"John Mull’s is a blast from Las Vegas’s past, a reminder that not long ago things were a little less blindingly shiny in Sin City. At this wildly popular smoked meat house, meat-lovers happily wait in line for ribs, tri-tip, burnt ends, and sides such as collards, mac and cheese, and macaroni salad. Seating is on a covered patio." - Janna Karel, Eater Staff

I was taken back in time at this establishment!! From the food, to the staff, the decor. Everything is wonderful!! Food was excellent, great portions and tasted fresh, the staff were all amazing, ready to take your order with a smile!! The decor here is classic and I really appreciate the authentic look they've kept. First time here and I assure everyone I'll definently be back!! Thank you all and keep up the excellence!!

I was glad to have read reviews so I knew what to expect. I parked off the street to avoid car damage. I went first to the food line and while waiting I was able to take in all the action and live band. People were bopping to the great band & yes I recognized all the songs from my genre 😉. There's a menu to view while you wait so you can choose your meal. I just saved a screenshot shot so I could decide. While waiting on line, a nice man offered a sample of the gumbo. I've never had gumbo & decided to try it. It was so good I ordered the largest container for my friend & his elderly mom. She thought it was too salty. I got beef tips, pork ribs, and brisket, with Mac n cheese, and collard greens. Everything was delicious and the mild BBQ sauce was delicious too. I would suggest grabbing 2 if you like a lot of sauce like me 😄; not sure if the sauce is homemade. It was $27 for the 3 meat plate and it came with cornbread. I shared some with a nephew & there were plenty of leftovers. I would definitely recommend you give it a try!

My husband and I were in town for a Monday Night Football game and we woke up the next day craving some BBQ. I heard of this place and wanted to check it out. It was a 25 minute drive north from Mandalay Bay. Easy to find in a residential area with plenty of parking. We were greeted by a very nice lady that took our order. I ordered the combo plate with Tri-Tip, pork ribs, pulled pork, collard greens, yams and corn bread. Hubby had a combo plate with pork ribs, hot link, brisket, potato salad, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. Soda cans and bottled drinks were available. We're in December and it's pretty chilly but we didn't mind enjoying the outdoor dinning. I loved my plate. No complaints. Our ribs came off the bone with the right amount of pull. I crumbled up my corn bread into my greens and inhaled it. My husband loved the cheesy mac n cheese and the smokiness taste of the brisket. We were stuffed and didn't grab dessert. We will for sure stop by again when in town.

Google
All of the food was room temperature or cold. The ribs were dried out from being exposed too long. The mac & cheese would probably be fantastic when it's fresh. Ribs seemed like that had good flavor, but they were dry and cold. The service was crap as well. They spent their time ordering people where to be instead of providing customer service. I won't ever return to this place. Jessie Rae's BBQ is 10x better, the food is fresh, and they provide excellent customer service. Zero contest.

I don’t get to have BBQ often, but this was really good. The brisket and pulled pork was amazing. And the cobblers were perfect. Had both peach and cherry. Hope to visit again sometime in 2025.

Located in North Las Vegas in a residential area, this BBQ joint featured on the Food Network and on various social media had been on my go to list for a while. Finally visited in October on a weekday when crowds would be less and temps would be cooler. Guessed right, parking lot and line wasnt too bad when I walked in. Friendly service, told them was my first time there so they gave me some samples to try while ordering. Decided on the upgrade burnt ends and pulled pork combo, along with mac and cheese and collard greens as sides with cornbread add on. Prices are on point with other BBQ places, and was well worth the drive out there. Ample outdoor covered tables, ended up taking half of the plate home. Awesome food... Will be back 5 stars🤙

Google
If you like barbecue, this is your go-to place. There is a huge menu to choose from. The only problem will be trying to decide what to order. Get there early because some items sell out fast. The line to order can be very long.

Google
Greatest barbecue I’ve had in a long long time. The ribs tips were so good and glad I switched them out for the pulled pork. We got two - two meat combos. One with brisket and rib tips, another with brisket and chicken and one with just the burnt ends meal. The Mac and cheese was spectacular. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Great everything --- food, services, fun spot -- history etc......... Thank you for your timeless place

Yelp
The best bbq in Las Vegas! Outstanding service, consistent quality, good people. John Mulls is the people choice as #1 in Las Vegas. They give back and we love them for all they do to support our community!

