Where to Drink Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon in the Twin Cities | Eater

"This elegant restaurant is just a half-mile stroll from one of its sister restaurants, Macanda. But while — like Macanda — it provides an airy atmosphere and top-notch cocktails ( like the Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon) for the fine people of Wayzata, it also serves up wood-fired pizza and an array of pasta dishes. Josefina stands out among Italian restaurants for its abundance of gluten-free options; not only can the pizzas be made without gluten, so can most of the pastas." - Cecilia Johnson

Where to Eat Around Lake Minnetonka - Eater Twin Cities

"Bellecour is a French bistro helmed by James Beard award-winning chef Gavin Kaysen.  The menu focuses on exquisitely rendered classics like duck l’orange, escargot, and steak frites.  Popular brunch entrees include a croque madame and burger topped with Gruyere and black truffle sauce.  In the mood for something more casual? The adjacent bakery sells sandwiches to go, as well as pastries, macarons, and crepe cake by the slice." - Stacy Brooks

Where to find the best french fries in Minneapolis and Saint Paul - Eater Twin Cities

"City-bound fry fiends will find a pilgrimage out to Wayzata completely worth it for these frites served with fried herbs and a judicious amount of salt. Try them on their own or with a steak. Pro tip: soak the fries in the steak jus for a few minutes before eating; nature’s ketchup." - Joy Summers

This is one of our favorite spots. Have not had a single meal that we did enjoy. Love the pork chop myself and my wife always gets the pasta. Beet salad is amazing! Always get great service here. There is valet parking out front and a large parking ramp in the back

We came here for a birthday dinner and the experience was really up and down. Drinks were great — especially the Jose’s Margarita — but all of the appetizers were disappointing. The shrimp was overcooked with little flavor, the beef tartare had almost no seasoning and a very strong raw taste, and the other starters were just average at best. Thankfully, the entrées were much better. The lobster fusilli, seafood ravioli, spaghetti, pork chop, and beef were all cooked well and tasted great. Service, however, was not good. It was hard to find staff when we needed anything, and the attitude felt inattentive and unfriendly. Overall, decent main dishes but I would only come back for the entrées.

Google
I was so impressed with the food and service! My friend and I had a lovely time. I don’t recall the name of our waitress but the receipt said AJ K. She was phenomenal - she was so positive, friendly and guided us on all our choices perfectly. She made a fun friend outing especially fun and special. 😍

Google
Paid a first time visit this evening with a reservation. The food was exceptional, especially the “Agnolotti” duck confit pasta and the Banana bread dessert with olive oil gelato! Only disappointments were the roasted duck, it was a pretty small portion given the price ($38). It was tasty, but given the smaller portion and reasonably sized chunk of fat on one of the pieces my other guest was left still hungry. The first round of drinks that we got one of them was quite weak and full of ice (Could’ve just been subject to whoever poured them at the bar) because the second round was awesome! Decor was very inviting and the service was exceptional. Very attentive, but not to the extent that it disrupts your conversation or time. Will definitely come back, but be more selective on the drink menu most likely! being that I work from home and live in the area, I will probably come back to try the coffee and pastries in the morning as well

Google
We had the best time!! We were celebrating our birthdays and having a girls night out. Our server was so attentive and helpful with deciding what to eat. There were too many good options. Haha The brussel sprouts were the best I’ve had! My daughter loved the focaccia. And the gelato was better than I’ve had in Italy! We had the chocolate and the sea salt caramel. I cannot wait to go back!

Google
Fantastic atmosphere and very fun inside with all the plants and the stone fired oven for pizza. However, the service we experienced was not very good. Whole prawns to start were excellent and banana bread with olive oil ice cream was delicious. We split entrees for my fiancee's birthday of the bucatini and the salmon. The pasta came out split into two different bowls and was excellent. However, the salmon did not come out and when we were brought the dessert menu we asked about the salmon. We were the lectured about if we were to order the salmon we would have been asked what level of doneness we would prefer. It should have been an apology and thats it. We also had our bottle of wine taken with some still left, a small gripe but added to the frustration. Overall good food and a nice atmosphere but service could have been improved.

