Google
I was pretty skeptical about American-style pizza. I thought it would be greasy, the dough would be bland, and I wouldn’t even finish half a slice. But oh my god, I was so wrong! I’ve tried a lot of pizza in different countries, and this one is honestly one of the best. I’m not sure if it varies across different locations of this chain, but this particular spot in Brooklyn was absolutely delicious. Plus, the staff was super sweet. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
The sauce on this pizza was so delicious! and the crust was incredible! Absolutely lives up to it’s reputation! Really cool place with a lot of history behind. Can’t wait to be back!

Rebecca Drum

Google
Don’t know if I’ve spent too much time in Italy, but thought this was pretty mid. Really quick service and was nice to enjoy in the sun on the benches outside. Size of the slice was pretty good too, we shared one between two. Crust was really dry, could’ve done with some garlic sauce or something to get through it.

Google
Vegetarian pizza was great! We got a whole pie and it was more than enough for three of us. You cannot go wrong with Joe’s Pizza 🍕

Google
The pizzas here are great, the pie is so thin. Service is friendly, glad I got to try Joe’s. This store doesn’t have the crazy lines like the one in Time Square.

Google
Pretty solid NY slice experience if that’s what you’re looking for. I think you can find better pizza in NY, but this is a great quick option and doesn’t disappoint.

Sam Gerard

Google
it’s true, joe’s is the best slice. idk if i can say in all of manhattan but certainly anywhere downtown/westside/ in that area and all neighborhoods surrounding it. if you want a full pie, john’s is the winner, but joe’s is absolutely the next best option for slices. if i’m having a bad day, i go get a plain slice from joe’s… it’s delicious. also, the guys that work there are the best & i love how they’ve been working there for as long as i can remember (most of them at least). if this location ever closes I will leave the city in opposition haha avoid a line by avoiding fridays and saturdays at prime times - regardless, they’re quick & if there’s a line, it moves fast.

Google
Just stopped by the Williamsburg outpost for a quick slice. But wow - it was a great classic epic NY slice.

Yelp
Joe's Pizza hits the spot whenever I'm craving for pizza. They're opened until 5am and are constantly rolling out fresh pies. There aren't any seating inside but you can stand and eat inside. Service is quick! My friends and I always stop by for a pizza or two after a night of hanging out in Williamsburg. I've only tried cheese and pepperoni pizzas and enjoyed both. I believe they're known for their pepperoni slices; the pepperonis can get a little salty. I took my friends that were visiting from out of town to Joe's Pizza and now they're a fan! Good pizza, affordable price and minimal line at this location!

Yelp
TL;DR: It's Joe's. Trust. You're hungry. Grab a slice. It's always worth it. Cheers, Joe's!
google avatar

Yelp
No honest NY'er can actually enjoy the pizza at this spot can they? Maybe it's cause this Joe's is in a good location (especially for tourists) and the name has a history to it? Quite possibly the worst Sicilian slice I've ever had. The cheese is thick and the crust is bland. Not authentic at all. The sauce was ok. I had bad stomach pains afterwards :( I've had the regular slice a few times, which is decent and why I'm giving 2 stars. You're better off walking a few extra blocks to much better pizza in the area. Also, the celebrity pictures that seem to fascinate everyone are not for visits to this location. As with any chain, some are better than others and this one ain't it.

Yelp
After a late night out in Williamsburg we got a slice from Joe's. First time at this location but happy to say it's the same quality slice. Always hits the spot!
google avatar

Yelp
- great for late night eats - long lines but it moves fast - roughly $3-5 per slice - since there's so many people, the pizzas turnover fast and slices are always fresh As opposed to slices that look like they have been sitting there all day - I think it's cash only, but don't quote me on that

Yelp
Just got around to trying Joe's pizza after living in the city for 5 years. It was quick to order here even though there's usually a line out the door. Limited seating and you'll likely stand while eating your pizza at the counter. The pizza has the right amount of crunch to it - a crispy bottom and soft topping. The white pizza is very tasty, I like the amount of ricotta on the slice. The classic sauce, however, is sweet, which I personally do not like. I don't think that Joe's lived up to the hype for me, compared to the numerous other pizzas I've tried in the city.

