My family and I went in on a weeknight, with reservations (just in case). We were seated and greeted! Our waiter/bartender was so very accomidating, kind and friendly. He was informed of my daughter's birthday, (9) and treated her so special. He helped us maneuver the menu with suggestions and gave great service! All the food was delicious. And she even got a special sundae to herself. She was greeted by other staff members and wished a very happy birthday. Our family had a tremendous time with fabulous food and can't wait until we return. Thanks Jon's Grille

Had a great experience at Jon’s today! The first time I came, I couldn’t say the same. But I promised I wouldn’t review u til I gave it another chance. It was lunch but not crazy busy, so we sat quickly at the bar. Mar was right there to greet us and tell us about the special. She was amazing through the whole experience. I ordered the double flatly Hatch Chile. It was cooked perfectly. The bun was toasted a little more than I like, but not burnt. The toppings were carefully placed so intently that I never lost a single bit of burger through the whole time I was eating it. The o ion rings were a little thin, but cooked perfectly and crispy. The Ranch was incredible! The staff definitely kept the place clean from the bar top to the bathrooms. I’m glad I returned, because this experience will bring me back many more times!

Had an amazing date night at Jons Grille last night. Our server Mar, was on top of everything. We came in specifically for martini day, and the expresso martinis alone were worth the trip. Our food came out way quicker than expected and we were vibing to an awesome acoustic set by a local musician while Mar made sure our glasses were never empty. Foodwise, we tried one of the features, meatballs, appetizer sampler with burnt ends, ribs and wings, and a dilla for good measure. Everything had such a good flavor! Seasoning is certainly used. Only note is that it was a lil saucy for my liking, but thats only because the meat had such a great flavor and was definitely the star. Overall such an awesome night and cant wait for visit!

Best BBQ I've had in Fort Worth 😋 i can't wait to go back. Great vibes great energy from the staff. I had a very tasteful drink from the bar. Please check them out! They have a LIVE BAND on Thursday nights!

I recently went to eat here for the third time and I just love this place!!! Our server Hayden was amazing!! As far as servers go he was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. His trainee did great as well. The brisket grill cheese and corn dog nuggets were so delicious. We will be back.

Google
Food amazing, I had a great time there especially with the staff. They are super friendly and the employee who stuck out the most was the bartender, Mare. Her energy was amazing she made me feel at home she was super sweet as well. Her work was quick yet the drinks turned out amazing. Overall my experience was incredible I will for sure be coming back soon.

I had the pleasure of dining at Jon Grille recently, and what truly made the experience stand out was our server, Hayden. From start to finish, Hayden was exceptional—warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. He made us feel welcomed the moment we sat down and kept that same energy throughout the entire evening. Whether it was answering questions about the menu, making great recommendations, or just checking in at the right times, Hayden handled everything with grace and genuine care. It’s rare to come across service that feels this thoughtful and effortless. Hayden, thank you for going above and beyond. You made our night at Jon Grille feel special, and I hope this message reaches you—you truly deserve the recognition!

Google
I really wanted to like this place given it's pedigree. The setup is good with lots of TVs for watching sports, bringing the family in for a meal, or sitting at the bar. However, the service is really lacking (super slow and inattentive at times, it was a super slow Tuesday night). The food was "okay," specifically the BBQ. I'd say the smoked wings were the best part of that. Burgers were tasty and fried pickles hot and crispy....fries were soggy. Parking is complex, but that was expected based upon location. It wasn't horrible, guess i just expected better.

Yelp
Jon's Grille is awesome! The menu items I have tried there have been really good, but the best part is the waitstaff...especially Sarah P. She is attentive, friendly, outgoing, knows her stuff about the menu, and always has an answer to any questions we have (and gives good recommendations too). She treats everyone as if they are friends or family, so we always try to sit in her section. The burgers are awesome, especially the one with mushrooms and goat cheese...my personal favorite (which I wouldn't have tried if Sarah hadn't suggested it). Stop in for a cold beer, a good burger or bbq, and relax knowing you will have good food and excellent service if you ask for Sarah.

