a bit too rustic as in the carrots were still very much so crunchy and lacked flavor. The pizza gave frozen honestly, wasn't the best that I've had from them at all. Sigh.

Yelp
Food is amazing!! I've always enjoyed an old fashioned themes and this place delivers with the warm dark wood interior and fresh delicious foods. The service is great, they made sure to check in multiple times in case we needed anything. Will be coming back!

Yelp
Food was amazing. I got the loaded spaghetti dinner minus the mushrooms. And it was the best EVERRRRRR!!!! Meatballs are huge. Sauce is well seasoned and the flavor is on point. This is maybe my third time trying Joe's in in Lakeside now. And I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for some good Italian food. It's different than the spaghetti you eat at all of the other chain Italian restaurants. Its sooo much better. The portions are very large. Two people could always share.

Yelp
Consistently good product with large variety of menu items. Reasonable priced. Wait staff generally good and responsive. Restaurant is comfortable having booth and table seating options

Yelp
Veggie lasagna- so good, so many veggies that blended well together. Pasta a la Rudd- had very little flavor and we left most of it there. Bruschetta- the topping was good, a lot of bread with it Portabella Mushroom Florentine- everyone enjoyed this, heavy on the balsamic but it was classic Italian flavors Staff was nice and they are social distancing tables as they are supposed to!

Yelp
Found this great spot ahead of time as we had two toddlers in tow and needed a kid friendly spot. What a rich history it has too and you can tell from the outside and the two inside sections. There are two entrances, one to the long bar and booth side and the other is tables and booths. We could pick any spot we wanted and got a booth by the door. Quick service with water, booster seats and menus right away. I ordered a glass of red wine and my friend had the ginger beer. We then ordered a steak and cheese (real cuts of thick steak!) with fries (sides are extra) and my friend had the chicken parm sandwich. We both loved them and the sandwich bread was so yummy too. We'll be headed back to this gem again our next visit to Richmond. Last but not least, our server was so nice and accommodating!
