I had such a wonderful experience at Joia. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Carmen, truly stood out. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. She offered great recommendations and checked in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Her professionalism and positive energy really elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend Joia for great food, great service, and an overall fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We got the bruschetta (excellent, but not pictured because we ate it to fast..), the Cacio pepe, and Carbonara for dinner. For desert, we had the limoncello one. It was wonderful! Everything was delicious, and presented beautifully! The service was fantastic as well! MUST GO!

We had high hopes coming in, but the experience ended up being pretty underwhelming. The food itself was just okay—nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. What really dragged the visit down was the 40-minute wait, even though our entire party arrived on time for our reservation. By the time we were finally seated, the vibe had already dipped, and the meal didn’t do much to recover it. The staff was polite, the drinks and the apps were good. Not the worst dining experience, but definitely not somewhere I’d rush back to.

I don’t know if I am getting old, but we had a dinner here and sat in the back room - see photo. It was a Saturday evening and quite busy. The host did not mention how the restaurant works or what you may expect to experience, but basically it was close to being miserable. The staff were short handed I have to believe and we had to stay on them to keep their attention for ordering etc. The food was reasonably tasteful as you would expect, but the problem was what happened if someone had a birthday. The room turned into a blinding (literally) light show like you would expect in a disco. Sorry but that is not acceptable for a fine dining establishment. It then continued to seven or eight of these instances where you had to stop dining (because you could hardly see your food). The volume was intense so you could not speak - if we had not halfway through the meal and had not been raining, we would have left. It’s sad because we had had a nice afternoon at the bar, and the bar tender had been very pleasant and the front room is lovely, why we were sat in the back, I cannot understand, especially k owing what happens if you are celebrating a birthday. If you go, do not go on a Saturday night is all I can say. I don’t like saying these negative things, because someone has gone to a lot of investment for this business, and a couple of dishes (octopus for one) was good. Simply if we had been told from the beginning, and sat in the front part of the restaurant, it would have been a different experience I would expect. They do need help with their staff though just like other reviews have mentioned.

One of my top 3 restaurants in Boston I go to when friends visit and I want to give them a unique experience. The food, the cocktails and the atmosphere always proves for an amazing night. I recently started going to their brunch as well and I’m shocked more people aren’t talking about it.

I had a wonderful time here. The food was absolutely amazing as well as the presentation and the drinks were phenomenal. I mean, look at this cute little drink presentation

* Ambiance amazing, food not-bad * We visited this restaurant as a group of 8 for dinner. First off, I loved the ambiance and the service. It's a perfect place for celebrations like birthdays. However, I felt the menu is too short. It's difficult to feel very luxurious in terms of getting choices to choose from. That being said, the server did a great job in catering to our dietary needs. Parking was available for a fee about 3-4 mins away from the restaurant. Overall not bad and I would somewhat recommend it.

Food: overall the food was alright. It felt like some of the pasta was slightly undercooked with great sauce on top. The pizza is just a basic dough with cheese and topping, but not much sauce which makes it dry. The salad was overdressed with too cheese and dressing, which made it too much to enjoy it. The bread is super crunchy but almost too hard to really chew it well. The burger wasn't even cooked at medium rare and it had a lot of oil seeping through the bun. The only thing that was probably good is the fries and truffle pasta, which had the right amount of creaminess and truffle salt. Service: the servers was bare. I felt like they didn't do much to serve our table attentively. It was rather slow and there wasn't much going on, so I feel like they could've done a bit more to make sure that we were enjoying our experience. Ambiance: it's beautiful inside with white floral decorations, almost similar to like having a wedding. It's definitely more of a fine dining experience, but you can dress casually inside. Location accommodation: it's right by a hotel so you can do parking by valet or you can do parking garages that are two minutes from the restaurant

Great dining experience. Went here with a bigger party (i think 20ish people) and we were all accomodated for in terms of both food and service. We got appetizers for the table so I'm not too sure what each were. One was like a sushi roll, one was bruschetta, and a caesar salad. My meal was the cacio e pepe with shrimp. It was delicious and so thoughtfully prepared. YUM. Desserts we got the lava cake and the tiramisu. Both were also really delicious and well prepared. Worth the price forsure!

