"Chef Jamie Daskalis snubbed tradition and converted a former Pizza Hut into a breakfast institution where funfetti waffles and a lox and onion Benedict is the reason there’s always a line snaking around the building on any given Saturday morning." - Andre James

"Any morning driver pass by this converted Pizza Hut (the signature roof is the giveaway ) There’s a throng of people, standing, sitting on the curb, and salivating while waiting their turn to get inside Johnny D’s for country-fried steak and eggs. In the land of pancakes, chef Jamie Daskalis took another route focusing on red velvet and funfetti to be different and it has paid off tremendously." - D.R.E. James

I was looking for a good local breakfast place, and stumbled upon Johnny D's on the internet. We had seen billboards for it around town which further cemented the fact that we should come visit. My sister and I visited around 9 am on a Saturday and were seated immediately. The menu had a lot of offerings that were unique from other breakfast places I have been to. Cloe was our server, was very nice, and checked in on us frequently. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette and added spinach, and had a fruit cup as my side instead of grits. I also got white toast. My sister ordered a red velvet waffle and a side of home fries. The red velet waffle was delicious! I had just a bite- but it was fluffy and flavorful. The home fries were well-seasoned and tasted great. The omelette was delicious and had just the amount of bacon, spinach, and cheese that I hoped for. The fruit cup was also good, the fruit tasted fresh. The prices were reasonable for a local breakfast place. Overall, I had a really good time here and would definitely come back.

Everything you've ever dreamt your breakfast would be! Olivia, our server, is fantastic and so attractive-an all-American sweetheart! She made sure we were taken good care of. They cooked everything to order, excellently, and promptly. Their place is clean, and they have high scored their sanitation inspection. Available gift shop goodies, outdoor seating, full bar, and check out the extensive selection of their menu (see pics). The parking lot was well kept, and the staff was welcoming and on point.

Google
A Must-Visit for Breakfast Lovers! Johnny D’s Waffles and Benedicts in Surfside is a breakfast dream come true! The menu is packed with creative, mouthwatering options — from sweet and indulgent waffles to savory benedicts and omelets that hit the spot. I ordered the red velvet waffle, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had — crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, the ingredients fresh, and everything comes out hot and beautifully plated. The staff was welcoming and attentive, even with a full house. You can tell they know what they’re doing, and the service moves fast without feeling rushed. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet, savory, or a little of both, Johnny D's delivers. Definitely a highlight of my trip — I’ll be coming back next time I’m in town!

Google
Yummy! We were told the wait was 20mins and we waited exactly 18 mins. Our waitress was sweet and timely and the owner & chef delivered food hot and ready to the table herself. You can she cares about it getting to the table hot & fresh. This place was slammed but ran efficiently. The management was managing and helping which I love seeing! Everything we ordered was delicious. People were happy and families were being fed. :)

Google
I saw this was a highly recommended place to visit while in town and thankfully it lived up to the hype. I ordered the jambalaya omelette, the crab & shrimp omelette, the famous red velvet waffle and a banana split waffle. Being a Louisiana native that jambalaya omelette lived up to its name especially with the right amount of spice, the crab & shrimp had more crab than I anticipated which was a great surprise. The red velvet waffle is a definite must have and doesn’t need any syrup whatsoever, as for the banana split well it’s a great excuse for a kid to have ice cream for breakfast. All in all was very happy to visit here Slava our waiter was very kind and courteous to us, very attentive and even gave some recommendations on places to visit. If you’re in Myrtle Beach or visiting you have to stop by here.

Google
Looking for a great local place while in Myrtle Beach for work. Johnny D's came highly recommended so we gave it a shot. Walking in I had my heart set on Chicken and Waffles. And, while they do have chicken and waffles, the selection of Benedicts called my name. I had the Irish Benedict and it was awesome!! Coffee was great as well...and I saved the best for last. Our service was phenomenal. I worked in the restaurant business for 20 years and I know how hard and demanding breakfast serving is. Cloe was simply fantastic at her job. She handled her section perfectly and never wavered from smiling and being so friendly. That is very special now a days especially in a touristy area. So thank you for a great breakfast!!!

Google
Great place for brunch, but be prepared to wait. The waffles were fluffy, fresh and flavorful with plenty of options. Eggs Benedict had a generous amount of creamy hollandaise and the chicken fried steak was tender and juicy. Will definitely be coming back here on our next beach trip.

