Old-school midtown favorite helmed by chef Taka Watanabe, a protégé of Sacramento sushi pioneer Shige Tokita. Frequently lauded by local critics; expect classic nigiri, generous sashimi, and sleeper hits like miso black cod in a welcoming, neighborhood setting.

Ju hachi is definitely under-rated! The quality of the fish is excellent, and their ramen is respectable. I believe the head sushi chef came from the original Kru, so you get the quality without the expensive price tag. The owner is a chill dude & comes out and chats every now and then. Top 4 for me personally in the sacramento area. * Don't leave without trying -Vanessa madness roll -Sashimi platter -Lomi shoyu Ramen -Tempura fried cheesecake - Hamachi Kama

Only been here once but I am ready to go back! Came here for dinner with my friend and it was a great experience. We sat outside since it was a bit busy inside, but the staff were so nice and welcoming that we didn't feel at all like the service was impacted by the amount of people. They have a great menu full of different options and a lot of drinks! The waitress was super nice in recommending different drinks and offered us a sample when we went sure what to order. If the weather is nice and you're craving sushi come here and sit outside! Perfect for date night or girls night!

Charming local sushi spot in an old fashioned, beautiful Sacramento house. The interior was cute and welcoming. Vegetarian options were really great for sushi - the veggie tempura rolls and avocado rolls were awesome! Way better than the vegetarian after thoughts you would find at a different sushi place. And the tempura cheesecake was amazing - felt really unique! Fantastic, super nice service! Thank you!

As a vegetarian visiting Ju Hachi in Sacramento late at night around 9:30, the experience was just okay. Unfortunately, there weren't many options for vegetarians, which limited our choices. The vegetable udon was disappointing, it had a weird taste, the quantity was good though--honestly, we wish we hadn't ordered it. On the bright side, the green roll was a pleasant surprise! Even though we are not seaweed lovers, we really enjoyed it. The vegetable tempura roll was good as well, but the green roll was definitely the standout dish. The service was average. I initially received ice-filled water and requested room-temperature water instead, but it took a very long time to arrive. Overall, it was not the best dining experience. The vibes of the restaurant were just okay, nothing special. While some people at the bar seemed to enjoy drinks with the sushi preparer. If you're vegetarian, definitely skip the udon if you decide to go.

The food here was pretty decent. I saw a picture of a really tasty looking little thing that had Ikura, Uni, and Toro in a spoon and asked for one of those and it was good! They ran out of Toro but they had hamachi belly and they asked if I was ok with replacing it, which I was cool with. Apparently there's no name for it, so just show them the pic and say you want one of those haha. The nigiri I got were decent. I liked the Ikura the most. The California roll was also solid and had a generous portion. Oh and they have plum wine!

I recently visited this sushi restaurant with a friend, hoping to be impressed by the rave reviews. Unfortunately, our experience fell short. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, recommending the Chubby Andy Roll. While the presentation was appealing, the flavors were underwhelming. The sauce had an unusual taste that my friend didn't enjoy. I asked to exchange it for another option, but the waitress recommended trying another bite. Sadly, I was still disappointed. I opted for the Shrimp Tempura as a replacement, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor and creativity. The sauces accompanying both rolls were mediocre at best. While the food didn't impress, the restaurant's atmosphere was pleasant. The venue was clean and aesthetically pleasing, with a great music selection. The dumplings were a highlight, and I would recommend them. Overall, I'm unsure if I would return, but I appreciate the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.

Google
I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place was a disappointment. We ordered 4 rolls and few nigiri’s and waited for an order almost 50 minutes. The rolls were packed with rice and almost no fish. Tasted plain and we had to trim every piece from rice. I honestly think sushi from Chinese Buffet tastes better. Mikuni price and buffet taste doesn’t really pair well.

Ju Hachi is a true treasure for Japanese cuisine lovers! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The sushi is incredibly fresh, crafted with precision and care, and every roll is a work of art. The menu offers a perfect balance of traditional dishes and creative twists, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss their tempura—light, crispy perfection—or the miso black cod, which melts in your mouth. The staff are attentive, friendly, and make you feel right at home. Ju Hachi isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Japanese flavors!

