Joey's Red Hots

Walked in for a quick bite. Took a look at there menu and decided to get a corn dog ,small fries and Mac and cheese bites. Service was efficient. Ate my order in the restaurant. Enjoyed my order. Corn dog was good. The Mac and cheese bites delivered. Fries were good too.

This was the worst gyro that I have ever had. It didn't taste like gyro meat, there was no lettuce and the tazyka sauce taste like pure sour cream. The fries were room temperature by the time I was down the street which means they weren't hot to begin with. Horrible experience.

After our walk, we popped into Joey's for a cool icee and some yummy mozzarella sticks. The staff was super friendly, and we enjoyed sitting in the lovely outdoor dining area. It was the perfect way to relax and refuel after our stroll.

Hot fresh and doesn’t cost an arm & leg like most places. I will say the watermelon Italian ice taste really artificial. To me it taste like watermelon laffy taffy instead of fresh watermelon not my cup of tea

I ordered my food through GrubHub; my hotdog had hair inside of it when they bit into my hotdog. I've been ordering from Joey's Red Hots for years.

It kills me if you run a hotdog stand and don't sell hotdogs. They only sell hotdogs with fries... So not a good spot for the family or a baseball team. Dogs are good but their fries are unsalted frozen throw away trash.

What I look for in a fast food place is consistency…Joey’s of Morgan Park always seems to deliver. Staff is friendly, food is prepared fresh, but promptly. The cooks always gladly make my mom an off menu item. It really makes her day…Also, ownership has done a kind gesture for me recently. I’m ride or die for Joey’s. Check it out! For the future, it would be SO bad a$$ to have a summer party and have a Joey’s truck pull up for fun and late night snacks.

It was joyful here. They had open bathrooms. Outstanding food and great service. It makes me happy to write this review. By the time I was leaving, the cafe was nearly full, so my pictures are limited, but it is definitely worth a visit. See you there.

I always eat at Joey's after school. Very filling and polite, great food, quick and easy spot. Clean food always a pleasant trip.

The fried mushrooms were great! The dipping ranch for them was NOT. It literally tasted like blue cheese without the blue cheese. The bun was toasted or stale on all the hotdogs I got. I ordered via uber eats. I ordered the 3 dogs option. The chili cheese dog wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The chili was good but overall the flavors just didn't tie together because the cheese is like a tasteless thick matter. It's a no. Then I had the traditional Chicago style dogs. Besides the stale/toasted bun, everything was there but the pickles are sort of sweet which is a no! There was no celery salt. Yall need better condiments!!! Won't order again. And three dogs with no fries is awful.

I was surprised when I drove up on a Friday night before the Super Bowl and two cars were in the parking lot. My order was ready and the fries were already cold before I got them in the car. My tamale and hamburgers, I microwaved. But my disappointment of all is my Italian Beef on Garlic bread, with an Extra Beef. When did they change!!??? That was the BEST part of ordering the extra meat was the overly stuffed little sandwich. I am so disappointed with the drizzle of mozzarella cheese and a half soggy piece of bread. My childhood memory is gone. No worries I won't order it again. Nope! I guess new management. There was a time when you could barely get in the parking lot. This presentation is probably why no one was inside. The good ole days!

Sometimes its intimidating arriving when the parking lot is full and the order line inside is long. But they usually knock out the orders in a timely fashion. I had not ordered the Gyro in a long time and felt it was overdue. I am so glad I did! The amount of meat was massive and unable to be consumed. It was also fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered extra sauce and wasn't charged extra for it. Always my go to safe place at the last minute. And this is the Orland Park location not Orland Hills.

My partner and I came here on Wednesday May 29th for a quick bite to eat. We ordered a polish with French fries. The polish was made Chicago style with a poppy seed bun, and they were generous with the toppings. The polish sausage itself was cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We took our order to go, and they wrapped it nicely with foil. It's also our first time coming here, and we are looking forward to coming back to try other items on their menu. There's plenty of free parking on premise, but it can be a bit awkward to get into the lot when cars are parked by the entrance. Other than that, I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for fast food. They also have several other locations in the Chicagoland area.

Don't do the burgers! Not good! The fries are great. Service timely. Atmosphere adequate. For this diner, it would not be my first go to.

Just meh. this place doesn't cease to disappoint me. There are way better options just a mile north. Go to Nicky's at 105/western or Buona where you will get better food.

Had a cheeseburger at Sandburg Colts game. The absolute worst sloppy mess I've ever had. It was like frozen market day. The bun was flat and the ketchup mustard made it runny. Have some pride, do better. Literally the worst "cheeseburger" I've ever had in my life.