Yelp
The food is flavored great It is worth the wait, they let me sample the meat I was torn between the chicken and the hot link. I'm coming back and eating one at a time yummy Thanks staff

Yelp
Very very good. Had a 3 meat plate with brisket, hot link and rib tips. Brisket was my favorite. It had the most smoke flavor I've ever had. It wasn't the most tender but still very good. Hot links were great. Rib tips left a little to be desired and were a bit dry and just ok. I loved the bbq beans and pasta salad. The corn bread was very good but wish it was bigger. Only downside is having to wait outside in the hear for nearly an hour. Probably will wait until it cools off again to go. I want to try the beef rib dinner next time.

Yelp
It saddens to have to give this rating to one of my favorite places. I've been going here for years since I was a kid. Our High School band even orders from here every end of school year for the band banquet. Today we brought my in laws here to experience what I thought would be an amazing experience. Unfortunately I was mistaken. First I will say the food was amazing, despite not getting what we wanted and missing items which we paid for. Upon ordering, it was made clear that they were out of the items that we originally wanted. When we asked the woman to please repeat what items were available, she became very curt and brash and stated "what you didn't hear me the first time!" Never mind the fact that I am deaf in one ear. We order what items they claimed they had "left". Upon waiting for our order which we ended up waiting an hour an half for, we noticed many individuals receiving wrong orders. Once we finally had our name called for them to make it front of you, we noticed that they had the items which they claimed to be out of. At this point fine whatever, however we were missing one whole plate. As you know the food is expensive but good, so we wanted the food in which we paid for. So we informed them that one plate was missing and she raised her voice and said "he'll make it right now for you is that okay, is it, is it okay!!" Once we got home we were still missing a side of Mac n cheese and all our corn breads. Don't get me wrong the food was still good even if it wasn't what we wanted/ordered. However it doesn't change the fact that I have never been treated this way there before. I know they are always busy and that can lead to stress, but that was unacceptable. I am quite appalled by the behaviors. I have catered some of my events along with our High schools events. I even have family who also performs there as well. I know that every establishment has a bad day, however this cannot be tolerated at all. I hope this review will be taken seriously and positive changes will come from this. I will give them one more chance this next week with my in-laws one more time to prove they are as amazing as I had hyped them up to be. If it is still the same, I unfortunately will have to look into a new establishment to cater mine and our High schools events and I really don't want to do that.

Yelp
Long standing BBQ place that I have been too many times before. They do not miss. Their meats are incredible as well as their sides. The staff is friendly. The only drawback is the fact is it's take out, as it's not a restaurant and seating outside.....well self explanatory! Honestly the food makes up for it all just take it home.

Lorri P.

Yelp
First time here. Ordered the 2 meat combo and it comes with 2 sides. I had brisket and links (cut) with Mac n cheese and greens. It also came with a side of bread so I chose cornbread. The portions are HUGE!!! You seriously could feed a family of 4 with ONE meal. It's a lot, great value for the money. It's a walk up, you wait outside in line and the order taker does a great job on pacing the people inside. You order, pay and go. They have seating outside on picnic tables so it's real Southern. My meal was good. The links were good, nice sauce. Mac N Cheese was baked Mac n cheese and I could tell which is what I prefer and it was good. The greens had good flavor and the cornbread was good. The sodas are in cans and I love that they carry RC Cola! I haven't seen that since I was a kid! I had the peach cobbler and it was good. I would return!

Yelp
Amazing food. All of it. Does not matter what you order. Sauce is good cold ot warm. I bought a bottle and sent it with my son to Montana.

Yelp
I have lived in Vegas for 3 years now and this was the first time I have made it to the Road Kill Grill and now I wish I didn't wait too long because the food was amazing. I got the 2 meat combo of brisket and hot links with mac and cheese as well as baked beans for my sides. For $19.99, the portion sizes were definitely generous. Both the brisket and links were juicy and the brisket had a nice smoky flavor to it. The beans were really good but I have to say my favorite was the mac and cheese. I don't know what their recipe is, but it's addictive. Staff were really nice even as busy as it was. There is no indoor dining but they have plenty of picnic tables under a covered awning. It's a little out of the way that's kind of hidden in a neighborhood but it's well worth traveling to.

