Where To Get A Takeout Container That Could Tear A Bicep

"This casual Jamaican spot has one of the best lunch deals in Downtown. For $15, you’ll shuffle down an assembly line and act as the creative director of your very own bowl. Pick a protein like jerk chicken with satisfying heat, curry chicken, pepper steak, shrimp, or oxtail. Then it's on to bases: rice and peas, jerk fried rice, jerk quinoa, or mixed greens. There are more toppings, but forgo anything that doesn’t sound that exciting and ask for an extra serving of pineapple plantains." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

The 13 Best Restaurants in Aventura and Sunny Isles | Eater Miami

"Quick counter service Jamaican cuisine found its place in Aventura when Jrk! debuted inside Aventura Mall’s Treats Food Hall. Build-your-own bowls are the star of the menu with bases like like rice and peas or jerk fried rice that are piled high with toppings like jerk chicken, pepper steak, cabbage slaw, and pineapple mango salsa. There are six varieties of sauces to choose from, along with beverages such as DG Pineapple Kola and Mexican Coca-Cola. The 305 Rum Cake, offered in chocolate or pineapple iterations, is not to be missed." - Eater Staff

Miami’s 12 Best Caribbean Restaurants | Eater Miami

"With locations in Downtown Miami and the Aventura Mall, Jrk serves chef Wayne Sharpe’s mod Caribbean cuisine. The food is fragrant, boasting a straightforward menu of Jamaican patties, crispy cassava sticks, and inventive vegan and meat-based bowls of jerk, oxtail, Jamrock pepper steak, and Blue Mountain curry. Sides of jerk mac and cheese and crispy cassava yucca sticks offer extra layers of flavor, and the pineapple or chocolate cake (rum-laced, of course) makes for the perfect sweet ending." - Juliana Accioly

Jrk! - Review - Aventura - Miami - The Infatuation

"Jrk! is everything Chipotle (which is actually just 100 yards away) wishes it was. This isn’t your typical tasteless food court chicken. The Treats Food Hall vendor is making good Jamaican jerk chicken. It’s smokey, spicy, and a little sweet. You can have it in a signature bowl, like the classic jerk with rice and peas, cabbage slaw, and pineapple plantains. Or you can build your own. We never expected to find such a good Jamaican spot inside the Aventura mall, but the oxtail, pepper steak, jerk chicken, and patties here almost make the parking lot traffic worth it." - Virginia Otazo

Miami’s 13 Essential Food Hall Dishes - Eater Miami

"Jamaican-born chef Wayne Sharpe adds extra flare and aroma to this sweet-and-spicy bowl with a special house blend. The shrimp carries enough heat and depth for a full-body experience, and the accompaniments of rice and peas, pineapple mango salsa, and plantains bathed in a pineapple-cinnamon sauce round out the island flavors." - Juliana Accioly

Google
Oh my gosh!!! 5/10/25 The jerk chicken is amazingly delicious here($16.99), beef patty($4)delicious as well. I wish they weren’t 2hrs away. I’m not driving, traffic is crazy but when my son does, he’s def bringing me a plate of jerk chicken. Guys if you love Jamaican food, please give it a try. And the customer service is also very good. Word of encouragement: Let’s repent pray and seek Christ our God and Creator above all. God bless🤍 Edited: 5/11/2025 my son brought me a plate and it wasn’t as good as the previous day. I’m so disappointed. How can it be different!? It is!! And barely any chicken portion size isn’t giving. I don’t know if it’s a different chef but this wasn’t jerk chicken wasn’t Jamaican jerk chicken maybe American lol, it had the spice the seasoning but NOT the crispness the juiciness. I think they baked it. It just wasn’t the same tastiness as before:( also I found a small hair on rice. Guys still try it- Maybe when you go you’ll get the crispy tasty Jamaican jerk chicken done the Jamaican way… not the bake chicken I got. Be bless.

Google
Love the way they modernize Jamaican food! The jerk fried rice was so delicious and I really appreciated some additional veggie sides aside from the typical cabbage and plantain. The men working there were really friendly and even let me test out the jerk rice because I was afraid it was too spicy for me, but it was delicious! I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area even if I’m not in the mall. The jerk chicken looked real juicy too. I’ll have to try that next time.

Google
First let me start by saying. The oxtails were amazing. But...... The price is insane. This is a food court. I received 4 oxtail bones and white rice. I was shocked when I saw the price. Never again. 30 Dollars. Wow 😳

Google
Wow, what a spread. As you arrive, you are welcomed by the sweet Reggae chunes and the great smell. Then the choices were plentiful. More than I expected for a mall based location. I went with the bbq chicken. Delicious!!! Thanks to the staff for their great service.

