We had a lovely time! Our server was very attentive. This was definitely a premium dining experience from start to finish. I would recommend anyone who enjoys great food with great service. Very supportive of celebrations (birthday) too! We will definitely be back. During this meal, we tried the tuna tartare and lobster bisque for the appetizers. For the main, I did a 7oz dry aged new york strip and 2 scallops. We had a key lime pie for dessert. The cocktails are a bourbon sour and a final ward (like a last word but with rye whiskey + lemon juice instead of gin + lime juice). In the past, we have had the crab cakes and gargonzola beet salad - both absolutely delicious but the gargonzola can be a bit overpowering. My wife has gotten the Scottish salmon before and woudl recommend. The creme brulee is absolutely perfect here too, we've gone in just for cocktails and creme brulee at the bar before.

A great experience for Madison Restaurant Week 2025 at Johnny Delmonico’s. We added an extra oyster appetizer along with the French onion soup and iceberg wedge. Entree options included salmon with polenta and filet with mashed potatoes. Dessert choices were fantastic with creme brulee and chocolate torte. We can’t wait to go back!

Johnny D Stakehouse has a very nice atmosphere with great service and also we were able to make a late reservation for 8:30pm when they closed at 9 pm. 🤩 The food on the other had wasn’t what I expected, my son and I ordered a dish called JOHNNY’S CHANEL NO. 5 It was a bit salty but still yummy and I asked without artichokes so next time I’d ask without the or prosciutto.

Absolutely perfect! We went here for an anniversary , we only booked it a day before, and they gave us this perfect ,private corner window seat. We got greeted, welcomed, and congratulated for our anniversary by every staff member from hostess, waiter, water, manager, you name it . They even had a card on our table that everyone signed, it was extremely thoughtful and I absolutely loved that. Ryan was our waiter and he was fantastic as well. Aside from the service and extreme thoughtfulness, the food was delicious. The ambience is very sophisticated with rather reasonable prices. I can’t wait until we’re in town again, fantastic dinner!

Fantastic all around! Food was delicious, and our server, Julie, was exceptional! She made great recommendations and was attentive without being intrusive. Definitely a five star dining experience and we’ll be back!

We celebrated our anniversary last night with dinner at Johnny Delmonico’s. The steak was cooked to perfection! It was absolutely delicious! My husband said the same about his sea bass. The potatoes and asparagus were wonderful. The issues we had were that our warm bread came after we had finished our soup and salad. We would have wnjoyed it more with our soup and salad. The waitress was not attentive. She never asked if we wanted another beverage and onions were missing from the hash browns. The chocolate torte was extremely small and was very dry. We would recommend the restaurant to friends but would share our experience.

I went with my partner for the valentine’s dinner. We spent almost $300 for 3-course meal for 2 persons. The service was great. Except for telling us that we could substitute a side dish without mentioning the upcharge. The food was quite disappointing. Lobster Bisque was kind of sour. I had so many Lobster Bisque but never had one that is sour like it had a fermented ingredient in there. We both got steak and they were both oversalted, which kind of ruined the natural flavor of the steak. We got walnut icecream that had a sherbet-like texture and pieces of ice inside. Not the end of the world but unacceptable for ~$300 meal. Ice cream should by creamy and not rocky. It’s the worst when you tasted something you didn’t expect. Overall, only setvice is nice. Food was kinda disappointing and probably won’t go back again.