Yelp
Stopped in for quick slice Friday night after visiting a friend. Dont get what people find so good about the place. The sauce and cheese were tasteless. Nothing to me gave any sense of flavor and it was an average slice at best. Extremely thin but not floppy. If it was late and I was hungry I might come Back only cause they are open late otherwise would be a hard pass.
google avatar

Landon C.

Yelp
Just a NY classic. Always so easy and convenient. The team is so quick and get you in and out! Perfect amount of oily, tasty, and thin crust. Will always come back

Yelp
Not many places have a decent slice along with offering mexican coke, but this place has it and it's quick. My favorite drink to go with ny slice is a cold mexican coke. It's the ultimate combo, simply delicious. I have this theory that if a pizza spot has mexican coke, I can trust that their pizza is dang good. Maybe the fact that they understand mexican coke is superior to american coca cola and the fact that they go through the extra effort to import a drink means they care about quality? maybe, or maybe I just want all good pizza places to offer mexican coke. The pizzas had the right amount of crispiness and want I imagine a ny slice is like. I like how the employees are nice here and there are framed pictures that represent Joe's Pizza's history on the walls. I believe they charge you less here if you pay with cash so do that if you can.

Yelp
Such a great place! I'm so glad I stopped in. I was looking for pizza in the area, hadn't been to Joe's and stopped by this location. There was a line out the door, but it moved quickly. There were pizzas ready to go, slices, drinks, etc. We grabbed three slices and they quickly heated them. There is counter space inside, and there are two covered outdoor eating areas with stools. I'd highly recommend this spot for a great slice. I had the spinach pie. It was delicious and fresh. The crust was crispy and made to perfection. I can't wait to stop back here again soon.

Yelp
Joe's Pizza is a classic for NYC slices. We had some relatives visiting who wanted to try NY pizza so of course I had to bring them to Joe's. It's a great spot to get pizza that won't disappoint. The crust is thin, has just the right amount of sauce and cheese, and holds up perfectly with the fold. Service is quick and easy and you can enjoy it inside at their counters or take it to go. Definitely a staple in NY for pizza.

Yelp
Definitely have always passed by this pizzeria whenever walking to Whole Foods. On the way back to the L train, I decide to head inside this time around in the rainy weather. It's a well-lit, little place that seems like it has many customers stopping by. Have always been a fan of bigger-than-my-face kind of pizza. So, of course I'd order two slices. The menu is simple and straightforward. Taped on the wall behind the staff. You wait for your turn in line and inform the staff which slice(s) do you want. I got one cheese slice ($4) and one slice with topping (4.75) for a total of $8.75. They accept cash and credit/debit card but I end up paying with cash. The staff is super friendly and service is very fast. These slices got a crispier crunch from the crust to the in between, so much more worthwhile than the last one I've been to which is definitely the highlight of this visit. They have also withstand the crunchiness while I take bite after bite of the first slice. Yesssss! Can't stand when a slice turns into a soggy messy just because there're lots of toppings piled up in the middle and therefore falls through shortly. Heard a girl asked for a (free) cup of tap water, so I did exactly the same as well. Got a cup of cold tap water which tastes refreshing after adding too much red pepper flakes to both of my slices. By the way, there're containers of different spices/seasonings on the counter in which you can pour on your slices after getting your order. As you can see, there're many photos displaying celebrities or famous people in general who've visited Joe's Pizza in the past. Additionally, they've won multiple Zagat awards over the years which are hanging proudly on the wall right next to where I'm standing. They've either a few standing room spots inside the pizzeria or round bar tables with uneven bar stools in the seating area outside. Lastly, I think most of these pizzerias should start having more automatic hand sanitizer dispensers for customers to have better access to cleanliness like cleaner hands and cleaner fingers. I'm glad to see this location has just what I'm talking about. There's no public restroom for customers though. Oh and one more thing, they are opened until pretty late (3am or 5am) on some days so please double check their business hours.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Simply classic. A good slice at a good price. Flavors may be enhanced while intoxicated. Great after a late night out. Service: 4/5 Quick and easy. Pick your slice and pay the price. Atmosphere: 4/5 Standing room only, more so grab and go are stand and eat quickly. East to do with this pizza.

