Find an Espresso Bar and Aperitivo Hour at the New Jon & Vinny’s in Beverly Hills - Eater LA

"The Jon & Vinny’s pasta empire expanded into Beverly Hills at 456 North Bedford Drive on Monday, October 31. The menu of Italian American fare will be familiar to longtime diners with pizzas, pastas, and rainbow cookies. The new location boasts a wine and espresso bar near the entrance of the 800-square-foot space from Helen Johannesen, a longtime collaborator and partner of chef-owners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. It’s the first wine bar from Johannesen, whose Helen’s Wines retail shops are tucked inside of Jon & Vinny’s three other restaurants on Fairfax and in Brentwood and View Park. 'We felt the space and Beverly Hills would benefit from a new version of Helen’s, an inside-out Helen’s,' says Johannesen. The all-day counter serves multiple purposes: an espresso bar in the morning and an aperitivo bar in the evenings. To drink are wines by the glass or flight, and cocktails like Aperol spritzes and espresso martinis made with sake. Complementary snacks are served between 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Jon & Vinny’s is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations can be made via Resy, takeout and delivery can be found on DoorDash." - Jean Trinh

Google
so the other night we ate at the Fairfax location. tonight we're at the Beverly. I want to experience the vibe of both Beverly is actually a little bit more open and less cave-like. Fairfax restaurant is a little bit more Street feeling. definitely brighter at this location is there a special machine is amazingly placed faema machine looks good . the espresso tastes amazing too with a pizza notes the acidity of the espresso really brings the pizza out vice versa. I'm actually doing this review as I'm eating. we made reservations for 9:00 and walked in early and made the early seating. there's something fast about eating pizza and something personal about eating pasta but this location the pizza felt personal it felt slow down and it fell present find dining in a slice Melissa our server when above and beyond and made us feel like family when we're eating. I've never went to the slauson location but if you want soft goods I recommend Fairfax they have a bunch of graphics on their t-shirts more than the Beverly location. another thing to note is a lot of younger crowd here I think it's because walking distance from Holmes is easier than other locations but have the restaurant at all times or younger people which I don't mind it's just something to note. people say the portions are small first night we ate a salad and a pasta me and my girlfriend shared and we were just a little hungry after but not that not that bad. tonight at the Beverly location we had a pizza a pasta and a salad. the pizzas decent portion and I'm going to need a wheelchair as I leave this area. the coffee is phenomenal first aid medicinal grade

Google
Great food, definitely coming back! I ordered the Brooklyn Dodger pizza, gem lettuce salad, garlic parmesan bread, chicken wings, chicken parmesan, and rigatoni Brooklyn pasta. Everything was amazing except the pasta, which was below average. The pizza was incredible crispy crust and delicious sauce. Chicken wings were juicy and clean, ranch sauce was great. Chicken parmesan was outstanding. Garlic bread was rich and flavorful. Top favorites: the pizza, wings, chicken parmesan, and garlic bread.

We were visiting from out of town and Evan K was our server. He was so sweet and amazing and made us feel so welcomed. Everything was so good. We got the spicy fusilli and the pepperoni pizza, the cacio e pepe and the garlic bread and the gem lettuce salad. It was soooo yum. Please ask for EVAN K if you want amazing service he is THE BEST!!!!!

Google
Decent place for a decent meal. A pretty good date spot to be honest. Food was good but the portions were pretty small. Had a good time tho! They do play so banger music.

It’s a great place to have lunch with your special guests! Clean and well organized vibes, cute pizza boxes with green! We had try mushrooms pizza and LA women pizza! The house meatball was amazing,We got the recommended appetizer, Gem lettuce! We all loved it!

omg this was so good. Service was fantastic, great wine and the burrata and pasta did not disappoint. The chilli vodka pasta was perfect, not very spicy but just delicious. Highly recommend

Google
I’ve been a fan of John & Vinny’s in the past, especially for their pesto, which used to be incredibly flavorful and well-balanced. Unfortunately, my recent visit with my girlfriend was a major letdown. We both ordered the pesto again, hoping to relive that great experience from a while ago, but it was nothing like we remembered. The dish was overly oily and lacked the rich, fresh flavor that made it special in the first place. It felt like a completely different recipe. The service was, frankly, disappointing. It became clear that unless you’re dressed a certain way or look like you “fit” the Beverly Hills mold, you’re not a priority. We were seated outside, and it felt like we were forgotten about — long waits for basic things, indifferent staff, and zero effort to make us feel welcomed. The vibe was more pretentious than professional. And then there’s the $2.50 charge for a tiny portion of Parmesan cheese. I understand the location and the upscale clientele, but that just feels absurd and out of touch, especially when the food quality isn’t backing it up anymore. Overall, it’s sad to see a place that used to be genuinely good become more focused on image and pricing gimmicks than actual food and hospitality. We won’t be going back.