Google
One of the best most flavorful Jamaican cuisines we have ever had. The spices ,flavors ,and taste were on point every time in so much we went three days in a row! Located in the mall makes the trip so worthwhile. Back home. I have not tasted any Jamaican cuisine as flavorful as this. The pineapple plantains were amazing with the perfect amount of sweetness of the pineapple glaze. I really couldn’t tell you which one was my favorite but just know you’re spending your money WELL. The jerk fried rice was a hit. And of course, the oxtails were perfection. You can add up to three toppings on your bowl to customize for the perfect flavor combo . Not sure how long they’ve been located here, but it is clean and the atmosphere with the music just gives a whole vibe. Customer service was always very friendly and patient and greets everyone ,if you’re in this area and you want good food highly recommend

Google
Great food! Healthy and delicious. Hole menu: Chicken curry, rice with beans, plantains, broccoli and mangosalad and a drink for about 18 incl tax. Fast and worth it!

Google
My daughter and I visited this place for the first time and I must say that they can definitely do better especially with the prices. That was my biggest problem. I had the jerk chicken with jerk fried rice and it comes with 2 sides. I got sweet plantains(2) and roasted corn which consisted of a scoop not even a teaspoon. (WTF) and when I asked the guy if I could have another scoop he said that would be extra 😒. Wow and I happily declined the extra scoop. When asked about the sauces she said that one comes with your meal. Well damn y'all wasn't going to tell me that. No one smiled. The guy acted as if he was lost in space and the cashier didn't even say have a great day. While the food wasn't bad the price is RIDICULOUS for the amount that you're getting. I won't be going back. Nowadays you can get Jamaican anywhere.

I ordered from Ubereats while visiting Ft. Lauderdale after a cruise. This is very good jerk flavor. Tender chicken. I enjoyed tge bowl for two meals.

Yelp
First time trying this place and I was shocked at how good it was. Not sure what I was expecting but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Will be coming back for sure.

Yelp
A single tear fell as I eat the last bite, my wife asked "what's wrong, is it too spicy" No, these are happy tears. I realized my whole life I've been deprived of excellent Jamaican cuisine until now. Simply put I finally found the Usain Bolt of Jamaican food, the gold medal pinnacle of what Jamaican food should be. We both ordered from jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains, cabbage, yuca, and broccoli, and two patties. I am thoroughly convinced that it will not have mattered but we ordered, the results would have been the same. After every bit we would look up and say "this is the best broccoli I've ever had, or is this the best cabbage I've ever had." So on through every element of the meal. My wife is Hispanic and was raised on yucca and plantain but it did not matter, this surpassed any experience that she's had with those foods before. The plantain had a sweetness to it that we think might have been cinnamon? Doesn't matter it was magical. The panties were different than any Jamaican Patty that I've had, starting at the crust, it was light and flaky and soft, bursting with flavor. In my excitement, I told my wife she has to try this curry chicken patty, it turned out to be a mistake as she promptly stole the rest of my patty! I live about 40 minutes away and I'll be returning to aventura, not to shop, but to eat! 5 stars

Yelp
If Bolay went to Jamaica and had a love child, it would be Jrk. Located in the Treat's Food Hall at Aventura Mall, Jrk offers a mixture of island cuisine in a bowl. It was pretty busy and noisy in the mall on a Saturday afternoon, but the line was moving steadily. All bowls include one base, one protein, three toppings, and a sauce. There's also patties, rum cakes, jerk mac & cheese, and cold beverages. Prices are moderate. After looking at the choices quickly, I decided to fill my bowl with rice & peas (base), BBQ chicken (protein), pineapple plantains, pineapple-mango salsa, and yuca sticks (toppings), with vinaigrette dressing on the side (sauce). I took the food home cause Aventura Mall is not a place I like to hang out at. Now that I'm comfortable at home I can proceed to give my views on the food: * Rice & peas - was cooked to soft consistency. Was delicious with a sweet flavor like it was cooked with coconut milk * BBQ chicken - was yummy. Tender cuts of chicken covered in a sweet BBQ sauce * Yuca fries - I like yuca, but never had them like this. Lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I could definitely eat more of this * Pineapple-mango salsa - the pineapple/mango mixture was very sweet and didn't have that tangy taste I'm accustomed of, but it was ok * Pineapple plantains - I don't know how they got these plantains to have a sweet pineapple flavor but it was real damn good! I thoroughly enjoyed the food and can see myself eating at Jrk again. I would prefer to eat at a location more closer to me though. I'm not always in the mood to drive all the way down to Aventura.

