Google
Good New York-style thin pizza as well as Chicago-style pan pizza. Fresh ingredients baked just right. Service is pretty fast too. It's a bit small given that it's at an angle, but they did a good job making the most of the space. It's also a very busy corner of Cambridge making the window seats ideal for people watching. Don't forget to take butterfly & angel wings pics around the corner in the alley just before the COOP.

Google
Their white pizza was so good. The Sicilian was just ok. I love how quick the service is and seeing all the famous people who have visited the NYC locations. The slices were 5 each when I went, and I was satisfied with 2.

Google
Great pizza! The quality is solid, especially for the price—not too expensive and definitely hits the spot if you’re craving a good slice. It’s a great value for what you get. The only downside is the limited seating, which can be a bit inconvenient during busy hours, but it’s still doable if you’re flexible or planning to grab and go. Overall, highly recommended for a quick, tasty, and affordable bite! 🍕

Google
Quite possibly the best pizza in the Cambridge/Boston area. Crust is thin and eat-alone delicious, there’s the right amount of marinara and cheesiness that stretches when you eat it. I’d recommend not waiting to eat it for the best eating experience. We’ve done both and nothing beats getting it hot out of the oven. Recommend the supreme✨

Google
Joe’s Pizza is my favorite pizza place — I love thin-crust pizza, and that’s why I keep going back. My all-time favorite is the cheese pizza with ricotta, spinach, and mushrooms. I really hope they bring this combo back! Last time I visited, they added the mushrooms afterward, but I believe it would taste even better if everything were baked together. 🍕

Google
Joe's Pizza is a famous NYC pizza shop that recently moved to the Boston area within the last few years, and has remained popular due to its late night offerings as well as large slices for affordable prices. The line moved quick, and the food was out within a few minutes. Staff are friendly and they welcome you and move the process along just as quick. The first time I tried it, I didn't seem to enjoy it as much, however on subsequent visits I found I enjoyed it a lot more. The pizza wasn't that oily, and it was cooked to still have a decently soft crust that wasn't too hard to eat. The pizza itself is not too thin, and brings a great flavor and taste with their variety of toppings.

Google
Good American style pizza, both thin and sicilian slices. The place is small but has several seats. There's a wall of pics of celebrities who have been here. It's open until 3 am, good for the students I guess. The atmosphere is a little cold though and it feels a little touristy but definitely good for a casual lunch or snack here at Harvard Square.

Google
The cheese pizza is simply the best. The Supreme pizza could use more meat and vegetables, but they’re still delicious. Pairing them with a glass-bottled Coca-Cola makes the experience even better. Absolutely amazing!

Yelp
Ok, so this place ain't cheap but for once you DO get what you pay for: truly NEW YORK style pizza, perfectly cooked crust that is so damned hard to find, plus a decent amount of fresh, high quality toppings. $6 a slice and you really need two to be relatively full so we're talking $12 vs $7 for two slices at Whole Foods, and in my opinion the extra $5 is well worth it. WF's pizza is not that far behind, but it's not quite in the same league. (Funny thing is, WF's pizza is equal or better than almost every other local pizza joint, both the chains and the one-off family run places. TIP: If you're on a tight budget, Market Basket pizza comes close to WF's but at half the price, about the same price as Costco pizza but far far better.) I'd say Joe's Pizza actually beats out local favorite Regina's which always entails a long wait especially on weekends and where you have to specifically ask for "extra crispy" to get anything that comes close to Joe's crust quality. Ambience is also very New York: small narrow space almost always active/full with a very diverse clientele due to the Ha-vud Square location, no tables just window side counters and stools, nice for people watching outdoors or inside. Service was friendly and efficient. Oh, and they're open until *2:30AM* Thu-Sat, 1:30AM other nights for delivery, *3AM* and *2AM* respectively for in-store pickup? Nothing special in NYC, but so so very rare in the sleepy AF greater Boston area! Ergo: I'll be baaaaaaaack!

Yelp
Pros: Fast service, the pizza was pretty hot and the sizes were fairly big, the prices were extremely reasonable. My husband and I found a place to sit pretty quickly (albeit, It was on a stool, but that's OK). The server were really nice and it wasn't too loud in the restaurant. Also, they have a celebrity wall where they show all the celebrities who have enjoyed their pizza over the years, which is pretty cool. In terms of the pizza again, I really enjoyed the flavor. It was definitely New York style pizza. Great location. Overall score: A+

Yelp
I stopped by here on a Saturday night because I was still hungry. I am always still hungry. This place is a New York style pizza parlour, they take the premade pizza, they reheat it in a hot oven, you pay, and then they give you the pizza. It's great. The service was quick, and the pizza was cheese and greasy and delicious. I had a slice of cheese pizza, and it was gooey, fresh, and satisfied my craving. Feels a bit college in terms of atmosphere, and I'm sure it gets busier when students are around, but this shop knows what it's doing and moves the line fast. If you're walking by, stop in for a slice.