Yelp
Be prepared for a VERY LONG WAIT. We were aware there'd be a wait, but unfortunately for our first visit we arrived on a day where the wait time wasn't "normal". On this day, we arrived and stood in line at 11:44am. We paid for our food and walked out the door to sit and eat at 1:04pm (grand total of standing in line for 1 hour and 20 minutes). Our wait time would have been even longer if it wasn't for the group of 7 people with the fire department ahead of us in line that decided to leave. The couple in front of us who frequent John Mull's shared that normal maximum wait time is about 45 minutes, and in the summer, they have the outdoor serving area also set up to help the line move faster. I can't imagine standing in line during the summer heat for even 45 minutes, though. To management: if possible, could you please expand the number of POS and serving stations and/or a Restaurant Pager System for orders to be placed and then filled? Getting past the extended wait time in line, the rest of the experience was enjoyable. They offered us generous portions of food (so much so that the container lid broke when the server attempted to close it), all delicious foods, covered dog friendly outdoor seating, and very friendly customer service with good vibes. We ordered the 3 meats combo: pork ribs, brisket, pulled pork, with mac and cheese, corn bread, and yams for our sides with an additional side of potato salad. Sadly, they do not offer sweet tea, but they do offer canned Brisk lemon ice tea. Pulled pork was divine, brisket was excellent in texture and not a hint dry, and was extremely smoky. The hubby who loves smokey meats said it was too smokey for him, but still very good. Pork ribs were very good, their texture mimicked boiled meat- a bit chewy, and surprisingly, they did not have much fat. The potato salad and corn bread were also good, but the yams and mac and cheese were the definite stars of all the sides. The BBQ sauce is very unique to John Mull's- not very sweet and rich in a tomato umami flavor. Of all the BBQ places we've had the privilege of enjoying throughout Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas, John Mull's is one of the top memorable ones for us. If it's your first visit, DEFINITELY get the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and yams- do not skip those! We look forward to returning at least once more, hopefully with the average or less wait time, though.

Kevin G.

Yelp
Simply the best barbecue in Las Vegas great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I would have to say that my favorite would be burnt and pulled pork.

Steven M.

Yelp
It was my fathers birthday and for some reason my parents sent me money to buy BBQ (they live on the opposite side of the country) so we ended up finally giving John Mull's Meats & Road Kill Grill a try. This place is cool for so many reasons, and the first is that you don't even feel like you are in Las Vegas when you roll up to this place. They have a parking lot and some spots out front with absolutely no view of the strip or downtown in the distance, which can be nice to escape for a little bit and feel like you are in a small town. Once you enter the property you, you get in line and place your order, wait for it, and then choose to either take the food home or eat in the outdoor dining area. The food? Well, It's BBQ so get ready for big portions and big taste. The menu here has all the BBQ classics you could possibly want and quite possibly the nicest staff you'll ever talk too. What did I eat? That would be a 3 meat combo with Hot Link, 1/4 chicken, and Pork Ribs with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese on the side. Every single thing I ate was absolutely delicious and top tier for a BBQ joint. My only issue is I wish I ordered some brisket over the pork ribs because of how good they looked. Overall, John Mull's Meats & Road Kill Grill was a top notch experience from start to finish. The funny and kind staff who took our orders started the experience made the entire thing memorable while this place also offers free bottles of water to everyone who visits. The food was delicious, the scenery was peaceful, and for a BBQ joint in Las Vegas, this place seems second to none.

Yelp
The food was sooooooooo good. My dad took me here and at first I was thinking "oh no!!! A line" And mind you it was a long horrible line and by that I meant I didn't think I was going to make it because I was starving!!!!!!! The service once inside was lovely. If you wanted to try a sample, the nice guy fixing plates gladly let my dad have a nice portion to sample. I even tasted from my dad's sample cup and it was indeed delicious and it also helped with my hunger pangs too lol. The ambiance outside was friendly. They had a huge ice bucket for lack of a better name full of ice of course and free bottled waters. It was nice to have while waiting in the hot Vegas line in the shade. The ambiance inside was like as if you were in a cafeteria if you were lined up to the left and it was like a meat market if you were lined up on the right by the fresh meat counter. Overall I know I'll be back!!! Why?? OHH because they give huge portions of whatever you may order. My dad ordered the big ribs and double collard greens. I ordered the briskets (took me 3 days to finish them.... So much) with the baked beans (yum) that had ample pieces of ground meat in it.... and a cup of potato salad that needed a lil doctorin up. But anywho!!! S'all good!!!!! I told my mom back in Cali about this place and she can't wait to try it as well.