Google
We stopped in while visiting for a little light lunch. We got garlic bread and split a pasta. It was great! Service for we awesome. It was extremely fast and much more affordable than many spots in the area. We also loved that every table gets crayons and place mats to color.

Yelp
We had reservations for dinner on a week night and were seated pretty quickly. Service was good overall. Ambiance is like a casual Italian spot. Everything was delicious, so not sure why this place has a 3 star rating. - Gem lettuce caesar (5/5): Okay this salad was bomb. Each piece of lettuce was perfectly crafted with every topping, so tasty. - Spicy fusilli pasta (4.5/5): The only thing about this pasta was the portion size was small. It was so delicious, perfectly creamy and tomatoy. - Brooklyn bomber (5/5): This pizza was a good size, super flavorful. Even the crust was good. - White lightnening (4.5/5): I love the ricotta, makes it super creamy and delicious.

Yelp
We ordered the Brooklyn pizza and the bolognese pasta. Pizza was burnt and tasteless and the pasta was oily and gummy. Overall the food was mediocre so I decided to read the other reviews and realized quickly why the restaurant had such terrible reviews. 18 % service fee which goes to management and not to the waiters? Wtf? I refused to tip twice although I felt bad for the waiter who was nice but come on. In addition I asked for Parmesan cheese to make the food taste better and they charged 2.50 for a spoonful. wtf? I will never go back to this place and the management/ ownership should be ashamed of themselves and give the SERVICE FEE to the waiters and stop insulting the patrons. Stay away from

Yelp
Just a fun small Italian restaurant that provides good food and great service. Favorite pizza place so far. Pretty much anything on their pizza list is fire. Usually grab their Gem Lettuce.

Yelp
4.5 to be exact! Great service, equally great food, and a smallish, intimate atmosphere. Not only can you reach out and touch your neighbor's food at the table next door, but you can salivate and ask them how it is! The garlic bread is oh so buttery and delish, pizzas are divine and the pasta, though the size of an "appetizer" is really tasty! Will def be back. We didn't save room for dessert cuz this jon and Vinny's is right next door to some of the best yogurt in the state! Go Greek....go get some after dinner.

Yelp
Went back for the second time this week, this time with my kids and we really enjoyed it. Can't get over the great service and staff. Again, we were seated right away and the lady at the front was so accommodating. We wanted a booth because of our kids and she gave us a great table with extra space for our stroller. Dion was our waiter again and was on top of everything- checked in with us, made sure we were doing okay and all of our food came out. Everyone is so wonderful there- the busser (wish I had his name!!!) surprised my girls with cookies and really made their night. This time, we got the gem salad, shroom pizza, dodger pizza, the salad pizza, cacio e pepe pasta, spicy fusilli pasta and bolognese pasta. Every bite was perfect!

Yelp
Best Jon & Vinny's location! Obsessed with everything I ever eat here. I always get gem lettuce salad and the LA woman, but this time we got the spaghetti limone instead of the spicy fusilli and I am beyond obsessed!! My new favorite pasta (anywhere) literally craving it the next day and I'm not the biggest pasta person. I finally tried their ice cream and loved it as well :) I will always try to save room for dessert moving forward. There are so many amazing items on the menu to choose from, it's difficult to choose from, you can't go wrong with anything, but I highly recommend getting a pizza! They honestly have some of the best pizza, top 3 pizza for me! Their crust is 10/10. Service was great, they had a manager take care of us at the end and make sure we were really happy with our meal, she was very kind! I prefer the ambiance and seating at this location, there is valet parking right out front or a parking garage right across the street. Their seating inside is much bigger and more comfortable/open, and I love their patio seating, very relaxed and comfortable compared to the other locations. This will definitely be my go to Jon & Vinny's location!