Matt

Google
Intriguing that the pasta prices don’t match the value of the pizza or mains. That being said, get the pasta, go bold. Service is intentional yet casual and the multifaceted space still hangs on to the Blue Point lakeside vibes. The very best thing they offer is the gelato, don’t leave without trying some. Worth going out of you way for - highly recommended.

Google
Tried the Finas Cafe, I ordered a regular mocha and it did not disappoint. I also tried the banana bread latte which was very good and didn’t taste like fake banana like some other coffee places. The service was efficient and it was easy to find a table to sit down at, it wasn’t too busy when I went. Relatively quiet and good atmosphere with lake views.

Yelp
I've heard a lot about this place for awhile and I finally was able to make my way over and try it! First, as you park and descend into the city of Wayzata and overlook the lake the vibe starts to set in. It's beautiful. Once you enter, the vibe is modern and vibrant. It's louder than I expected, but I like that. The food was delicious. We ordered the pork chop and the cavatelli. The pork chop was smoked and seared perfectly. It wasn't overcooked, and it was juicy through and through. The pasta was fantastic, al dente, toothy to the bite. The cocktails were especially good. Don't skimp.

Yelp
I was very, very excited to try this hot spot in Wayzata and left a little disappointed. The drinks were great (I had a mocktail and he had a nice white wine). Our entrees were something left to be desired. My scallops had sand in them. I thought a small fluke at first and was hoping with each bite for it to be better but it wasn't (probably should have returned, I'm so Minnesotan)... His pasta, 4-5 small pieces of lobster - the taste was amazing but for the price; more lobster would be preferred. To be fair, their focaccia bread was something straight from the heavens! I have not been able to stop thinking about it. The staff were really friendly and I absolutely loved the interior but left feeling underwhelmed with the food.

Yelp
Servers: excellent. They know their stuff. They aren't annoyed when you ask them for recommendations. They served our large party of 12 without a hitch. Ambiance: inside - lovely and posh. outside - they created a four seasons porch - no view but they made it cute. Food: are. you. kidding. me. eating the brussel sprouts changed my life. they are so excellent. i don't even know the magic they put in these but how can that be a vegetable. amazing. foccacia - you need to try this. it's a smalllll portion (4 slices) like most of their items and that is sad -- but we just kept ordering more. problem solved. drinks: how fun are these. they have everything. i loved the non-alcoholic passionfruit. it was delicious. the guys enjoyed their drinks and lemonades. main courses: expensive but delicious. our group tried the salmon, the porkchop, pasta. everything was great. other courses: the pizza is EXCELLENT! a few of the guys ordered the beet salad and liked that a lot too. 100% would go back again. thank you Josefina!!

Yelp
With a modern chic and welcoming vibe, Josefina was bustling on a Monday evening. Our group of 4 ladies were seated in the bar and had a pleasant bartender at our service for the evening - he was helpful and quite attentive. We enjoyed a couple of apps - the roasted Brussels sprouts were great! And completed our evening enjoying a mushroom pizza as well as the spicy sausage pizzas - both excellent with our glasses of wine! We very much enjoyed the dinner - only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that prices seem to skew high, yet this may just be due to the area.

Yelp
Delicious food and lovely restaurant. I had fusilli Neri with lobster and it was amazing. The bread, Brussels sprouts, mussels, and burrata fig appetizer were also wonderful. Great service too.

Yelp
Dined at Josefina for dinner and ordered pizza and pasta. While they were enjoyable, they did not 'hook' me to craving the dishes at that price point. Will update with photos soon. The gelato is what I keep coming back for! In the summertime, you can order through a cute window from the sidewalk! Staff are all friendly and the interior is beautiful!

