"A Dallas-based coffee shop opened an outpost offering lavender, strawberry, and French toast lattes; strawberry, mango passionfruit, green tea mango and hibiscus iced tea coolers; and an array of toasts topped with avocado, burrata, and fruit. The cafe is known for its white, bright spaces that are friendly to laptop warriors with free WiFi, and for starting the La La Land Foundation, which offers cafe internships to people transitioning out of the foster care system." - Courtney E. "Basically a walk-up coffee shop with a few outdoor tables, Jo’s Coffee is a great place to recharge for a bit with an espresso or an Iced Turbo (a creamy, chocolaty, hazelnut cold brew). The food’s about what you’d expect out of a street facing grab-and-go coffee window—pre-packaged sandwiches, tacos, and salads—but that’s not why you’re here. You’re here to relax on the small covered patio, take in some caffeine, and to watch the long line of people waiting to take a photo in front of the “I love you so much” wall. Then, maybe get in line yourself. " - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion
"South By San Jose is a big parking lot block party hosted by Jo’s and neighboring Hotel San Jose, and it’s one of our favorite places to be on South Congress from March 13-17. Expect to hear live music and find local vendors selling arts and crafts. The party starts at noon and is free to attend. And it’s also the perfect opportunity to take a selfie in front of the “I love you so much” sign with the other 100 people in line waiting to do the same thing. When: March 13-17 " - nicolai mccrary
"The home of the iconic “I love you so much” mural (sprayed by musician Amy Cook for then-girlfriend Liz Lambert, who founded the coffee shop), Jo’s on South Congress also provides numerous options for a caffeine buzz (the iced Turbo is a good summer antidote), breakfast tacos, and other snacks. It’s now run by the same group behind nearby stylish hotels Austin Motel and Hotel San Jose. There are several other locations too. There are typically outdoor dine-in areas." - Erin Russell
"At the South Congress location, Jo’s Coffee held its annual chili cook-off on Sunday, Feb. 4, where $25 wrist bands allow tasting of all chilis and proceeds benefit Austin meal support collective Free Lunch; the event also included a fire competition, a raffle, and live music, and staffers are petitioning the business to raise its minimum wage threshold." - Nadia Chaudhury