Jamie Cook

Google
This was our first time eating here. The food was delicious, and our food arrived hot and fairly quickly. The only issue is it is a little noisy, but we will be back. I ordered the Irish Benedict (the eggs were poaced perfectly), and my husband ordered the Chipotle Bacon Skillet.

John W.

Yelp
Best omelette and grits I've ever had. Sourdough toast is a thing? Yes please. This is the place to hit if you're in the area. It's busy, but worth the wait. Wife's food (sorry, coming back to this review after a while) was amazing.

Kate A.

Yelp
This place has Joplin and had a long wait with people pouring out the front door onto their front patio. Luckily they have a couple covers tables for people to sit and wait in the shade. There's also a decent amount of parking. Everything here food wise was amazing! For breakfast on the first day we tried the Benedict's! They were well composed, flavorful and hot. The grits were especially wonderful and already full of butter and cheese when they came out. Bacon was perfect. We came back a second day for lunch during a weekday and it was less crowded. We tried the French dip sandwich and brisket tacos. Oh my! Both were equally great and I'd go have gone back a third time if we didn't have to leave that day. Service was amazing and the food came out really fast. Our waitress kept our coffee full and we never had to ask for anything. She was Johnny on the spot!

Yelp
It is certainly an experience. Some may find it more appealing than others. First of all the staff are super nice, helpful and fast. And the food is good for the most part (more later), but the real X factor is the ambiance. As many others mentioned it is loud in there. This probably appeals to some but from my perspective the place could use some level of sound dampening. Everything echoes and it is a bit jarring early in the morning. I had the chipotle bacon skillet which was good, the best part was the chipotle drizzle, and the English muffin which was perfect. Honestly I didn't taste any bacon in it despite the title of the dish. That said it was good. My wife had the jambalaya omelet with a side of pancakes. Shockingly the pancakes were the least exciting part of the meal. They could have used more butter and you need every drop of syrup there is. The gentleman at the table next to us asked for extra and he used 3 cups on his which may be overkill but the sweet spot lies somewhere in the middle for us. I'm glad we went, very filling and it was an experience for sure.

Amber E.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. They have so much to offer, literally. Their menu is quite extensive. I ended up going with the Monte Cristo French Toast, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The kids liked it too, they kept wanting to eat off my plate . I also got a sunrise mimosa. There was so much to look at on the menu, I want to come back and try their skillets. Everything looks so good! There is also plenty of seating. It's good for groups, a singular person or a couple. The service was also pretty decent. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food and their time there. My sister did wish that her omelette was a bit more flavorful though.

Bob T.

Yelp
It was OK but not great. This was our first time in Myrtle Beach, and we were astounded by the number of pancake/waffle houses. We knew we needed to try at least one, and based on our online research, this was the one to try. The place is very plain, with low ceilings and bare walls, which contributes to its noise. There is a lot of noise. The service is quick, which, combined with the noise, means people get in, eat quickly, and leave without lingering. I ordered their Red Velvet Waffle because that's what they're known for. The first bite was tasty, not unlike biting into a piece of cake. All the other bites were the same, and it got a bit tiring after a while. I recommend splitting this with someone if there's someone with whom to split it and share some eggs. However, my wife ordered an omelet and said it was very greasy, so there's that.

Cynthia N.

Yelp
The food was hot and delicious we both had waffles loved them . I had grits since I'm not eating sausage or bacon the substitute grits or home fries for that . My husband enjoyed his also . We would definitely go back they get you in and out manager comes around and says how's it going quirky but nice and to the point .

Valerie V.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. Full of great options for both sweet and savory! I couldn't decide since so many things looked great but opted for the banana pecan pancakes. They were huge. I only ate one and brought the rest home. The service was great and the food came out so quickly. The manager stopped by the table to ensure everything was good. I'd definitely eat here again and again if and when I'm back in the area.

Anne S.

Yelp
Came here because of the hype. If you're wanting waffles, absolutely come here. Your choices are mind-blowing and I found the menu a little overwhelming. Unfortunately I ordered an egg over medium and received an egg that wasn't fully cooked. I abhor loose egg whites yet that's what I got. With a very runny yolk. The bacon is mediocre and I'm of the opinion a better quality meat would enhance the dining experience. I didn't even eat the bacon and instead gave it to someone else at the table. The waffles, though, are delicious. Not sure about returning. I'd actually rate this 3.5 stars but my choices are 3 or 4 and I don't think it's quite a 4 star experience. On the other hand, my kids did (they had the fancier waffles) so I guess it depends on who's eating what.