Yelp
Love this place!! Came here to celebrate a birthday and try some new things. We made a reservation a few days in advance - would recommend as while you can walk in they're usually pretty busy. We got the focaccia to start which is our favorite. Salty, savory and just delicious. I tried the new brown butter ravioli (called mezzaluna or something like that). Big big fan - it was sweet, salty, citrusy... great flavor profile all around. I hadn't tried this before but would absolutely order again! Great winter dish that wasn't too heavy. Also got the pepperoni pizza which was great. Their pizzas are thin, but soft and flexible crust. If you want a cracker or crispy crust this isn't the place for you. Highly recommend this spot for any Italian cravings!

Yelp
Love Josefina! Very accommodating, we had some cancellations and they were able to get us a smaller table for myself and my husband. Super friendly and helpful staff and server. Food came out fast and was delicious. We started off with drinks and totally recommend the Josefina martini. 2 drinks for price of 1, yes please! You get a little tray with olives, lemon rind and a bottle with olive juice to make it as dirty as you want. For apps we got the burrata and chicken liver pate, good as expected, bluefin tuna and we ordered 3 different pastas to try: Spaghetti carbonara- fresh pasta was so good with classic flavors of what a carbonara should have. Malfaldini cacio de Pepe - my husband's fave of the night. I haven't had a cacio de Pepe with these types of noodle before but it was perfect amount of cheese and pepper Fusilli Negra- my fave dish of the night, squid ink rotini like pasta in a light tomato sauce and tender chunks of lobster. Do I need to say more?? Delish For dessert we for pistachio gelato and apple blueberry galette with vanilla bean gelato. Oh so good!

Yelp
My husband and I decided to check out Josefina for our anniversary and wow, we loved every bite! We got there just as the doors opened at 5. We walked in and were impressed with the ambiance and decor - modern and romantic! The service was outstanding! The waiter helped us decide what to order and it was amazing food. We started with meatballs that were outstanding. I ordered the zucchini lasagna and it was so good. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was seriously the best pork chop ever made: I'm not even a pork chop fan and would absolutely order this again! When they heard it was our anniversary - they gave us a free dessert!!! Such a nice way to end a beautiful evening. We can't wait to go back!!!

Yelp
Have been wanting to go to Josefina's forever and it didn't disappoint!! Went there on a Saturday night and we were seated at the pizza oven which was kind of fun to see all the pizzas being cooked! All the food was SO GOOD. Pricey (but we knew that going in) but everything we ordered from the food to the drinks were amazing! There was nothing we wished we hadn't ordered. The pasta was insanely good and each dish was cooked perfectly and the flavors were on point! Service was good and inside was a fun ambiance filled with chatter but not too loud to have a conversation at the table. Definitely already planning another trip back soon!

Yelp
Yes, Yes, Yes is the answer to your question of should you go eat here. Yum! The interior was gorgeous and we had an amazing server who helped us determine what to order and was so gracious and helpful. Pretty sure every item on the menu is amazing. Everything we ate and drank was fabulous. Go and make your reservation now.

Yelp
Great service! We went on Valentine's Day and service was still very quick and the ambiance/vibe was great. Everything was delicious - I got the rigatoni and the Josefina martini (which has two servings, even the "small" one for $18). The burrata was great too!
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely ambiance and delicious food! Josefina's space is romantic, cozy & sophisticated- perfect for a date night or special occasion. The gemelli pasta was rich, savory and flavorful. I also ordered a seasonal strawberry cocktail, which I can't recall the name for, it was bright & tasty. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We look forward to coming back for a date night!

Yelp
First time at Josefina after it being very widely hyped up. The Brussel sprouts were to die for! I've never had sprouts like this before, sweet and sour like. We had the Cacio e Pepe and pizza. Loved the service and ambiance. Lesser version of Red Rabbit. Price was solid. Valet was nice to have although they took my $20 and didn't give any change.