Yelp
Great location, good service, and the pizza is delish. Restaurant is well organized and very clean. We ordered a variety of appetizers; it sounds simple, but hands down, the tuna bruschetta was the best I've ever had. All of the apps could have easily served as a main course - huge portions. Pizza crust was perfectly chewy and loaded with toppings. The corn agnolotti were plump and delicately flavored. Many families were enjoying the spaghetti. Looked delish, but hard to resist pizza!

Yelp
I loved spicy pasta a lot. The best was spicy fusilli with vodka. You should have reservation to get a table . I would say the service wasn't great, they rushed us to leave without letting us to enjoy our food, that wasn't pleasant. The other pasta wasn't full with flavor, pizza was ok, salad also wasn't good, just one salad lost and some souse ... Inside and outside dining available.

Yelp
Jon and Vinny's is the BOMB!!! This is the BEST location IMO!! First of all, free 2 hr parking in the structure literally RIGHT ACROSS the street. This is as amazing as it gets in LA hahaha. I love that there is a gorgeous patio out in front; it can get quite claustrophobic and stuffy inside. Our server was lovely and very nice. We ordered: LOCAL BURRATA + GRILLED CIABATTA: A nice app to share! I think a little bit more salt would've been great, but the burrata was so creamy and delicious. We love it when bread comes out piping hot! CAVATELLI W FENNEL SAUSAGE: This was actually a bit spicy. The fennel sausage was a great addition, and I really loved how the breadcrumbs and kale gave such opposite textures. The pasta was just beautifully cooked, so al dente, chewy and firm at the same time, and just overall incredibly satisfying. RIGATONI, CACIO E PEPE: This was amazing. The rigatoni was so thick, and also al dente! The seasoning was not crazy peppery but still maintained a slight kick. Sauce was incredible - creamy but not overwhelmingly rich. CORN AGNOLOTTI W BROWN BUTTER: Another incredible dish! I had no idea that the filling would actually be corn cream. It was slightly sweet, but had the signature savory fragrance of corn. The agnolotti itself was cooked perfectly, so chewy and thick. My only problem with this dish is that there's not enough of it! Honestly, all 3 of these pasta dishes were major hits. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. This is probably one of my favorite Italian places now!

Yelp
We've been to the original Jon & Vinny's on Fairfax and loved it, so we thought we'd try to walk into this branch since we were in the area. They said they were full from reservations, but luckily had a cancellation later on in the night. So yeah, definitely make a reservation if you're planning ahead. We got: - ricotta honey bruschetta: very good! It was a LOT of ricotta, so very rich and creamy. -gem salad: of course, a must get here. Has a surprising kick! -the Lola pizza: my partner wanted this, not what I would've ordered on my own, but it was pretty good! The crust was perfect and the flavors were good, a bit spicy. -cacio e pepe spaghetti: usually it's with rigatoni but we asked for it with spaghetti since I was feeling more like a long pasta. Both options are delicious!! The service was fast and attentive. We were also caught off guard by the 18% service charge thing. They have a lengthy blurb about it in the receipt and on their website. It was noticeable that the suggested "tip" that's in addition to the service charge was much less than the typical 20% (they suggest 8-15% instead). Overall, very reasonable for a dinner in Beverly Hills. I'd come again if I can make a reservation ahead of time!

Yelp
The food was good. This is why I gave it 2 stars. However, the 18% service fee was very deceptive. Yes, it was stated on the menu, however, it's no different than the fine print you would come across in any other deceptive type of advertising. The good news is these practices will be considered illegal starting July 1, 2024. According to our server, the 18% service fee goes directly to management. Being as that we didn't interact once with any manager or owner I'm not sure why they deserve this fee.

Yelp
This was such a great dinner spot! I didn't have any reservations but didn't have a problem getting seated. This may have been because I went at 6:30ish on a weeknight so if you're planning on going on the weekend or later at night, make a reservation! The food was amazing! I was blown away by the meatball, and I honestly wasn't expecting to. The spicy fusilli is also a must have. All the waiters were so kind and fast. They played great music and it was a great spot to go to with friends. There's a parking structure across the street that gives 2h free so that's a plus! However, if you go after 6pm, it's a $5 flat rate.