Yelp
I didn't eat at Joe's in NY often since I usually prefer Prince St, but I was surprised that Joe's had a location in Cambridge and knew I had to try! The pizza was good with fresh ingredients, though it would be nice if they had some more flavor options available. Overall, would def come back if you're craving some late night pizza!
google avatar

Yelp
Great pizza in the busy streets of Harvard Square. We wanted to grab something quick and good so we could continue on our way. They were very busy, but everything moves quickly. I asked for a crispy crust, but it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. Both the white pizza and pepperoni pizza slices were delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally true NY pizza now available in boston! Yes that means perfect thin crispy pizza!! They have few seats inside and also some tables outside for you to stand and eat on during the summer!
google avatar

Parita A.

Yelp
Absolutely love a good no frills NY pizza spot don't get me wrong! The service was fast and the place itself brought me to an NY pizza spot which is great. The pizza was okay. It was definitely very crunchy and more so than I personally was expecting. The options were pretty slim too. Would definitely go back but wouldn't run to get there fast.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
My favorite pizza spot! They have a great cheese pizza. Thin, crispy with no flop! The cheese and tomato sauce taste so fresh. I have no complaints and I'm always ready to go grab a slice here! Service is always great :)
google avatar

Kira W.

Yelp
Pizza came out really quick and was great! Although not as cheap as NYC, still really reasonably priced. The pizza came out really quick (they always reheat it so you don't get a cold slice, and it tasted great

Yelp
I had a Supreme Slice at the Joe's in Harvard Square. The slice was thin crust New York Style. Had a little color on the bottom. It was a pretty well executed slice. The toppings and cheese were good. The crust held up well. The sauce wasn't that noticeable. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant had some inside seating and was clean. 4 Stars. Joe's wouldn't be my first area choice for food if I had time, but it's definitely a good option for a quick bite.

Yelp
Loved it!! Best New York Pizza!! So many great pizza choices!! Must try! Great late night pizza snack!!
google avatar

Ina G.

Yelp
I can't believe there is actually a New York style pizza place here. I had to pinch myself. At first, I couldn't believe that it was the same Joe's Pizza. Then, when I did believe it, I didn't think it would actually be just like the original. But it was! I couldn't stop eating the crust. I ate the entire crust. It's perfectly charred with the crunchy cornmeal underneath and the air bubbles and everything! Just like in NYC, it's crowded but the line moves quickly.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
.They offer one thing: pizza. They do have Chicago style and Sicilian. They offer a pizza with raw sliced tomato's and cheese. I have never seen this before. The place was rather congested. I think because there were so many people in a limited amount of space. I just had a slice of pizza because they are so large. I think buying by the slice is the way to go. It is located at the heart of Harvard Square. There is stool seating at a counter as well as seating outside.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
This is ok, could be good pizza. I thought it was on par with our local chain, Regina's. The price was surprising but when I saw the size, it was a fair price for the pizza. Topping portions were good. The pizza itself was ok, the cheese pizza really needed salt, which was a first for me. The pizza was also too charred for my taste, bordering burnt. The dough was overly chewy. It's really just ok, I wouldn't go out of my way to order.
google avatar

Rj S.

Yelp
Excellent pizza, the thin crust cheese is a classic. The Sicilian is also very good. A must stop whenever in the Cambridge area. Recommend highly!
google avatar

Woo K.

Yelp
Awesome. The moment you walk in, the smell is so similar. I'm used to going to joes when living In NY. This was a very similar experience. Thin, crust was awesome. Sweet sauce. Crust was a bit over. But the rest was so goooooood
google avatar

Yelp
Joe's Pizza is one of the only pizza spots open late until 2-3 AM! Serving $5-6/slice, coming to Joe's for our late night pizza craving was THE BEST choice we made What we ordered: supreme fresh mozz pepperoni Loving that I won't have to go all the way to NY for a bite at Joe's anymore
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
My favorite NYC pizza. We had it delivered to the hotel. I could eat this pizza every day!
google avatar

Chirag P.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood. Great balance of sauce and cheese, light and crispy crust. What I like is they seem busy enough that those slices aren't really sitting that long under the warmer (and they reheat them in oven before serving), so very fresh.
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
This restaurant in Harvard Square offers great pizza slices at a good price. It's busy, but the line moves very quickly! The service is fast and friendly. The pizzas all looked delicious, and I chose a slice of caprese. The crust was thin and crisp, and the toppings were fresh, flavourful and abundant. The slice was so large that it was served on two paper plates! Finding a seat in the restaurant was quick and easy- there are many spaces along the perimeter and there is a quick turnover of customers.
google avatar

Phuong L.