Yelp
This restaurant is a great place for date night or celebratory dinners. The ambiance is cozy, upscale and clean, offering a great place for relaxing conversation while dining. The food was fantastic. We had a filet and a surf and turf with shaved sprouts. They were cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque and wedge salad was also better than we could have imagined. Perhaps the best aspect was the service. Amongst the best I've ever experienced. Our waiter, Ryan was amazing. We felt like we had a very attentive personal guide for the evening. We were also greeted by name by the manager. Very classy. We never felt rushed throughout the evening. My wife and I were there for a good while, enjoying our night, and it was nice to not feel like we had to move on. You should know that the price is not cheap. Our meal for two, with drinks, was about $260. For this type of restaurant this isn't out of line, but you should know ahead of time. Well worth the price. Overall we had a wonderful experience here, and will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is on a nice corner - large windows allow a view inside, which features nice lighting accents, a beautiful bar, and white tablecloth service. We had a reservation, and when we arrived we were promptly seated at a nice table. A server arrived, introduced herself, and provided water to the table. A few moments later, the waiter arrived, introduced himself and provided menus and a wine list. Shortly after that, a loaf of bread arrived - 6 slices, with nicely salted butter. It was a nice loaf, with a crispy crust that went well with the salted butter. Some things to consider: the sides are "family" size. We all ordered their hash browns, but honestly, it was so large we all took most of it home. To start with, my wife and I split a Caesar salad, which had white anchovies which was quite good. The croutons were good, and the parmesan cheese on the top was abundant. For entrees, I selected their 14 ounce Sirloin, which was a bottom cut, medium rare. My wife selected their Surf & Turf which had a filet and two scallops, while my son had their scallop dinner. My sirloin was cooked properly, seasoned properly, and was delicious. While it is a tougher cut than a tenderloin, it was so flavorful that it was a delight. My wife enjoyed her Surf & Turf, and my son enjoyed his scallops. One thing we all noted - the hash browns (my wife and son got the standard, I tried the loaded) were too salty. My wife noted "I really like salt, and these are too salty." We ordered a nice bottle of wine - corkage seemed a bit above market rate at 4 to 5 times street values, but you get really good service here. The wine glassware was very nice. I wish we could have tried dessert, but unfortunately, the hash browns were too filling. So this place has ambience, it has excellent service, and excellent food. What's not to like?

Yelp
Celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary dinner here and despite the fact that I added this memento occasion to our reservation and also mentioned to the server when he inquired if we were celebrating an event, no recognition of our anniversary was acknowledged.

Yelp
We had a lovely dining experience at Johnny's last night with outstanding service from the most charming server, Emily, and outstanding drinks and filling dinners. She was the most knowledgeable server with the sharpest and fastest responses to questions -- what a pro. We asked Emily for her recommendations and I ordered all of them, from drinks to dinner. She did not steer me wrong! The prime rib was incredible, although there was a decent 1/4 of the piece that was fat. Still, the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious and the goat cheese salad upgrade she recommended was perhaps the best salad I've ever eaten. We also had incredible martinis, like, outstanding and easy to throw back. If you like sweet cocktails, get the Simple Peach and enjoy yourself. For dessert, we had the turtle cheesecake and I don't always love cheesecake, but that piece was incredible and the caramel was not overwhelming as it usually is. Would we go back? Absolutely. Will we ask for Emily? Every time. Great night out!

Yelp
I came here with a party of four and we all ordered steaks off of the menu. A couple of aged Ribeyes and a couple of sirloins. All were perfectly done as ordered. We shared a couple of sides along with the loaded hash browns. All in all the food was amazing along with an incredible server that made great recommendations off of the menu. If you're looking for an amazing steak Johnny Delmonico's is the place to go when in Madison.

Yelp
The restaurant is very classic. Service was above average. Our server was Carey. His recommendations were spectacular. The food was delicious. This is a carnivore loving place. We ordered the filet mignon, NY Strip and Rib eye with bone marrow butter. My husband said the NY Strip was not well marbled but at 47 dollars the price did not reflect the best quality of meat. The steak comes with potatoes which we had different types. All were tasty and delicious. Desserts were 8 out of 10! The cookie on the creme brûlée was a little soggy. The dining room is very roomy and the tables and chairs comfy. There is a bar which was busy and vibrant.

Yelp
Based on the yelp rating, I wasn't expecting much. Also, I've found a couple other Food Fight Group restaurants to be rubbish. But I gotta say, I came away pleasantly surprised. Kind of a legit restaurant/steakhouse in this midwest college town that tends to lean pretty casualish. Decent decor - I thought the AGM, hostess, and server were all very kind and welcoming. Thought the food was really solid - had a filet, salad, some potatoes. Good old fashioned. Pretty expensive though, so not sure I'd be that inclined to go on my dime or recommend it to someone who was visiting Madison. Like when I think of going to Wisconsin, I wouldn't say I'd like to spend more than I would at Keen's (NYC) or Jefferey's (ATX). But like if someone is going for work and needs a good steak, absolutley. I could be wrong but I don't get the sense there's much in terms of biz meals in Madison so this would be a good one.

Yelp
Fancy and romantic setting. Delicious ribeyes & wonderful wedge salad. Great service, very professional staff.

