One of the best bars in dc! It’s a neighborhood gem and they make you feel like family. Cant say enough nice things about Brandon (the owner). Great beers, great vibes and lots of tvs for the games.

I was in D.C for a work conference and came here to celebrate my birthday with friends who live in D.C. (its Ohio roots led me to check it out). We had a great time! Food was great, and everyone we met there was so nice - complete strangers enjoying themselves at the bar were friendly and excited to see new people. It’ll be a stop every time I’m in town, and I know my local friends were impressed and looking forward to returning.

Johnny’s is the neighborhood gem you didn’t know you needed. It’s got dive bar charm with just enough flair to keep things interesting—think cold beers and a killer liquor list. The staff is friendly, the vibes are top-tier, and the bar food hits the spot. Whether you’re posting up for the game or popping in for a late-night drink, Johnny’s nails it. Fun, easy, and exactly the kind of spot you want in your regular rotation.

Such a solid spot! Whether you’re a sports fan, solo barhopper, or a small group looking for something to do (they have board/bar games, too) this is the place. I haven’t tried the food yet but I’ve heard great things, and for a bar, the menu is stacked. As an Ohioan I left Johnny’s with a smile—there’s something so cool about seeing familiar Ohio memorabilia/brands in a cozy-but-curated, chill, vintage, and preppy vibe. Johnny’s is just a great hang!!! And the staff/ownership being chill is just the cherry on top. Johnny’s is my new go-to.

I thoroughly enjoyed Johnny's All American! The inviting atmosphere, impeccable cleanliness, and their genuine love for customers create a fantastic dining experience. The food is amazing, the drinks are wonderful, and their festive holiday decor adds a charming touch during the holidays. Highly recommend!

As soon as I walked in I knew it was exactly what I wanted for the night. Awesome local bar, that had the game on, this place delivered and then some! My boy and I had an excellent time!

Came for early happy hour to read. Dive bar is a bit critical, as it's not a dive anywhere outside a major city. It is cheap, welcoming, avaliable, cozy, unpretentious. I like it. Tried the guac and it was all packaged processed but I have to imagine the other food is better Update.. Happy hour is not as good. Sad

Watched the MLS championships here, great beer selection, burger and starters were tasty, and it was a really fun, welcoming atmosphere - made some new friends too!

I went here for an happy hour with my coworkers. The atmosphere was good. I ended up going with a hotdog because I love hotdogs. I actually bought 2 hotdogs. The drinks were decent as well but a little expensive. They have a set of games adults can play. Also the bartender and service were decent.

Great atmosphere and quickly took my order. Can't wait get the BIG Daddy..as I've heard it's the best ever.

Chill vibes. Great bartop. Family owned, and owner run. Check out the happy hour, which is ridiculous (and all day Monday). Try the $2 hour dog.

We always have an exceptional experience at Johnny's All American. From the moment we walk in, it feels like family. When I faced a crisis with a basement fire last year, I called Branden, the owner, for help. Without hesitation, he provided a pump, fans, and an extra set of hands, embodying the true spirit of community support. Johnny's All American goes beyond being just a restaurant - it's a place that cares.

A big fan of Johnny's All American in Columbia Heights. It's a wonderful local neighborhood bar that really leans into its Ohio theme. The customer service is always top notch and they are good prices for their drinks.

All this advertising for brunch that I've seen them doing is very odd considering I waited an hour for a Burnt Burnt bottom breakfast burrito. It's the kind of food you'd make yourself at home when depressed, just throwing stuff in a wrap and calling it a day. Except if it had been you at home, it probably would've been like 20 minutes tops and you'd have saved yourself the cost of an overpriced breakfast burrito. And not a single sorry! Wild. I'd pay money to not come back here. Couldn't recommend less !!

The vibe here is absolutely amazing if you are in the ate do try the French 75 and the House Margarita

Go Buckeyes! Nice to find a bat that is welcoming to Ohio State fans. Everything Ohio off featured here. A nice bar atmosphere. The beer is cold. A great hangout.

An amazing place with an amazing atmosphere! Have such the best time here. Simple food but fun drinks and games available for everyone. Never had a bad experience with the staff - always such a pleasure!

Been here twice during the soft openings, and I'm in love. I love the variety from Miller High Life to fancy chacho mules. The decor is elegant dive and everything is so thoughtfully placed from the flags to boxing paraphernalia and lockers. Smash burgers were awesome and they sold voodoo chips if you want something lighter. Everyone here is very welcoming and service was really quick.

Best local neighborhood bar one could ever ask for. Great vibes no fuss and even better staff and owner. Cleveland sports and drinks can't lose. Good incredibly tasty and most reasonable prices in all of dc. A must visit

Love the chill vibes and dive bar feel. Great happy hour deals and an extensive menu! Also a big fan of all the Ohio memorabilia. Definitely feels like a slice of home right here in my adopted city. Perfect place to have a great low key night, grab a drink, and have good conversations.

I really love this concept, and the owner is a nice guy. I totally appreciate his difficulty to staff the place, which has made openings "soft" and options uneven for a couple months now. The website has a strange long message on the front page saying "don't ask the owner to cook you a burger" and then a picture of a great hamburger. I get that it's hard, and really hope they can find their footing. But last weekend I had a really bad experience - they must have had temp staff on, but they closed out my card without my authorization and tipped themselves an extra $100 on a $60 bill that had 20% tip included, then handed me my card saying it was all closed no problem. I'm glad I checked - when I did the cashier got annoyed with me and did a "favor" by taking off the $100 tip. I get that things are tough and totally accept the place for the laid back, no expectations, quirky place it's trying to be. But scamming and then blaming it on the customer is not ok. It's really too bad.

Great atmosphere, lots of games, lots of fun. Great vibes, good food and the owners are amazing. The bar inside is cozy and welcoming. Great selection of top shelf liquors and a good variety of well liquors plus beer and wine. Highly recommend

Staff is great and the nitro cold brew is the best. Location is perfect for the neighborhood.
