Storied, retro nightclub spinning oldies & serving pub grub amid decor nods to Sinatra & Elvis.
"If your main grievance with nightclubs is that they don't play enough Elvis, then take your kicks (your blue suede ones, obviously) to Buckhead’s iconic 21-and-way-up clubstaurant. Since opening in 1979, Johnny’s Hideaway has largely kept things the same—the central dance floor under the disco ball, the heavy furniture that could double as poker tables and chairs, and the music, which collects hits from every genre and decade of the last 70 years. We love it here. Where else can you eat potato skins at 2am after dancing the Lambada with a random OG? And even if that’s not your thing, use this place for a late-night meal of decent American pub classics and top-tier people-watching. photo credit: Cameron Rogers photo credit: Cam Rogers photo credit: Cameren Rogers photo credit: Cameron Rogers photo credit: Cameron Rogers" - Nina Reeder
"Johnny’s Hideaway in Buckhead is a bar classic that attracts just about everyone from wild partying types to empty nesters exploring their newfound freedom. Their DJ (who has been with them for more than 20 years) keeps the energy high on the dance floor, which makes it a good option for a birthday or friends’ night out." - juli horsford
"Head to Johnny’s Hideaway after Thanksgiving dinner to dance the night away, starting at 8 p.m." - Beth McKibben
"Order a scotch and down it because the best place to watch the magic at Johnny’s is on the dance floor (where drinks aren’t allowed.) The bouncers and bartenders proudly sport shirts and buttons touting the bar’s infamous cougars, but don’t be fooled, because after midnight the crowd gets decidedly younger as folks trickle over from nearby Buckhead bars." - Eater Staff
"There’s more than just prime people-watching and dancing at Johnny’s Hideaway in Buckhead. “Atlanta’s ONLY Nightclub For Big Kids” offers team trivia on Monday nights starting at 7:30 p.m." - Beth McKibben