Yelp
Overall, our experience here was pleasant. Our server was attentive and patient with us, and the rest of the staff is friendly. We were told the restaurant is family style and everything comes out as it's ready, however it seems to be pretty normal portion sizes for individuals, and we got out appetizers first and all entrees at the same time. We started with the calamari, which was delicious. The steak had an interesting seasoning on it, but yummy regardless. The spicy rigatoni isn't too spicy, and was also good. While the food is delicious, it is a very small restaurant. We arrived around 1pm with no reservation, and were told that they "don't give wait times", and that it depends on whether they have reservations that cancel or don't show up. Luckily we only waited about 30 minutes, but the entire time we were waiting we were looking for other places to eat. Not having an estimated wait time, or even a range, is frustrating. We wanted to leave about 15 minutes into our wait, but were worried they would be ready to seat us at the empty table the second we walked away. It's just not realistic.... not knowing if we will be sat in the next 30 minutes or 3 hours from now.

Yelp
I had a truly incredible experience at Jon & Vinny's recently! It's an LA favorite so as someone who just moved here from the East Coast and LOVES Italian food, I knew I had to stop by. First off, the spaghetti limone was undoubtedly the star of the show here. The pasta was cooked to perfection, coated in a creamy lemon sauce, and topped with super crispy breadcrumbs. Definitely the most memorable dish! Everything else was also very solid. The chicken parm had a gorgeous crust on it and was topped with a tangy tomato sauce and loads of cheese. The meatballs were very flavorful and practically melted in your mouth. Jon & Vinny's is known for their pizzas and I thoroughly enjoyed the margherita we ordered, as it had a nice thin crust. The garlic bread was decent but a bit challenging to eat given the amount of parmesan on top and the tough ciabatta. It was fairly crowded at 8pm on a weekday, but the service was great (especially the lovely woman at the bar who had some great recs and frequently checked on us throughout our meal)! I will absolutely be returning to this spot.

Yelp
Jon & Vinnys food is very delicious. We ordered 4 pastas, 2 pizzas and many desserts. I forgot to take pictures of our main meals since my friends and I were very hungry as we had been waiting all day to eat here. Food here is 10/10 l Now for the 2 star review. If you read my reviews I rarely give 1 and 2 stars. I want to talk about service here; we had a reservation for 1:15pm on a Sunday. I called the restaurant and spoke with an employee and let them know we are running very late. The employee stated they have a 15 minute grace period. I let the employee know that we are running very late and passing the 15 minute wait; I proceeded to ask if this was an issue. The employee stated it wasn't an issue. Also, when I booked this reservation via Resy; there were many time slots open and logically thinking even if we missed our reservation we should be fine. As we arrive passing our reservation time slot we were greeted by the front host. I let the front host know about our reservation and we were very late. The front host gave us attitude and began lecturing us to call in advance that we are running late. My fiancé replied to her questions and the host very rude and aggressively became defensive. I intervened and explained to her that I had spoke to an employee and let them know that we were running late. After all that attitude (mind you the two paragraphs we're all a 30 second to a 1 minute interaction) the host sat us. In my mind; why even be rude to us right as you sit us down? Our server came to us and our server was a bit better; but the attitude was still there. I say that to say; the staff is not as friendly and look aggravated as they bring you the food you order. Inside; it's very clean, nice and it's awesome seeing the kitchen make your food. All that to say; I recommend coming to Jon & Vinnys for either take out or maybe try any of the other LA locations. Parking: Plenty of meter parking and parking garages nearby.

Yelp
Special shout out to Deanna (the manager) and Jose. They are so awesome and make dining in there such a great atmosphere and experience. Food was great and the service was amazing. Thank you Deanna and Jose!!

Yelp
First time dining at the Beverly Hills location great service love the music. Don't remember what I ordered, but I went back a week later and took it to go!

Yelp
LOVE Jon and Vinny's. This spot doesn't have a designated parking lot but there are structures really close to the area. The spicy fusilli is delicious!!! the service and ambience and really great also. I've dined indoor and outdoor both really great experiences. The gem lettuce salad is sooooooo good. I recommend trying almost everything.

Yelp
We absolutely love the food here! The pizza is incredible, the salads are delicious, so are the desserts. Service is great, they are incredibly fast. Prices are fair, considering the quality and care that goes into each of their dishes. Very clean and well run, ideal for a casual lunch or dinneror a date night. Kid friendly as well, highly recommended!