Yelp
Service was good. Friendly and nonchalant. Ambiance was to be expected. Nice, classy decor. Food was very good, for the most part. I ordered the salmon and it came out burnt. I tried eating it but I bit into burnt charred crispy black coal. All of the outside was that way, but largely the edges were black . I didn't send it back because I wasn't terribly hungry and I could still eat the middle. I'm sure it was an oversight, but a plate like that should never come out to the table.

Yelp
Incredible experience at Delmonico's. Our server was incredible. The big windows are gorgeous. Cocktails are delicious, I had the French martini which was so good I got another. Both our steaks (filet) were cooked perfectly. The lobster bisque was delicious and the presentation was immaculate. We were celebrating a new job offer and they surprised us with complimentary champagne. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Yelp
Went to Delmonico's with hopeful expectations that "3rd time is a charm" otherwise we were planning on writing them off permanently...In the past years we've visited, the service was subpar, the food was not cooked as ordered, and overall we just left extremely disappointed. BUT - I have to say this time we were pleasantly impressed!! We had reservations for dinner on a Friday night, and were happily and promptly greeted & sat by the host. Our server Julie was over shortly and she was personable, friendly and executed every thing timely. All of the waitstaff was also great in picking up finished plates or filling our water. Our food was excellent and perfectly cooked. One of the top dry-aged NY strip steaks I've had in Madison - definitely worth the price! We ordered the ahi tuna tartare and baked French onion soup to share as our appetizers, both were delicious and would recommend. We also shared the Seared Scallops - the scallops themselves were sweet and cooked perfectly, however the wilted greens & edamame that came with was just blah...There was no vibrant green color that normally you see with edamame. The color of the plate looked off putting. Baked potato & garlic mash - A+! Cocktails were also very tasty! Our opinions were changed this night and we definitely look forward to coming again! Nice job JD!!

Yelp
Swing and a miss. If you're looking for a Del Frisco/Flemings/Ruth Chris level place- look somewhere else. Drinks were good, service was great but food was beyond over hyped. My husband had a $78 dry aged ribeye and honestly, it was giving Applebees
google avatar

Jayson D.

Yelp
A stalwart Madison establishment for well fired steaks and balanced cocktails. Delmonico's is a worthwhile splurge. Popular among locals and visitors alike. Generous portions and attentive servers. The table near the fireplace is a tight squeeze--no room to lean back--so ask ahead if you're 6'4". But we were reseated without any hassle. Sampled the shrimp cocktail and stuffed mushrooms apps. Shrimp are big and meaty, and the shrooms are themselves stuffed with little steak bits. Had the 16 oz ribeye entree. Pro tip: Ask for the marrow butter. It costs extra, but it's savory as all get out. Was less impressed with the apple crumble dessert, but the creme brûlée was great. And their dirty martinis and old fashioneds are reasons alone to visit. I'd go back!

Yelp
I would happily return with very high expectations. We had prime steaks. Cocktails were Excellent.

Yelp
Returned to JD last night after a couple of frustrating experiences. Needless to say, there has been a transformative improvement. We were promptly seated in the front window with a great view of the street. Waitress greeted us warmly and took our drink order. We ordered our usual .... Wedge salads, six ounce filets medium and potato sides. Wifey requested baked and I went for the garlic mashed. The salads were delicious, choice of French or blue cheese dressing, and topped with bacon bits. Presentation was pretty straightforward. Steaks came with a beautiful presentation but were slightly over cooked. Acceptable but not perfect as you would expect from fine dining at a steak house. Potatoes came hot to the table and were generous portions. We also ordered mushroom to share and they came perfectly prepared and added value to the meal. It was a special night for us. Wifeys birthday. We were catered to and even given a complimentary dessert for home. Service was excellent. Food preparation was exemplary and quality control from the kitchen was superb. We sincerely appreciated the extra attention given to us by the manager and waitress.

Yelp
Before our last visit 2022 we visited this restaurant very often--the female manager and wait staff knew us and our preferences. She was always friendly and assured our visit was memorable. Wait staff was equally as friendly and the food was impeccable, including cocktails. 2022--we visited with our usual high expectations. We ordered cocktails and a number of appetizers. The waiter was efficient and friendly. We requested a short delay for our entrees. Within a couple minutes the entrees arrived because the manager told the chef to prepare them and had no communication with the server. The manager made no effort to apologize. Three steaks were very overcooked. Within approxitematly ten minutes the manager told us we had to vacate the table because another group was waiting. We are not visiting until the management treats customers and servers respectfully.

