"All locations confirmed open though online orders may be slower than usual." - Rebecca Roland
"This local mini-chain needs little to no introduction. The Italian-American spot now has a Studio City location (it's first in the Valley) with the same menu of pizzas, well-dressed caesars, and heavily Instagrammed pastas. You can expect the same trademark aesthetic, too, with enough blonde wood to build 100 Finnish saunas. " - sylvio martins

"Operated by Joint Venture Restaurant Group, Jon & Vinny’s is described as a popular Italian restaurant with five Los Angeles locations (most recently Studio City) that became part of public scrutiny in 2023 when a class-action by servers alleged a service fee shown on checks was not fully remitted to employees and could reasonably be understood by customers as gratuity. The restaurant initially added a note to checks clarifying the fee was not gratuity and later used a QR code to explain the charge, but after a hearing in May 2024 Jon & Vinny’s announced in June that it would remove the service fee and return to a traditional tip model." - Rebecca Roland

"Opened on August 14 after two and a half years of development, the Studio City outpost of Jon & Vinny’s aims to replicate the ambience and buzz of the original while adding a full liquor license and bar. I appreciate the familiar design touches—light wood furnishings and soft lighting—so you immediately know it’s a Jon & Vinny’s, but the full bar is what sets this location apart: bar reservations are unavailable to encourage casual drop-ins, and Helen Johannesen’s cocktail program riffs on classics with two takes on a Negroni (one on the rocks and one poured tableside), a margarita, high-end spirits by the glass, and retail bottles behind the bar. The food menu is intentionally the same as other locations to avoid disappointing regulars, with breakfast options like Anson Mills polenta with olive oil and Parmigiano Reggiano, buttermilk pancakes, spaghetti carbonara, and a breakfast pizza with potatoes and a fried egg; lunch and dinner focus on house-made pastas, pizzas, and larger proteins such as chicken Parmesan and a red wine–marinated sirloin steak, while bestsellers include margherita pizza, spicy fusilli, and a gem lettuce salad with Calabrian chile dressing, followed by desserts like lemon ricotta cookies, tiramisu, and Italian rainbow cookies. The Studio City restaurant is family-friendly (a kids menu with spaghetti, shells, and pizza plus seating inside and on the patio), the owners are excited about community response and new local-studio–inspired merch, and Jon & Vinny’s Studio City is located at 11334 Moorpark Street, Studio City, CA 91602, open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Rebecca Roland

"I'm seeing that Jon & Vinny’s, a popular Italian restaurant with four other locations across Los Angeles, is expanding to the Valley: signage is up at its new location along Moorkpark Boulevard on the corner where Studio City meets North Hollywood. The restaurant hasn’t announced an opening date and hasn’t posted about the expansion, though its Instagram account commented on the Tolucan Times post with a “shush” emoji; two liquor license requests for the new location are still being processed. Expect a menu similar to their other locations with dishes like marinara braised meatballs, rigatoni with broccolini, and Anson Mills polenta." - Rebecca Roland