Kai M.

Yelp
First, I love the mission this place stands for and can appreciate a chef with creativity. Next, service was fair, thanks Paige for getting our food to us on time. I did wish that more support was given with menu suggestions, especially to first-time diners. I often felt confused about the menu, which was extensive, but the responses given didn't help much. Overall, it didn't stop us from choosing what we did. Now, I would say that I wished that we went with the popular selections because neither of us enjoyed our full meals. I'll provide a breakdown below: My dish: Southern Brisket Bowl- While I enjoyed the brisket part of my dish, the mixture of flavors weren't appetizing at all. I think there was a little too much happening on the plate so my tastebuds weren't sure on which direction to go when it came to finding a tasty balance. I would have been happy eating the brisket with more of that yummy corn muffin because both were tasty. My boyfriend's dish: Traditional pancakes with bacon and eggs- My boyfriend's pancakes were terrible-very chewy with no flavor. Also, I'm not sure if the syrup to pancake ratio was considered beforehand but his pancakes needed way more syrup than we were offered. So it was a sad mixture of dry top and chewy inside- neither was appealing to him. His eggs unfortunately, didn't help much and I think the only thing he enjoyed were his bacon. Now, I'm fair at giving restaurants another chance so I'm not striking this place from my records just yet. I think that with my next visit, I'll go for what Yelpers suggest as Yelp normally gave more info. And while the staff was sweet in personality, I wasn't happy with the food especially it being our last meal before our trip ended. Overall, it is a local favorite so I'll be back for sure.

Jaden B.

Yelp
We found Johnny D's the first time we visited Myrtle Beach back in 2021 and have visited every trip since then! It's a family favorite, and everyone is always able to find something they like. The food is delicious, drinks are always great (I usually go with mimosas but did the strawberry lemonade this time) prices are reasonable and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. It's a popular spot but they do a good job of juggling the crowds... we've never had to wait too long, even on a busy weekend. It's giving classic diner, kicked up a notch- and I'm here for it! We will be back again in the future.

Georgia V.

Yelp
Never again for me. The menu was too large. We (5 of us) made our selection which I thought would take awhile to be served. It took less than 10 mins when it was very crowded. Everything looked good served but it was cool. I ordered Salmon Benedict. The poached eggs were cold as well as the sauce. I expected the bagel to be toasted. It was not. None of our party enjoyed nor liked their meal. We got tired of swatting gnats. I can say the wait is short and food is served quickly. The waiter was pleasant and attentive. I suggest a smaller selection in order to serve the food hot. Quick service is a plus but not at the expense of quality.

Ben H.

Yelp
Johnny D's Waffles and Benedict's is a charming breakfast diner that exudes a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The food was undeniably delicious, with a special shoutout to their homemade corn beef hash, which was my personal favorite. However, be prepared for prices that are slightly higher than anticipated, though still within reasonable range. Overall, a great spot for a satisfying breakfast with loved ones.

Gina P.

Yelp
Listen. The food was good. It wasn't out of this world, but it was good. Didn't taste anything I didn't like. But the service? Incredible. Shout out to Stacy! Everyone else in the restaurant was very friendly as well. Food came out quickly. Very clean and vibes were great. Couldn't have had a better experience! We had The Ultimate, Banana Split Pancakes, and Banana Bread French Toast. All good!

Bruce W.

Yelp
They really don't need my review, everything, and I mean everything was incredible. I can't say enough about the menu and variety. The quality of the food was outstanding. The greeting was warm and honest. Our waitress was very, very good. We even met the owner, she's the daughter of the founder. It's quite a story. Tried brisket benedicts for the first time and wow. Never would have thought of this combination. The grits were maybe the best I have ever had, anywhere. Wife had a waffle, eggs and sausage. Again, really, really good. If you need a breakfast in the Myrtle Beach area, please give them a visit. They have three locations now. We've been here since February 2020 and I cannot understand how I had not tried them. Went back for another meal with a family group. Everyone loved their meals and are now hooked. Got to chat with Jamie again and I can't say enough about her. She deserves your business and really appreciates her customers.

Shannon B.

