Josefina’s Tamales

I have been passing by the tamale trailer in Tolar and finally stopped to pick up a mixed dozen - brisket and jalapeno bean. So glad I stopped - by far the best tamales I have ever had! I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors!

We love Josefina’s! The food is hot, fresh and authentic and always very good. The prices are really reasonable.

These are by far the best tasting tamales I have ever had! The brisket tamales are amazing and the beans are the best i have ever had. Met the owner and she is the nicest most wonderful lady! Drove all the way from Cleburne just to try her tamales! So worth it! Will definitely be going back! Can't wait to try her enchiladas! So glad we found this place.....so worth it!

We all love good, homemade tamales and Josefina's are consistently great!! We, especially, love the spicy pork...ummm good. I will add, the green salsa was pretty spicy but I added it to my rice, toned down the "hot" and gave a kick to plain white rice!! For a "to-go" only place, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the reception area and food prep. Also, all of the workers wore hairnets. In today's society, proper hygiene in food prep and delivery are very important. Bottom line, delicious tamales!!

Our youth group LOVED Josefina’s tamales, rice and beans….delicious!!!!! And, the red salsa is out of this world! Thanks for satisfying these hungry teenagers ❤️

These are absolutely the best tamales I've ever had in my life. We had a nice time chatting with the owner's husband at the Granbury Farmers market; she is from Mexico so the food is for real authentic. Perfect amount of salt and ratio of masa to meat. Doesn't crumble, perfect texture and size. No fatty meat bits. The pork was our favorite, chicken is super good too. And the *red* sauce. Get it. My 3 kids don't usually eat tamales, they think they are too mushy. They couldn't get enough of these. Wish I had gotten 2 dozen. Or 5.

We were only able to try one type of tamale, as you are supposed to preorder your tamales. We got lucky, as someone did not pick up their order (of pork tamales), and they were many hours late, and could not be reached by phone. So we were able to to buy them. All in all pretty good. The pork had a nice smoky quality, which we liked. We met Josefina and her husband (Tom), and enjoyed learning their story. It was a great test. I love to crack a running egg on top and have it for breakfast. The sauce was great also. Is in and easy out no wait time.

Amazing tamales, enchiladas, Charros and other authentic old school "abuela" authentic Mexican take out. Quality ingredients, reasonable prices and excellent customer service. So happy to have found Josefina's in Granbury. Definitely worth the drive from Glen Rose. Call ahead or order on Facebook Messenger.

The best tamales I have ever eaten. Josefina and Tom are the greatest people. they do so much for the community and serve awesome food, a win-win!!!! I highly recommend Josefina's for delicious food and great customer service.

Best tamales I have ever had. Love them all Brisket and Chicken & Bean are absolutely amazing and family favorites. Green sauce is so delicious.