Yelp
I am sorry to report that overall the food was not that great, just okay, and when you add up the costs that include a mandatory 18% Beverly Hills location surcharge, it's not a place that I would return to. We had the chop salad, chicken parm and eggplant parm. We sent back the eggplant parm because it was hard and inedible. Disgusting taste. The Chicken Parm was very good, but at $26.00 plus tax and tip, it's not worth it. The chop salad was fine, had a salty dressing, lacked sufficient amount of garbanzo beans. They service was fine for this level of establishment. Food came out quick. I would rather they take longer and cook better food. Not a romantic dining establishment, you come here with friends or people you know well. They said they would take the Eggplant off the check but when the check came, the Eggplant was still on it. We pointed that out to the waitress, she smiled and then took it off. In the end a shared salad and shared chicken parm, and one beverage ended up costing almost $80! with tax, tip, and 18% surcharge. I wish them the best but I have no idea how they are going to keep the lights on soon. Because if you need to all of a sudden charge an 18% location surcharge, your operating expenses are exceeding revenue.

Oh M.

Yelp
Just amazing pizza! The kale hale was out of this world delicious! I normally don't write reviews
google avatar

Amie L.

Yelp
I am little confused as to why the reviews are so low! I came this weekend with a party of 5 and had a great time! I noticed the low reviews are due to the 18% service fee, but I had assumed that had included tip so I did not end up tipping extra. We ordered the Peach Burrata Salad, Corn Agnolotti, Spicy Vodka pasta, Pesto Pasta and the Bronx Bomber. The standout was the corn pasta! We had originally ordered one to share but ended up getting another plate because it was too delicious! The salad was disappointing just due to the small portions and lack of arugula. There was more cheese and peaches than actual salad. Everything else was delicious, nothing bad to say! We came on a Sunday at 5PM with reservations, but it wasn't too packed inside. The service was great and I'd come back again for the corn pasta :)
google avatar

Sarii J.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place out. Highly recommend the Spivey fussili (vodka pasta) and the ham and easy pizza. The pizza was amazing. Dough was mostly thin but just right amount of crust. It had ham and cheese and pepper but I can't say it was spicy. The spivy fussili was the basic vodka pasta but it hit just right. This was enough for two people in fact we only had one piece of pizza left. We are wine people and I can't say the wine was good. We got cab sav and honestly it tasted like cherry. Wouldn't get wine next time. But worth going back just for the food and vibes. Service was great. It's a pretty small place so make sure you get reservations. There a public parking structure right in front so parkings not an issue.
google avatar

Cathy K.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has such bad reviews! My friends and I visited this past weekend and had a reservation. We went around 430 and the check in process was smooth, place was pretty empty at the time. Service was decent and fast. We got the peach burrata salad, pesto pasta, spicy pasta, corn pasta & Bronx something pizza. Don't remember their exact names XD but the corn pasta was the star of the show forsure. The creamy corn filling was sweet and popped in your mouth. The pesto was good but a little salty. The spicy pasta was the perfect amount of heat & flavors. The only thing I wouldn't get again is the peach salad. Interior was small but cute. I would come back!
google avatar

Mister F.

Yelp
The pizza is delicious as are the salads and vegetable dishes. The wine list is an embarrassing show of obnoxiousness. It's a pizza, joint ladies and gentleman. The service, meh. No accommodation made for even simple special requests, that's a no sir, not at these prices.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed this place yet! Let's first off by saying how gorgeous the space is. You're greeted by lovely humans as well as the gorgeous wine bar, my goodness. The menu is obviously to die for, the staff is so pleasant and the music is much more tolerable here. I could rant about everything at this place but really the staff takes it for me. Women chefs in the kitchen and girl managers really make it so much softer and we love that. Some go to dishes - Spicy Fusilli Corn Agnolotti Spaghetti Bolognese Gem Lettuce Bronx Pizza LA Woman Pizza Little Nat's Pizza Chicken Parm Meatballs Really cannot miss at this location. Cheers!

Alice K.

Yelp
Food was ok, the ham pizza was superb though. Disgusting practice of the owners to charge an 18% service fee that goes directly to their pockets and not the servers. Parking across the street is free first two hours before 6
google avatar

Sean B.

Yelp
Food is sub par. Rigatoni broccolini was flavorless and undercooked. Ordered a zucchini salad and it was 90% lettuce. Wait times are very long. Servers are nice. Go to the Fairfax location, they do it right.
google avatar

Tatiana P.