Yelp
We decided to get BBQ on Memorial Day- a group of 8 of us. We waited in line for about 1.5 hrs but it was worth it. They were giving put free burgers/hot dogs abd fries that day. We got full on those while in line. By the time we got our food, we took a few bites and took it home. I ate on my plate for 3 days! 3 meat combo w/2 sides, ordered 2 additional sides + dessert, only paid $42!! Portions are big. It was so good! Staff was super nice- my girl Cricket was nice to all of us! My only suggestion is that they should have shade tents that are outside of the covered line area. I recommend John Mull to everyone!

Francine L.

Yelp
John Mull's Meat & Road Kill is quite popular and a bit famous since it was shown on the Food Network television show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with the host Guy Fieri. When I got here it was lightly raining and still people are standing in line wanting to order from this BBQ place. The menu is outside but some of the items were sold out when I got here already. We got Dino ribs, some hot links, chicken BBQ, and also a few delicious sides such as beans, potato salad, and macaroni cheese. All the food was delicious and worth the wait! We were completely stuffed to the max. They have an outdoor patio that has benches and chairs to sit on and there is cover from the rain.

Yelp
Yumm!! Quite possibly my easiest Flanders last review of 2023. Located within a small neighborhood off of Decature by Alexander, this spot is no hole in the wall, but a gem in the desert. You can choose from 2 entrances that both have somewhat good parking. Been coming here for the past 11 years or so, and everytime has been consistent in thier food. What we order 3 Meat Combo with burnt tips and beef rib. Sides . Collard Greens, green beans, and extra corn bread. All I can say is YUM! What can you expect from here vs your branded BBQ spots. Flavour and consistency. Meats are juicy and not boring. They use a dry rub or multiple of rubs to put these flavors together. All of which you can purchase at the register. The bitterness off the greens is not overpowering and greenbeans are just ..... Why the 4 stars? As song as they've been around, the POS system can be a bit more productive. The line gets pretty long and with the heat and now the cold, waiting can be a bit discouraging. You can order to pick up though. Make sure to let the people up front know your picking up. Overall a great hidden gem and worth the drive and wait.

Laura A.

Yelp
John Mull's Meats & Road Kill Grill is a barbecue and meat shop located in a residential area. This isn't a fancy place. It's something like waiting at a buffet with some outside picnic tables. Portions are off the charts LARGE. Between us we tried a variety of things- Brisket - a mix of thin sliced and dry and thick cut fatty, moist and tasty pulled pork - very good pulled chicken - we didn't care for 1/4 chicken dark - very good hot links - very good bbq sauces - neither for us Corn bread - sweet and moist beans - very good yams - very good mac-n-cheese - very strange. Like macaroni imbedded in cream cheese with a little cheddar mixed in 3.5 stars - rounded up because it's closer to four stars

Yelp
If you have read any of my previous reviews for BBQ establishments, you have probably gathered that I absolutely LOVE BBQ. The only challenge is finding a BBQ restaurant that is consistently (keyword) good. While visiting family in Vegas in 2017 (I cannot believe that was six whopping years ago), we celebrated my wife's grandmother's 80th birthday by ordering BBQ from John Mull's Meats & Road Kill Grill. The taste of the food was so remarkable that I told my wife that we needed to revisit this place whenever we were in town. Fast forward to 2023, during the last day of our stay in Vegas, we decided to order some food before we departed for home. That morning, my wife called in the order and informed the employee that we would pick it up at four that afternoon. Since it was a Monday afternoon, we arrived and were not greeted by the crazy long line that some folks have experienced. Upon getting to the front of the line, the employee requested the name for the order, confirmed the orders (we ordered a total of nine plates), and began assembling them. I must add that all of the employees are friendly and extremely efficient. Once we made it to my wife's grandmother's house (I hope yall didn't think that the nine plates were for the two of us), we started diving into our respective orders. I ordered the three meat dinner with two sides + bread that included the following: Rib Tips, ribs, sliced hot links, Mac+cheese, greens, and cornbread. If you asked me to describe the flavor of the meat, I would respond using two words... Good Gawd! Like most people, I'm big on flavor! Their meat is delicious without their signature sauces; however, if you want to take the taste to another level, go ahead and dribble some of that sauce on the meat and you'll forget about any other BBQ establishment that you have visited. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish our orders due to our quickly looming flight home. However, I can confirm that the food traveled well and tasted just as good when we reheated it the next day. If you're looking for some BBQ that will leave you feeling satisfied and craving more, I highly recommend checking out John Mull's Meats & Road Kill Grill.