Yelp
Amazing service and good during our visit. Make sure to tryout the hand rolls and ramen when you go. Special rolls are also a killer

Yelp
Sooooo... we had 1.) Sesame Chicken ...1/2 was so overcooked/fried that it was hard, dry, and would shred in my teeth. 2.) Agedashi Tofu that was the firmest tofu I have ever eaten. The dashi to dip it in was brown colored water. 3.) Hamachi Tempura Roll has "betabeta gohan" (Japanese for mushy rice cooked with too much water). Proper sushi rice is rather important for a SUSHI RESTAURANT. When you add this to the avocado and paper thin hamachi, it leaves the small shrimp tempura to carry the whole roll, which it doesn't. 4.) For $14.00 you get 6 pieces of mixed tempura. DON'T LOOK AT THE WEBSITE'S PICTURES or you'll be miss led. Is an 1/8" × 3" piece of carrot worth $2.35. I'd give this dish 4* for flavor, but not value. The waitress was attentive and restaurant is casual.

Yelp
Man, I really wanted this to be a better experience. 7/1 we had concert tickets at the new Channel 24 venue and we booked a 5:45 PM reservation here for dinner for myself, my wife and my two adult daughters. From front to back this was a dismal restaurant experience. I'll just list out the negatives: - Miso soup tasted like a beef marinade - it was SO CONCENTRATED, presumably from cooking down on a burner all day. Total salt bomb. - We were flat-out ignored by our server for the majority of the meal. She came to check on us maybe once every half hour. She literally walked off mid-sentence while I was trying to order items and disappeared. We asked the other server to help us and she said she'd send our server over, never happened. We all left hungry because we literally did not have the opportunity to order the items we wanted. - Prices are crazy high - Several items on their menu were unavailable (eg salmon wings, oysters - you guys have a huge menu for a sushi place - maybe dial it back a bit if stock is an issue on a Tuesday evening) - Sakefin and Hamachi Carpaccio were very mediocre, albacore nigiri was just OK - Really it was probably the worst service I have ever received at a sushi restaurant - we felt like we were being pranked. The positives: - The sunomono and lamb lollipops were both quite delicious

Yelp
My wife and I were lucky to have a sushi artist make us his specialty rolls! It was his last day before starting a new career, so we took advantage of his skills! His imagination made flavors come together that our taste buds couldn't even comprehend. The complexity mixed with simplicity took the sushi game to a new level. The cozy interior made us feel that we're the only ones at the restaurant. Chef's choice for the rolls was a must have!

Yelp
Ju Hachi has a special place in my heart. My best friend, who now lives overseas, was the one who introduced me to this little gem, it was his go-to spot. Now, whenever I'm craving sushi, this is where I come. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy hours, so I usually just park at Ice Blocks and pay. It's a short walk, and I honestly don't mind it. One of the sushi chefs, Tsang, is always such a joy! Friendly, full of life, and genuinely wholesome. If you're lucky enough to sit at his counter, expect plenty of laughs and good vibes. The host/server was also incredibly sweet :). I came in on a Thursday, and it was peaceful at first, but it did get busier as time went on. I started with the lamb lollipop, A5 Wagyu Nigiri, Amaebi Nigiri, salmon sashimi, and pepper fin. I usually avoid ordering too many rolls since I tend to not finish them, so I stick to nigiri--and everything was amazing. I also got to try I believe it was fried salmon skin with a cilantro/fish sauce aioli? It looks like a chip! I should've ordered that too but I had to refrain. My sister tried the A5 Wagyu for the first time and looked at me wide-eyed, saying, "It melted like buttah." Lol. Needless to say, I ended up ordering a few more Nigiri's after that.

Yelp
Stop in for dinner this weekend with a few friends and was very happy with the food here. The star of it all was the spicy edamame, it was so flavor full and it has like crunchy chili oil on it. Never has something like that so we ordered two of them. The fish we all got with our rolls were great and didn't have any complaints. Service was okay, we waiting for awhile to order and took while to get our check to go cause we could find our waiter but that okay! Your typical sushi restaurant vibes inside but that did have a great house music playlist that we all loved :) Definitely a place for smaller parties since it is not that big inside. Sushi bar looks fun to sit at so next time we will check it out more.

Yelp
We ordered several items - spicy edamame, some kind of hamburger/egg over rice, and veggie roll. Everything was so delicious! I couldn't stop thinking about my meal all the way home! It really hit the spot that day. The service is very friendly and restaurant is fast and casual. We've enjoyed ourselves each time we've come here.