Yelp
I remember this spot as the Aardvark from my TCU days, so I was surprised to see a restaurant when we went down to visit. This spot had good (deserved) reviews, so we decided to check it out. Think sports bar with elevated selections. This is definitely not your typical wings and pizza spot: the burgers are great and their milk shakes are to die for. The cobbler and s'mores shakes were both delicious and truly a highlight of the meal! I was sold on the featured burger/burger of the month, which was a Hawaiian style burger with grilled pineapple and teriyaki, plus the usual fixings. Overall it was tasty and the fries were good. We had started with some chips and queso which were also a pleasant surprise. I tend to set the bar low for sports bar queso, but this was honestly so good we ordered a second round. Our server was truly amazing: she helped us make our selections (all her recs were superb) and also hooked us up with a larger bowl of queso on our second order. Parking was the only "issue" per se as there really isn't a lot of available space behind the restaurant. We ended up parking on a side street nearby. Overall, this was a fun night with some good food. Would definitely stop by again!

Yelp
First time here ! Nice atmosphere! It was my first time here. I stopped in for some burnt ends and a burger. I got talked into the burger of the month. It was topped with Asian slaw. I should have just got the regular burger but I finished all of it because the beef was good and juicy. The burnt ends were over cooked and I didn't finish all of them. The sauce wasn't that great either. I'll give this place another try in the future.

Yelp
Awesome location! Fantastic service, each and every time that we have visited! Fantastic food from Jon Bonnell! One of the best sports bars in Fort Worth! Fantastic appetizers! Great burgers!

Yelp
I didn't appreciate being overlooked by the servers when we came in, but the food was excellent. The bartender made up for it. It has plenty of space & it's comfortable in there.

Yelp
My burger was great! The bartender was friendly/ attentive and the Miller Lite draft was ice cold. Great place to go!

Yelp
Really like to support local business. We just seemed to have hit this place on a bad night. The food was not good, burgers were smaller than in previous times and the sides were just fair (we had burgers & fries, as well as beans and Mac & cheese.

Yelp
Had been wanting to try for a bit and took the opportunity while out in Fort Worth on Saturday 1/25/25... When we walked in we were greeted and told to sit anywhere... Big open space with mix of high tops & low tables... we chose a high top and although it did take a bit for someone to bring us menus and take our drink order, no big problem. We chose to get fried pickles for an appetizer which was a great choice... fried perfectly and the spicy ranch was a great dipping sauce. For our meal I had the recommended Grilled Chzbrger and my daughter had the Cowtown Clucker. Both came with 'hand-punched' fries, which were awesome. The sandwiches were big and cooked on point. Each were topped with a Serrano lime aioli which had a somewhat unexpected kick, but definitely a nice flavor. Wait staff was helpful with recommendations and extremely friendly. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely come back to try other offerings.

Yelp
We visit Jon's a lot. Usually, it is for the BBQ baked potato or the BBQ plate. A side of grilled jalapeños on request is a must. The brisket is usually a winner, accompanied by the jalapeños cheese sausage. The milkshakes are also a plus. We visited for a late night milkshake a few times, sans dinner, and it was great. The staff is usually nice and helpful as well. This is also a good location to watch sports games over a snack or dinner. We enjoy Jon's and have added it as one of our regular go-tos.

William C.

Yelp
Food great service great they speak well to you and dont make you feel like a bother. Took my son for early dinner setting was great. Our server Mare was great with us.

Yelp
Hayden did a great job as our waiter and the chicken sandwich came out spectacular as always!

Yelp
Very disappointed. We've been coming here for years and my husband's favorite burger is the goat cheese burger with black garlic aïoli. THEY TOOK IT OFF THE MENU. :(.