I decided to make last-minute reservations at Joia to celebrate my cousin's birthday. Neither of us had been to Joia before and we wanted to try it out, though I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews. However, I can say that Joia is definitely worth trying for yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The host, who we later found out was actually the owner, was very nice, and our waitress was super sweet and attentive. The aesthetic was beautiful and the vibe was great. For our appetizer, we ordered the Frittura di Calamari ($18.00). I had an Espresso Martini ($19.00), the Cacio e Pepe pasta ($38.00), and the Lava Tortino for dessert ($13.00). My cousin ordered a mocktail ($8.00), the special Chicken Parm dish ($38.00), and the Tiramisu for dessert ($12.00). Please keep in mind that a kitchen appreciation fee of $5.47 was added to our bill

The vibe in here is amazing, and the food is delicious. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Couldn't recommend this place more! Must check it out when in the city! The location as well right near BU and Northeastern campus to the city life is popping. A quick 2 minute walk to over look the water. I absolutely loved it!

We stayed at the hotel (Harborside Inn) next door for 5 days, came here for breakfast every day, dinner twice, we loved this restaurant! Food is excellent, service is great, restaurant is beautiful and clean. For breakfast, we've tried everything, omelettes, eggs, sausages, ham, bacon, pancakes.... everything is tasty. They have good chefs. I drink tea. They use good quality tea here. Waiter Santiago is the best! He is professional and friendly. He remembered I like Earl Grey tea, and served us hot steamed milk for coffee and tea. He tried harder to do a better job. We were very happy to see him every morning :))

I loved my experience at joia! I sat on the patio with a reservation I made the day before (walk in would have been fine tho). The patio is super cute and well spaced. I ordered an espresso martini and loved the beautiful design as well as the taste. I sampled several things from the small plates menu but what really stole the show was the octopus- wow! Incredible flavor, texture, and consistency. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'd go back for that alone! Service was very good too.

We were a party of 20 for brunch celebrating my friend's birthday. First, many restaurants in Boston did not even respond to my emails for a large group reservation. Someone from Joia returned my message promptly and also followed up days ahead to confirm reservation and details and assure us we could bring our own cake. The room is beautiful and very comfortable for a large gathering. Santiago was very attentive even during his busiest times with other customers. At one point, the Chef even came out to help!, and the food was delicious!! Best calamari we've ever had and the eggplant rollatini was enormous and perfectly cooked. Burger was amazing, eggs super fluffy and perfect potatoes. Espresso martinis on point too. They surprised us when bringing out the cake with music and flashing lights!! It was a fabulous day and experience!! Highly recommend.

In the area waiting for my food tour to start. I asked for an espresso martini and the bartender looked at me with serious judgement. Yes, it's 10am and I AM on vacation. Have we never heard of brunch and breakfast bloody Mary's or mimosas? He proceeded to tell me that it's against the law in Boston to sell alcohol before 11am anywhere! I looked it up and Massachusetts liquor law states alcohol can be purchased between 8am and 11pm daily with the exception of Sundays (10am) or on election days when polls are open. I also started looking up other restaurants that offer brunches and saw that you are able to get cocktails during breakfast/brunch hours. Honestly, I wouldn't have been that irritated by his misinformation had he not nearly gasped audibly and looked so shocked when I ordered the espresso martini. I live unapologetically and am certainly not going to be shamed by him. I ordered an iced tea and the Bocconicini in Carrozza. It was fine. Basically mozzarella sticks in the shape of a ball instead of a stick. They were served on top of an over abundance of pesto and sprinkles of balsamic vinegar. It was ordinary at best. I was very underwhelmed by the entire experience. I would not recommend this establishment. You can walk a few blocks from here and get amazing Italian food from dozens of restaurants. Don't waste your money or time here.

Had a nice experience at this restaurant. The decorations were cute. Food was good and the service was great. I would go again for sure.