Yelp
I understand the hype!!! We tried the caprese, supreme, and cheese pizza and they were all delicious. I love how the slices were light, crispy, flavorful, and not oily. My favorite would have to be the supreme because I personally love mushrooms and meat on my pizza. The caprese was super fresh and tasty as well. The service was really fast it took less than 5 mins to get the pizza. There was a good amount of seating when we went. The parking is impossible so please consider using public transportation or park far and walk.
google avatar

Erica L.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. Thin but not super thin and crunchy. The crust is great and the sauce is perfect. The cheese pizza is some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. The pizza is semi expensive ($25 for a cheese pizza) but it is quite large (8 slices). Definitely recommend going, or getting it delivered on DoorDash! soo good!!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by on 10/30 for a quick Slice before the airport and this did not disappoint! This is the heart of Cambridge! Yumm
google avatar

Adina S.

Yelp
I'm always a fan of pizza by the slice and it's great to have options. I think Otto is just okay and Pinocchio's is a different style, so I'd say Joe's is a pretty solid addition for Harvard Square. Is it quite Joe's in New York City? Nope. But is it pretty good for Boston? You bet. The crust has a nice crunch and the sauce to cheese ratio is perfect. There's just something small missing in the flavor, but I can't pinpoint it. The restaurant is a bit small, without tons of seating, but it's not a problem if you don't mind sitting on a stool or taking your pizza to go. Even though there was a line, it moved pretty quickly. I'd recommend for anyone in the mood for a New York slice!
google avatar

Conner S.

Yelp
No frills NY style pizza. All the pizza is in a case at the front and you select the slice that you want and they reheat it for you in the oven. I kept it simple with a slice of pepperoni and it was great! Everything you would want out of a NY slice - crispy and foldable crust, good sauce and toppings, great flavor. You are also able to get whole pizzas. There is counter/barstool seating throughout. They can get busy but it's a high volume business so seats cycle out and open up quickly.
google avatar

Dominique D.

Yelp
Quick and easy pizza! Stopped by because I was craving a slice and heard this was a new addition to the area. The inside is on the small side but there's a bunch of chairs, bar seating, and high tops. The service was great and quick. We chose what slices we wanted and they heated it up for us. I'd say it was a little pricey for two slices. I wish they had a combo deal or something. The pizza was okay. I got a meat slice while my friend went for a cheese slice. There are options for everyone. I'd come again if I'm craving a slice.
google avatar

Brandon K.

Yelp
My friend and I shared a slice here, was a good slice of pizza when on an empty stomach. I got the Mozzarella, but for some reason mine looks a bit sad compared to the others. If you want a more reliable slice, you may have to go with other topping selections. All in all, solid and worth a try.
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
Not a New Yorker so I'm not sure how authentic this is or how it compares to the OG locations but it tastes good to me! I got a cheese slice for $4 which is good for a snack or if you aren't super hungry but craving a warm savory bite. The crust is thin and crispy, with a good amount of cheese and the tangy sauce breaking up the richness of everything. It was a tad salty for my liking but not too much. There were only two people in front of me when I visited but it still took a bit of a wait due to the cashier taking phone orders in between ringing up customers and the time it takes to get the slices reheated. All in all, worth a visit, but I also find that other thin crust joints are comparable (like Otto just a few doors down). Again, not a New Yorker here so judge for yourself!
google avatar

Lindsay D.

Yelp
Friendly staff and great pizza! Went around 11 before it got too crowded. The crust was thin and crispy and the mozzarella and sauce were delicious. Love that they offer slices and they don't heat them up too much so you can eat them right away.
google avatar