Yelp
What a great local spot for yummy pancakes but the entire menu has a great array of specials. First time in before we hit the beach and will be back. Great staff make it worth it.

April L.

Yelp
This is a family favorite when we are in Myrtle Beach! The staff is so friendly and the food is always good. Lots of unique food options. A little pricier but it's a tourist town and you do get a lot of food.

Corah D.

Yelp
This was a cute, quaint little place, locally owned restaurant that I really enjoyed on our CCMF vacvacation. The pork belly Benedict was spot on delicious! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Overall experience was great! Would come here again. Ohh the red velvet waffle was yummy too!

John P.

Yelp
The food was the best all around for our 6 days so far. The service was THE Best service as well. Our server was on point! I wish I could remember her name. This is our Go to spot now. Extremely fast bringing food out. We thought Blueberries would be our number one for breakfast but all 9 in our family agreed that Johnny D's is the best

Fula O.

Yelp
I typically don't like to wait to eat breakfast . My patience is thin foe that first meal of the day. We arrived at Johnny D's and was told it would be a 30 min wait. I had a coffee and a seat outside so I was content to wait. We ended up getting called within 20 min to be seated in their fairly spacious dining room and a nice size table for the 4 of us. Server game over fairly quickly and got our drink orders started. It was decision time. To waffle of not to waffle. I rarely eat waffles and decided to go for it. We ordered Banana Bread French Toast Red velvet waffles Pecan waffles with eggs and sausage Everything was amazing. The waffles were soft but slightly crisp. Worth every calorie of indulgence. The banana bread french toast was a great twist on preference of challah bread. Definitely worth the wait

Patricia A.

Yelp
Came in to Johnny D's Waffle and Bakery for breakfast and waffles, of course. Place was packed and people and they kept coming in. Considering how many people were waiting we were seated pretty fast. Employee at the front counter was welcoming and friendly. Ambiance is casual and laid back. The dining area isn't too big, but it is big enough to serve a good size crowd. Just a tip, make sure your party is with you because they will not seat you until you're all here. FOOD CINNAROLL WAFFLE 11.59 Cinnamon Sauce Swirled right into the Waffle & Drizzled with Cream Cheese Icing, Topped with Powdered Sugar and Butter. This waffle was really good. It had the exact same flavor as a cinnamon roll and it was a good choice. In my opinion, it was more like a dessert versus a breakfast, but it was good. WAFFLE PLATTER 14.28 Housemade Belgian Waffle w/ Two Eggs and Bacon or Sausage, served with Butter & Syrup. Bacon was crispy and delicious. Eggs were well done. And the waffles were very good. 2 Eggs 9.14 INCLUDES BACON OR SAUSAGE OR HAM Does platter was simple but delicious. It had two eggs, homestyle, bacon and home fries. Home fries weren't actually fries they were cubed, potatoes with very good seasoning. This is a simple platter, but very delicious. POUND CAKE FRENCH TOAST 10.42 Our Housemade Pound Cake Dipped in Vanilla Custard, Grilled, Topped with Fresh Strawberries & Whipped Cream POUND CAKE FRENCH TOAST 10.42 Our Housemade Pound Cake Dipped in Vanilla Custard, Grilled, Topped with Fresh Strawberries & Whipped Cream Pound cake toast is two pieces of poundcake with strawberries and whip cream and a side of syrup. Not the best choice. Poundcake crumbled as you try to slice it with your fork. It was a bit dry and difficult to pick up with the strawberries and syrup. Gave up half way through. Portio small enough for one person, but not enough to be shareable. Food was OK.

Ciara H.

Yelp
Johnny D's is my new go to for sure! The service was great from the host to our server, and everything came out pretty fast for how busy the restaurant was. If there is a wait, just know it's worth it. We started with breakfast shots (my favorite) They have SOO many waffles to choose from. There is something for everyone from sweet to savory. They have other things if you're not feeling a waffle.

Rutdy L.

Yelp
The food was okay ! It was greasy unless you want that then go! But I was looking for a healthier choice

Janae T.

Yelp
Johnny D's was pretty busy and I see they hype. Ironically I did not get a waffle because I wasn't craving a sweet breakfast that morning. BUT I had got the skillet which was just as delicious. As busy as it was our server was attentive to us and checked on us frequently. The wait wasn't that long either. On the inside there is nothing notable really just a retailer seating restaurant. There were a few tables outside but it's super hot outside. 10/10 when I visit Myrtle again I'm Definitely coming back

Olivia M.