The Scarlet Vetter says....I was in Boston for business and decided to stay in an eclectic boutique hotel in the financial district. After a long day, I did not want to traverse the city in search of a good meal and a refreshing libation. I found a little nook restaurant in the hotel itself. The seating was quite nice. I sat myself at the bar near the front part of the restaurant by the street. The doors were open and it was a beautiful day. I was served a gorgeous cosmopolitan with just the right amount of vodka. I ordered the grilled octopus and the cacio d pepe pasta dish. Fresh bread arrived with a combination creamy butter pesto spread. Yum. The Octopus was beautifully presented and was grilled to perfection. The pasta dish was luscious and creamy with a great peppery flavor. I loved the vibe of the place. The bartenders were pleasant, and they sure make a fantastic cocktail. I will come here again!

Adjacent to the Harborside Inn, we came here to Joia for dinner on Christmas Eve and as soon stepped through the doors, we're greeted with various hues of purple, lavender, magenta, and blue that were contrasted with white seating to the bar at the left, high tops in the center, and wall couch seating to the right. Led by the manager who was kind and pleasant, we were seated in the back half area where two large circular overhangs draped white flowers over two large darker tables. The ambiance is modern with greenery, dimly lit but vibrant, and had a nice soundtrack. Our first round of drinks were the Espresso Martini (if it has espresso, I'm getting it!) and the Peach Bum Martini. The Espresso Martini was presented with a nice surprise of the restaurant's name in cocoa dust. With the Disaronno and Frangelico, it added a certain depth but I couldn't discern the espresso. We thought the Peach Bum Martini was too sweet and in our second round of drinks, we were able to exchange it out with a Bee's Sting which, although on the tarter side, was more palatable. Pairing the Bee's Sting was the Old Fashioned and this one had a nice bite. The Mediterranean Style Octopus caught our eye right away and when it came to the table, we were happy it was served as whole tentacles instead of sliced since that removes most of its locked-in juices. It was one of the greater octopus dishes we haven't had in a long while - tender, nicely grilled, moist. The zucchini and eggplant caponata was by far the best complementary bedding for octopus we've ever had. And it works so well! Would've ordered another but we had two entrées on the way. When the Tagilatelle con Arogosta arrived in a large plate with a small area for the food to settle in, we thought it was presented with a bit of flair with the lobster, clams, and mussels resting on the bed of pasta below. While the pasta had a nice chew, we were disappointed with a couple of the mussels that didn't taste pleasant at all so they shouldn't have been served. The ribeye came on a cutting board, sliced with the bone, with three different flaked salts and we used the brown variation mostly since it gave a very welcoming coffee flavor but apparently it's just a smoked salt! The steak was juicy, tender, and medium rare to our satisfaction. Overall, we enjoyed our experience with the ambiance and most of the food and drinks. Service was great for us - kind, attentive, warm. You can definitely dance, wiggle, and jive your food down to your stomach with some of the music they play. Since it's in the city, parking will be street, a parking lot, or take the MBTA or Uber it.

This restaurant doesn't even deserve 1 star. We should have left when we were the only family inside the restaurant. Horrible service. Server smelled of cigarettes. Food was awful. Over priced. Worst part- we were over charged for the tip, manager didn't show one care in the world. They also charge 3.5% kitchen fee. Save yourself a stomach ache + $$$- don't go here. GROSS!

It's lovely. A modern Italian restaurant that is attached to the Harborside Inn. Beautiful intimate dining room with an equally large bar-space with lower lighting and high-top booths. They offered and we choose the high-top in the window. It's a very small table with a light and an orchid. We had to move the orchid off to the window sill to have room. Very pretty though. The first gal that asked which water we wanted and mentioned sparkling. I said oh no thank you, just still regular water. Thankfully, she hadn't opened the bottle at our table before I stopped her and clarified tap water. So be careful when you order. I did select a glass of Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. It was perfect. Only thing not perfect was the dust inside the glass made a fine layer on top of my wine. The light on the table made it apparent. I had been working then travelling all day and was at a point I didn't care but was surprised. You can see it in my pic below with the bread service. The server recommended the short ribs that I did order. Excellent portion size, served on a bed of polenta with red pepper jam and interesting Italian glaze or gravy. (gravy doesn't sound sexy). The pepper jam was odd but it was very good. The bread service was a nice surprise. It was a pesto with some cream or cheese dollop in the middle. My husband had the Chicken parmesan dish. We should have shared, it was huge. Since we were staying at the hotel, we received 20% off our dine in dinner. I believe it is for dine in and dinner only. Great deal. Excellent service, atmosphere and entrees.