Yelp
I like the food a lot, I do not like how they charge you for the insurance of their employees and if you say no to the additional charge they are not happy with you and kind of try to shame you about it... Basically: you have your bill + CA tax + 10-20% extra charge for employee insurance + 20% tip... I am sorry - but if you start a business and you hire people, it is on you to pay their benefits.
google avatar

Lydia T.

Yelp
I have previously visited Jon & Vinny's on Fairfax, Slauson and now Beverly Hills. Service at Beverly Hills was a little slow and our original hostess was a little rude, however, I understand when shifts change and when it's late afternoon. The food though! Amazing! So delicious. We had the fried calamari and meatballs as an appetizer and had the Brooklyn Dodger as our meal. Jon & Vinny's is still a must-have each time I visit LA. Thank you for a delicious meal before I drive back home to Las Vegas! I will be back at my next visit in January!!

Yelp
My favorite place to eat when I'm in Beverly Hills! Love the lemon pasta and jalapeño pizza! Yuuuuummmmyyyyy

Yelp
Just what we needed for a quiet Friday night. We wanted a small and intimate dinner but didn't make a reservation. Thankfully! The staff were so nice and seated us right away because it wasn't too busy. The Beverley Hills location, I think, had a more cozy and less hectic vibe which I like more. The gem lettuce is surprisingly so good, they added crunchy bread crumbs? and parmesan on top of the lettuce and it wasn't soggy at all! It was light and refreshing all while being filling too. I mean you can never go wrong with the spicy fusilli pasta, there's a reason why everyone, including myself, love it. I love the spice it gives to regular vodka and paired well with our salad. We finished it off with tiramisu which was dense but not too dense and not too sweet, since I'm not a big sweets person. For a Friday night, I really appreciated how they seated us super fast and that we just got to have a chill dinner.

Yelp
I am a Latina woman, and I arrived on 09/22/2023 around 5 pm after my OBG appointment. I was starving, and my husband was parking. Since we were walking in, I decided to step in and wait for the host. When she arrived (a tall blonde girl) at the host stand at the entry, she asked me if I had a reservation. I replied that I just wanted to know if a table for 2 was available (half the tables were empty), but no, I didn't have a reservation. Then she looked at me and said, 'You can have this table,' pointing to a corner table inside, 'but I need the table back in 1 hour.' She also sounded very rude. Feeling hungry, and being 5 months pregnant, I thought, 'I'm so hungry, I don't care if she's rude, I need to eat ASAP after my doctor's appointment.' She then sent someone to seat me and told the waiter to remind me that I could only stay for 1 hour. I could tell the waiter was ashamed, and the second waiter seemed awkward too. When my husband arrived, the waiter said to me, ignoring him, 'I am aware you can only be here for an hour.' My husband, who is a super white dude, was shocked because not even Nobu dares to say such a thing, lol. He said to me, 'So, because you're Latina, and half the tables are empty...' I noticed that they seated other people after me and never mentioned anything about the 'hour limit,' even if they had the entire restaurant booked at 6 pm. I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe they had reservations. The food was good; it was my second time eating there in a month because it's very close to my doctor's office. However, there are so many good restaurants around Beverly Hills where you can spend your money. By the way, we ate in like 30 minutes because we were starving and had dessert at the Greek yogurt place next door, which was so nice and had a completely different vibe. Just a heads up for Latinos - the host is not friendly, and it's not worth it. The experience was awful, even if the food was good. I hope the service improves, (just the host attending Friday 09/22/23 at 5 pm) everyone else is super friendly

Yelp
Nice ambience, menu is fancy for pasta, pizza and salads. I was greeted pleasantly and was seated for my 1 person party. The music was nice, 90s east coast vibes and the bar wall lined with various wine selections were appealing. The young lady explained that their water is $ 9. I asked for "free" water with lemon because I dont like the word tap. Lol I requested lemons but she stated no one cut them earlier so they werent available...Maybe table sat across from a platter of lemons. Unbelievable! And you think the 18% gratuity that is automatically included in your tab would pay for some slices of lemon. Anywho... Next the food. I ordered the local burrata with toast $12.25 The spaghetti with zucchini garlic and olive oil $16.75 Both over priced and lacked flavor. I love natural ingredients but they do have seasonings as well! Sadly, that pasta dish was a silent killer for me. It taste like the chef sauteed the zucchini in olive oil and a few shavings of garlic. Once the pasta was done, they drained it and threw the noodles in the pan with the zucchini and swirled it around before finally adding it to the plate. I barely tasted any garlic until I found a few shavings on the plate. I asked for salt and pepper. Ive neverrr done that at a restaurant. I was disappointed and wished I went to Olive Garden.

