No, Filipino Chicken Chain Jollibee Isn’t Coming to Montreal (For Now) | Eater Montreal

"I wouldn't expect a Jollibee location in Montreal anytime soon: a widely shared Facebook post claiming a Brossard opening (which cited Bloomberg) circulated last week, but a company representative told Eater Montreal that Jollibee is not currently looking at the Montreal area and there's no trace online of a Brossard announcement. Popular in the Philippines for its fried chicken and burgers, the chain has been expanding abroad — it just opened in New York and its first Toronto location drew interminable lines — and currently has three Canadian restaurants (two in Winnipeg and one in Toronto). The company has set a goal of 100 new Canadian locations over the coming years but says it is primarily focused on Ontario (particularly Toronto), with Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver as possible targets, and only a fraction of that 100 appears to be in active planning right now." - Tim Forster

Got their fried chicken set meal, 2 pieces of dark meat chicken, upgraded to spaghetti $1.50 extra, unlimited soda refills, peach mango pie. Cost over $20, where did the inexpensive fast food prices disappear to? Counter staff were very nice and polite. Tables and seats were immaculately cleaned unlike most other fast food locations. Got the spicy chicken option which had a nice spicy kick to it. Very moist and tender with a savory crunch. They give you a small cup of brown gravy to dip the chicken into but I didn't want to mask the chicken flavor profile so I keep the gravy to bring home I believe their spaghetti is made with banana ketchup which gives it a sweetness, I liked it but others may not. To top this delicious meal off with their notorious peach mango pie which did not disappoint, the peach/mango flavor really came through All in all a great lunch, I just wish the prices were a little more affordable

The viral chicken sandwich truly lives up to the hype — juicy, crispy, and full of flavor in every bite. The chicken is marinated perfectly, fried to golden crispness, and layered with fresh lettuce, pickles, and a creamy sauce that makes it irresistible. Alongside the chicken, the variety of burgers offered — from classic beef to spicy zinger and even loaded cheesy options — ensures there’s something for everyone. Each burger feels hearty, flavorful, and satisfying, making it a perfect spot for fast food lovers. #ChickenSandwich #ViralFood #BurgerLovers #FoodieReview #CrispyAndJuicy

Overall I rate this as 4.5 stars. The environement reminds us of home. The service was good. We ordered the combo with chicken, palabok and drink. In addition, we also had our goto peach mango pie. The food were all fresh and delish.

If you are a foodie and love good quality fried chicken, Jollibee should be on your go to list. I mean why not The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. We got the spicy one and the spice was not just on the crust but went deep inside the meat all the way to the bone. The outer layer was crispy enough to give a crunch in every bite and make anyone happy. Their pineapple flavored drink is a must try. We missed the pies this time but will definitely try them next time. Just a tip this location was messing up takeout orders. They forgot gravys and even an entire burger. Not sure if it happens at all locations but make sure to check your order before you leave the place.

The food was okay overall, but I found it a bit on the expensive side for what you get. The coleslaw salad was way too sweet for my taste. Staff were friendly and polite, which was the best part of the visit. It’s an alright place for a quick bite, but not something I’d go out of my way for. I enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich ones and absolutely loved it. Crispy and not too salty. Cleanliness and speed of service were noticeable and positively, though sometimes tables or seating areas might feel a little less polished. Again cost is high for what you get.

Came here for lunch and I was extremely disappointed. Got the deluxe chicken sandwich combo, the sandwich was alright but fries were disgusting. Fries were not edible, they were stale, cold and hard. No one checks quality or freshness clearly. And it’s expensive. They use dole pineapple juice from a can and upcharge an extra dollar for it. GOTO POPEYES INSTEAD. This place sucks. Not worth it.

I’ve been to several Jollibee locations before and usually enjoy the food, but this visit was extremely disappointing. I ordered the 6-piece chicken combo, and the quality was terrible. The chicken had a strong old-oil taste, and the meat itself had an unpleasant smell, making it hard to eat. Definitely not the standard I expect from Jollibee.