Yelp
The pancakes are amazing! My bf loved the cinnamon waffle! Our service was good and quick. It's a very busy place And can be difficult to have conversation. It's decorated for Christmas and the decor is a homey feeling.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
5 stars. Wish we had taken photos of the food. Cinnamon waffle was amazing. And I know people say this but it was not too sweet. Service was very very fast. It was a tiny bit loud. But I could still talk without raising my voice. I can imagine it gets super busy during the summer season so come early.

Anna K.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The food is very good classic southern food. The staff is nice and friendly and even though it's a small southern chain it still has a small town feel. And according to my brother, " for a Waffle House, they have great pancakes!"

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Ordered the Irish Benedict sub grits for home fries. It was absolutely a gourmet experience. Finished every bite. The food alone is a reason to give them your money but you won't usually wait longer than 5 minutes for a table even when they are so busy because the employees work together quickly to get the tables bussed in seconds. The food comes out super quick and it's so good you scarf and go so the table turnaround time is lighting fast. Great service. Good prices. I love the Chef Jamie D's culinary education display in the entrance and the autism awareness inserts in the napkin holders. Our daughter is autistic so the awareness is very cool. This will always be my spot of choice for breakfast when visiting Myrtle!

Fioanna R.

Yelp
The pecan waffle satisfied my craving for a waffle. It wasn't sweet like I anticipated but it was good. The bacon wasn't crispy but it tasted decent. (I actually haven't found a restaurant yet that serves/cooks crispy bacon here) The eggs were good. Nothing too extravagant to report there. The sausage.... Definitely needed some tanning. A little light colored for our liking. My daughter LOVED her chocolate chip pancakes and barely used the syrup. He said the pancakes were a little tough but the sausage gravy on his chicken fried steak was pretty good. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I've heard about the wait times, we arrived and it was packed but we only had a 15 min. wait. All in all we'd probably visit again and try something else. Overall it's a pretty nice breakfast spot!

Chris C.

Yelp
Awesome Food and great service. First time in Myrtle beach, looking for something to eat after long drive, ended up here and quite honestly were blown away. I had the pork belly Benedict and the red velvet waffle, my daughter has the hash Benedict and every this was delicious. Highly recommend.

Laura G.

Yelp
We were greeted promptly upon arrival. All the staff were super sweet. I had the western omelette with pancakes. It was so delicious. I ate half and saved the other half for lunch as it was a bigger potion. The cost was a little expensive for breakfast, but I understand the quality of the food was certainly worth it. Great meal, super nice and efficient staff.

Wael D.

Yelp
Came here because I saw that this place is doing amazing with reviews on yelp so figured it had to be good and my wife and I were blown away. The wife ordered an omelette (don't remember which one) and I order a skillet (also don't remember which one) and we had to share the red velvet waffle. Honestly everything tasted incredible and it was well worth the 30 minute wait to be seated. Our server was very cool and helped us figure out what to order because everything on the menu looks so good. It'll definitely be a new regular spot whenever we are in Myrtle beach. The inside of the restaurant was very loud and very cold just so you go there prepared with a hoodie at least. Either way I highly recommend trying this place but try to get there early to beat the wait times.

Jerran N.

Yelp
Ohhhhhhhh what a joy this place was. I went searching for breakfast places on Yelp and this GEM popped up. We arrived a little around 11:30 and were immediately seated. The hostess made great suggestions on what to get. I ordered the Churro French Toast and my daughter ordered the funfetti waffle. The strawberries were super fresh and tasty. The French toast was warm with tasty icing for overall deliciousness. My daugther destroyed her waffle. She asked to go back. The bacon on the side was nice and crispy. I could do without the potatoes. If I'm ever in mrytle beach again I'll surely stop by.

Julyana T.

Yelp
We came around 9AM on a Saturday. The place was bustling but not too crowded. There were a few parties in front of us, but we didn't have to wait long. We stood in line to get seated and within few minutes we weee greeted and seated. Our server came soon after and was attentive. She took our drink orders followed by our breakfast order. Our food came daily fast as well. I enjoyed my fried chicken biscuit with gravy. Everyone in my family enjoyed theirs as well. A well run place with good tasting food.

Cam L.