Yelp
When you think of New York pizza, you automatically think of Joe's Pizza. This spot is legendary for their amazing slices, so we had to try it for ourselves. We got to Joe's around 6pm and there was a small line to order. We ordered a pepperoni and white pizza. They quickly heated our pizzas and I think that was their misstep. While I understand the need for speedy service due to other customers, it resulted in pizzas that were disappointingly cold and soggy. I anticipated a crispy bite, but the pizza turned out floppy. After having tried other pizza spots in Williamsburg this one fell short. Was really unimpressed with the pizza quality and would probably skip this next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Jesse Y.

Yelp
This pizza is exactly what New York is all about. Thin with perfect balance of cheese to sauce and that perfect crust. One could say it's the quintessential slice. Every location including this is all day fast paced.
google avatar

Steven I.

Yelp
I had a couple great slices! Really liked the Sicilian slice I had. I asked for it to be not too hot and usually in most places that is ignored but they got it the perfect temperature. I loved the wall of all the famous celebrities who have come in to try. They were quick to serve me despite a lot of people hovering around to order. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Stumbled across a joes pizza in Brooklyn while I was here in nyc for a short trip and finally got to try it! There was no line when I got here at around 11am on a Monday. I came in and asked what the most popular slice was and the cashier asked me if it was my first time here, I responded with yes and he recommended cheese. I got the cheese and it was delicious! The pizza was hot, the crust was thin and crispy and the pizza sauce was sweet and flavorful. A very solid slice of pizza. I would come back to try other flavors.
google avatar

Kimberly V.

Yelp
Good pizza. Same as the one in Greenwich. Crispy crust, cheesy. Small place. Quick service. You can only stand up and eat inside but they have outdoor seating around the building. It was good. I would recommend if you're passing by. I would rate it 6.9 out of 10.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Came here for a NY slice and got a terrific NY slice!! Apparently, this is a popular pizza joint that locals and celebrities flock to. I got a slice of pepperoni, sausage, and onion. The pizza is thin but not wet and flimsy and the crust is the kind that you finish! I can say that this was a great pizza experience and something I will be thinking about for a long, long time.

Michael B.

Yelp
My daughter tipped me off to the fact that Joe's in Williamsburg was not the same. They did something with the crust? maybe. I don't know but it is not the same and nothing like the Joe's in the West Village.
google avatar

Bryan S.

Yelp
Freaking awesome New York pizza! So glad myself and friends dropped in at 1:00am on a Sunday. We were thrilled they were open late and we didn't have to deal with the lines. Plus got to sit by the wall and look over all the photos of famous people who also love Joe's.
google avatar

Ryan Y.

Yelp
Sucks to say but Joe's Pizza is not as good as it used to be. I ordered a plain slice ($4) and overall, it is just average. The dough has a nice crunch and chew, but the sauce is a little on the sweet side. I agree with other people, who say that there are many other great options out there.
google avatar

Janice H.

Yelp
Reliable spot for a quick, affordable, late night bite. The lines look long but they move fast because the workers keep it pushing - so you better know your order! Got greeted with a smile by the cashier. Hand sanitizer, plenty of outdoor seats, and seasonings at the joint. Cash or card works. Got a big white slice and it was piping hot. Most likely you'll be getting a slice that just came out the oven minutes ago. The cheese was caramelized at the top and the crust was super crispy. A drizzle of Mike's hot honey would've sealed the deal! But that would probably cause a mess with a drunk customer and all the rush so I understand lol.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
If you want good pizza, go there. Do NOT order it for delivery. It could be DoorDash - which is its own legitimately terrible monster, but about half of the time at least, there is an issue with the food. Burnt, stale, poor toppings, undercooked and soggy - they work hard to ensure an awful experience and make you regret listening to the siren song of actually maybe getting good pizza. Don't be a Charlie Brown - ignore Lucy when she holds out this football. Anytime you have to guarantee you'll bring the ruined pizza back for the people who made it to watch them eat it, it's a fail all the way around. Or, make the trip to Carmine Street Bedford or 14th - it's worth the hassle rather the alternative.