Yelp
This place was one of the best burgers we've ever had. We started with the burnt ends which were great and had the queen of the south cocktail which which was good too. We sat at the bar and our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. It was a Monday afternoon on spring break so very quiet but it was a sports bar kinda vibe so I can see it being fun and busy if there's a game on. So then we had the grilled chezburger flatty but added bacon and it was soooo good. The Munster cheese melted perfectly and the garlic smoked serrano aioli gave it a little heat but not too hot because I don't do super spicy. The flavor was unreal! The lettuce and tomato were fresh and had that crunch and the bacon was cooked perfectly too. The hand punched fries were great also good seasoning and cooked well. We would definitely come back here
google avatar

Yelp
We just stopped in for dessert and were very pleasantly surprised. Our waitress(KK) was super helpful and very friendly and the milkshakes are off the chart!!

Yelp
5 Stars across the Board, Great Food, Service,Atmosphere. We had the BBQ Plate with Brisket, Burnt ends which were absolutely perfect our sides were Mexican elote and sweet potatoes fries everything exceeded expectation we started off with the Trainwreck appetizer which consisted of Housemade Fries, Tortilla Chips, Queso, Chopped Brisket, Jalapeños, Scallions & Cilantro. We enjoyed a Margarita and Balconces during the meal. Guys it just doesn't get much better than this we split the platters and brought some home. For what most places are charging for brisket nowadays this absolutely the most reasonable best tasting I've had in quite some time.

Yelp
I love Jon's Grille. Great menu. Jordan was our server and she was great. I've been around a long, long, time so when I say something is the best I've tasted I have many comparisons. Jon's has the best onion rings I've ever tasted.
google avatar

Yelp
Only my second time here but definitely my last. Walked in with a few friends on a Tuesday night and there were only 3 tables filled. The same waiter who served us a few weeks prior was standing on the other side of the room just staring at us. We waited for about 20 minutes as we watched him check on the other table and walk out of sight TWICE and both of the bartenders disappeared. Every time he came back out, he stood in the same spot and just stared at us. No introduction, no drinks, nothing. I've seen bad service but no service at all is crazy. Save your time and go to Buffalo Bros across the street... Or literally anywhere else.

Yelp
Nice bar and restaurant with large seating areas and family-friendly spaces. Super friendly staff and good service. The food was fresh with tender cuts of meat and nice Rye bread. My favorite was the burnt ends... love the flavor!! Chips and queso were good and the salsa was amazing! (It is spicy!) I was excited to try out this spot from some recent reviews on a FB foodie group and I would return to try more. Tips: parking sucks, but worth a short walk if you park on the residential street a few blocks away.

C R.

Yelp
No service at all. Servers stand around doing nothing. Not busy. Just no management. Was looking forward to the food. Far cry from Bonnels usual.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by this spot for a late dinner with my friend while staying by TCU. It was pretty empty around 9:30 PM on a Saturday. The waiters were super friendly and we were able to pick out whichever seats we wanted. There were seats by the bar, high top seats, and lower general style seating. I ordered a brisket sammich with onion rings. The sandwich was packed with brisket to the point that it was falling out. They provided onions and pickles on the side as well. The plate was packedddd with a mountain of onion rings. They were super thin and crispy, they tasted like fries. Overall, the meal was super yummy!
google avatar

Yelp
We loved the food and the service! We sat at the bar and the bartender was super attentive and friendly. We had been wanting to try out the burgers for a while and they were well worth it! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We've come in to Jon's several times before, and it's never busy, a complete ghost town most times with another table or two at most. Saturday, September 14th, we came in at around 10:30 PM. Just after a TCU football game, and it was busy (for once) we expected a wait, but were seated immediately. After about 10 minutes, the manager came and took our drink order. All was fine, and we gave grace due to the fact that the restaurant was packed. After an additional 15 minutes, nobody had came by and even taken our order. Meanwhile, a table that had arrived after us had already gotten their food. I went looking for the manager and she promptly took our order. About 20 minutes afterwards, a tall male server came up to the table and said "Sorry about that wait guys, we're backed up with about an hour wait up front. What can I get for you today?" which confused the two of us, and we informed him that the manager had already came by and taken our order. He walked away afterwards. We waited another 10 minutes and we had seen two more tables which ordered after us get their food. We left $6 on the table for drinks, and left. We were there for about an hour and hadn't gotten any kind of proper service, aside from the female manager taking our order. Everything was so disorganized, the male host was bussing tables and running food trying to handle the stress of it all, food runners cutting people off when practically running to a table, etc. I understand it was busy, but there had been nothing done to rectify the fact that we had been ignored, or forgotten in some sense. I've never been more disappointed in Jon's than I am as of right now, and it doesn't look like we'll be back anytime soon.