Place was stunning. Food was not a hit but drinks were great. Service was decent. Waiter gave us complimentary limoncello shots which were not great, too sweet! The decor and espresso martini were the only highlight for me.

Discovered this little restaurant on our first night in Boston. Our waitress,Carmen, was amazing and attentive. We ordered the frutti di mare which was delicious and the small plate of the eggplant. Though you could probably make that eggplant an entree because it was a large serving. The only thing I would say that could be improved is where the main hostess stand is could be a bit more distinctive and clarified ( since they have 2)

First time here and came for a birthday... the food was good I had the chicken parm, the only thing is the serving was smaller than I expected. The drinks were good, music was great, the server and staff were all super nice.

This new restaurant is so yummy and beautiful inside! the staff is very nice and attentive. We got the bruschetta which had 3 different flavors (first time i've seen that), and the pastas were perfectly cooked and the sauces were fresh! Can't say enough good things about the lava cake, so decadent! One random thing I remember is their cutlery is quite heavy and hard to spin the pasta, but that's just a note.

Ordered the Western omelette--it had peppers, onions and cheese. Served with house potatoes. It was seriously so good. I came in with low expectations based on how simple the menu was, but I was highly impressed. It was super convenient since it shared a wall/door with our hotel. Keep in mind the "expanded" breakfast menu is only served on the weekend. Also, the hot sauce was delicious too.

The food was good. We paid the bill and got they send us recipe via text . Now that I check oh boy ! It was only 5 of us they charged us for large party, and than charge us tip, and after kitchen appreciation ??? Me being nice and didn't check the receipt I paid additional 20% for tip . Not knowing they have charged us in different way. It's a good place but make sure u check the bill before u add any tips

Wanted a nightcap while staying at the Harborside Inn. We both ordered an Angel's Envy bourbon our bill was $50! Boston prices were a bit of a shock! Service was subpar we had a snooty waiter who really wasn't interested in us. There is a discount on dinner if you stay at the Harborside but only dinner. We didn't go back in the rest of our stay.

Food was well seasoned, hot, and served in a very timely manner. Pesto which was featured in multiple dishes was superb. Service for us was five stars. Restaurant want to busy when we arrived, but got much busier as the night went on. The level of service never faltered once. David is a fantastic server. The vibes were great. Love the booth seating, table lights made it intimate and fun. I could do without the tv screens above the open kitchen, but that's personal preference.

The restaurant is so cute. The hanging florals and mood lighting immediately puts you in a good mood. The server Carmen, was absolutely delightful and beyond helpful showing us pictures of specials and making recommendations for drinks. The food was hit or miss. My lamb shank was cooked to perfection and the mushrooms were yummy, but the mashed potatoes tasted out of the box. My friend had the risotto of the day and it was so super yummy! another friend got the margarita pizza and that was the most underwhelming meal, but "edible" in her words. The espresso martini she ordered was gorgeous coming out with the Joia brand name for presentation. very cute. overall I would go back, but maybe just for appetizers and drinks next time.

Mediocre food, terrible service. We ordered drinks and appetizers, the food came out right away, but was lukewarm. We had to ask for napkins, plates, and silverware. Our drinks arrived about 10 after we had completely finished eating.

Had to wait 1 hour AFTER a reservation which was booked a week in advance and then was given free rail tequila shots for the inconvenience when we were told it was there top tier tequila which was disgusting that ended up ruining the whole dinner experience... Food and ambiance was good but the service was trash.

The food and drinks are mid most likely will not return again. And it gets SUPER loud in there at night so good luck trying to talk. Also, just Uber there. Me and my girl were lost for like 15 mins trying to find it then had to pay $20 for parking. Just not an overall good experience. Would've been worth it if the food was good--but it wasn't. I tried the Short Rib Al Vino Rosso, Pink Lady(a drink they recommended), and Baba Al Rum (rum dessert cake). All three were gross. And they gave out cold, hard to cut bread that was literally nasty. I hate when I spend money and it's not worth it.