Yelp
The best Jamaican food I've ever had in my life. First of all, I got there and they let me sample so many of the different items! I got the curry chicken and the jerk chicken and I also got some of the macaroni and cheese and my friend got the oxtails. I have no complaints and during my trip in Miami I visit this restaurant twice because it was so good.

Yelp
Amazon jerk chiken bowl, best in SoFlo. Staff are knowledgeable of their products and the taste is out of this world. Located at the Food Hall in Aventura Mall you can't beat their 3 Bs... Bueno, Bonito y Barato.

Yelp
I was at the mall last weekend and wanted food from the food court. I have seen Jrk! before on social media, so I thought I would try it. I opted for the jerk chicken, plain rice, and corn. All in all, I don't find this very special. The place serves you like Chipotle-style, where you pick your food. The taste was rather plain, in my opinion. Maybe because it is trying to accommodate the general population.

Yelp
This is my favorite jerk spot when I'm in Miami, my first stop before heading to the beach. Flew in from AZ recently and the food is still amazing. The service is always fast and the quality of the food is superb. Ambiance at the restaurant is great. I would definitely recommend trying Jrk! when you're in Miami.

Yelp
I'll preface this by stating that I love Jamaican food and I look for it in any city I visit. So I happened to stumble across Jrk while shopping in Aventura mall and I was pleasantly surprised I got a custom jerk chicken bowl and two jerk chicken patties. The food was delicious. I will warn you that the jerk has a kick to it so just be aware if you don't like your food too spicy. I got there right before they were closing and the staff was still very nice and helpful. I only wish that I got a chance to try the jerk Mac and cheese! Maybe next time.

Yelp
OMG! When I tell you this place is outstanding. We were actually going on a cruise, but decided to run to Aventura Mall real quick.‍ I checked the mall's app on the way to the mall to review my food options. Nothing jumped out at me so I had to walk around to actually look at the food. Needless to say, when I saw the food at Jrk...immediately YES. The food did not disappoint. We were all more than pleased. I'm catching a flight in January, I'll be back.

Yelp
Visiting from California I thought I would try Jrk! as a unique option. The Jerk chicken bowl was surprisingly FANTASTIC! The spices, chicken quality, and amount greatly exceeded my expectations, which is not easy to do. Spicy enough, but not too spicy or overbearing, and even though they said the jerk fried rice was a bit spicy, I didn't think it was too spicy. The pineapple plantains were also very good. Top it off with cabbage and mango salsa and it is hard to beat! The servers also exceeded my expectation, especially when they offered me a sample taste of the rice before ordering, for me to see how spicy it was, and the tall guy serving was so polite. I went back for a to go order of the exact same thing and was surprised to find out for five dollars more I could get extra chicken... and they poured it on! One SATISFIED California customer! Thank you, Jrk!

Yelp
If you are in the Aventura Mall and craving something different than your typical burger or chicken sandwich, check out Jrk! This a fast casual Jamaican spot that definitely does not disappoint. The setup is similar to Chipotle, as you start with your base, protein, toppings, and sauce. For my visit, I did a BYOB (build your own bowl) with my base as half rice and peas and salad, jerk chicken, cabbage slaw, pineapple plantains, and pineapple mango salsa. For my sauce I went with the rude boy - which it reminds me of the song from Rihanna. So the rice and peas were cooked perfectly and had a hint of coconut that made it so yummy with the jerk chicken. The chicken was spiced and seasoned very well, and the chicken was tender and soooooo juicy. The cabbage slaw is fresh with red cabbage and carrots and adds that perfect crunch. The salsa was my favorite as I love mango and pineapple, everything about it was fresh and delicious. The pineapple plantains were sweet which plantains are already slightly sweet. They were cooked and seared perfectly but a little too sweet for my liking. However, when you add the rude boy sauce which is a scotch bonnet sauce, it does balances the flavor profile. I love scotch bonnet sauce and if you love spicy and I do mean SPICY - give this one a go. This is a great gem for mall cuisine and now my go to spot. It's fresh, tasty, and great portions, you will not be disappointed if you stop here whenever you're in the Aventura Mall.