Make the fries crispy and cook the gyro meat well! I guess I need to speak Spanish. Just a crappy meal and if you close at 10 why are all the chairs up at 830? Not a place to sit and eat. I'm done

Had your pizza recently Very good would rate it up there with some of the original south side pizza places like Little Joes on 63rd st and Vito and Nicks on Pulaski and the original Home Run In across the street from the park

Joey's has a nice variety of food items that I've tried and all are really good and even better than other establishments offering the same items. Especially good are the Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches! They also come in chicken which I haven't tried yet because I'm addicted to the steak ones, which I get without mayo to save calories. I really missed Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches after leaving Philadelphia but Joey's are the real deal!

Joey's will give you the feels of an authentic hot dog establishment. The photos on the wall are classic old Chicago (you won't see any diversity... but that's pretty accurate considering the chains began in Bridgeport). The food was flavorful... the veggie hot dog was delicious, although I haven't tried many in my life. The famous chicken Philly was hot, fresh, and simply wonderful! Their menu provides a lot of options. The Italian ice was fabulous! My kids and I are in the car because it didn't look like much cleaning occurs on a regular basis in the eating areas... but there are constant customers coming in. The service would be my lowest rating. The young lady who took my order and the orders I witnessed wasn't the most pleasant, but she was quick with the orders. There are public restrooms. Parking lot with lots of space. Overall, three stars. I would give my food 4.5, but the service and the fact they pretty much forgot my second order (we went back for a shake and the Italian ice after our food). It's worth a try, but if the lady taking your order isn't pleasant, please look beyond her and enjoy the meal! Sometimes people have a bad day.

Have been to the one in Beverly many times but tonight was terrible! I ordered a breaded steak sandwich and it was VERY overcooked and rock hard! I would have taken it back but didn't feel like the bother! Not worth the money I spent. This was on Wednesday October 2. Not a good experience!

Ordered online, of course order was incorrect. Tried to call for manager Maribel, who hung up on me numerous times. Asked for owner to call me back ; still waiting. Would NOT ever recommend this place. 2 weeks ago the kid dropped my sandwich on the floor, proceeded to bag it and hand it to me. ​

Sometimes you just want a good hot dog. I had been craving a classic all beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun with mustard, relish, and hot peppers. That's how I like it and that's what I got. NO ketchup people. Lol. Once again, Joey's delivered.

1st time here, the prices are great, small place that was pretty busy. But I'm disturbed by the fact that I was asked if I'm paying cash or card, I paid cash, and was still charged a processing fee! Grant it, it's only 26 cents, but let's say 100 cash customers are charged this, that's a free $26 that' they're getting (and this is only based off of my total,) they charge 3.99% of your preTax total. Can't really mess up a chili cheese dog, it was tasty as was the shake. The fries were soggy and cold.

I 100% recommend Joey's Catering Service! I had a party for 60 people and ordered a variety of foods. Everything was delicious and people complimented the food all evening. Great service, great food, great prices!

Look, joeys is a staple! I moved to illinois from the east coast last year and we'll well well looky looky, joeys on western! The chicken Philly, the reg philly, their Chicago dog... all worthy of any delivery fee! Or just go pick it up yourself whatever! And if you do the staff is always so great, it's run super efficient but with service at heart! Love Joeys! Muah!

Walked in didn't Greet me. The two girls were just talking and I had to say hello first. Her body language acts like she don't want to be there. Got a Italian beef ppl Philly cheese steak. Which comes with mushrooms green peppers and cheese. I asked if I could have mushrooms in place of the cheese and green peppers. She said we don't do that it's like $1.50 more. That irritated me because they could've substituted what I didn't want for what I did.

I've visited Joeys several times this year, and the majority of the visits have been great. I love the hot dogs and fries and the gyro with fries. Joey's Serves a very large amount of food for a cheap price so their food is a great deal. The food is cooked fresh, but there is a long wait, so I recommend that you order ahead on the phone. I would have given Joeys 5 stars, but unfortunately you just messed my order up this weekend. I attempted to call Joeys on Saturday night on October 9th 2021 at 6:30 to place an order, but your phone number with disconnected! When drove to the restaurant the first thing I noticed is that your young staff were not wearing face masks! Your employees should not be working around food without a mask! It's ironic that they remembered to put ear buds in to listen to music, but couldn't remember their protective gear. Secondly, my gyro meat was sliced too thick and it was chewy! Major turn off. Thirdly, we ordered and paid for 4 extra Pita breads that we did not receive! Sadly, we could not call and complain because your phone was disconnected. Pay your phone bill Joey's!!!!! Maybe you should hire a more mature staff and train them properly. Get it together Joey's!!!!

