"I wouldn't expect a Jollibee location in Montreal anytime soon: a widely shared Facebook post claiming a Brossard opening (which cited Bloomberg) circulated last week, but a company representative told Eater Montreal that Jollibee is not currently looking at the Montreal area and there's no trace online of a Brossard announcement. Popular in the Philippines for its fried chicken and burgers, the chain has been expanding abroad — it just opened in New York and its first Toronto location drew interminable lines — and currently has three Canadian restaurants (two in Winnipeg and one in Toronto). The company has set a goal of 100 new Canadian locations over the coming years but says it is primarily focused on Ontario (particularly Toronto), with Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver as possible targets, and only a fraction of that 100 appears to be in active planning right now." - Tim Forster