Yelp
My two friends and I had lunch at Jon's cafe on Tuesday. We greeted warmly upon entering and told we could seat anywhere. They have quite a few high tables, and several low/regular tables. We had great service. He gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to order. We started with the Ric-rolled Poppers. I ordered the Mamaw's Pralines milkshake. We had the Panther City Fatty burger, brisket sandwich, and sliced brisket and burnt ends. Everything we ordered was outstandingly delicious! Parking was the only issue we had, but it is located in the TCU area.

Yelp
Good food, good service, and supporting locals at the same time! A friend told us about Jon's Grille a few weeks ago and it ended up on my need to visit list of restaurants. After understanding the history, it's easy to understand why the burgers and brisket are so good. The option to have a fatty or a flatty (thick 1/2lb or 1/3lb smash) is also a welcomed one. We tried the Panther City burger and smoked chicken salad, a side of Mac & cheese with candied bacon and a pie of the day shake! While the shake did take a good chunk of time for it to arrive at our table, it was IMPRESSIVE. It includes a slide of their pie (we did German chocolate) in a huge glass drizzled to the nines with chocolate syrup. The service was also excellent, which feels like a rare occasion these days. Will definitely return for more milkshake goodness and also interested checking out Bonnell's steakhouse. Thanks for a memorable experience!

Yelp
I did a double-take when I heard that there was a new iteration of Jon's Grille near campus. Naturally my curiosity demanded further investigation, so we opted to stop in at Jon's for halftime during the TCU vs OU game. For TCU alumni who do not know yet, this new Jon's is in the space that once housed the Aardvark (RIP) and is helmed by Fort Worth restaurateur Jon Bonnell of Bonnell's/Waters/Buffalo Bros fame. This is the perfect place to watch a game and make no mistake, it is a sports bar. TVs adorn all the walls and the menu is really focused on the burgers and sandwiches. One feature we really liked was how the outdoor seating was first come, first serve, you just walk in. This is a benefit was the indoor dining area had a 30 minute wait and there was plenty of space "on the rail" as the Bonnell staff call it. For Saturdays in October, Bonnell's is a great place to be as much of the space is open air due to the sliding garage doors as well as the accordion windows. In or out, Spring and Fall will be nice here. Now being a Bonnell venture, expectations were high on the food. We started with the bacon burnt ends for the appetizer and we quickly gobbled them up. For lunch, My brother opted for the Patty Melt and I ordered the Best Maid Chicken Sammich. Both were great. The Chicken Sammich was crispy and tender with that soft bun keeping it all together. So I think the new Jon's is a welcome addition to campus as on gamedays the handful was restaurants in walking distance fill up so quickly. I plan to come back to try out more of the menu, specifically the burgers. If you haven't tried it yet, go enjoy some lunch in the cool October air.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here since it opened and it did not let down! Bonnells restaurants are always great. We started with the burnt ends and they're smoked perfectly. I created my own burger. I did a fatty with LTOP, bacon, grilled onions, fried jalapenos, and garlic siracha sauce. Holy smokes it was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had.
google avatar

Geoff M.

Yelp
We are familiar with Fort Worth but had not been here before. The caprese burger here was one of the best burgers I have ever had. I am not exaggerating. Most restaurants make a decent burger, and some places have a better burger than most. This was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Try it for yourself. Otherwise it's a classic bar setting with good service. The beer selection is reasonable with 15-20 beers on tap, many of them local. There are other menu items I would like to try but the burger was so good I might just get that again. We will be back for sure. Don't miss out and give it a shot.

