My husband and I interviewed multiple different custom home builders before choosing John Mark Custom homes, and man are we glad we choose John!! John has not only worked so closely with us through every step of the build, but Christy with John Mark also helps relieve some of the anxiety with helping her customers chose the best products for their house and what will go with what. John is very professional, and at the same time you always feel like your talking to a friend. He knows we have a certain budget to work with, and always tries his best to stick to it, or work the subcontractors down. Our house is almost done and we are so excited to show off our finished product!

I contacted John Mark and he was extremely informative and helpful in my process of building, Its rare to find someone in this industry that's honest and willing to help. John took about an hour to explain the process to me and give me alternative ideas and made suggestions to try and make the process easier. I would absolutely advise/use him as a builder moving forward and suggest him to anyway who is looking.

I have worked with John and Kristi for many years for their cabinetry needs on multiple projects including new construction and remodeling. I think the thing that sets them apart from most builders is they take the time to meet with their customers and vendors instead of sending them out on their own. They also give generous budgets for things, listen to homeowners wants and needs and add their own expertise.Kristi has a great eye for colors and design ideas, John knows construction and unique ways of putting things together to make a custom home. Every client I met with viewed John and Kristi as friends which leads to open communication and better working relationships. In the course of remodeling/ building issues sometimes arise and each time we met on site, discussed options and resolved them with a clear direction in a timely manner. While driving the speed limit (25 mph) and heading east on El Pueblo (with my kids in the car) One of their vans was ridiculously tailgating me. The driver decided to go around me, get in front of me and slam on his brakes. I almost hit him! Then he decided to go about 8 miles per hour. Upon getting to the light at 2nd street he sat thru the green light until it was yellow and sped off leaving me behind the red light and turned east on Paseo. I have called the company to speak to someone three separate times but no one seems to be available to answer the phone. I am adding a picture of the van with its license plate. Maybe someone at the company will notice and reprimand this driver!

John built our dream home back in 2015. We had a good idea of what we wanted in our custom home, but John and Cristy really made our home extremely functional by asking us a lot of questions we had not considered on how we live and what is truly important to us. A lot of attention to detail and Cristy helped us so much choosing fixtures, tile, paint - everything. Most homebuilders give you a selection from one company to choose from a budget. John and Cristy will shop and buy from in town or online to get the best look at the best price. Truly outstanding experience. We highly recommend John Mark Custom Homes. Bonus - our home appraised over $200K more than the build!

I wanted to write a review about how happy I was to work with Cristy & John from John Mark Homes. Cristy really has great talent for eye catching design and detail. She listened to my suggestions and made them come together perfectly. John is a hands on builder, not just a supervisor. I was impressed seeing him work on all aspects of the project. A FIRST CLASS ACT FOR SURE!

John has the eye and the talent that sets him above the pack. He burst on to the Abq scene as an instant success. It is almost impossible to build an award winning house right out of the gate. I understand that his exclusivity may cause some disappointment to perspective clients. He could build any house for anyone with a few bucks, but he won't. He only builds for a select clientele. He only builds custom homes; dream homes. If you are serious and have the resources then John Mark Homes is the clear choice. R

Horrible customer service and their ideas are cheap and outdated. So many options when choosing a home builder, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