Yelp
The food was not the best. I got the Chiro French Toast and it was honestly really bad I would not get it again. My hot hot cocoa was cold it was just bad. The food looks better than it tastes. My dad's Irish skillet and ranked 8.9/10. The service was quick and friendly. The service was the only way that they'd not get a 2 star. The place was loud and noisy.

Emily S.

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy this place. The reviews and the photos attracted me to try Johnny D's out. I was told I would have about a 10 min wait and it turned out to be about 2 min, which was a plus! First impression-- the restaurant is LOUD. Like 50-60+ decibels loud. There is nothing soft in the restaurant to absorb the sound at all and honestly it was hard to hear the person sitting next to me. Not great for breakfast conversations. Next impression-- our waitress (Mya) was not the greatest. We waited quite a while between receiving our drinks, to ordering, to getting our food. She also gave me quite a nasty look when my 3 year old changed her mind and wanted butter on her waffle (and she ignored me when I requested it, because it arrived without butter). 3 year olds change their minds a lot, it's just part of the territory. I understand that it was a busy morning, but the attitude was unnecessary. Sorry Mya. Food was half and half. My husband had a California Benedict that he said was wonderful! My dad had a pecan waffle platter that he enjoyed. I have dietary restrictions, so I partially chose this place based on the fact that they offer a gluten & dairy free pancake. It came with 4 pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar. In my opinion, the batter was over spiced, and the pancakes were very undercooked, some spots being raw. They honestly kind of left a bad aftertaste in the mouth. Kind of a bummer. I was really hopeful to enjoy Johnny D's as I appreciate the chef/owners story. Maybe I'll try it again some day and see how it goes.

Ree T.

Yelp
The service itself was great. I was really appreciative of the server acknowledging the limited vegan options. The coffee was good and the number of checkins given by the server was just right. The food was good, just nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is casual and family friendly. The noise level was indicative of people enjoying themselves over good food.

Nathan H.

Yelp
Overall impression: Food was good. Atmosphere was kind and welcoming. Service was good. Food came quickly. Place was clean. First time ever visit from out of state. Would I return to eat there again? Yes. The wallet: For 2 adults and 2 kids It was almost $80 including tip and that wasn't eating the most expensive things on the menu. You could easily go over $100 We ate there for breakfast. Average breakfast price $15. Low end maybe $10, high end $20. Cons/concerns: Some famous chef owns the chain now and won't let you take certain food items off of your selection as it will apparently change the taste of the dish For example, I asked for no tomato on my Street Corn Omelette and the server told me I can't do that. This could pose a problem for those with food sensitivities. Things to avoid: Pancakes - they're way overpriced and "meh" Things to know: You'll want to get there earlier for breakfast to avoid long waits.

Devin C.

Yelp
The western omelette and Irish skillet were delicious! We shared a red velvet waffle which was phenomenal! Highly recommend this place! We could eat here every meal if we could!!

Candace E.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was great... atmosphere was horrible. It is too LOUD in the restaurant. I had trouble hearing the people at my table and my waitress. We just ate and left. We didn't mind the 30 minute wait.

Debbie K.

Yelp
Great breakfast selections at good prices. I love to get the pork belly Benedict just a nice twist from the classic. I also love to get the red velvet waffle. The icing is just compliments to waffle so well. The service is friendly however, they do get busy so I asked for what you want in the beginning because chances are you won't see your waitress for a while. There's always a wait at this place, so I suggest go put your name on the list before you're hungry. I want to say on average 20 to 30 minutes wait.

Yelp
The place was good, it has a lot of variety in food and I really enjoyed the vegan bowl I will say that it was far better vegan breakfast than I've had any other place. It was most certainly not autistic friendly in the way of noise, bc it is such a small space and low ceilings you could hear everyone speaking at the same time which was very overstimulating. I did not see if they had little baskets for the autistic kiddos that may need sensory baskets if they do not have those I would highly suggest them bc it could help and be more supportive of the community, while I understand the owners son is autistic I would say that the information panel about autism really needs to be updated as it really only gave understanding of level 3 autism and does not recognize other forms and how they present which often times other levels just bc it is not physically a bother to those around us it doesn't mean we don't experience these things it's just we put a lot of energy into making others around us comfortable which later we pay for with meltdowns and burnout. Please update the information sheet.