Yelp
Food was alright, we came early evening so it was really quiet and we were the only table or 1 of 2 tables seated inside. The table we got was really wobbly and kept wobbling the entire time we ate. We were seated by the window which was nice but there was just a ton of webs, dust and bugs near the window. Sushi was alright, not bad but not the best I've had in Sac. Calamari was really oily and rubbery.

C p.

Yelp
Terrible food. Services was ok but it took forever to get our food. Granted it was 7 pm on a Friday. Quality has really gone down. Uni was not good. Medium sashimi platter was laughable. The spider roll was not shaped well and falling apart. Ambiance is nothing to write home about. Best thing was the ika because it had shiso leaf. Will not return.

Yelp
Sang and Allen are amazing chefs. My first time here and they made me feel real comfortable. Sam was an amazing server! Great place to come for Japanese food! And the vibe is very clean and relaxing.

Felix P.

Yelp
Best sushi I've ever had hands down!! Sang and Alan (almost Kevin) are the best sushi chefs!! Hieu was an amazing server, my fiancé and I had the best night out after a tough week when she had surgery. If you don't come here to eat then you are not eating good sushi!!! Tell them Felix sent you even though they may not remember me hahaha

Yelp
music was sooo good and the spicy edamame was to die for. The sushi was also so filling and delicious!! Will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
We usually come a bit early to avoid larger crowds and to get fresher rolls. Always seated right away and super friendly sushi chef at bar and waitress' getting our dinner going. We like coming here cause tables are clean upon sitting and we can actually hear one another talk. The lobster hand roll, tako nigiri, and Shelly roll are my faves. The hubs likes the ziggy roll.

Yelp
Love it here! The service was friendly and quick. Tables were clean. We really really liked the garlic shishito peppers, highly recommend. We also got some ramen and a chicken udon dish. Not as spicy as listed but still flavorful. would come back

Yelp
What a gem! Great food. Loved the specials. The ambience is hip and youthful. Not stuffy or overly serious. The servers were energetic and friendly- always checking in and looking after us. The selection of food and udon was tremendous. I had the Tonkotsu as a main course and salmon skin rolls to start. Both were delicious. My partner had an assortment of rolls and finished all of them. No to-go boxes here! We just moved to the area and live 3 blocks away so we will be back and often. Try it and you'll see how good it is!

Yelp
Not my first time here. This was my sushi go to when i lived in Sacramento. Haven't been back for a few years. Its extremely disappointing to see the fall down cause I used to love this place. I gotta say the food now is only OK and service is the worst I've ever seen. I was disappointed to see 3 servers and 2 busers on the floor but extremely slow service and had no attention to table service. We sat down without anyone telling us where the menus were. Customers next to us even asked us if we knew. I believe the host came back after 10 mins then told us where to order. Waited about 30 mins or so to wait for the waiter to order. Then when the food came out we had to wait for plates and utensils. When she returned it was sad to see wooden chopsticks ... Everyone else had a regular chopsticks so some consistency would be nice. The sushi chefs were sweet and entertaining. Interior is still nice and clean. Service just needs improvement. I'm extremely reluctant to return and try again. But maybe. My partner believes it's just a Friday night service.

Yelp
Ju Hachi has been around forever and thankfully so because I've been able to enjoy their food for multiple decades now! I especially like their sesame chicken (sauce on side), sunomono, rainbow roll, Spicy Maria, agedashi tofu but honestly everything we've had here is good. Today we were served by Summer and our sushi chef was Sang. We weren't expecting such an awesome experience but they made it really special for us.

Yelp
This was a wonderful find on yelp! The sushi chef was moving on to another adventure, so we were able to experience the artistry of sushi! He was able to create his own version of my taste buds! Funny owner, and cozy inside.
google avatar

Mikayla M.

Yelp
I highly recommend trying the spicy maria roll here. The sushi is good quality and the service was quick and friendly. This seems like a place with a lot of regulars. I would come back again and try other rolls and dishes, this place is a bit expensive though like $20 sushi rolls.