Yelp
Solid steakhouse. The steaks are delicious and the sides are big-portioned. The steaks are also prepared well -- medium is medium and medium rare is medium rate. The potato hash was crispy and enjoyable. I might have dined here when it was busier than normal, but that meant that service was lacking more often than not.

Yelp
Fantastic. We had a party of 14 or so. I had the best burger of my life. You are probably asking....Cristie, you didn't order a steak? Well....I knew I would get to taste everyone else's. So I chose the delicious, juicy, messy burger. We ordered a bunch of apps. We are a bunch of NY'ers and can be picky about calamari...at least 5 people said it was the best they had ever had. I loved it. The squash salad...a bit spicy but tasty. The French onion soup was superb. Service was impeccable. The waitress was so fantastic. This was an experienced, engaged and fantastic waitress. This woman was fine dining at its best. Definitely go here.... :-)

Yelp
We had a family reunion with 25 people. The staff and food were excellent. One of my brothers said he thinks it was the best dining experience he can remember.

Yelp
Luke and the bar head are great managers. Thanks for the best seats in the house. Love, Jon (dude with Grateful Dead shirt) and Crystal

Yelp
The service is always so great here. Athena and Allie took such great care of me yesterday, & the rest of the staff is also so welcoming and so sweet. The beef tartar is always gonna be one of my favorite appetizers, 10/10 service, food and staff every single time I go!

Yelp
Fantastic meal at the end of a long week. The restaurant has a great environment that feels classy yet isn't too upscale for shorts. The service was amazing as well. We had the beef tartare, bone-in ribeye, filet, mushroom risotto, and asparagus. Everything was perfect. The steaks were cooked to perfection and very tender. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Joe W.

Yelp
I've been here twice and had a great experience each time. I got the dry aged New York strip both times. If you haven't tried a dry aged steak, this is the place to do it. Amazing. They also have very good mashed potato's and the tuna tar tar was a great app. I've also had the chocolate cake for desert which is HUGE (you will for sure have left overs with two people, it probably feeds 4?) but the cake was a little dense for me personally. Great service and nice people/vibe.

Yelp
Great food, terrific service, quiet atmosphere. Coming here next time in town for business

Yelp
Top notch. We were greeted with a smile and those smiles continued throughout our evening. We actually felt like they were happy to have us! What a welcomed experience as so many times service falls short. It was our first time here and Mandy was very gracious and helpful. Now the food. It was scrumptious! If not the best we've had as of late. Started with calamari. Not chewy at all and the sauce was so good! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the au poivre add on was delicious! The mushrooms on the other steak were big and plenty of them. Served with choice of potato. We had garlic mashed, but saw the hash browns at another table and wondered if we should have chose those! Brandy old fashioned was perfect. Brandy Alexander was served more as a liquid (rather than thick ice cream) in a martini glass. Also very good. Great place for a special occasion. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
TLDR: Food was good and staff were very friendly and helpful. I went here for my birthday and made reservations ahead of time. I called ahead to ask about the parking situation and the staff member who answered was helpful in pointing me towards a nearby parking garage. When I arrived they said happy birthday to me and poked me to my table, no having to wait around. The waiter was very attentive and helpful when I asked questions about the menu. I was also surprised he gave me a free desert for my birthday, thank you! I ordered the steak medium rare and it arrived that way. It was very flavorful and I also had it topped with black garlic butter. The potatoes were tasty as well, although slightly colder than I would have liked. They were more warm than hot. The mac and cheese had some bread crumbs on top that it could've gone without but it that wasn't a very big deal at all. Overall I had a very good experience here. The staff were friendly, wished me a happy birthday, and the food tasted great. I would recommend coming here if you need somewhere nice to celebrate a special occasion.

Tash M.

Yelp
My wife had a divergent experience from mine at this place. If it were up to me, this wouldn't be a great review. However, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they just scored low with only me due to the quality of food (I ordered the filet mignon, the crab Louie and the apple tart). The crab Louie was full of lettuce and very little crab. The filet was just not flavored well and whoever makes their desserts should be fired, hired again just so they can be fired all over again. My wife got the dry aged NY strip with bone marrow sauce. The server recommended the bone marrow and the recommendation was on point. I felt like the server was not friendly enough and even came off as rude due to how she conducted herself. I would likely not go back to this place, unless the wife really insisted on it.
google avatar

Yelp
The service was outstanding and the steaks were phenomenal! Highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for steak. Hands down the best ribeye I've ever had.