Yelp
I have always wanted to dine here. I asked my lifelong friend to meet me here after I finished my day working at Gunderson's Jewelers nearby. We had a reservation and we were seated in the bar area. Service was very good. Out waiter was kind to understand we had a bunch of catching up to do. A co-worker of mine had suggested a few menu items to me before I left the store and that was helpful. We enjoyed the burrata that visually comes out looking more like cottage cheese instead of the "ball" look but the flavor was amazing on the grilled bread. We then ordered the1/2 boneless chicken. I don't normally order chicken when I go out...but now I will. Great flavors as well with this entrée. Very satisfying is a word I would use to describe this dish. We both agreed that we look forward to returning and would like to try a pasta -the Mafaldini Cacio E Pepe. Thank you for a very relaxing night.

Yelp
Worst dining experience I've had in years... rock and hair in my food, horrible flavors, poor service, crumbly dry ice cream, vomit on the floor... We had a group of 6 on a slow Wednesday early evening. We were seated on the covered patio and while it was 55° outside, they had the heat set to 75. We asked them to turn it down and they turned it to 70 which was still too hot. Later we asked if they could try 65 and they instead turned the heat off completely (maybe out of spite? lol) which left us all shivering by the time our entrees arrived. The worst part was the food. I ordered the scallops and the second she put my plate down we noticed there was a hair on it. It was about an inch long fine dark brown hair and it was on the edge of the plate not on the food so I said "eh, well... I guess it wasn't touching anything... I'll just brush it off." She said nothing, probably to avoid the other girls noticing. The scallops were the worst I've ever had. They were so salty you couldn't taste the scallop at all, and the other flavors were far too overpowering. Spicy chili and smoked cumin, other heavy spices... scallops are so delicate, even without the salt-bomb the dish was bad. Plus, the customer photos I've seen of the scallops offered 5 scallops, I only received 4. THEN... there was a rock in my food. I bit down was horrified that I might have cracked a tooth, I attached a photo but there was a literal pebble in the scallop dish. I have never asked for my food to be comped and I still didn't this night but I expected that with both hair and rocks in my food they'd comp it. They did not. Instead they offered a free dessert. So I order pistachio gelato. I used to live in Italy and I miss gelato. This isn't gelato, it's ice cream. Gelato is silky, chewy/stretchy, not dry. The pistachio ice cream was cracking and crumbling (also attached a photo of that) because it was so over-churned. Thank god it was free... At the end of the disappointing meal I went to the women's restroom to wash up. One of the 2 stalls had a small puddle of vomit in front of the toilet. Not sure how long it was there but it was just the cherry on top of a horrible evening. Other than that, the pizzas were just average and the service was off. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks to be refilled and they'd bring only one at a time. Even when 3 of us had diet cokes and all asked to be refilled they'd come back 10 min later with one Diet Coke. I obviously won't be back.

Yelp
It was very aesthetic and fancy in the dining area. There was also a heated patio in winter that had string lights over it. We went on a Thursday night without a reservation and they had spots open on the patio and at the pizza bar. The server was very attentive and nice! The burrata appetizer was just ok, it didn't have much flavor and only came with 4 small pieces of bread. The pappardelle with oxtail was amazing and creamy! The lamb and mint pasta had a slight fishy aftertaste and probably wouldn't order it again. There was valet parking or busy street parking outside. Overall a fun place to go in Wayzata!

Yelp
We loved this place. The focaccia was the best thing we had. It's deceptively underwhelming to look at, but it's crispy on the outside, rich and soft in the center and goes well with the pasta sauce. Definitely order the pasta over the pizza. Arrancini was great too.

Maggie M.

Yelp
The food was fantastic and has gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the gluten free carbonara and was so enamored I cleaned my plate. The drink selection and desserts were delicious as well.