Visited Joia for a friends birthday, the experience started out nice but went down hill. My friend has a serious nut allergy and pesto was included on the chicken parm which was not noted on the menu. After dinner, our waiter asked if we wanted another round of drinks which were then ordered. However, the check was shortly brought over after and we were asked to leave our seat. In total we spent over $500 at this restaurant and I was disappointed that we were asked to leave immediately after we paid our bill and the quality of the food. If you were looking for a nice Italian dining experience in Boston, I wouldn't recommend visiting as it is not worth the money. There are better restaurants in Boston to support.

A great addition to the area! Located right next to the Aquarium T stop and next to the Financial District, this is both very T and driving accessible. We had the eggplant involtini and the bruschetta which were very good-- the fried mozzarella appetizer was good but not overly flavorful. The carbonara and porcini pillow entrées are delectable. The short rib pasta was good but not as good as those two dishes. Marco the manager is very friendly and personable, and the service was great overall. Loved their espresso martini too. The ambiance is great-- the decor is so cute and on Sundays they have a DJ and the place is kind of lit up like a club, would you wouldn't expect in that area. It's kind of loud for talking, but we were able to have a conversation. I would definitely recommend this place for a girls' brunch or night out.

Went for brunch. There was only 1 other table there. My friend came first, I came about 15 min after. I wasn't greeted, no welcome not even bothered to give me anything. Food took a while for 1 burger, with 2 tables in the entire restaurant. Server spilled every cocktail we had. I had to go after my server multiple times, I got a piss warm beer as well. Only good thing about the place is it was cute and the burger was good. But aside from that just no.

Everything I expected Joia to be! Dim lit, Delectable food & Good music! I opted to try their Mediterranean style octopus alongside their Risotto of the day and they did not disappoint.

The starter octopus is a MUST. A delectable combination of Mediterrenean and Italian of the dish really creates a harmonious blend. My friend and I followed that with the paella. Again, the concept of combining two regional cuisines really hit a home run! BRAVO! You cannot go wrong with anything on the cocktail menu and the espresso martini was top-3!!

The establishment and ambiance were very nice and the service was great--from the host, server, and the water/ food runners. Only complaint was they sat us in the middle of the room as a party of 2 and my chair got bumped a lot! We ordered a sparkling rose and a "Bee Sting" as drinks; the rose was good but the bee sting was a bit too sour for our taste, but drinkable. For food we ordered the Italian sausage pizza which I thought was amazing! However the beef short rib (my favorite) pasta and the chicken parm lacked soooo much flavor. If we had to rate them both they would be a 5/10. Overall it was a nice date night but we don't think we would go back anytime soon (except maybe for the pizza).

I came here for a friends birthday dinner and they gave our table away. The restaurant gave us complementary champagne and calamari on the house. The calamari was so salty i couldn't eat it. I had the chicken parm with pasta not even a pinch of salt and lacked flavor/seasoning. The restaurant is beautiful. My friend he had the steak tips and fries and those were really good. I don't think i would come back.

I went here for my friends birthday dinner the waitstaff was very rude and starred at us the entire time while we were at the table. The food was bland it's premade as we asked for items to be removed for dietary restrictions and they said it's already made. They didn't offer us bread as other table had and tried to force us to pay for more still water bottles than we asked for. The place music and have flashing lights that the only good thing but the restaurant is tiny and not a place where you can take photos which is what we planned to do, definitely will not be attending again.

Food - Bland and not seasoned well. Some plates were cold clearly forgotten to be served. Not sure what the menu is trying to be, just random dishes. Service - This place is a disaster, they have no idea what they're doing and clearly are trying to cash in before more people notice. Depending on what you spend they'll either gladly let you stay "as long as you want" or literally ask you to leave for the next table. They are clearly over committing reservations to make sure they fill every possible seat for profit. Somewhere they forgot that the customers are supposed to have a an enjoyable experience when they decide to go out. Expect to be asked to leave at arbitrary times when they have their next patrons waiting. Read the other reviews, this is a chronic problem for this establishment. One day restaurants will learn to stop doing the timed thing, you'll run out of customers. Ambiance - As is typical of Boston now, you get very well furnished restaurants that look great in photos but when you're there you don't feel comfortable. Super loud music from sub par sound systems and constant yelling gets old in a hurry. Avoid and look elsewhere if you respect yourself and your money.

