"In the debate between quality and quantity, this Thai-Chinese spot hidden in a wet market sides with quality. Starting with a single table, it has since expanded to five. The skilled chef, whose family has sold crabs for over 80 years, sources quality ingredients to create an Omakase set menu which he cooks chef’s table-style. The shrimp wonton, deep-fried snow fish with soy sauce and stir-fried kale with salted halibut are recommended. Booking is mandatory." - Michelin Inspector

Best Chinese Restaurants in Thailand to Welcome the Year of the Pig

"Hidden inside a small wet market, this simple yet legendary shop has earned its reputation for Thai‑Chinese cuisine with quality seafood as a speciality. The chef’s set menu is based on the day’s available ingredients; best dishes include shrimp wonton, deep‑fried snow fish with soy sauce, and stir‑fried kale with salted halibut, with flavours showing great intensity and complexity. Booking is compulsory." - Colin Ho

Came here for a simple, comforting meal and it really delivered. The jok was super smooth and flavorful, not bland at all, and you can tell it was cooked properly. The pork was tender, portions were generous, and everything just felt warm and satisfying. It’s the kind of place you’d come back to when you want something comforting, especially late at night. No frills, just really good food done right.

Another Bangkok Michelin gem quest. Interested to the Michelin award sign and fish maw soup full inside of a huge pot, in front of their restaurant, I immediately ordered it, fish maw in red soup menu. For THB 100 (as per Jul'25), you get a big bowl of thick soup, with plenty of meats, quail eggs, mushroom, fish maw slices and cilantro inside. So fresh and delicious. Absolutely worth it. The staff served friendly and courteous, I appreciate it. The ambience has a cool atmosphere, not too fancy but tidy and clean, with only one big round table and another small one, fit enough for 1 group and couple customer to dine-in. Highly recommended.

Located in a small side alley right next to the MRT station, this place offers an amazing culinary experience. The shrimp dumplings and the fish maw soup are outstanding and have an absolutely fantastic taste. The venue is a bit small, but the atmosphere is very pleasant and the food is top-tier. Highly recommended.

These dumplings were dangerously good. Soft, silky wrappers, juicy pork filling, and that perfect snappy shrimp bite that makes you pause mid chew and nod to yourself. Fragrant, comforting, and clearly made by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing. I came for dumplings and left emotionally attached. Would absolutely come back just to eat these again.

No frills food spot. Metal tables. Fan. Outdoor cooking. Down an alleyway lined with food stalls. Minimal menu. Delicious shrimp dumplings. Order a serving, finished, ordered another. Staff very friendly.

Was a little misguided by the information on google. They shows a lot of menu items which we didn’t find when we were there. Had to choose between 2/3 items so wasn’t worth a visit. Wondering if the items shown in the menu section of google were available at a different time, however the place had no indication of it. The dumpling we ordered was good, but nothing exceptional

I had the fish maw soup. The staff was very nice and gave me tips on how to get the spice just right. It was absolutely delicious and the pricing was perfect.

A tiny street-side gem for shrimp lovers — simple setup, superb bites, and a great stop if you’re in the area - Tucked in a fairly busy street that’s more practical than picturesque — expect a stretch of meat grills, marinades, and BBQ carts along the way, which made for a slightly odd walk-in experience - The setup is minimalist and open-air — no air-conditioning, but the kitchen and service counter were impressively clean and well-kept, giving it a trustworthy, tidy vibe - The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, helping guide us through the small but focused menu - We ordered the two signature dishes: shrimp dumplings and shrimp rice noodle rolls, and both absolutely lived up to the hype — soft, delicate, and packed with clean shrimp flavor - The accompanying sauce was light but flavourful, and paired beautifully with the rice rolls Not a place for a full meal or wide variety, but if you’re nearby or staying in Bangkok Old Town, 100% worth the detour just for these two dishes Recommended if you’re craving fresh shrimp dim sum — skip the crowds, go straight here, eat, smile, and leave happy