I was throughly disappointed in the Chicken Philly and Chicken Pita I ordered - the Chicken Philly was dry, the cheese was not completely melted and it only had onions on it - it was NOT a Chicken Philly it was a chicken and onion sandwich and the Chicken Pita was dry and had.no Tzatziki sauce. I will not patronize this establishment again.

First time visiting and was craving a gyros. It was fair. I ordered the gyro plate. They do give you plenty but it was dried out and somewhat flavorless. The meat was in small pieces like it was shoveled from a griddle and not shaved. Great fries and plenty of those too. One thing that really put me off was a 40 cent charge for using my debit card. I don't patronize businesses that do these cheap tactics to their customers so between that and the mediocre food, I can say I'll never go back. Too many other places in town to get a decent gyros.

Definitely one of the better spots to eat if your in the area. What you would expect from a,"Hot dog stand", type of place.

Sorry Joey's, but thought I'd give your wings one more chance and it was a bad choice. Your hot dogs are delicious but I just got over done fried crusty skin on chicken bones. The meat from all the wings probably amounted to what you would find on one regular sized drumstick. #stillhungry

First time here, and very shocked on these amazing prices. The gyro platter cost $7.99 and it's amazing how much food comes! 2 people can eat of one plate! The gyros were not super greasy and tasted amazing! I will have to come back and try other items but I have never seen a gyro platter this cheap, this tasty and this much amount of food in my life! I will deff keep coming back! Only thing I didn't like is that they put olives on it but you can't easily take them out. Amazing deal!

Price is probably the biggest thing going for Joey's, it is very fair. The food is alright, nothing to get super excited over. Ever since the fries went from shoestring to crinkle cut I feel like everything I order has gone down hill in quality. Service is completely fine in my experience but the food is not great. The fries now taste a lot like oil that's gone bad, and the burger buns seem to always be so wet that the center becomes a paste. I don't know about anyone else but that mushy texture makes me gag. Overall it's mediocre. If you're eyes are bigger than your stomach, bear in mind that a little bit of food here goes a long way, so stick to small portions.

Joeys started off good. But all good things must come to an end, I guess. The fries are like cardboard now. They precook their burgers and then "steam" them when ordered. Canned mushrooms have replaced fresh in all of their menu items. The last 2 salads I've ordered had an inch of water in the bottom. A salad spinner isn't that expensive, so there isnt any excuse for this. It's hard to mess up a chicago hot dog, which is the only plus to Joeys. The extra "fee" to pay with a card vs cash is beyond stupid. I was happy to see something inhabit the spot, but it fizzled and fast. I'll spend my hard earned $$ elsewhere, where I'll get a quality product.

I tried a hot dog with fries and also a Maxwell Street pork chop sandwich based on the fact that the show , Chicagos Best recommended it. The hot dog w/fries was what I expected and the price was good. The pork chop sandwich not so much. It was thin as heck. I would be willing to give them another try maybe for gyros or something else. Fries were hot and crispy and prices were reasonable

Newly open and so far so good. I ordered a handful of everything and to my surprise I got all I ordered and nothing missing when you usually take out orders. Fries where fresh and the hot dogs were spot on. Fries comes with all sandwiches - you can't go wrong with that deal. Prices are decent also - one stop shop for all my fast food delights.

Morgan park Restaurant is horrible. I gave them several opportunities. It keeps getting worse. The only item on the menu that may be halfway decent are thier hot dogs. I wish it were better. Not many good choices for decent Gyros around here.

Was in the mood for some Chicago style hotdogs this evening and I must admit I was very disappointed in the way I received my food it seem like they slopped my food together fries where extremely cold and the way my Chicago style hot dogs where put together. I've traveled over ten miles to this place to be let down by there food the service wasn't bad but traveled over 10 miles to get here and the food wasn't all that I've had better Chicago dogs else where it will be a while before I step in to this establishment say to say this was my first experience trying this restaurant. I will think long and hard before I go here again.

Ever since Joey's opened this location I have been a fan. Very welcoming and employee's have a smile all the time. Food is amazing, especially #5 chicken Philly. I get it all the time. Sitting area is clean and restrooms equally the same.

As much I like the food here and like stopping on the way home work for a dog or two. But for a newly remodeled building, it is falling apart. Stopped in for a quick bite and it was hotter inside than being on the sun. Looked around the place and noticed that the ceiling was starting to come down. I really do not like eating outside, but had no choice due to the heat inside. Went outside to the benches to eat, they all need work. Rotting boards and paint peeling does not make for fine dining.