Overall, a really terrible service experience. I came in tonight for my friend's birthday party and there were numerous (seemingly biased) red flags. 1. They claimed to not seat parties without the full group which we understood. After the full group arrived it took another 30 minutes to be sat. This would have also been fine if three other tables not have also been waiting for people (and been sat). 2. Us (and the other group of Black women) were the only people in the restaurant who were not offered bread. When we brought this to their attention we were told that we didn't ask. We have never been here before. 3. The server was rude when I asked them to remove the bacon from my burger as I do not eat pork, and it is not listed in the burger on menu. Once I pointed out that it is not on the menu as something to remove, the rest of the experience went down hill. 4. We understood the $5 cake cuting fee and requested for the cake the be cut multiple times. After acknowledging us, they slammed the check down as if requesting us to leave. This terrible service experience was shared with numerous groups of color who we had the opportunity to talk with post payment. The manager made no effort to rectify nor was he kind in any capacity. There are many incredible places in Boston to enjoy a meal. I would strongly reccomend that you choose one that is not Joia.

Last night I went to Joia with a group of 9 people for my friend's birthday. The experience started off nice. We were seated shortly after everyone arrived and our waitress was extremely nice. Once we ordered drinks that's where it went downhill. When we ordered drinks our waitress started to go over the specials and then she told us that there was a 100 dollar minimum fee PER PERSON. This was nowhere on their website, not on any reviews, not on the reservation confirmation, and not on the menu. While it may be common for guests to spend over one hundred dollars per person, a policy like that (and one that was not indicated ahead of time whatsoever) seems quite strange and ridiculous for a restaurant that wants to hold itself in a high regard. We won't be returning, and recommend that you save your money and spend it at a more sensible establishment.

My wife and I went to Joia before a Celtics game a couple of Saturdays ago. The City was very busy and Joia had open seats at the bar so we figured we'd give it a try. The bartender was very nice and she was very attentive. We ordered 2 mixed drinks and an appetizer. The app was good but not great. Different take on what we are used to for bruschetta and I liked the slight twist. Ordered 1 glass of wine and asked for the bill. $22 for a not full Grey Goose martini?! Bit much if you ask me but hey.....it's Boston and it's a day out. Anyway.....3.50% Kitchen Appreciation Fee? What on this green Earth is that all about? If I wanted to tip the kitchen I would have bought them all a drink. We did notice this fee on the bill but decided not to ask about it. We both feel it is something that should not be pushed on customers without their prior knowledge. I feel a bit bad for the bartender as we removed 3.50% off of her tip to cover the kitchen. Not that it was a large amount of money but it is, what I feel, the principle of it. We dine out at least 4 times a week and have been asking bartenders and servers about it. They have NEVER heard of it and they all said we should have had it removed from the bill. I hope Joia takes notice of this and makes a change.

Tried to go there twice for breakfast, very weak menu and options. Staff was friendly, nice decor, was underwhelmed with the food and options, got eggs and had to ask for toast- odd. Only hash browns no fruit option, for the price one would think they'd have more.

I've been seeing so much buzz around the new opening of Joia. The dazzling interior is the first thing I noticed when I walked in. There is a great balance between feeling like a high end restaurant while still feeling relaxed and casual. The bruschetta was a good appetizer to start with, and the short rib pappardelle was good. I didn't walk away wowed by the dish-- it felt like it was missing a little something--but it was still yummy! The service was exceptional, Carmen checked on us often and was very polite. We liked that they took our dirty plates/utensils from our appetizer and replaced them promptly with new utensils. A lot of restaurants fumble within the first few months of being open, but Joia does a great job. Go check this place out!

We are so happy to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary here at Joia. Our server, Diego, is very friendly and knowledgeable. So far our service is A++.

Joia is such a cute place for an intimate dinner! The lighting wasn't too high or too low. Unfortunately, I did not take any pics of the food but I had the porcini pillows. I absolutely loved the the portion sizes were just right for me. They weren't too big nor too small. Their wine options were also plenty. Parking can be difficult but if you're willing to walk you can park in the surrounding areas otherwise there is a garage across the street. Overall it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to returning!

Great cocktails. Nice service. Classy place. We stayed at the Harborside Inn, and this is their bar/restaurant. Open 7 days and very accommodating. Great place to grab a drink and an app.