Yelp
I decided to take the brightline to Aventura Mall, which is always an enjoyable experience. After a few hours of shopping, I realized that I had worked up quite an appetite. That's when I remembered my favorite restaurant in the mall, JRK. Without hesitation, I made my way over to JRK, eager to indulge in some of their delicious cuisine. As I looked over the menu, my mouth started to water. I couldn't decide what to order because everything sounded so good. In the end, I went with my old favorite, the Jerk Fried Rice. The combination of spices and flavors in the Jerk Chicken was simply incredible and I savored each bite. The sides I got were plaintains, Yuca Sticks, and grilled veggies which were also amazing, and I couldn't help but wonder how the chefs managed to make such simple ingredients taste so good. Overall, my dining experience at JRK was a perfect 10/10, just like all my previous visits. I love the food here so much that I'm seriously considering asking for the recipe for the Jerk Fried Rice. My only complaint is that the restaurant is quite far from downtown. I wish there was a JRK closer to downtown, besides smorgasborg, so that I could enjoy their delicious food more often.

Yelp
The food it's great full of flavor ! Many options to choose from bbq jerk chicken which is so good ! And can't forget the amazing dessert they are featuring 305 Miami rum cake ! It's too good to pass up ! The pineapple rum cake ! It's yummy!

Yelp
One of our favorite places to eat at at the Aventura Mall food hall. The food is always fresh and delicious. We get the jerk chicken or bbq jerk chicken with two sides. Usually plantain and fried yuca and it's amazing My wife also loves their rum cakes and the Pattie's

Yelp
Simply good food! If you're craving Jamaican food and you're in/nearby the mall, it is worth trying - I doubt you will be disappointed.

Will C.

Yelp
The food was great! Set up like chipotle but with a Jamaican style. Had the jerk rice, jerk chicken, pineapple plaintains, and cabbage. Would go back there.
google avatar

Sabrina F.

Yelp
Delicious option in the Aventura Mall food court. I got the oxtail. It did not disappoint - the price point was right - it's oxtail after all even if it is "fast food". I would definitely be back. The rice and peas were great. Their portions are very reasonable. The staff were friendly and the location was exceptionally clean.
google avatar

Kaneil S.

Yelp
I stopped by JRK! while I was in Aventura for work. I wanted something quick after a long day at work and walked over to the mall. At JRK! You choose your rice sides and protein to complete your box. I chose the veggie rice, jerk chicken, plantain and corn. The food had good flavor. The chicken was cubed white meat. The portions however seemed a bit on the smaller side. Service was mediocre. Overall not a bad spot to grab a quick bite with some Jamaican flavor.
google avatar

Angie E.

Yelp
Oh my God! This is a gem in Aventura Mall. Real Foood that left me eating so slow because I wanted to savor every bit. The rice and beans is made with coconut that you could kit taste. It's so soft and not pasty. Just perfect. The jerk chicken has the perfect combination of spicy mines and a hint of sweet I was really caught off guard considering we're in the Mall I would come here every day. The bowls are extremely filling. Large portions and great and friendly service! Where the 10 star button.

Yelp
Best meal in AVENTURA MALL. Friend staff. We JA. Ps. Rice&peas so good. Oxtail was excellent Jerry chicken finga licking!

Yelp
We enjoyed a lovely evening at Mangrove. The atmosphere transports you to a living room in Jamaica with its comfy couches and rattan chairs and beautiful art. The owners who were very gracious and welcoming, paid attention to every detail from the greenery to the light fixtures. The food is authentic, upscale and delicious! We ordered a bit of everything and it was worth it. The drink menu is fantastic (Red Red Wine will change your life). And the dessert was so very good. We will definitely add this to our rotation for dinner in Miami.

Yelp
Good food. Nice and tasty. Hot. Flavorful and nice sized portions too. Will prob come to visit again some day
google avatar

Yelp
Not your ordinary food stall. This one is located inside the Aventura Mall's Treats Food Hall which features upscale and unique vendors. And Jrk! is one of them. I really didn't really know what to expect from this Jamaican vendor. I'm actually a fan of this cuisine and I want authentic spicy and bold flavors. This place didn't disappoint. I tried the Jerk Chicken with quinoa and veggies. Woof. Love the spicy kick. I also tried the Oxtail. OMG. That flavor is to die for. Make sure to drench the rice with the sauce. Also, the Jerk Shrimp is a must-have. Same consistency as the chicken. Bold and spicy! Basically, you pick your protein then pick your veggies and toppings. Don't worry, they rotate the food often so everything is fresh. I love this place and will keep coming back. It's a bit pricey (well you're in Aventura Mall) especially the oxtail, but the taste and quality are worth it.
google avatar

Yadira R.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Came in for the first time to grab some dinner and I was not disappointed. I took home some curry goat with rice and peas. The curry goat was super flavorful and filling (big chunks). The rum cake was moist. Everyone was super friendly. I definitely recommend to stop by and try something.