Yelp
I had been eyeing this place for quite some time and was so excited when I talked hubs into having a lunch date with me here one weekend. I had read about the fly issue on past reviews, but figured I could fight thru it since I usually love a good patio. And it wasn't a hot summer day so I figured they wouldn't be too bad. I was wrong. But I'll get to that in a bit. We were sat immediately. The place wasn't packed, but there were several occupied tables. Our waitress came quickly to take our drink order and was very friendly. Hubs ordered the old fashioned and I ordered the west texas spritzer. The presentation of the old fashion can't be beat....but the price leaves much to be desired at $20. My cocktail was also overpriced for what I got as the large ice cube only allowed for about a quarter of actual drink. But they were both good. We ordered the Ric Rolled Poppers as a starter. They were SO good and the highlight of our meal. I would order those for my meal if we come back. Order these, you won't regret it! For my meal I ordered the flatty grilled chzburger. The burger was overcooked so the texture wasn't the best and the flavor was missing so I added some salt and pepper. Hubs ordered the patty melt which was also over cooked and he was not a fan of the rye bread. Kiddo enjoyed his BYOB cheeseburger. I will say the fries are really, really, good and are a meal on its own. Once our food came our waitress got seemed to get busy so we didn't see her much, even after we asked for to go boxes (we ended up grabbing our own after we never received them) and our check. I was charged for a fatty, but didn't want to argue the price since we weren't sure how long it would take to get corrected. Now the flies. While we were sitting inside, the large windows separating the patio and the inside were open, so the flies flies flies were everywhere! I love enjoying the nice weather, but this was overkill. We saw some tables with a little fan on the table to deter the flies, but weren't offered one. We could have requested one I suppose, but if you know you have a fly problem, they should be a staple at every table. We may be back as we could have come at an off time. But with the over pricing of food and drinks, the quality of the food not living up to those prices, it's unlikely. Just because a famous name is attached to a restaurant shouldn't signify over charging customers unless the quality lives up to the name.

Brenna H.

Yelp
I love this placeeee. Their burgers are absolutely delicious. Fantastic shake options. Good appetizers. Bonnell did it again! It also doesn't get super packed at the bar on weekend evenings which is cool if you just want to grab a quick bite. Ask for Tyler at the bar. He's the greatest.
google avatar

Damon B.

Yelp
Incredible place to watch a game, and have a good meal. The service was excellent. There are a lot of great options on the menu, and they have a full bar and a great draft beer selection.

Whitni C.

Yelp
Excellent service Excellent food All around fantastic I read several reviews saying the queso was just average but we thought it was delicious and the hot sauce was smoky good! My son got the frog dog with a side of macaroni and cheese (the bacon on top took it from great to delicious). My daughter is a vegetarian but she said the grilled cheese and fries were so good. I ordered the chzburger and it was the best burger I have ever had...ever. Also the baked potato was as perfect as a baked potato could be. Oh and they both got a shake to take with them. They said it tasted just like thin mints! I am not sure why I am so surprised it was so delicious...after all Bonnells is as good as it gets. I guess I just thought a burger was a burger but not true. This place is a new favorite.
google avatar

Erica V.

Yelp
We went and it was so good! Now the burger is cooked medium well and I like medium rare but it will do. The brisket was amazing. I loved it. The baked potato was good as well. Brisket was cold but still good. The Mexican elote was okay. Overall was a good experience. Would come again!

Yelp
The boozy milkshakes are to die for! Have to have one every time we go. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
This place hits every single time. Great location and vibes and the food is awesome. Fried pickles are a must and their brisket is to die for!
google avatar

James D.