Yelp
A visit to Joe's was at the top of my list of things to do in Boston as soon as I booked my flight - and it will stay at the top of that list every single time I come in the future. Order at the counter, pay when you get your massive slices, and leave happy. There's some seating inside and outside of the restaurant that I'm sure fills up quickly during rushes, and it is has all of the vibds of your well-loved corner pizza store. Cheese Slice: literally the perfect pizza. Ridiculously well-supported undercarriage, perfect crust-to-sauce-to-cheese ratio, and the undoubtedly most heavenly crunch from any dish I tried during my entire trip. Their tomato sauce is sweet and their cheese is light but satisfying, with juuust enough oil to keep you satisfied but not dripping off of the pizza. A modern classic. Supreme: somehow managed to stack a significantly larger number of toppings on a similarly thin crust as the cheese and make it work (a little droopier for good reason). Sausage was sliced nice and thin, which worked well with the onions and pepperoni. Great for a more filling bite. Sicilian: fluffy, savory bread with a crazy thick layer of cheese. That's it: just bread, sauce, and cheese, which made for a pretty heavy slice. Flying back across the country but I left my heart at Joe's. Yum

Yelp
DISCLAIMER: Came at 1:45AM a Monday night/Tuesday morning. Walked in when they were cleaning up since they close at 2AM BUT they were still super friendly and nicely directed me that they were still open! I specifically got a slice of cheese because that's the most basic and staple pizza slice to get. I LOVE how the slice is thin and crunchy with a nice amount of cheese and sauce. I wish I added some parmesan and chili flakes but as they were cleaning I didn't want to hassle them. A solid slice, I say 8/10! There was something missing but maybe it was because I needed the parmesan and chili flakes. The crust could've been a little crunchier but that's subjective. There is some seating inside but I'm sure during the day this place is packed. It was very clean and even though I was getting in the way of their cleaning, the staff was extremely nice and servicing especially for the end of the night! Overall 8/10! The store was clean and cute! Workers were extremely friendly and hospitable. The food was great! Can't wait to try different slices next time.
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
Wow, another NYC import in the Harvard Square area! Love it! Price is the same, $4 for a slice. However, I think a pie is a little more expensive at $29 (compared at $26). Plenty indoor seating, no outdoor seating due to location position. Very bright and plenty of windows. Just opened and check it out!

Yelp
My first Joe's Pizza experience did not disappoint! I've always wanted to try the original location in New York, but haven't gotten the chance to (so my review is solely based on this location). Joes makes really great, simple pizza. Don't expect to get a pizza with loads of toppings, overly saucey, etc this isn't what this place is! The selection of pizzas are standard that they've perfected and sometimes that's all you need when wanting a pizza I'm someone that never craves pizza so Joe's was exactly what I wanted bc the pizza is thin, light and crispy! Each slice ranges from $4-$6. I got the Fresh Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Supreme, and Cheese. Cheese: 4.8/5 Didn't expect the cheese to be my fav, such a good cheese pizza with it being light and crispy so good!! I do wish there was more cheese but it's personal preference Supreme: 4.5/5 Really close to 1st, loved the combination especially with the onions. Wasn't heavy on the stomach even though it had the roni and sausage Fresh Mozzarella: 3.5/5 this was what I was most excited for, but it wasn't as hot as the the rest of the slices so my mozzarella pulled off as I was eating it and thought it be stretchy. I liked the sweetness from the sauce though so I'm going to come back to try this again Pepperoni: 3/5 Better than other pepperoni pizzas for sure, but it was just a little more greasy compared to the others making it less crispy and a bit average
google avatar

Sonia K.

Yelp
As someone who always eats Joe's in NYC, I was pretty disappointed with this one. The taste was pretty similar so I was satisfied with it. However, there was way too much flop on the pizza and I couldn't even pick it up from the plate to eat it. The cheese also fell off very easily. It's great for if you're craving a late night pizza but I personally don't think this meets my expectations for Joe's.
google avatar

Rich L.

Yelp
Life is Short, F.....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Finally got a chance to try out Joe's Pizza in Cambridge. Went on the weekdays because to avoid the crowds. Got the white pizza and a classic cheese. Having tried Joe's Pizza in the original New York City locations I was kind of skeptical at first. Knowing that the New York water is what makes the dough on bagels and pizza different. But of course, after the first bite that this spelled by skepticism was light good undercarriage crispy same sauce as you would in New York City. Even if you haven't tried it definitely recommend.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
I was not expecting to find a Joe's in Cambridge! We were in the area for a show at the A.R.T. and wanted to grab a bite to eat before heading back to take the train back to Providence. Joe's was open late, had no line, and was a quick option. I don't think it's as good as the original Joe's in the West Village, but it really hit the spot. Crust was solid and pizza was good.
google avatar

Alee L.

Yelp
I'm chuffed they brought Joe's to Boston because it's my go to pizza joint in NYC. While this place doesn't taste exactly like the NYC Joe's it still delivers an outstanding slice of pizza. So I'll will definitely be back!
google avatar

Hubert H.