Yelp
Fantastic family dinner. Kerry took care and f us. Amazing food and even better service. I can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Simply a wonderful experience, but mainly due to the staff. They are just fantastic. A big thank you to Jo, who made the meal just so much better. I ordered the 16oz rib eye, medium rare with a coating of peppercorns. It came out more medium, but I was fine with that. One of our group sent their steak back because it was over cooked. I was to hungry to do that. We had garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms in onions as sides. I wish they had told us how much mashed potato there was as it was huge. In all, the service was outstanding. Jo was an amazing server. She got the extra star on this review because of how she handled the poor parts.

Yelp
My wife and I had a date night in Madison starting off at Johnny Delmonico's. While parking in the area around the capital is usually challenging, we were fortunate to find something close by. The restaurant is modern and classy inside. Lots of rich wood and white linens. We skipped apps as our server advised that portions are sizable and we were attending a show so we didn't want to be over full. Drinks were very good and there were specialty options on the menu with a portion of proceeds going to charity. My wife had the Butternut Gnocchi and I had a Tenderloin ala Oscar. The gnocchi was tender, rich and delicious. The restaurant offered a half order which was a nice option and enough for my wife. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked with a nice crust and topped with delicious crab and bernaise sauce. We finished dinner with coffee, espresso, and a tasty lemon raspberry panna cotta from the special menu. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Highly recommended and we will return next time we're in the area!

Yelp
I debated on this rating because while it was an overall good experience, I don't know that I'd choose it over say Tornado. We had reservations on a busy Friday night of Valentine's weekend and sat in the "private" dining room portion of the restaurant. It was very loud and the acoustics didn't lend themselves to an intimate dinner for two by any stretch of the imagination. There were two servers for this room of (I believe) 8 tables and they were stretched. The bar was backed up and we waited quite some time to place our drink order and then for the drinks themselves. I enjoyed the French martini - twice. It was excellent! We started with a wedge salad and loved it. Fresh iceberg, bacon, and a combo of French and blue cheese dressings with green onions - great crisp flavor. A warm bread delivery a bit later further whetted our appetites. For my entree I ordered the 6 oz filet and it was perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. The bordelaise sauce I ordered was tangy and actually accented my hash browns really well in addition to the steak. We ordered the brussel sprouts to share and while they weren't what I expected - more of a hash and not crispy - the Gruyère cream and bacon came through really well and it was a great complement to the rest of the meal. The only disappointment was dessert. I ordered the creme brûlée and it was lacking in both flavor and texture. Minimal caramelization was noted. The three flavors listed are owed to the toppings and the custard itself was thick, bland, and quite cold. I left it behind unfinished. All in all, a fine (expensive) meal in a less than romantic or intimate setting.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Lobster bisque and French Onion soup was delicious! I had the Filet and my daughter had the RibEye. Both cooked perfectly! Service was great!

Yelp
Bed experience due to terrible service, completely ignored and left to ask hostess for assistance multiple times, and then the server was rude when he came back. not returning.

Yelp
JD has tapped the market for a delicious and perfectly prepared steak. Fish, however, dry and not as well prepared though pricey. I recommend the steak with baked potato and mushroom risotto. The steak does NOT need anything on it, no sauce at all. Halibut was dry as mentioned. My husband didnt enjoy that near as much. The side he chose was rice pilaf, which interesting, is mostly wild rice without much flavor. Not recommended. Get the risotto. Hashbrowns come as a large "pancake" style hash. Not what I expected so I either should have asked more questions or ordered the baked potato. Wonderful cocktail options, perfect Old Fash, wine selection is great and the per glass selection is adequate. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and evening out at JD. We may return after trying other restaurants in the area first. Worthy of a date night, special event steak night. Overall the service was fantastic and we were well cared for. Parking garage is literally in the same building just behind the entrance. Don't bother the streets especially in the evening. ++ since posting, I've received an offer from the restaurant to return I'll update after that visit. They were sincerely interested in making the food portion of the review, better than par. I respect that.

Yelp
Went here and the food was delicious. They have a fantastic steak menu with fillets, ribeyes, and new york strips. I also have to mention the service. As we were going into the restaurant, the staff was dealing with a very unruly party of 10 before us demanding to be seated at a table that was clearly only set for 6 with the rest of the restaurant totally full. The staff though handled the group with class - finding additional chairs and reorganizing the restaurant's table layout to accommodate the group. They were nothing but nice despite having to deal with patrons who actually were yelling. Needless to say the service is great. I would highly recommend!