Yelp
Had a great experience here recently including delicious craft cocktails and wonderful pizza! They have so many dining options inside and out and it's great for a date night or group outing. We loved everything that we ordered and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Fun ambience, a little airy, beautiful plants and aesthetic. Wasn't super excited about being sat in the middle of the dining room at a table when so many booths were wide open but it ended up being ok. A lot of our food was delicious, unique and flavorful and then a couple of dishes just didn't hit the mark. I don't know that I would go out of my way to go back. Fun trying new things, but some dishes need a little extra oomph. Will probably try again soon to see if things are different!

Yelp
I've been to Josefina a handful of times, and I've never been disappointed! I recently went here with my book club. I wasn't involved in the reservation process, but I did hear they were flexible. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Gratuity was included in our bill since we were a larger group, but I didn't mind that. We had a nice table set up for us in the outdoor heated patio. It felt like summer in there! I'd definitely sit out there again. My top three recs are: *Focaccia: This is a MUST at Josefina. It is one of the best focaccia's I've ever had, and I'll even say the best in Minnesota. Buttery, flakey goodness. Once I had it with a whipped cheese and that was absolutely divine. *Cacio E Pepe: This is just pure comfort food right at your fork. It's cheesy and peppery, and the noodles are always cooked perfectly. *Any Cocktail: I love their cocktails! Every one I've tried has been delicious. Also the presentation of the cocktails has always been beautiful. Definitely worth trying! This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit!

Yelp
Our anniversary was on a Tuesday during a hot week in August, and Wayzata has top-tier restaurants to choose from. We decided on Josefina for Italian which we don't indulge in very often. It was easy to make an online reservation, during which it asked if there was a special occasion that was bringing us in, and yes I clicked on anniversary. The service was spectacular from the start. We arrived a little over an hour early, the hostess took our name and said they give a 15 minute grace to arrive for reservations so if there was a table open earlier she would let us know. We were able to have a cocktail at the bar while we waited and during that time the manager approached us to say an earlier table was unlikely, which we expected, but then pleasantly surprised when the hostess came shortly after that to say there was an open table. We typically prefer to sit outside but it was hot and humid and so we choose inside for our meal, so I was pleased to have been seated next to the window that overlooked the patio! Initially walking in I found it to be a very loud atmosphere, the restaurant was full and the tables were close to each other, and the high ceilings made for the conversations to carry across the room so there was a constant buzz of noise. This would have been my only downfall if we would have been seated in the main dining area, it may have been difficult to have a quieter conversation. We started with Arancini and Focaccia bread. The bread was truly delicious, the Arancini was unexpected deep fried mozzarella type balls. The sauce was excellent, hubby liked it more than I did as I just wasn't expecting deep fried. We then had East Coast oysters which were fantastic. Our main dishes were Fusilli Negra and Radiatore, I will admit that I had to google many of the menu items to see what they actually were, since the menu descriptions are short. The Fusilli Negra was very good, the pasta was cooked well and the lobster was large and plentiful. The pasta is black so if visually you like colorful dishes you may be surprised at this plate. The Radiatore was a WOW factor. This dish was incredibly good with the mint flavor and the lamb sauce, but maybe got a little bit too minty towards the end of the dish. We also shared Brussels sprouts as we typically enjoy these as a side. They were a bit too salty and lemony in comparison to other restaurants that we've had these at. Our server was engaging and enjoyable, he answered questions and explained the menu and allowed us to take our time with the food and with ordering so we didn't feel rushed at all which we appreciated. In the end we were too full for dessert but knowing that it was our anniversary he brought out two scoops of gelato and two glasses of champagne, what a sweet end of meal compliment! We were happy to have chosen Josefina.

Yelp
I had been craving good Italian food, and this definitely hit the spot. They have some really traditional stuff, but also some pretty unique takes on traditional Italian food. The cocktails and experience were also great!! Even got a limoncello shot at the end just like Italy We split everything between 2 people and it was really nice they served the pasta already split in 2 dishes. The squash on the burrata and the scallops was soo good. The Fiore cocktail was sweet and really floral which I loved!