Yelp
I have to say I wasn't super impressed by this well-known and highly touted pizzeria that's arrived into Harvard Square and apparently made a huge splash. The mozarella basil pizza slice was decent, but much too thin (I guess they specialize in a thin crust?). Also the basil got sort of 'cooked; which is not good. Also got a gourmet or supreme (I forgot the exact wording) which was a mix of various types of meats and onions. Given that it's $6 per slice (what world do we live in!), I was less than impressed. Chef staff though was enthusiastic and should be commended for their speedy service during a fairly heavily populated rush hour.

Yelp
I recently learned that this place opened in Boston, Ma 7 months ago. When I go to or drive through New York City I always have to stop at a Joe's Pizza... usually the one on Fulton St. I live in Fall River so that's a 3 hour ride. They've got some of the best NY style pizza in my opinion. The toppings are simple yet delicious and the crust is crispy and light and just perfectly cooked. You can order by the slice or order a whole big pie. This new location in Boston definitely did not disappoint, the employees were pleasant, patient and helpful to all of the people walking in, some you could tell it was their first time. The pizza tasted just like the Joe's in NY and it's 2 hours closer. I was told that they are looking to open another location in Ma. I hope they open many more across the state... it would be nice to have a Joe's close to home.
google avatar

Olivia A.

Yelp
Joes has delicious pizza and they are open late. I just got two slices of cheese pizza and they tasted like a piece of new york. It was thin, crispy and amazing. The service was quick but there were also not that many people in the store. I would definitely come here again because it's quick, easy and tasty.
google avatar

Wonwoo L.

Yelp
Always heard about Joe's... went there after a night out and it was delicious food. About $4-6 per slice and the crust was solid. Quick service - flew through the line.
google avatar

Haz A.

Yelp
Cheese pie is on point. I'm not into doughy pizza so this was great for me. Recommend 10/10
google avatar

Nat A.

Yelp
Fresh garlic spinach and white cheese pizza was orgasmic! Generous slice. No aides sold here just pizza and full salads. Nothing else to add about their food. Staff was friendly. Widow seats. A tad bit warm inside from the ovens. Restrooms were well used. Great location across from the Harvard station. I'd def return.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Cozi Delizioso!! This is the best pizza. Salty, cheesy, saucy.... What more could you want? Oh yeah, crispy, crusty, and just so good. Traditional NY pizza with a thin crispy cracker like crust. The place is smaller inside and littered with pictures of the many many many celebs that have come to feast on Joes slices. There is a Place in California with the same concept called Pizza My Heart. Great but not Joes. They pre make the pizzas and you choose what you want and then they heat it up To gooey perfection for you. Of course you can order whole fresh made pizzas too. Thanks Joe for the delicious pizza.
google avatar

Adam R.

Yelp
It's an average NYC slice. Thin and crispy like I love but the tomato sauce isn't that robust and the cheese doesn't have the most flavor. Like I said it good, but nothing special.
google avatar

Leslie C.

Yelp
I'm a New Yorker! This is the real deal! Thin crust, great gooey cheese and perfect sauce. Very limited seating. athe salad was big and tasty! Service was quick and friendly. Best pizza in the boston area!!
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
I'm from NY - Central NY, and NY Pizza is advertised everywhere. But it wasn't until the late '70s that I discovered what I consider authentic NY Pizza, and that was at Joe's in NYC! So I was excited to see Joe's coming to my new haunts in Harvard Square and the place did not disappoint. My first order was a large Supreme. I found it hard to find what is on a "Supreme", so I am not sure if it is always the same, but for us it included sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and sliced red onions. The crust was nicely charred as only a very hot oven can do. I walked in at about 6 pm, there was a line, but I ordered in less than 5 minutes and was taking our pizza out in 20. While waiting I noticed that more than half of the orders were for the giant slices, the Caprese seemingly the favorite. We have a new go to Pizza place and can't wait until our next order.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
A native NYer here. I have had pizza from the original Carmine St pizzaria. Best pizza in the Boston area, IMHO. Theguys are great to interact with, they really look like they love cooking pies!

Yelp
I was at Harvard university and saw Joe's and read yelp reviews. Figured to try a slice to see how NY based pizza stands up to Boston Pizzeria Regina... Well, prime real estate and rent spot on corner next to Harvard Coop... 4 bucks a cheese slice very fair for size under inflation and Harvard student prices. Pizza was excellent thin firm crust and I'd say close to Regina's crust but still would buy Regina if it was next door... surprisingly no Regina spot in Harvard Square? Quick, good, fair, and I'll buy again next time walking there.