Yelp
I love trying new places when traveling, and I'll say, I'm happy I found this little gem. I visited with a large group of people, and thankfully, our wait time wasn't long. The waitress was very sweet, efficient, and excelled when it came to customer service. For breakfast, I wanted to try something different, something I never had before. Pork Belly Benedict: I messed up when I ordered this, I am not a fan of poached eggs. Why I ordered this, who knows. Pork belly, I was thinking was pork ends. I was really turned around with this one, however, others ordered the same thing and thought it was delicious. I ate several bites, but wasn't successful due to the raw egg and fatty pork belly. I can say, the homestyle potatoes were well seasoned and were enjoyed by me. I would definitely visit this restaurant again, will make sure to order something I know I will like.

Yelp
We arrived approximately 30 minutes before closing. We were seated within minutes and a server came right over to take our order. I ordered the blueberry lemon drop for a drink and chicken biscuit with gravy for brunch. Our server was great and food came out rather quickly. We definitely be back for a 2nd visit

Yelp
We're back! Time for our May Myrtle vacation. Brunch today was biscuits with sausage gravy (but here, there's bacon in it too!) with eggs. Linda had the eggs Benedict with home fries. We're pacing ourselves- tomorrow will be something with either pancakes, waffles, or French toast. As always, all was perfect! Cassie, our server, was great. Bring a lightweight jacket, it's chilly under the ceiling vents.

Yelp
On our trip to NMB we dined here and here are my thoughts : Service: Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food : I had a pecan waffle which was good ..the waffles are cooked well ..not undercooked like some places make. My side of sausage links were ok as one of them had a weird texture ..like it was undercooked or something..oh and great ice tea . My wife had a red velvet waffle which she enjoyed and bacon ..also good. Like anywhere these days it seems ..the breakfast was pricey ...4.00 for ice tea is ridiculous...great or not.

Yelp
First time visiting SC, and Johnny D's made the experience a 10/10. We were told that we would likely have to wait 30 minutes (which is understandable since it was a Saturday at brunch time). Fortunately with the speediness and expertise of their service they were able to get us in and out of the restaurant within an hour. The food was AMAZING! The Red Velvet was so well done and I kept going back for bites. The Pork Belly Benedict surpassed our expectations- it reminded me of Carnitas or the pork belly in ramen (10/10). Our server was so very lovely and was able to help us with whatever questions we had and when we needed refills. While it was a little loud, the service made up for it. But it felt like you were in someone's home. The decore is very cute. This one stop made the experience worth the visit. If we ever return to SC we will definitely be visiting Johnny D's again.

Yelp
A great spot in North Myrtle Beach. Went here on Saturday morning, it was pretty busy but we got seated right away. Service was fast and staff was very friendly. I had the chicken fajita omelet, it was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend checking them out.

Yelp
If you are looking for a great breakfast/brunch spot check out my all time favorite Johnny D's. They are well known for serving delicious food. People visit over and over to enjoy their mouth-watering red velvet pancakes, eggs Benedict and more. Johnny D's offers a casual and comfortable atmosphere that is perfect for families too. Both locations are spacious and have a friendly staff that creates a warm environment that makes for a great friends and family dining experience. Another reason to choose to dine at Johnny D's is their affordable prices. They offer value for your money with generous portions and delicious food all at great price. Johnny D's menu has a wide variety of options to choose from too, including vegetarian options. Johnny D's is situated in two prime locations in Myrtle Beach, which makes it easily accessible for both locals and tourists who visit the beach. Johnny D's offers delicious food, a family-friendly atmosphere, affordable prices, a variety of options making it a go-to spot in Myrtle Beach.

Yelp
A busy Sunday morning and we were in within 5 minutes! The servers are quick and efficient, and the food came extremely fast. We ordered the Brisket Benedict and a side of gravy. This was enough for us both! I'd post a picture, but we only have the clean plates to show for our efforts! Chef Jamie is doing an amazing job... Come eat some waffles!

Yelp
This was a "don't judge a book by its cover" restaurant. Walking in I wasn't sure about this little place but I am glad we went here! The service was excellent and fast! The food was excellent - my veggie omelet was amazing, grits were perfectly buttery goodness. The pancakes are plate sized as are the waffles! Husband got the Irish Benedict and said the corned beef hash was perfect, one of the best he has ever had (he is super picky about his hash and this one got 2 thumbs up!). This place was clean and bright inside!