Yelp
Ambiance It is midtown, small and charming. Cool vibe. Service Sam was great, she made a few suggestions, tried a new beer. She was very sweet. Dishes The rice had perfect texture and taste, fish fresh on rolls. The rolls cut with precision. Vanessa Madness Roll Was mentioned it was named after the owner's wife. Think this is a seasonal roll. This is the winner. Still thinking about it. Capitol Roll It was very good. Ju Hachi Tan Tan Ramen, spicy lots of flavor. Koshihikari Echigo beer, it was served cold. Will be back. Suppose to get gift for Yelp checkin, still waiting.

Yelp
My friends and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was incredible. The prices were reasonable and justified, the bottle of wine as well as the entire experience was really lovely. I always appreciate when you can tell that there is love and effort put into cooking and that is what you can see at this restaurant. The service was beyond what we could've asked for please thank or ask for the service Samantha who is just so lovely her customer service skills are Absolutely through the roof. She made our experience so wonderful. My friends and I had such a lovely time. The ambience was gorgeous and it's such a great place to take family friends Parents work business meetings. I cannot recommend this restaurant on the corner of a beautiful scenery street I think that this is a place to not miss in Sacramento.

Yelp
I received a gift card to this place so thought we'd try it out, parking was rough but that's typical for downtown. We were seated right away as there were only 2 other tables filled. We got a beer and a soda. The beer was good but my Pepsi was flat and had a weird taste(like when they don't clean the machine properly nasty) we ordered the following. 1. Spicy Edamame 2. Deep Fried mushrooms 3. (2) orders of the Beef Teriyaki plate that comes with soup, salad, and white rice 4. Philadelphia roll 5. California Roll The spicy edamame was good ! The deep fried mushrooms were disgusting!! The beef plate I don't even know where to start, the meat had a rainbow color to it which is probably why the plate was drenched in teriyaki sauce and it was cold! Had a very weird smell to it we didn't even eat it!! I can't even explain the presentation or smell. The Philadelphia roll states is smoked salmon but it's not it's raw and when I asked her she said they (torch the meat) it definitely was not torched California roll was good the cucumber were fresh and crunchy ! We didn't even eat our beef plates we just paid for our food and left. She did take the Philadelphia roll off as we complained that it was suppose to be smoked salmon and it wasn't it was just raw. We probably will never return. I almost want my money back for how bad this place was.

Loved everything about it. Small restaurant feels cozy and they have a tempura cheese cake paired with green tea ice cream which is delicious!

Yelp
Been here a couple times and food is awesome! A little pricey but definitely large portions! So don't over order. Honestly probably my favorite CA roll. Very large for $10 compared to other places. Super fresh and delicious sushi rice. Sushi rolls we have had in the past were on point, fresh and large. The only roll I did t really care for was the tempura roll. Very basic- just shrimp tempura sauce and eel sauce. We did the smaller order of mixed tempura which was $10. Was reasonable for the amount received. A previous visit we got the sesame chicken entree and it was a huge portion. Could easily be shared but you'd probably still have a little leftover. Miso soup is on the pricier side $4.50 but so good!! I would skip the side salad it's all spinach lol

Yelp
Ju Hachi is a great spot for sushi. It's close to the ice blocks, so there's lots of street parking. Some of the parking is 1 hour only zones, so just be aware. The restaurant space is pretty small. There is a sushi bar, a couple of booths, and free standing tables. We were sat pretty quickly even though they were busy. Their menu is a QR code at the table. The service was good. Our drinks and appetizers came out quickly, but our rolls took a little longer than expected. The Brussels sprouts were amazing. 10/10 would recommend. The Cindy roll was spicy! I would eat it again! The Capitol roll was also good. The Chubby Andy and Hot Mama roll weren't bad, but I would try a different variety next time. Overall, it was good value for the price. Great location, and pretty tasty food.

Yelp
Omg this place was amazing. The Corbett roll was soooo good and the portion sizes were great! It was a little pricy but it is a smaller restaurant. I'm so glad I finally tried this place. Service was friendly and I saw everyone helping out where they could. I can't wait to try more things on their menu!

Yelp
Stopped by this morning on our way to Washington. The rolls were so good and properly made. Thank you!