Yelp
We're originally from Texas, so we have a great idea of what we have in mind for BBQ. This was very good! Will definitely return, but there are a couple of things I won't get next time. Firstly, the service was fantastic. The entire staff, the whole way around, were incredibly kind, upbeat, and seemed to really enjoy their time working there. They paid good attention to every customer, and treated everyone in the building kindly and with respect. The meats were a 10/10! Most of the sides were as well, with the exception of the macaroni & the potato salad. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the macaroni was a bit grainy & bland, and the potato salad didn't have enough of a balance of flavor for my personal taste. It needed more acidity (preferably mustard) and a little salt and pepper to round things out. The cornbread was also very dry. Collards & cobbler were also 10/10 We really enjoyed the setting! Being in the shop itself could very easily be a bit crowded, but it's a pretty quick in and out, and with everyone being so kind, it wasn't really a problem at all. What we really loved was the option to sit outside at their picnic tables and eat our fresh hot meals! It's a nice open and very welcoming space. Very comfortable. Overall, I give it a 5/5 because my personal preference on those foods doesn't mean they weren't done well, just not necessarily to my taste. The service, atmosphere, & most of their food items were knockouts, so I definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for good bbq!

John B.

Yelp
This was a nice BBQ eatery that was a *little* off the beaten path. That being said, I enjoyed JM meats & Road Kill Grill. Don't let the name fool you. I don't think they serve road kill (at least I hope not.) I had the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, & potato salad. All together it was pretty good eating and very filling. It was all full or protein, you didn't come here for a salad, did you?!

Saesha S.

Yelp
We have been looking for a great bbq spot, and road kill grill did not disappoint! We waited in line for almost 2 hours but it was worth it! The live music made it much more tolerable. Everyone that took care of us was very friendly and helpful. You can feel the love in this place. A very sweet gentleman came around with samples as we were in line, of the bean soup that was DELICIOUS! we ended up buying a quart. In addition We ordered a couple of combo plates to get as much variety as possible, the meats are packed with flavor! And the sides are equally as great. Do not sleep their apple cobbler! It's crazy good.

Paul P.

Yelp
It appears I have never reviewed this place though I have been here three separate times. Recently discovered though we've been in Vegas for years and it's not far from our house. I am a very big BBQ guy. I've traveled the US to the most popular BBQ Cities and many of the most known places in Texas, Memphis, St Louis etc. That being said, this place is my favorite of all of them. Taste, price, character etc. On weekends it gets very crowded (1 1/2 Hour wait), which is an experience in itself (a good one, you'll make new friends while waiting).

John F.

Yelp
Awesome service and incredible BBQ. We had burnt ends, 1/2 chicken and brisket. Cold slaw, potatoes salad, mac & cheese, and baked beans. And listened to some jamming live music! It is the best in Vegas. Guy Fieri gave it a thumbs up so that says it all!

Lisa M.

Yelp
EXCELLENT BBQ!! Hubby and I have decided we're gonna visit every restaurant featured on DDD in Vegas. Started here. Not mad. We ordered the 3 meat combo with 2 sides so we could try a bit of everything. -Hot links: I said I would come back just for this on a bun and I will. Juicy, spicy, smoky....delicious. -Brisket: incredibly moist, so SO good with their spicy BBQ sauce -Pork Ribs: I'm not a rib person but my husband loved them. SIDES: Coleslaw is only okay. Skip it. GET THE MACARONI SALAD!!! Seriously. Bought an extra container to bring home. Get here early because a line will form. Outdoor seating only. Residential neighborhood. Blink and you'll miss it. They also butcher your hunting kill. LEGIT!!

Bill W.

Yelp
Food is awesome and the ambiance is cool. Highly recommend. All the hype is here. Don't pass this gem up.

Zach B.

Yelp
No idea how I've lived in Vegas for 5 years and never been here. Just decided to swing by this place on break with my Co-worker and it's amazing. Worth every dollar from quality to quantity. The location was definitely weird, my coworker warned me before hand it's a bit out of the way but that's what makes this place so perfect. The staff was great, wait time was no worse than any fast food chain out there (at least when we visited) but I could see how they could get crazy lines on occasion. Definitely would say try it if you haven't, I'll definitely be back.

Nicole J.

Yelp
Everything about this place is phenomenal. The food, outstanding. We come to Vegas every year and this is a must go to. No questions asked!! You can't go wrong with the Road Kill grill!!!

Johnny M.