This place brought good food back to Beverly. The service is fast and Accurate unusual for b Many stores on Southside. Many selection and good food.

Atmosphere is extremely welcoming. Was delighted in the hotdogs with a fair price. It's a good thing they have an outdoor patio provided good ambiance even with a whole pandemic going on. Makes you feel like any typical day while providing accurate steps to keep you safe. Recommend the polish Chicago style hotdog ! will become a location I will surely visit again. First I dig this spot , this is a review of a specific item..."The Breaded Italian Steak" So NOT RIGHT! Chicago has some the best Italian steaks ever(Ricobene's and Freddie's are awesome), sadly this spot does not have one. The bread was decent, nice chew , fresh. The Cheese was good . Marinara was ...Okay. The steak was ... the breading was burnt , which was the failing of the steak. The steak it self was tender and if prepared correctly would of Been a contender. If you want a Great Gyro or a Triple cheese burger this is the spot to go! They have many other options as well just Don't go for "The Breaded Italian steak"!

This has been one of my go to places to eat when I just want some good old fashioned American food. I've explored the menu a bit. I tend to go for hotdogs and pizza puffs. Lately I've grabbed the corn dogs and gyros when I visit. It seems to be harder to find corn dogs outside of a carnival, so it's definitely a treat I like to get from time to time. It's not super healthy and it's definitely greasy, but that's expected. I don't go here to be healthy, I go here cause I'm usually craving some great fast food outside of the crappy chains. The service is always good, the people there are friendly and helpful when ordering. For some reason I often blank and have some weird order anxiety happen when it's my turn to order, but they're always patient or say the right thing to get my brain to stop farting. And they're often quick to get my food ready. Also nearly everything comes with fries, so that's nice.

First time I went here it was so good and I was so happy to have found it. And the second time I went it was disgusting and she overcharged me by a dollar. Today I decided to give it a third shot, hoping that the more recent bad experience was the fluke, and the initial good experience was the rule. Sadly that is not the case. I think it's worse today even then it was on the second visit.

Service here continues to be terrible.....long waits for your order and when orders are completed there are missing items. Please hire some competent workers.

This restaurant has good food, however I question their attention to detail, and competence when it comes to completing orders on Door Dash. Twice I have ordered food for my family after getting home from work and both time they failed to include everything that I ordered. According to the driver they didn't give him any drinks, and I ordered a six pack of Sierra Mist.

Very good Chicago Style Hot Dogs. They offer an extensive menu that include a delicious chicken gyro and an excellent Philly cheese steak. The service is fast and friendly. Best of all, they offer a Maxwell street pork chop sandwich. If you have ever had an original, this one is just as good. Delicious! I suggest ordering it with grilled onions.

I cannot say enough great things about Joey's! We hired one of their food trucks for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. They arrived early and made all the food very quickly. We had so many guests tell us that it was done if the best food they had. The booking process was easy and every staff member we worked with was great. We had a great experience and look forward to using them again in the future!

I stay right around the corner from this place I got a taco the other day it was so cold & nasty something said don't waste your money remember you said there food was horrible but nothing has changed that's why I ride to Nicky's on 104 western the food is hot tasty & delicious*

Just witnessed the cooks sweeping the floor while half cooked uncovered food was inches above the floor on the flattop shelve. Burgers where doused in oil and cooked all of 30 seconds 6 people behind the counter just hanging out texting while one person actually cooked. Never again!

Triple cheeseburger was horrible. It was too salty and mushy. The price was good but....nooo There are always cars in the parking lot and I think I've tried the one on the Northside. Maybe the hot dogs or polish are better. What are all those people eating

Tried the Hotdog, a little mustard on & a fry. The Hotdog had no flavor, so bland! They burnt the fries too. I kept hearing so many great things about Joey's (I went to Orland one on Wolf Road) & I was very dissatisfied, there was a couple that came back into the restaurant after getting their order, they too complained that their Hotdogs had no flavor & undercooked. Sorry but I won't be doing lunch there any longer.

This place and Waldo Cooney's are the perfect example of why restaurants shouldn't serve italian beef if they don't make it in house. Pre sliced, bari beef that's chewy and not even sliced correctly is not good. It was like someone took the worst cut of lunch meat and dipped it in bland, salty gravy. Pizza puff and fries were good, but that's pretty redundant because it's frozen food in a fryer. Service was good but damn, that sandwich absolutely ruined my day.