Sarah Nicole D.

Yelp
We tend to be spontaneous vs making reservation weeks in advance so we love sitting at the Josefina bar. Same great food but more accessible on short notice and bartender Sarah is friendly and helpful, always makes us feel welcome. The seafood tower is a delicious way to try a few options, but we've never been disappointed by a seafood entree. The beet salad is full of flavor with fresh basil and potato chip pieces to give some salt and texture. Pizzas are also great, we love the salsiccia piccante. Finally, be sure to ask about the cocktail of the moment because we've tried 3-4 and each one was special and unexpected.

Yelp
Plants, pasta, pizza: the perfect spot to catch them all! Probably one of my favorite spots in Wayzata, this Italian restaurant is the perfect atmosphere for a formal dinner, grabbing a pizza with a coworker, or a cocktail with a friend! The space itself is very modern, with wood accents and live plants everywhere. One of the best features of this spot is the diversity in seating environments: dining room for our formal guests, a heated patio and pizza bar for casual guests, and a bar area for the rest! We were seated in the bar area, and thought it was great. Our server was attentive, timely, but not overbearing or absent! Cocktails and food are top notch! They serve all the classic cocktails, but also have a line of signature plays on those classics! I had the Montengra Old Fashioned, and thoroughly enjoyed the extra depth of these new additions. We always order family style and shared: Arancini, Burrata, Fusili, Ravioli, and a Fughi Pizza. The star for me was the butternut squash ravioli, which was just bursting with flavor in every bite! The Fusili are an intriguing photo op, but fell flat in having any nuanced or original flavor. Add an espresso martini and a scoop of heavenly gelato to finish it off, and the night was complete. Josefina is a great addition to the Wayzata food scene, and will continue to be high on my list of West Metro establishments to frequent!

Yelp
Lovely environment! I have been there for most of the special occasions in the family. Good spot for office gathering. Loved the ambiance! Pretty expensive but worth for the pure Italian flavours! Must try focaccia bread in the town!

Yelp
Review on takeout--outstanding experience, love that there's a quiet, separate area to wait. If you're considering getting a takeaway pizza, my advice is to just do it!!

Mike P.

Yelp
It's good food. The space is nice as well. I think for the price, I would opt for other Del Prado-involved restaurants, as the food is good but maybe doesn't match the price. It's still quite good, though.

Yelp
Yes please. The drinks, the food, the vibes - does it get any better than Josefina? Nope! We celebrated a friend's birthday at Josefina and had an amazing time! Kicked off right away with drinks - one of the bartenders brought bubbly over and realized I was pregnant, and promptly went back and made me the most DELICIOUS n/a drink complete with beautiful flower ice ball! It was amazing. I will say, they do change their menu seasonally, so some of the dishes we had in their exact form might not be on the current menu. But rest assured, the flavors and atmosphere are always amazing. We kicked off dinner with a few starters, the burrata with toasted bread, focaccia bread and Brussel sprouts. Truthfully, I could have just eaten that for dinner and be so so so happy. I'm a huge fan of any type of burrata dish, and spreading that soft cheese on the toasty bread was a match made in heaven! The crispy Brussel sprouts were also amazing (pine nut gremolata, garlic agrodolce, mint) - exactly what you want in a Brussel sprouts dish. Now, for dinner, we got a LOT of different dishes. There were about 12 of us, so we had everything from the pappardelle with oxtail, the mafaldini cacio e Pepe (a favorite), the fusili negra (lobster, tomato, mint) which is incredible, and then a pappardelle with prawns which, for me, a seafood lover, was delish. We also tried a few pizzas, and the arugula one was fantastic. Okay in all honestly, it was all fantastic. We finished off our dinner with a smattering of gelatos - perfect sweet way to end the night. They have a rotating seasonal gelato flavor as well as some main staples, like pistachio and chocolate, and all are incredible! Highly recommend for any occasion, whether just a drink and snacks with friends or anniversary celebration. You will not regret it!