Yelp
The pizza in NYC or let's just say the US hands down. I've traveled and had pizza in other cities and nothing compares to a slice or two or let's be honest three of pizza from Joes! Love the feel of this place, the staff is always upbeat and quick with the service of a hot slice of pizza within minutes of you ordering. There's a great selection but I must say the cheese pizza is my go to and it never disappoints! Also reasonable in price and there's a back counter where you can eat and or some outdoor seating . Also love all the celebrity photos on the wall . My go to late nite or anytime I get a chance and if you haven't gone to Joes let's just say you haven't had the best pizza in the world! See you guys soon !
google avatar

Phylicia H.

Yelp
Came back a year later and this place is still the spot!! Friendly service and amazing flavor. This place is a must and worth the wait no matter how long the line is!
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Had Joe's pizza delivered at an event and was a bit disappointed. So many great pizza places in the city, and this was definitely not one of my favorites
google avatar

Ruby C.

Yelp
My very first pizza in NYC (not counting the Costco pizza) The thin and crispy crust redefines my impression on pizza - the middle of the dough is soft in cheesy texture, and the bottom isn't excessively oily. Pepperoni pizza is a staple for me - I love how smoky and spicy it is There are only standing tables available in the Williamsburg branch, so I chose the outdoor dining area. I spent some time to take a "decent" shot so the pizzas cooled down a bit. Pretty sure it tastes even better if you eat right after it's being toasted. My Recommendations Pepperoni pizza for sure! Worth Returning ? Yes (I might try more different pizzerias before returning tho)

Yelp
It's springtime in New York and it's honestly the best feeling! The energy in the city is at an all time high with temperatures reaching 70-80 degrees this week. Sitting outside of Joe's pizza, enjoying a slice, people watching while I listen to a mix was the ending to a great day that I didn't even know that I needed. I popped in really quick for a slice because I was hungry and didn't want to commit to a big meal. Joe's pizza wasn't too busy and the employees had a nice flow to get everyone in and out quickly. I think I was in and out in about 4 mins. There's seating inside, in the outdoor patio and a little bench in front of the restaurant. I know their pizza is typically good but today I got a not so great pie. The crust was super crispy, tough and chewy. Now listen I loveee the crust and the fact that I tossed this one because my gums would've hated me if I continued says something. Hoping that the crust is better during my next visit. Other than that this is def a great go-to spot to grab a quick bite and keep it pushing. Enjoy the warm weather cool kids! Where are some of your favorite slices?

Yelp
My friend who gets ALL the girls, had finally struck out on a Saturday night. We were all in shock. He tapped out and instructed us to walk to Joe's, to really soak in defeat. We stumbled into the back of a long line at 3am. Well not long but a longer line than you'd expect at 3am. Right when all hope seemed lost, this beautiful Middle Eastern girl walks in line behind us. "How was your night?" He says with a disarming smile. "No f***ing way" I say to myself. I sh*t you not, before this man even gets his pizza they were kissing on the mouth, her hanging on his every word. No more than 5 minutes. Once they got their food, they went outside and sat together, talking the night away between bites of crispy but not burnt pepperoni slices. They talked about everything from childhood traumas to future plans. I think they are going on date 5 or 6 this week. I will keep y'all updated. A truly beautiful night, made possible by Joe's Pizza.
google avatar

Joey T.