Yelp
We had dinner here after a visit to the Lightscape at the FW Botanical Gardens. They have a good on tap beer selection. The meal started off with the chips and queso which was pretty standard. I will say though that the added surprise was the homemade salsa that came with it. Had some good kick to it, but not overly spicy. Younger daughter got a baked potato and added bacon and ate every single bit of it. Wife and older daughter split a build your own burger and enjoyed it. I had the grilled chzburger which had grilled Muenster cheese and a Serrano garlic aioli. The burger was really good but there was way too much aioli on there. It made the bottom bun so soggy that I ended up just removing it. Hand punched fries came in the side and they were a solid addition. I always like a hand made French fry. I'd return to this place again.

Yelp
Travis is the GREATEST!! Ask for an Old Fashioned or a Classic Whiskey Sour to capitalize on the experience!!

Yelp
This is the second time I have been back in a little over a month. Excellent food and even better is the service by both gentlemen that have served me there. Excellent selection of beers all reasonably price and ice cold, the way you like them . The beans were amazing! Brisket and burnt ends were excellent During both visits. This business was busy for a Wednesday night. Noise level wasn't bad either. I would say a must go place to go to when in town. I know I will be back again!
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
Led to this place by a local foodie group and was immediately sat upon arrival. It was mostly empty on a random Sunday evening. Service started strong but waned as time went on, we stopped getting drinks and several things were missed. But let's talk food! We opted for the elote fritters to start. These will bring me back. De. lish. usss! Unique and flavorful. Perfect. I've been on a Yuengling kick for beer (not on their menu) and so didn't get any this time but their alcohol menu was super decent otherwise! My husband got the chorizo blend burger which was super awesome. He also got fries. I was a little disappointed in the soggy fries but they taste a lot like Rodeo Goats in comparison. I got onion rings which they forgot (going back to some hiccups in the service) and corrected. I liked them better than the fries BUT both options... honestly, I'd probably just get a burger next time. Skip it if you're on the fence. We ordered the Mac n cheese with the candied bacon. It was good but also something I don't feel I'd rush back to for $6. Not the best I've had but it was good. The burger? Yea. 5 stars EASY for mine. I did a build your own with balsamic onions and Serrano aioli. I asked for bacon but it was forgotten (oops again). They were supposed to take it off the check but forgot, we didn't contest it because they also didn't charge us for drinks so we felt it was a fair trade? I think it would have sent it next level with bacon but it was super messy (did I mention messy?) :)It took out an entire napkin with the mess level. Oof! Greasy goodness combined with that balsamic makes it a knife and forker if you don't wanna just get in there but omg delicious. They have banana pudding on the menu. I am a self-proclaimed connoisseur of banana pudding and can say 100%... this was a failure. It was ok, it had at least the basics... some fresh bananas on top and vanilla wafers crumbled. The pudding was instant Banana flavored stuff and not actual homemade custard, which hurt the dessert overall. The wafers were too crunchy and hadn't had time to get a mix of soft mixed in and crunchy on top. It was 2 stars at best, bummer. Overall, the experience was good, not great, and not epic level. They have a fantastic burger with local flavors and some unique menu options. We will go back for another shot at an additional star, it has the potential to get there.
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
As expected from Chef Bonnell...burgers are excellent! The onion rings were fresh and tasty...and the restaurant was clean and orderly. Short staffed but who isn't these days.... We will be back!

Yelp
We hereby rename this "Jon's 5-star Grille" All definitely should visit for 4 reasons: (1) Jon's FOOD (burgers are best of the best beef, fries are hand cut, vegetarian options too!!), (2) Jon's' VIBE (all wood decor, big bar, tvs to watch games... think hometown cozy), (3) Jon's' STAFF (attentive & efficient), & (4) Jon's DAILY PIE SPECIAL (the surprise is SO worth it). We intend to eat our way thru the menu #Goals

Rob M.

Yelp
Had the baked potato and a side topping of brisket. Potato had no fluffiness to it at all. Consistency and taste like it was cooked the day before and put in the refrigerator and then reheated. Brisket had globs of gooey fat in it too. Low quality food and don't know what their other dishes are like. We'll never go back to this place. Tea was excellent
google avatar

Veronica R.