William C.

Yelp
This was GREAT! It's hard to find authentic Jamacian food and I didn't expect to find it in a mall BUT I did! Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Whenever I'm in Florida again, I will definitely be back. Hey guys, come open up one in the California Bay Area!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great option when shopping at aventura mall! All their plates were loaded with flavors. They have options like oxtail, jerk chicken (of course), and their own version of Mac and cheese! Kind of hard to pick my favorite but you can't go wrong! Pretty heavy so go hungry!

Myesha B.

Yelp
Too expensive for the size of the plate. Also the jerk chicken was really spicy couldn't eat it without something to drink.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my fav reasons for visiting Aventura mall. I stubbled across Jrk a few months ago and this has been my go to every-time I'm in the mall. I have never been a fan of Jamaican food until now. The food is amazing. I order the rice and peas 5/5, jerk chicken which is cut I p chunks of jerk chicken 5/5, pineapple plantain 5/5. The rice and peas are my fav--the coconut in the rice is soo tasty! The order does not include a drink but there are soda, juice and water options. There are staff that serve at the different stations which moves the line along promptly.
google avatar

Tamara S.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Will definitely go back! We went for my birthday and o tried the Griot. My friend was also Vegan and they had options for her as well!

Yelp
Excellent!!! The service, the quality of food, the portion,& the variety are splendid.

Yelp
This place needs a Michelin star ASAP. No joke. Always amazing, delicious, and great portioned food. Customer service is above top tier. This place always have you jamming while ordering your food (music and food makes the experience even better) I'm always going there but never take pics of the food because I'm always scarfing it down but today Iade sure to show you the quality of food they serve. If you have gone you need to go asap. Can't wait til the downtown Miami one opens. I rave about this place because it deserves it for real for real.

Yelp
Jrk! is located at Aventura mall within their food court area. After working up an appetite from exploring the shopping mall, I decided to visit Jrk! Imagine having many many options to choose to have a meal and excited about the restaurant of your choice. While I must say that the food was okay, the portions and service weren't very good. The portions were small and the service was poor and very rushed. The shrimp had a nice flavor but the rice and peas were dry and could've used a little sauce on them to make it better. The bbq jerk was also okay but could've used sauce on the rice as well. Unfortunately I won't be in a rush to return after paying a decent amount on this meal only to be disappointed.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
I've been considering trying this place in the aventura mall food court for a while, but I was so hesitant to ever not go to my usual place. I'm glad I finally tried it! It's a build-your-own bowl style, which is great because everything is obviously custom. The bbq jerk wasn't too spicy, and the mango salsa was AMAZING. I could seriously eat that by itself. They also had a great drink selection, including Mexican coke, which is sweeter and more natural than regular coke. The staff seemed sort of distracted. They would start making my bowl, then walk away or start doing something else without saying anything, which was kind of weird. Overall it was really good and a perfect fit for south Florida's Caribbean culture.
google avatar

Stephon B.

Yelp
Flavor is off the charts! Service is great! The staff are very kind! I even got the amount of gravy I only dreamed of having from other Caribbean spots. Love this place and definitely will come again & again!

Mellie C.

Yelp
Amazing food! I'd just mention that the portion size is also generous - the person gave me so much food that the lid almost didn't close.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
This is the spot when you stop by the mall. The food always hits and the flavors are crazy. Pair a plate with one of the ting drinks and you'll be happy as can be. The service is simple and fast; you'll be happy with your selection.

Yelp
Delicious! Probably one of our favourite places to eat at at the Aventura Mall. The food always tastes incredible and the staff is always friendly. We stopped by again yesterday and ordered the bbq chicken with rice and plantain and everything was perfect. We forgot to add the yuca but we definitely will next time. The classic jerk chicken bow is also delicious but keep in mind that this one is quite spicy so if you're not into spicy foods you should probably get the Bbq chicken instead. The beef Pattie's are also as delicious as the rest of their food and they have delicious rum cake which is perfect if you're craving something sweet at the end of your meal
google avatar

Yelp
Superb! The only place i will eat at the mall. Food is so flavorful and consistent in flavor every time. The staff are welcoming and they always play good music.