Yelp
- Update - Food: - Two Meat Combo: Brisket, Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, Green Beans. After waiting in the blazing Nevada sun, and looking over the menu twelve times, we finally decided on a combo to share. The meats were easy for us to decide on, it was the sides that made up think, and rethink all the options. There is nothing like getting your named called, your food being handed to you and you go sit at the picnic tables with the large cooler fan hitting you. The pulled pork was our favorite of the two meats, and I think that comes down to one simple reason. The brisket is cut super thin and is sitting in a container prior to be served. It might be that we have just been blessed with going to spots that cut the brisket to order, but I felt like that made a difference in flavor to me. The sides, they are heavenly. I highly recommend both, and of course get the corn bread as well. Restaurant: If you are just coming into Vegas and go straight to John Mull's expect a long drive. It felt like it took forever to get there, but its really just because you are driving into North Las Vegas. The restaurant itself is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood, its quite a trip when you see if for the the first time. Notes: $20ish for a two meat combo is not bad at all.

Yelp
The burnt end was recommended me not being from Las Vegas. I wanted to try what was recommended it was just all right, but they charge me an extra six dollars and you couldn't get double burnt in even if you pay. The person taking my order was rude, but the food was average average

Yelp
Having been to many many bbq places all over the USA. This place does not stack up for me. Everything is made in mass and served in trays of buffet from countertop. Meat was cold or hardly warm. While the burned ends are better than their ribs. The ribs was not tender. People there wasn't happy to be of service and had a chip on their shoulder. Just boasting and marketing how good their stuff us to the unbeknownst public. Asking them what rub or wood they choose. Counter people didn't know or cared. Hard pass

Yelp
John Mull's is one of our two favorite BBQ spots in town. It does take a trek to get there though, and it's kind of out of the way, but well worth it. When you pull into the ranch-style parking lot, most of ur time you'll be able to find a parking spot, though some times it's been really packed. There's an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your food. Prepare to wait in a line, and if you're lucky, it won't be too far out the door! When you enter, you'll see two counters, one on the left where you order your meals, and a counter on the right to purchase meats. Everyone is extremely friendly and nice there, which somehow I'm convinced makes the food taste even better! Today, a woman came around with a little handheld POS (that stands for point of sale, not the other POS you were thinking haha) and took our order and payment. The line moves down while they fill your plates. Today I ordered the beef brisket with Mac & cheese and yams. It also comes with a round cornbread that looks like a mini pancake (it's deeeelicious!) I think I'd enjoy the brisket a bit more if it were chopped as opposed to sliced. For some reason, chopped brisket just tastes better to me... I think it's because it can really soak up the juices and the BBQ sauce. The Mac & cheese was good, the yams were yummy. Overall, great lunch. We paid about $35 for two meals. If you're down for an adventure that doesn't feel too Vegasy, try John Mull's!

Yelp
Eat here for good bbq and sides. Try the beef rib. That was my favorite meat out of the 4 we tried. The pork ribs were about 4 or 5 bones. Good, but not great. Brisket. I wasn't a fan. Beef tips good, not great, burnt ends good not great. Out of the 4 meats i tried, I'd only reorder the beef rib. That was something very special. If you order it, be prepared to wait 20 mins. it's totally worth it. The sides were good. The mac n cheese is cheesy!! My favorite sides in order of most favorite beans, yams, greens, and mac n cheese. The corn bread is on the sweeter side. They have traditional bbq, sause, and spicy. I got both and mixed them up together. Will be back to try the hot link and get another one of those beef ribs! Staff was very helpful and cheerful.

Yelp
My first time eating take home from John Mull In a word: AMAZING!!! Had the burnt ends, half chicken, brisket, collard greens, beans, mac and cheese plus various bbq sauces. Each serving so generous that i dined on the burnt ends, mac and cheese collard greens for three full meals. There is a reason why there is a line waiting to order. And the pricing is sinfully low for what you get. But don't tell them.

Yelp
As seen on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Is this BBQ place hidden in a neighborhood. Customer service here is excellent and the food does not disappoint. ***What we ordered **3 Meat Combo (Cut Sausage, Brisket, and Pulled Pork), Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens (10/10) ~ I was a HUGE fan of the pulled pork. It had so much flavor to it! There was smokeyness, sweetness, and a little bit of bitterness. It was so delicious. As for the Brisket, it had a nice smokeyness to it. It wasn't dry and it was the perfect combo with their mild BBQ sauce. As for the cut sausage it was lathered with this tangy, but sweet BBQ sauce! It was a little bit on the spicy side. The baked Mac & Cheese was cooked for perfection and the collard greens was so delicious! Next time, I really want to try the burnt ends! It looked so juicy. **Apple Clobber (9/10) ~ This came out super hot and it was delicious! It was a tad bit sweet for me, but by far one of the best apple clobbers I've ever had. Overall, It's super out of the way from the strip (30 minute drive), but it was really worth. Customer service is top notch here and food was super good :) if I ever happen to be back I'll defs be here again!