Yelp
The breading of the fried pickles was perfect and would totally order them again next time. Chips and queso was good but wouldn't get it again. The burnt end's bbq sauce was delicious but I think it is a hit or miss when it comes to the meat. I would recommend the loaded Mac & cheese and sweet potato fries. The veggie burger is a great alternative for someone who wants to go with you but doesn't eat meat. Loved that they had their tea already sweetened. The service was excellent since the second we came in. Very good ambiance to go watch sports or in need of a drink while eating.

Yelp
Good burgers and onion rings. Clearly a college hangout. Lots of TVs to watch the games.

It was alright is basically what I would say if you asked me how I felt about it. First off they have a large list of beers on tap to choose from. I did not count exactly, but it is around 30 or so. So if you like choices on beer this place has it. For the appetizer we had the burnt ends. Some were very tough, and some melted like butter. What threw my wife and I off the most was the sauce. We did not dig it. It has some flavor I could not put my finger on. It was not a deal breaker, but not our favorite. For entress my wife got a cheeseburger and fries and I got the BBQ plate. My wife did not like the burger at all. The cheese was not even melted. It was like at the last minute someone threw 2 slices on it before it went out. For my plate I chose brisket, pulled pork, onion rings, and Mac n cheese. The brisket and pulled pork were very good. Both tender as you would expect. Sadly I got the same BBQ sauce that I just do not dig. The Mac n cheese had a pimento cheese type flavor to them. I cannot stand pimento cheese so I don't need to say more. Onion rings were decent. If you are a die hard BBQ lover I don't think your going to be satisfied with it here. I would say in my opinion it is upscale bar food. I had 2 beers, and my wife 1 margarita. After the tip it came out to around 100 bucks. No big deal we usually spend around that much on the weekends when we have lunch. I told my wife we could have easily had the same meal somewhere similar for around 30 or 40 bucks. At the end of the day I don't see us returning. The ambiance of the place is good. Nothing real bad or good to say either way. It was just average in our opinion.

Yelp
Looked on Yelp for good lunch place after a trip to the zoo. Jon's is located close to TCU and has a nice bar and big dining area. Matt greeted us, explained the history of the place and the local origin of most of their food offerings. We started with elote fritters which were delicious! 3 of us had burgers and my son had the mushroom veggie burger. All were very good. The service was excellent and recommend stopping for a burger!

Yelp
Food & service were top notch!! Ashley was the best. Burgers are so filling that we could have done without the fries.......but they were too good not to eat

Yelp
Finally got around to trying Jon's and it did not disappoint. It lived up to the hype for sure with amazing burgers and more! We went after my sister's graduation and though it was busy, the food was worth the wait! Such a great location and set up with the open concept. Everything we ordered was amazing and our server matt went above and beyond to make our experience great! The shakes, burgers, fries, bbq, and Mac n cheese were all top notch and flavorful! Will 100% be back

Yelp
TLDR: Excellent late night spot for students, quality food that won't hurt a college budget, and great place to take parents to impress! TCU student here! I absolutely HAD to try Jon's Grille after smelling it every morning/afternoon/evening walking to and from classes. It makes the mouth water every time. Have come here three times in total now-- once during Family Weekend (highly recommend, they impressed the 'rents with food and service, and since they're so new I felt like I was sharing a hidden gem with my folks!). The other times were later at night (excellent choice being open until later with the college crowd around), just getting takeout mostly. Always met with excellent service, definitely know their audience and how to talk to us college kids. The food is delicious. I'm particularly a fan of the sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and burger! I love knowing that it is sourced from Texas and that the beef is quality; you can really taste the difference! I also really like how you can customize your order to what you're looking for-- the brisket is a tasty way to hit my daily protein goals, and I can order it a-la-carte and even specify whether I want fatty or lean. Great service, great food, great everything. I'm looking forward to being a regular at this place for sure!