Yelp
Small Portions | Inauthentic | Off Service Honestly... this place came highly rated by some friends but boy was I disappointed. As a West Indian who grew up around traditional West Indies food from both home and take out maybe my standards are higher than the average. So take this review with a grain of salt. Firstly, the servers all looked tired as hell and were not personable or kind. Secondly, the portions are not reflective of Caribbean culture. Watching them count the pieces of plantain they added to each order was a little embarrassing. I actually over heard more than one customer ask for the serve to add more rice, meat or the side. I was like... what is going on here?? The peas and rice was dry and bland, the bbq jerk chicken was wayyy too sweet and the cabbage slaw was watery and out of left field. Thirdly, they were literally SO confused and hassled me to pay even when I expressed the order was incorrect. When I finally showed them the bill and the NOT MATCHING order (with a discrepancy of $27) they made it seem like I made a mistake. The server started yelling at me. I almost lost it but asked to speak the manager. As a foreigner, when he said I'd receive a refund in 5-7 days and if I didn't to come back I was like wtf? I am not going to be in this damn country. He did absolutely nothing except give me his word which - meant nothing because they refunded me the incorrect amount. The least they could have done was apology and offer me the damn chicken patty I was trying to purchase. Definitely will not be recommending this place to friends, family or enemies. Even they don't deserve this. But I guess for food court food, what can you expect ‍

Yelp
We stopped by this place on our way from church ; wanted something real tasty to fill us up . My husband got the jerk chicken and i got the curry chicken , Mac and cheese & a coke . The food was amazing ! 10/10 , ingredients were fresh, the staff was patient and friendly . Line was quickly taken care of . Literally no complaints . It's hard for my husband to say something is truly delicious . He thinks most things are just "alright or good " - rarely says this was Amazing but he kept raving about the food esp the Mac and cheese . Plus we use a coupon code they offered posted on their QR when you spend $45 ; get $15 back/off. Definitely want to try their rum cake & patties . Honestly wished they had one near where we live so i can visit a couple times a week lol . Can't wait to have them again . I know the oxtail and shrimp will be everything too ! ( We did end up going back and i had the oxtail and my husband the barbecue jerk chicken . Still amazing 2nd time !

Yelp
I went to the Aventura mall with my niece and she suggested we try out the food. The food was surprisingly good. I ordered the jerk chicken and rice peas with a side of cauliflower and plantains for my mom. She really enjoyed it and said it was really good Jamaican food. For dessert we got the 305 rum cake and that was so delicious and moist. Do not forget to get that rum cake to complete your meal. We also tried the Bacardi rum cocktails and that was also good pick to go with our meal.

Yelp
The service is great, the ambiance is nice especially for a restaurant in the food court of a high volume mall, but the food is absolutely delicious. I opted for the jerk chicken bowl with jerk fried rice, jerk chicken, mango salsa, and that pineapple plantain (A MUST) and I was so full I had to take the rest home. I highly recommend you try this palate pleasing Caribbean spot!

Yelp
Jrk! is located in the Treats Food Hall in Aventura Mall, upper floor of the mall. We had been wanting to try Jrk! since the restaurant opened, but they close at 8 PM on weekdays (sometimes even closing before that time) so we always miss them for dinner. We finally had a chance to come there at 7:30 PM and they were almost out of food. My partner and I were warmly greeted by their staff and ordered the build your own bowl. We ordered the Classic Jerk Bowl with fried rice ($12.95), and you can add on as many toppings as you would like for no extra charge. We also added a side of fried yuca sticks ($4.25) that they added on top (about 4 or 5 pieces per side). Overall food was really good, I just wish they stayed open later for dinner. Miami is a very late operating city, so it doesn't make sense to close for the day at 8 PM... it's kinda disappointing.

Yelp
I'm not going to lie, I was really surprised on how good the food tasted! The set up is like a Chipotle but Jamaican style. I ordered a jerk chicken bowl with jerk fried rice, cabbage, corn and pineapple splashed plantain. I couldn't resist seeing how big the Patties were and got a beef patty and Jamaican cola. My husband and I shared the plate and it was spicy (not in a overwhelming way). The workers were friendly and explained the concept of how you order and what kind of items are offered.

Yelp
The food and music was a wonderful experience. Makes you forget you are in the mall food court. The jerk shrimp bowl was delicious. Will definitely be back! Added bonus...as a gluten free eater there were many options to choose from.