Yelp
I have been here. Few times now and can feel comfortable to rate the restaurant as excellent - for ambiance, mostly delicious food and great service. Last night we had the half chicken, pappardelle with oxtail, wood fired beets and halibut ceviche with 2 glasses of vino and a chocolate budino for dessert. Everything was so delicious except for the ceviche. It was so fishy! We loved the chicken and the pasta. The chicken was served with hot sauce and salmogrio sauce. Now that sauce made the dish extraordinary. Previously, we've had the pizza! So good. I always go for Margherita. The fungi is also a favorite but it was too salty here. All in all, a favorite restaurant with beautiful greenery from Tonkadale nursery. Always a pleasure to visit. Of course it's pricier. So this is an occasional spot to visit.

Yelp
Since we dine here a couple times a year I felt it important to come back and update my review. This is the third time I've reviewed Josefina. The menu seems to undergo small changes every so often and yet they keep some of the favorites on the menu such as the Rigatoni Diavolo, Fussily Negra, and a slightly changing Ravioli (now they are calling it Mezzaluna) course. I fell in love with their Ravioli dish years ago and have yet to find them match the original experience that had small golden raisins and nuts over perfectly cooked pasta. The most recent dish was a somewhat off-putting pink in color with a nice sized portion but nowhere near what it could be. I keep hoping they will add something new that catches my interest but, for good or bad, we both seem to stick to the same old. We do still love the Focaccia, beats, and their wine menu seems to be maturing as you can find good non-Italian selections. The markup is still pretty heafty and they still don't chill most of their reds properly (even their $100+ price point bottles) so we find ourselves bringing our own. I called them out last time for not having a Pinot on the list and this time they had two (new and old world). The back patio doesn't have quite the same atmosphere though it is a bit quieter. You might feel slightly cold to slightly hot as the heater comes on and off but to us it's worth being able to hear ourselves think which is near impossible in the main dining area. They could dim the lights a bit so it feels a bit more intimate.

Yelp
Can't get enough of this place! The food and service is amazing. Came here to celebrate some birthdays and the server brought us out cannolis for the table which was such a special touch. Always recommending this place to all my friends and family.

Yelp
So pretty. Great service but I thought the menu wasn't anything special. Plus super hard to get a reservation so though we want to go back to give it another go we can get in:

Yelp
I thought it was fabulous. Good drinks good service good food good atmosphere overall wonderful. Fresh and new. Very trendy. Great mix of soft woods and plants everywhere. Instagram worthy cocktails. The Caesar was delicious and the pizza is to die for. Went on a Tuesday prob didn't need a reservation but for a weekend reservation book ahead of time.

Yelp
Excellent food, drinks and atmosphere. Loved the modern decor with Plants all over, and the menu all looked incredible!! I got the olive and mozzarella app, the rigatoni pasta with the peppers on the side and we shared a prosciutto pizza for our table of 4 as an app! It was all so delicious. I would highly recommend getting the peppers on the side for the rigatoni pasta if you only like mild spice. My husband got the Pepe pasta and it was my favorite by far. Can't wait to come back!! The Fiore drink is so good but definitely has a strong lavander flavor.

Yelp
The atmosphere, the open concept kitchen, gelato on site and delectable dishes and Artisanal cocktails are just a few of my favorite things at Josefina. Made a reservation for a Saturday night dinner to celebrate my birthday with dear friends and was pleasantly surprised that valet parking was available. The restaurant was packed and lively like a hometown bar feel but the food was elevated and the cocktails were to. The cocktail that stole my heart was the Fiore. It's a wine based cocktail and a single sphere with a fresh rose inside that blooms as it melts. So light and tasty that you might as well order two! The Crudo-bigeye Tuna is also a must try! Light, crisps and full of flavor. Lastly.. the pappardelle with oxtail and bone marrow, need I say more!