Yelp
We ordered the 3 meal combo of tri tips, pull pork, and brisket with sides of cole slaw and baked beans including the corn bread. Everything was tasty. The baked beans was delicious as well as the cole slaw and especially the corn bread. The meats were excellent. We ate half the meats and we were stuffed. We were standing in the hot sun waiting for our orders and the gals getting our foods told everyone to go under the shade and help our selves to bottle water. They could have sold us the bottled water but their hospitality was outstanding. Also, for the amount of food we got and at the price we got it at was outstanding.

Yelp
The hype on Instagram for this place should have been the warning. Finally decided to try it and the crowd were your usual cast of instagram food chasers. Had high hopes, but quickly adjusted my expectations once we say the bins of visibly dry meats being served. Not sure what I expected but most of the best BBQ and smoked meat joints cut orders fresh to preserve moisture. The brisket was dry and the charred edges tasked almost like some type of lighter fluid or charcoal burner they use in the smoker. Very odd. Chicken was as dry as chicken can be. Out of fairness I got the white meat but it was brick hard and bone dry. The actual place and ambience are good "old school" country Vegas. Love it. But it appears to be overly commercialized or swarmed by the IG masses that they lost their concern for quality. Even the ribs were bland, meat chewy, light colored. The only way we would try them again is if they were offering fresh cut out of the smoker. But it doesn't appear they do that.

Yelp
Great food and wonderful service! There is no inside dining, however if you want a picnic or outdoor dining experience, this is your place.

Yelp
What a great place! I travel a lot and have to say this is some of the best bbq I've had in the country! The owner Chuck was there working as usual and gave me a quick tour. Try the beef rib.

Yelp
Ok, I'm a believer. I thought I'd never find bbq comparable to the original Rollin' Smoke, but this is right up there. Great burnt ends, generous portions, friendly people, and I love love love the utterly authentic lack of pretense. Yum!

Yelp
I was not familiar with the popularity of this place. I looked up a bbq spot and landed here. The line was so long it was out the door. I figured this was a sign this place had to slap. I stood in the cold waiting to order for 20 minutes. The staff were so friendly during the whole exchange. When I did make it inside, I was surprised at how small it actually was inside. At this point I had really high hopes cause it felt like a South GA mom n pop. However, once I got home and settled down to eat, I wasn't too impressed. Everything, excluding the ribs, tasted off. The most off putting was the baked beans. They tasted like a piece of candy, no exaggeration. They might give someone a cavity fr. My rating is based on west coast taste buds cause if this was the east coast, it'd be half a star.

Yelp
When going to this business you think you've made a wrong turn bc the area is all residential. Then you turn on this grave drive and still think you are lost until you see the long line of people. Outdoor seating is offered in warm months but most people do take away. It's usually pretty busy so the staff tries to keep it quick and efficient. I have tried many things on the menu and never been disappointed. Favs are the beans, links, and the tips to name a few. Also love that the dress down meat for hunter at the location (note separate entrance than the bbq side.) Overall would recommend bc it's good old homestyle bbq.

Yelp
Best bbq I've had in 5 years. It's better than the Salt Lick in Roundrock and competitive with Cooper's in Austin. The brisket melts in your mouth! I paired that with the smoked chicken and a hot link, and both were mind-blowing. I am usually not a pulled pork fan, but my wife made me try hers, and I was tempted to go through the line again. We each had a 3 meat combo and had enough leftovers for a full lunch the next day. Perfect.

Yelp
Food is excellent, tasty, large portions. Loved the Tri/tip, pulled pork, brisket, and hubby likes the burnt ends. The potato salad is great. Line can get long at night go earlier in the day.