Yelp
The food is delicious...however the 18% service charge that does not include the servers tip is questionable, especially in Beverly Hills. Went during their lunch time rush which definitely felt busy and packed. There was both indoor and outdoor seating which was great. The City Parking Lot is located across the street which offers free parking. There are also meters that surround the restaurant. SPICY FUSILLI, VODKA, BASIL, PARMIGIANO: seems to be one of their most popular dishes, and rightfully so. It wasn't too spicy. The sauce was delicious although felt like it could have used more cheese. CHICKEN PARMESAN, POMODORO, MOZZARELLA: large portions of chicken, cheesy with every bite. They have a wine bar towards the front of the restaurant as well. The place is small and it felt as if they try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. There is minimal space between the tables so you are kinda sitting like sardines. Also no breadsticks. When you think Italian and the 18% service charge, the lease you can do is offer breadsticks. Especially since that would have paired well with the leftover sauces on the plates ordered.

Yelp
The music is too loud, but I'll get to that in a second. I visited this Jon & Vinny's for the first time, on Thanksgiving eve, conveniently located across the street from a first-two-hours-free parking structure, which is dope. I got a pizza Margherita and it was DOPE! Excellent sauce, perfect consistency cheese, thin crust... chef's kiss. What's more, it held up as nuked-next-day pizza like a boss. Reasonable price for the size and neighborhood. Inside is upscale cozy. Outdoor seating is sidewalk-side, very much a "place to be seen." Walk-in wasn't an option cuz all seating was reserved for another hour, hostess was pleasantly apologetic about it and suggested the takeout window in an adjacent, narrow alley (which is kind of weird for the location but actually works). Small line of pushy taskrabbiters, but the guy at the window was exceptionally polite and helpful. You know that thing of when you say "yeah, I'll get a coke," and then a minute later go "actually, you know what? I'll pass on the coke, and then three minutes later you're all like "really sorry, changed my mind on the coke again, is that cool?" Not saying I did that, but on the off-chance I did, Eric would have been the kind of guy who was absolutely fine with it, friendly and accommodating. Had to knock off a star because DAYAMN they were BLASTING music outside, and I can't remember for sure if they were blasting it inside as well, 50% certain. Like shockingly loud. A little light music? Sure. But blasting? Come on. Stop it. As far back as Mehrabian and Russell, 1974, countless researchers have conducted innumerable studies on the effect of music on consumer behavior. It's been downhill ever since. I count earbuds with noise cancellation among my blessings. Look, people--Jon, Vinny, whomever--there's research out there. Find it. Please. Find the research that can determine once and for all: is it too loud, or am I just too old? Or maybe just turn it down. Please. A LOT. Cuz if you keep it up, I'm taking the kids and I'm going to my sister's. THANK you.

Yelp
The quality of the food here is not good. I don't get the 18% charge either. The only dish that's descent is the chicken cutlet.

Yelp
Super cute interior and we were able to get a table almost right away at 5pm on a Tuesday. The host was super nice and accommodating. The spicy fusili was pretty good, but small for the price. The White Lightning pizza was big and filling, but the cheese was kind of heavy. However, both dishes were great. 4 stars since it was good, but pretty pricey. Parking: Parking structure right across from the restaurant. Free parking until 6pm on weekdays (not sure about weekends).