Yelp
Stopped here as my first meal while visiting NYC from Cali after walking around for 5 miles... saw a man passed out in the front with Fire Department and EMTs and thought to myself.... "So this is typical NYC..." it was quick and easy getting 3 slices and saw many people going in and out around 10PM... pizza was good and I got it with a Mexican Imported coke... took a seat outside and enjoyed it while watching the man suddenly wake up and start walking away... only thing I didn't know where to throw away the pizza box so I shoved it into the 85% full trash can inside
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Food is delicious! Have been coming here for the past 3 years and love it. Staff is so friendly. Once I forgot my wallet and they ran to give it to me. They accept both cash and credit
google avatar

Liz N.

Yelp
Joe's is a strong contender for a solid slice in NY. I got a slice of the fresh mozz. It didn't disappoint! Joe's was pretty tasty. I got the fresh mozz. The sauce was good but slightly sweet. The crust wasn't too hard. Nice thin pizza that held the toppings up. No frills pizza spot. I would like to come back to try their other slices, but the fresh mozz slaps! Employees were quick to get you your slice and get you on your way.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
I just flew in from California and so late night pizza options were limited. Joe's sure tasted great after a few weeks without pizza. You can't go wrong with this location. 5.50 for supreme slice. Next time I will just order a whole pizza and bring it back for breakfast.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Perfect drunk pizza with a couple places to stand inside. No need to deliberate just go!
google avatar

Albert H.

Yelp
Consistency is key and Joe's in the WBurg provides just that. Whenever I'm in the area and need to grab a quick slice I will definitely stop by this location. They are quick and efficient with the service and the pizza comes out nice and hot. They will box it up for you if you need to go and they have an indoor seat as well as a few outdoor bar stools and tables if you want to eat it fresh.
google avatar

Wen D.

Yelp
So i never heard of Joe's Pizza. This one on Bedford is my only reference. But i order a pie from Bedford ave and the crust is almost non existent. I'm not Italian by blood or trade. Thin crust pizza is just, better than what you get in public school. That's it. The crust is so thin it has an after taste of the oven it was cooked in. And i have only ordered pies via delivery. It's a love/hate relationship about the after taste on the bottom of the pie but also, remarkable. Precisely timed. Holds together even with toppings. I like pizza and Joe's aint my favorite. But dam bro...
google avatar

Jack H.

Yelp
Joe's Pizza is a New York City classic that needs very little review. It is classic New York City pizza, and perhaps one of the best representatives of it. But the Joes on Manhattan have such long lines. Not the case here. This is a fairly average pizza shop with standing room only, and usually not much of a line. If you're visiting Joe's, might as well go here.
google avatar

Harry X.

Yelp
How have I not yet reviewed Joe's? That New York stalwart, refuge for the drunk, hungry, and weary, yearning for carbs and grease in the godforsaken wee hours of the morning? What more is there to write that hasn't already been written? I wouldn't call Joe's the best pizza in town, but it's very good, and it's reliably good. This is textbook NY pizza- thin crispy crust, solid undercarriage, structural integrity, balanced sauce, the right amount of cheese and grease. And they're open late, with several locations across the city that are fairly consistent in quality. You really can't go wrong. The plain slice is great, the pep is solid. If you're feeling hungrier, I like their combo too when it's available. Before you know it, you're 6 slices in and you realize that you should have just ordered a whole pizza. Ok that last part may just be me. I love NYC. I love Joe's.
google avatar

Jen E.

Yelp
This place has always been a fav, they hit the spot at whatever hour. I remember coming here at 2am after a party and theyve been reliable every single time. If youre into thin crusted pizza even with a ton of toppings, then look no further than Joe's Pizza. No frills place where they take your order and you pay as they pop your slice in the oven. After a few minutes, you get your pippin hot pizza to chow down either by the window or in their outdoor wood box
google avatar

Cliff S.