Yelp
Service was great from the moment we walked in the door, all staff greeted us with smiles. Small dining area but was sat right away. All appetizers and rolls were delicious. Perfect portions for the price and full of flavor. Fish tasted Very fresh. Waitress was very sweet and helpful, continued to make sure we had what we needed throughout our visit. We will for sure make this one of our to go to places for sushi. Great quiet location in downtown

Yelp
Have been coming here for years, but only recently tried them for lunch and will definitely be back! Loved the variety and quality of their bento boxes. Speedy service. Simple but clean interior. Street parking only. Perfect spot for a quick sushi fix!

Yelp
Ju hachi is still one of our favorite sushi spots in Sac. Was able to make a reservation for 2 on a weekend for my husband's birthday. This restaurant is on the smaller side, and there's usually a wait during dinner time. We ordered stuffed, fried mushrooms, and gyoza as appetizers. Both were delicious. For entrees, we got a few rolls and the chicken yaki udon. Everything tasted fresh, and flavors were really good. The Ju Hachi roll was much bigger than expected, but the presentation was beautiful. For dessert my husband got some mochi ice cream for his birthday, delicious as always.
google avatar

Jill Y.

Yelp
The food was good. We ordered the chicken wings, gyoza, dragon roll, and spider king. The ingredients were fresh. The service was on point. Definitely will be coming back!

Yelp
Eat here! Sushi was great, rice was perfectly cooked, the raw fish was so good, and there were great menu items. The fried cheesecake dessert was AMAZING, so good I still devoured it even though I wasn't hungry. Service was great as well, they sang happy birthday to another table! Very sweet. It definitely has a bit of a local, homey, casual sushi bar.

Cassie D.

Yelp
The food was great. The fish is very fresh and tasted good. Staff was very nice and had great service. The restaurant isn't that big but is nice inside. Parked across the street at Safeway and walked since I couldn't find any street parking. I will come back.

Yelp
Ju Hachi has been serving midtown Sacrament for many years and has always been consistent with their food. I can't tell you exactly how long Ju Hachi has been located at the corner of 17th and S but I can tell you that entire families have been raised in between times I've visited here. I'm not sure if they've had any ownership changes but along with their name and location, the rolls for the most part have been consistently tasty and they have flavors you wont find with their competition During my last visit, I got an assortment of rolls to share with my wife. We enjoyed everything so much, the rolls were big, the fish tasted fresh and the combo of flavors were just right. 2 of my favorite rolls were the Chubby Andy and the Orange Roll. This restaurant is not super huge inside, There's both indoor and outdoor seating available and there's also a bar to eat and drink at. I enjoyed the customer service and the waiter was happy to suggest some rolls while I was browsing the menu. FYI there is an old menu floating around online that features rolls they no longer make. Date night? give Ju Hachi a try!

Yelp
I have been here a few times and one of those times was for a yelp elite event. I dined in years ago so I can't comment on the service or ambiance. The last couple times I did take out. Pros: they were really quick with their take out orders. Sushi was decent, some of their rolls are really dense and packed so I made the mistake of ordering too many rolls. Prices are decent but they do charge $6 for a small cup of pickled wasabi. Staff were friendly and professional. Cons: parking can be hard to find but there is a Safeway across the street that you can park in their parking lot.

Yelp
After Chalk It Up, my party of 5 came for lunch on Labor Day monday with no wait when we arrived! We ordered fried calamari, crispy brussel sprouts, and stuffed mushroom to share. The calamari portion was a bit small to share among us and jalapenos were not spicy at all. The crispy brussel sprouts lost its crisp due to the aioli it was covered in but the stuffed mushrooms were big and had a nice meatiness to it. We also ordered the cindy, corbett, capitol, and kohaku rolls. The cindy roll was massive, requiring at least two bites per piece. Our favorite was the capital roll which didn't have too much sauce so we could enjoy the raw fish. Glad I got to dine-in this time after trying takeout for a Yelp event prior. Restaurant was clean, there's plenty of street parking, and servers were patient and kind. This is a great spot to get sushi!

Yelp
This cute little place was packed on a Sunday night. After taking one bite, I understand why. We ordered the Capitol, chubby Andy and Hot Mama rolls. All three was fire but we can't decide if the Capitol or the chubby Andy was our favorite. Service was a bit slow but again it was packed so I can't really blame them.