Yelp
The food is deliciously excellent. Everyone I know that has been here always has something good to say about Jon & Vinny's. I've had the pizza before but the linguine and clams is my absolute favorite thing to order. It's not a big dish but it's just enough to fill you up and finish. The clams are chopped, the garlic is crushed and it's served in a light white wine sauce with tiny flakes of chili, which gives it a mild kick. When you're done with the pasta, the remaining garlic and white wine sauce can be a tasty spread with a slice of their toasted bread. The place is small so any group especially if you're more than four will be tough. It also gets crowded during lunch and dinner but it's nice to sit outside or even inside and people watch too. Service is good and there is ample public parking across the street which is free for two hours. The food is pricey but overall it's definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
GEM LETTUCE, CALABRIAN CHILI DRESSING, PARMIGIANO, BREAD CRUMBS: this was surprisingly filling. Definitely try this out. Lettuce was crunchy and very fresh. BRONX BOMBER: thin crust, lots of toppings, generous amount of cheese. SPICY FUSILLI: pasta was al dente, sauce was flavorful and had a good amount of spice to it. My favorite dish! MARINARA BRAISED MEATBALLS, RICOTTA, GARLIC BREAD: the meatballs were amazing, the bread was crispy but soft on the inside. This is very filling RICOTTA, ORANGE BLOSSOM HONEY, SESAME SEEDS: ricotta was very light, the bread was a bit burnt. But it was a unique pairing with the sesame seeds. You can replicate this dish at home

Yelp
I really enjoy Jon & Vinny's, both fairfax and bh locations. Parking here might be hard, but shouldn't be hard as there is a parking garage right across the street. Ordered the spicy vodka, zucchini salad, margherita pizza, and the ricotta toast with a bottle of white. I would say it tastes exactly the same as the fairfax location. flavorful, filling, and decently priced. recommend making reservations, and outdoor seating is always fun~

Yelp
Jon and Vinny's was so good, I wish I could be a Jon and Vinny! I went with a group of girlfriends and we ordered so much just so we could try. every dish that came out was better than the last. The flavors?! Seriously might be my new favorite Italian Spot

Yelp
Look, overall this place is fine. The pasta is average with not a ton of flavor and the texture is just ok. However, the gem lettuce salad is really special - it's spicy and so so good. That said, it's really the only standout on the menu in my opinion.

Yelp
I was shocked after eating there recently when I actually looked at my bill (which most people don't do), only to find an 18% "Service Fee" automatically charged. Then, when it is time to sign, they don't can't mention that the service fee was already included and ask you to fill in for a tip. Thus, you end up "double tipping!" That is such a scam. I thought that they only do this in Miami. This is nutz!

Yelp
I never write a review but I could not stop myself as I was so appalled by Jon & Vinny's. There was 6 of us for dinner at the Beverly Hills location of Jon & Vinny's. When the bill came there was a service charge of $32.00. I called over the waitress to ask her what that charge was all about. She said I'll be right back, 2 minutes later a manager came by and I asked her she said it was a service charge, I said for what? she said the house, but I could leave more money for the servers. Is Jon & Vinny's crazy?? We will never go back there ever again Anyone eating at there restaurants check your Bill, your getting ripped off.

Yelp
Pretty good. I'm not a huge Italian fan, but I liked the mozzarella sticks. The beer and wine was fantastic. The pizza was weak and the service was ok. Constant loud throwbacks on a short loop, but I liked it in a guilty pleasure kind of way. The room is way too small. This place has a cult following in LA it seems, maybe it's because the pizza boxes look cool or the doodles on the pilsner. Not quite sure. I probably won't come back.

Yelp
The prices are decent for the quality of the food. The pizzas and pastas are very savory and it's all freshly made. I love Jon & Vinny's!

Yelp
I've been a John and Vinny's fan since their first restaurant opened on Fairfax Ave. fifteen years ago. They made good, simple Italian food that had a flare for the American palette. Red sauce was their thing; and what they did with this one ingredient was magical. Fifteen years ago, it was harder to get a table at John and Vinny's on Fairfax for dinner than a Lakers floor seat. Now, with four active John and Vinny's restaurants, it's much easier to grab a seat and dine. So, tonight, after a whirlwind nonstop Friday, we four decided to stay home order dinner in and watch a movie. We ordered: * The White Bronco Pizza * Little Nats Pizza * Bronx Bomber Pizza * Spicy Fusilli, Vodka, Basil, Parmigiano Pasta * Rigatoni Cacio E Pepe, Pecorino Pasta * House Salad Little Gem We corked a beautiful Barolo, added some chili oil to our pizzas, and had a wonderful meal.

Yelp
Food slaps, first time visiting the J&V's in Beverly Hills - typically go to Brentwood.. I always order the spicy fusilli and am never disappointed. Today also tried the chicken parmesan which was very good. Calamari and avocado toast were OK, you can probably find something a little better - for this, 4/5 stars