Yelp
It's so hard to find the right NY slice of pizza for yourself in NY. With so many choices, it's tough to decide. A certain someone told me about Joes and I had no idea that it was a chain. Decent pizza and quick time to get it out. It was really really good! being from CA we don't have pizza like this so it's hard to judge, but it was damn good for the timing and typically, timing is everything... right??
google avatar

JiHae L.

Yelp
I haven't had Joe's pizza in so long and since I hardly go to the city had to try it here. Once I saw this iconic place right in front of my face, no question about it. It was a typical pizza joint with no frills and just a hole in the wall. Well a huge hole in the wall. A slice is $3.50 which is similar to the other pizzerias in the area. Regarding the pizza, it wasn't anything spectacular. However, it wasn't horrible either. It was average. But if you saw the lines and people eating outside, across the street and inside it was like this was what you had to eat!! They're opened pretty late and won't run out of pizza either. Bring some wipes and you're done!
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
Came here for part dos of a Brooklyn pizza crawl and it did not disappoint! Pizza slices came out in a hefty portioned triangle, and the tomato sauce on that was immaculate. Really hit the spot for a classic NY-style pizza, with no flop and all the smoke on a nice winter day. P.S. they don't got margarita pizza my friend got embarrassed just asking bout it
google avatar

Jae P.

Yelp
Visited on a Monday afternoon for these pizzas. This perhaps is one of my most favorite pizza place in williamsburg. It's located near the subway station and surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops. The place is very easy to go in and out. They take both cash and credit cards. Inside there are some standing tables and there are some outdoor seating tables. Tables are first come first serve. No reservation.. If order is to-go, make sure to tell the cashier, so they can box your pizza. Otherwise, they will put pizzas on a paper plate. Pizza is pretty fresh, thin sliced. Portion of the slice is huge. 2 slice will get a average size man pretty full. Crusty on bottom and toppings are pretty awesome. This is pretty typical "good" NY pizza you can find in a neighborhood.
google avatar

Cam S.

Yelp
Probably the best balanced pizza that I've ever had. No heartburn just great flavor. Staff was nice and quick. It's a walk in and go kind of location but we were able to grab a spot by the window to eat before continuing my walk. Would definitely recommend.
google avatar

KC C.

Yelp
Everyone likes their pizza a certain way and Joe's is just perfect for me. Thin crust, but sturdy. Not too light on the cheese, but not too much. Toppings were just perfect and not overloaded. I only had the opportunity to try one pizza place on our trip, but I have to say I made the perfect choice. Joe's did not disappoint. Three pizzas cost us about $15 and we were full till dinner. Service was fast, even though there were lots waiting for their order. There's only standing room to eat but really. you don't need to sit. Can prob just eat on the go, but we got lucky and found a small space for two. Would def recommend this place.
google avatar

Lorianne W.

Yelp
There was a line that wrapped around the block late at night. I decided not to try it. Came back a few days later and underwhelmed ordered a slice to stay. This slice was flipping cold. So disappointing. This place is known for their pizza and sadly they sell cold ok tasting pizza. Not impressed and won't be back.
google avatar

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
1/5 star cheese slice. I absolutely cannot believe my experience. Burnt crust. Long lines. Crazy prices. For absolutely burnt pizza!!! There's obviously a lot of pizza places that toast their crust but jeeez it was literally breaking off in my hands. At over $5 per slice, this is a total chain pizza experience. Do not go.
google avatar

Yelp
Our first stop for food in the city was at Joe's Pizza. It popped up on Yelp and we knew we wanted some pizza while in town of course. They have a credit card minimum so bring some cash if you're only getting a slice or two. Nate and I got one slice of mozzarella to split since we knew we'd be eating a lot on this visit. I liked that they put the slice into the oven for a second to heat it up. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking, but tasted really fresh. The mozzarella was tasty. The slice was a generous size for a snack to share, but if I wanted a meal here I'd probably get a couple slices by myself. Really thin crust means you can eat more slices, it's science. There was no indoor dining when we were there in November 2021 but they had cocktail tables outside near the curb that you could eat at. Or just fold your slice up and take it on the go!
