Best Margaritas in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"For some of the most interesting margaritas in town, head to Jose. Start with the restaurant’s signature Squozen margarita, a classic frozen marg that you can (and should) top with a Grand Marnier floater. Other options include the La Clara Margarita (clarified lime juice, Casa Noble Blanco, Cointreau, and agave syrup), the Usual (classic marg on the rocks), and the Unusual (Koch Espadin Mezcal, grapefruit juice, and Topo Chico). Choose one to enjoy on the newly renovated covered patio or at the bar inside this white, light-filled restaurant." - Courtney E. Smith

Best Tacos in Dallas and Fort Worth | Eater Dallas

"Try something from the ever-changing Tacos de Tacha menu at Jose, which is named after chef Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman. It features seasonal, fresh, and creative fillings in a street taco corn tortilla. The menu here has a lot beyond tacos to explore, as well — but the classic taco goes might well with a marg. It offers Baja tacos and tacos al carbon on its happy hour menu, and various taco platters are available during the weekend brunch. Inside, this spot is modern and bright, with a killer covered patio." - Courtney E. Smith

Best Mexican Restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth | Eater Dallas

"Chef Anastacia Quinoñes brings her version of Jalisco culture to this West Dallas restaurant. The seafood-heavy menu features seasonal crudo, ceviche, and a Mexican shrimp cocktail as appetizers. Her tacos de Tacha made the cut for Netflix’s Taco Chronicles, and anything on the menu that includes the handmade masa is a must-try. This sprawling space features a palette of cool creams, whites, and a baby blue that come together to create a soothing atmosphere. It’s excellent for big groups, serves a delicious brunch, and has a covered patio that will make you forget you’re in Dallas." - Courtney E. Smith

The 38 Best Restaurants in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"There are few dining experiences in Dallas as beautiful as the one at Jose. The unique facade, the indoor-outdoor patio, and the light in the dining room, paired with a rich color palette and traditional Mexican decor, all catch the eye, but the menu somehow still rivals the setting. Featuring Jalisco-style cuisine, Jose offers an array of tacos, including the tacos de tacha on heirloom masa featured on Netflix’s Taco Chronicles, and the Baja-style mahi-mahi tacos and lion’s mane tinga, which are equally worth seeking out. Seafood dishes and enchiladas are also stars, along with its amply inventive cocktail menu. Must-try dish: For brunch, order the ancient grains bowl, which starts as a simple mix of farro, quinoa, a soft poached egg, arugula, and avocado. Things get interesting with the addition of garbanzo beans and the excellent tomatillo vinaigrette. Add on shrimp or chicken for an extra protein boost." - Courtney E. Smith

José - Review - Bluffview - Dallas - The Infatuation

"There’s nothing like a welcoming patio and an ice-cold margarita in humid Dallas weather, and at José you get that with incredible Mexican food and a lot of Texan heart. (But to be clear—this ain’t Tex-Mex.) The design is modern and the food traditional, down to how the heirloom corn tortillas are made and nixtamalized in-house, and everything is intense in the best way. The pozole verde, with hominy, tomatillos, and serrano peppers, is a Sunday-at-home beauty—and spicy enough to clear the cobwebs from the mind—while the ceviches are lip-smackingly sour. And no order should go without the shrimp cocktail, piled with hunks of tomato, avocado, cilantro, and serrano peppers, and served with plenty of Saladitas." - Nick Rallo