Yelp
I've been looking for good BBQ since moving here and have only found a good place in Henderson. Everybody always recommends John Mull's so I decided to give it a try. Line forms outside and people come take your order and it gets sent inside in a cafeteria style line where they'll scoop your food into a togo box in front of you. When you walk inside it's dark and very crammed. You are told to come inside and close the door and move over to your left. When I opened the door, it was completely full inside and nobody moved over to give me space to my left. I had to step over to my right, and a woman working loudly insulted my intelligence and said "That's your right. I said go to your left.", prompting everybody to laugh at me as if I'm stupid. I didn't really appreciate that, it's so rude and off putting to somebody who's coming here for their first time. I was looking for that sense of hospitality that everybody said they have, but I just didn't see it from anybody. Not even just her! Nobody was welcoming, everybody looked miserable and they all just seemed in robot-working mode. No personality or real hospitality except taking your order, scooping it into a plate, and cashing you out. There's no real sense of portion control here as meats aren't weighed. I watched them give some plates more and some clearly very less. The pulled pork had an okay flavor, was a little dry. The cut hot links were good. I enjoyed their spicy bbq sauce. The sides were decent- mac and cheese was very cheesy but dry. Mashed potato had little to no flavor in my opinion. Beans had lots of meat in it which is great, but tasted like chili more than baked beans. Potato salad was good. Overall, they are just okay. I can't imagine waiting outside in that line in the peak of summer or winter though, for okay BBQ and employees with attitudes.

Yelp
I ordered a smoked turkey and smoked ham for thanksgiving and it was SO GOOD!!!! Very reasonably priced and so easy to pick up. It's fully cooked, just need to be heated up. The staff provided instructions to me on how to heat it up in the oven and it was very easy! The meats tasted so good. Not dry at all and full of flavor. I'm definitely looking forward to trying their other meats and sides soon!

Yelp
Wow! Definitely a hidden jem in Vegas, this place in near a residential neighborhood, but we'll worth the drive. We tried just about all the meats, and all were flavorful, and we were given an insanely amount of it. We will definitely be back, I didn't try the burnt ends, but now I have a reason to go back..

Yelp
After a long drive from California, we decided to have dinner here. It was busy as a bee. Tables outside were occupied. Long lines waiting for their order. So we decided to order online and waited for 45 minutes. We found a seat on the table and got our selves comfy with the heated lamps. It was a cold evening. We ordered the 3 meat combo - ribs, brisket and pulled pork with the sides of Mac and cheese and greens. The 2 meats were good and tasty but the ribs were mediocre. It was tough and not much taste. It should be falling off the bone. We don't mind coming back if friends wanted to come. But my SO and I decided to check out other good BBQ places.

Yelp
First time here .. first impression, you know it's gonna be a good place when the line is already long when they first open at 11 AM. The prices were good.. they give you a lot of food for the price you pay. My family and I had the pork ribs, hot links, beef tips, pulled chicken, macaroni and cheese yams, baked beans, and potato salad.. you also get a side of bread of choice.. The food was delicious!! The meat was tender and had good flavor, , and you get to choose between the hot or mild barbecue sauce. The barbecue sauce was a mixture of savory with the hint of sweet. While you wait in line, we were given a sample of the gumbo, which was good also. The ambience was great. It's outdoor seating and there was a guy playing live music.. overall great atmosphere! Whenever we come visit Vegas, we will be returning here! Great barbecue spot outside of the strip!

Yelp
So if anyone's been to Vegas and sleep on this spot, I'm so sorry for you. My hubby's friend again hit us up to the best BBQ ever. All I can say is the brisket melted in my mouth, the greens put a little pep in my step and lets not even go there with the yams. (Sweet potatoes to me). We were told to order the three meat special which was plenty of food for me and the Mr. We indulged in brisket, ribs, and hot links. Sides consisted of greens, baked beans, and yams. (I'm so sad that I didn't get the Mac and cheeses next time). Oh yeah I forgot I got a peach cobbler to go... Service was a lot of fun, just to watch everyone in action making sure everyone was taken care of. You can call ahead and place your order but we just did a walk in. Everything we tried was delicious. Let's talk ambiance. To get to the spot you drive through a neighborhood. I almost told my husband we had the wrong address. Then you come upon the establishment and its pretty cool. they have an eat out side area with covered seating. It's a lot to take in so I suggest getting there before they close. We got there kind of late so I truly didn't get to appreciate the surroundings. There's quite a bit to try and absorb. But I will say it is well worth the drive off of the strip. About 18-20 miles took us about 30 minutes to get there but so glad we went. Next time we are in Vegas this will probably be the first place we hit up. Y'all have to try it.

Yelp
Food was delicious. We had ribs greens mac & cheese. Have been 2 times and both times the service was fast and friendly. Not to mention very good