Yelp
We tried Josefina for the first time per a tiktok recommendation. It was AMAZING. First- it is stunning inside the restaurant. Second- our server, Sarah was amazing. Great service and she had a great personality. The food was divine. We had the focaccia with the butter- SOOOO good. We had pizzas, and ended with gelato- recommend half coconut, half chocolate. Will be returning for sure!

Yelp
This was wonderful. We came with a group of 7 celebrating 5 birthdays. We ordered a few drinks. Waiter offered us focaccia not realizing it was not complimentary. But it was delish so we were not that upset about it. The garlicky and saltiness was . He gave us complimentary desserts which were little cannolis. Also a nice treat. Waiter was super nice and worked with us as one of us was late from her hospital job, God bless our nurses! Ambiance was very relaxed not rushing us out. Just a little loud because we were seated right by the kitchen.

Yelp
Restaurant has a clean, modern ambience. It's busy and a little noisy. Service is fairly good but on a busy evening may not check in often enough. Food quality is great, but could benefit from more balanced meals and presentation.

Yelp
The burrata appetizer was our favorite! Check out my pic I posted of it. The BARRAMUNDI appetizer was like a sashimi fish dish and had great flavors but was small. My entree RADIATORE with lamb was decent and the mint seasoning/garnish was a great twist. My husband thought his PAPPARDELLE was decent as well. Make reservations for the main dining area a month in advance since this place is still pretty popular. This is a nice addition to the downtown Wayzata dining scene.

Yelp
AH-MAZING. All of it. We enjoyed a pizza which rivals a lot of places in msp for us now - margarita was fantastic as our appetizers. Focaccia bread is homemade and quite possibly the best bread I've ever had. Pappardelle oxtail pasta is full of everything and more flavor wise. The fusilli lobster pasta is the exact opposite flavors as the above but mind blowing good. This place just gets Italian and is fresh and made with so much love. We totally splurged and indulged at our visit and can't wait to visit more. Only thing we would do is skip the espresso martinis next time - nothing to rave about. Just vodka and coffee which we can make better at home. Such a cute space with a lively and polite staff. Thanks for having us!

Yelp
Definitely worth the drive. Amazing Italian food. Awesome old fashioned. Love their fresh oysters. And their amazing Brussel sprouts, I am still trying to make it at home. Inside is beautiful. I love all the plants everywhere. Great staff, too. Will come back.

Yelp
The wait staff is great. There was a 4.96 percent added to the bill for employees which is super annoying. We ordered the scallop Crudo which was very tasty. The burrata was also delish with heirloom tomatoes in various colors. I had the eggplant parmigiana which was nice but not super flavorful. My daughter had the scallop meal which she really enjoyed. My husband had the chicken and said it was delicious. My husband loved his old fashioned. My daughter thought the Cosmo was spot on.

Yelp
Dined on NYE and it was full but well organized. We started with drinks at the bar and their Manhattan and Old Fashioned's are fantastic. Watch out for their wine prices as we only saw two bottles of red under $100. The focaccia bread was the best deal and tasted amazing! We also had the prawns with Burrata cheese to start and they were great. We each ordered a different pasta to share bites and none of us were disappointed. The butternut squash was killer, not too sweet. Don't expect big chunks of lamb as the meat is pretty subtle. We were in the bar area and served by a bartender but he did a great job of getting to our table regularly. We'll definitely be back, maybe sit at the pizza bar next time for a lower-cost option.

Yelp
Reservations is needed and it books fast. I don't think you can walk up for dine in... it's so packed. Nestled in a cute area in Wayzata, this place is a charm! I love the minimal but elevated feel. Their menu is the perfect size, straight forward and everything sounded up my alley. It was hard to choose. The major stand out are the freshly made pasta, wood fire oven for their pizza and stunning delicious drinks. Everything we got was spectacular. It's a must for date night, girls night out or if your craving authentic Italian! The whole staff was great.