Yelp
Got the 10 oz Filet with Garlic Mashed. Was amazing!! The service was good too. Wish they offered valet service though.

Yelp
I've visited Johnny Delmonicos many times in the past couple of years. I'ved watched their menu evolve to what is today and always note improvement. No, its not a primehouse like Rare, but they serve a solid Angus beef steak. In the past years, the steaks have always been spot on. Additions have been made like the bone-in tenderloin. While other places on the square do offer dry aged beef (somewhere around a 30 day dry age), I have noticed that Johnnys dry age steak has a lot more of the characteristic flavor (who also claims about a 30 day dry age). Whenever I goto Johnnys with my girlfriend, she will get a non-beef option. This is probably where I have noticed the most improvement. So many great fish, chicken, pork, and lamb options that are perfectly cooked and uniquely spiced. These options have changed over time and continue to improve. The sides are simple. A variety of potatoes and vegetable options. Cooked perfectly and given what is expected every time. Service is always stellar. We always get the same waitress because she always does a outstanding job taking care of us.

Yelp
Not bad but leaves something to be desired. slightly cheaper, yet inferior to "Rare" only a block away. Large portions, especially for the beef tartare which is particularly good. Interior decor is a little bland, and the service felt rushed.

April N.

Yelp
The staff has always been amazing here. The chefs work around my food allergies better than anyone ever has. The environment is very intimate and classy. Just an all around 10 for this place from me.

Ken S.

Yelp
Started with lobster bisque, which was nice. Then moved to the small filet Oscar which was correctly cooked to the desired medium rare. My wife received a perfectly cooked medium filet, both accompanied by awesome garlic mashed. We finished the meal with a slice of cheesecake which was pretty good but for me, a bit too much cinnamon but I did eat more than my half. This is probably our new favorite fine dining restaurant since moving to the Madison area. We will be back.

Tried this steakhouse for my dad's retirement dinner and we were not disappointed. There were 5 of us at the table and we all ordered a different type of steak, and we all loved each one. Every steak comes with a large portion (enough for 2+ people) of mashed potatoes, hash browns, or a baked potato. I was nervous to book her because we are from out of town, but I followed the other reviews and they were accurate! Hope to go back again sometime!

Yelp
"WOW" what a great dining experience! Calamari was great with a yummy Asian twist, the Tuna tar tar was melt in your mouth. The Dover Sole was impeccably prepared table side. Steaks were out of this world accompanied with killer hash browns and yummy a la carte sides. Great atmosphere and top notch servers. Yes, recommended!

Yelp
They're open! We had great service and food. Loved the stuffed mushroom appetizer, halibut, and steaks. Bread basket was delicious and they brought more as it disappeared. Great drinks, ambiance, and decor. We were in town for daughter's graduation and made a day of reservation through open table for Friday night.

Yelp
We picked this restaurant for our 32 wedding anniversary and looked forward to a delicious meal. However, we were sadly disappointed. We had one steak not cooked as ordered, mushrooms and potatoes forgotten from our meal. When the steaks were cooked correctly they were delicious! My husband loved the crab legs! On the other hand, we had a wonderful waiter but quite slow service. I wish I could say they were busy, however there were two waiters for five tables. Not sure if we'll return.

Yelp
Good steakhouse with great sides. I prefer the Ribeye and that's all I've had.. Mashed potatoes and asparagus are very good and nice wine selection... weekends Better make a reservation.

Yelp
I had the 14oz dry aged strip. My wife had the wedge and the tuna tartare. All were fabulous including the bread. The service was very attentive, Dylan was amazing!

Yelp
Chicago area guy here so steakhouses are subject to an extra critical eye . A buddy and I are there last night. Great deco decor, excellent staff and classic jazz not Rat Pac house music. (Which is a dammed cliche these days) I started with a perfect Vesper Martini from the drink menu. Huge points for featuring this Bond classic on the cocktail menu. Starters were an impeccable lobster bisque for me and a classic ice berg wedge for my dining companion. We split a 14oz dry aged NY Strip a baked potato and the requisite creamed spinach. The steak was flavorful and perfectly done, the potato as well. The creamed spinach was possibly the best I've ever had. If you are up in Madison I strongly recommend this place. Oh and the bill was a pleasant surprise!