This time, I bought my boyfriend to try out Ju Hachi! Food: we ordered two sushi rolls (Chubby Andy and Hot Mama). The dinner plate was grilled salmon over teriyaki sauce with sushi rice, miso soup and salad (the dishes came out separately, wished they came together though). Fried mushrooms and Ju Hachi Tan Tan Ramen. The ramen broth, it did not taste like your regular pork broth. So flavorful and unique. My boyfriend really enjoyed it! I got the dinner plate and it was also pretty good. My only complaint is I wished all the sides and dish came together cause by the time my salmon and rice came, I was already finishing up my salad and soup xD The sushi rolls were delicious! I had to get my boyfriend to try the Chubby Andy roll. And lastly, the stuffed mushrooms, very delicious. Hot and steamy! Service wise, our waitress was very kind and attentive. The place was packed that day so she was hustling and bustling! The decor of the restaurant was very authentic. The restaurant is pretty small but they made it work! There are seatings outside and a bar. Prices is a bit high but you get what you paid for! Cause the food was delicious! I normally don't like driving down midtown to grub, but this place was amazing and parking wasn't too bad. Big thanks to Rachel again for helping me discover Ju Hachi!

Yelp
We came here for a Yelp Elite event, but decided to make this a dinner with some friends. We made reservations ahead of time. They have some sushi bar seating and a few table. It not a huge Resturant, but not too small either. I would probably make reservations to ensure a table. We got three rolls, Chubby Andy, Caterpillar, and Hot mama. I did like the caterpillar roll the best. Chubby Andy and Hot mama kinds tasted the same to me. The hot mama had Jalapeños on top. We also ordered some apps and a sashimi plate. The baby calamari, and Geso (octopus legs) were ok, it was on the oily side. The sashimi was good, but didn't stand out for me. Service was great. They checked on us quite often.

Yelp
When we arrived at 3pm, the server seated us immediately. There was only 1 server attending the restaurant so the service was kinda slow. - Chubby Andy roll: loaded with delicious fillings (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, unagi, crab). The size of roll was rather small and I wish that they didn't put too much of teriyaki sauce on the sushi. - Shrimp tempura roll: good. My kid devoured it all and loved it. I was lucky enough to find parking right across the street from the restaurant. I believe there's a parking lot on R street if the street parking was challenging.

Yelp
First off, really great service here! Our server was so friendly and thoughtful. She brought us kids water cups without us even asking. She was also the only one serving all the tables and did it all with a smile! - Hot Mama Roll: perfect if you like spicy food! The fresh jalapeños really give it a kick. I liked that it didn't have too much sauce too. - Small sashimi platter: love that it comes with the kizami! I was most excited for this but it could've been better...it didn't melt in my mouth like I hoped it would, and I wish it was colder in temperature. - Wagyu fried rice: my son loves fried rice and this $25 plate was the only one on the menu but if it has to be wagyu for him to eat meat then so be it! It's a big portion so we took a lot home for leftover. - Lobster hand roll: I thought this would be 2 pc but it was just one. Surprisingly it was pretty good though even though I'm not a big fan of soy wraps. I don't think I'd pay $15 for it again though. - Pan fried gyoza: pretty standard, nicely cooked. Oddly enough the cooked food came out first, which was good so our kids could eat. But then it was still another 10 mins for the sushi to come out even though there were 3 people working at the sushi bar. Overall good experience but it still doesn't beat my go-to spots. I do like the outdoor seating though and would pick to eat out there if I come again!

Yelp
Everything was surprisingly good. Katsudon (A+), and Vegetable Tempura - perfectly fried. Gyoza - pan fried, just right. Lobster Hand Roll - killer. Tempura Cheesecake, Green Tea Ice Cream, Strawberry Sauce - also elevated fare. Well done!

Yelp
Restaurant is in an indiscrete location. Parking is difficult as there is nearby construction. The food here is amazing. This is the type of sushi restaurant I recommend if you work downtown and you are in the area to grab lunch or dinner afterwards. It is a very casual setting and the pricing reflects this. It is sushi so it isn't going to be cheap but it is priced competitively for the area. The reason I give 5 stars is because the fish is fresh and they are generous with the portion size. One roll is enough to feed a person, and rolls are stuffed with fish. Service was great and food came fast for freshly prepared sushi. Only caveat is as I mentioned it is a informal setting. People that typically associate sushi with more formal or modern decor will be disappointed.
