This was my favorite resturant at one point I’ve been here over 10 times and throughout the years and I would t be surprised if they’re going out of business soon! From the food to ambiance. Nothing special anymore. Even portions have been cut in half. They went from having lines out the door to pretty much empty for a reason. And they’ll always seat you in their basic rooms to make it look as if they’re full but they’re not . I’ll still go because I work near by and the food is decent but I wouldn’t bother dressing up anymore. A basic outfit on a regular day would do (not a birthday spot anymore) just over priced ghetto but decent Asian food if I’m being honest I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here! Very disappointing to be honest.

This place is a whole vibe. Super trendy and chic; dope ambiance, fire music, and dim lighting. The food was amazing as well. Fresh/ high quality ingredients and I was even more impressed that we had a super large party but all of the food came out at the same time and was hot and fresh. The deviled eggs were delectable, the filling was so light and velvety. I also had the shrimp lo mein which I loved how they weren't stingy with the shrimp and they were very nice sized as well. The pork fried rice had nice sizes of shredded pork, almost felt like ribs, in it. The filet mignon was very tender and the chicken wings were fried perfectly, extremely crisp and seasoned. The service was also on point and friendly all across the board. I'd def recommend this spot and can't wait to return.

I recently visited Jue Lan Club in NYC, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The food was absolutely amazing—I’ve never had Asian cuisine this flavorful and perfectly executed. Every dish, from the appetizers to the desserts, was exceptional. One standout was the chicken satay (if I’m recalling the name correctly). It was phenomenal and left a lasting impression. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

My boyfriend and I “celebrated”my birthday here last night. The service was monstrously horrible. To say it was slow would be being generous. I think the waiters there hate their jobs; some are pleasant and others aren’t. Some items on the menu aren’t even there and what they offer instead is very poorly executed. I ordered the filet mignon but instead got the “cubed” filet mignon with broccoli. It was ok, I feel like they cooked each item separately and added them all together on the plate because everything had a different temperature when I tasted it. The jerk tacos was very COLD; like it came out of the fridge. Lastly, no one even acknowledged that a Birthday was being celebrated at the table; we waiting over 30 mins for the chocolate lava cake and not even a “happy birthday” was written on the cake. This will be our last time at Jue lan club, it’s not what it used to be. There’s better restaurants like sei Les and Philippe Chow.

First time at Jue Lan Club for my friend’s 30th birthday and I had such a great time! My boyfriend and I sat at the bar as we were waiting for the party to walk in and we started with the lychee martinis. I think it’s one of their most popular drinks and I can see why! It’s slightly frozen with a lychee on top, so good! Once the party arrived, we made our way upstairs to the private room. I loved the ambiance there’s your own personal bar, tv’s and you can hook your phone up to Bluetooth. At the bar, my friend selected a few signature drinks so we had espresso martinis and a drink called purple rain all night. Both drinks were solid. The food was family style so we got to try a couple apps and entrees. The rock shrimp tempura was delicious, my favorite app! Since I don’t eat meat I didn’t get to try everything but what I did try would make me visit again. I took some vegetable fried rice with the shrimp, the perfect combo. At the end, we had some birthday cake and danced the night away. Would definitely recommend this spot for a private dinner party, to dine in or sit at the bar!

Google
5 stars because the food was delicious. Drinks were tasty but not strong. Service was great and we had a large group so was pretty impressed by that that as well. The restaurant is dark and trendy. Vibey with a great music selection if you prefer hip hop & r&b. We sat inside, but they have a really cute Casamigos decorated patio.

Google
Horrible experience! I had a 10:15pm reservation and did not leave until 1am because the service was extremely horrible. It took 47 minutes just to order drinks at our table. The table arrangement at this place is literally elbow to elbow and you’re basically in the next persons conversation. They definitely did not prepare for the Valentine’s Day rush. The drinks and sesame chicken dumplings were good. I am definitely not eating at this Resturant again.

Had dinner at Jue Lan yesterday on Valentine’s Day and it was a vibe! Loved the dim lights and candle lit dinner experience. I love this type of cuisine so this was a perfect date idea. The food was delicious. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Lollipops and edamame as appetizers 10/10. For entrees we had chicken lo mein , pork fried rice and the charred chicken and broccoli. Everything was delicious. Definitely will be going back to try other items off the menu. Mango frozen margaritas 10/10 ! Nice and strong 🤣 Shoutout to the employees. Everybody was nice and sweet. Especially our waiter Edgar. Thank you for your amazing service. Definitely recommend this restaurant

Yelp
My girls brought me here for my birthday dinner. It was a lovely time from start to finish. We started with champagne at the bar before getting seating. We ordered family style and tried the following: Crispy Crab Ragoons - 7.5/10 Spicy Samurai Salmon Crispy Rice - 8/10 Braised Oxtail Bao Buns - 8.5/10 Jumbo Shrimp Dumplings - 9/10 Salt and Pepper Jumbo Prawns - 8/10 Pow Pow Beef - 7.5/10 Charred Brussels Spouts - 7/10 Overall it was a great dinner, with good service and a really fun vibe. I'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
HOME OF THE POW POW BEEF! It's the Pow Pow Beef for me! It's my favorite menu item and the shining star. That is perfectly prepared every time. The beef is the most tender that I have ever had and pairs wonderfully with their sweet onion sauce that hits your palate with a little pow pow. The accompanying side of jasmine rice is always perfectly steamed as well. Additional notes about Jue Lan Club: 1) An honorable mention goes out to the Lychee Martini which is a strong yet well crafted cocktail. Honestly, their cocktails have always hit the spot. They are almost worth the high price tag. 2) Make reservations especially for their dinner service all year round! 3) The tacos are all hard shell with a good amount of avocado inside so if those are not your jam then try something else because you can't make any substitutions. 4) First timers should sample the menu during NYC Restaurant Week. It gives a good introduction to their top selling items. 5) It's very dim lightning which makes it a good date night spot but not very kid friendly.

Yelp
We recently dined there with a group of 8 on a weekday with a reservation. The dishes arrived promptly, and the flavors were good. It's the perfect place to gather with larger group of friends and family. The interior decorations were cool A heads up: they adhere to a strict policy of seating only when the entire party is present, so be sure to coordinate with your group accordingly.

Yelp
Food: 9/10 Service: 8/10 Ambience: 9/10 Sometimes too noisy/loud with some tasteless music (profanity) but know you will get good food with great portions. Your server will be dope and the ambience will be sexy. A bit dark inside but you adjust quickly enough.

Robert M.

Yelp
Came here on my birthday. The restaurant was packed. Loud music playing in background when you eat so gives it a vibe. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp cocktail and steamed dumplings to start off always a plus for me, good presentation, then as my entree I had the ginger, scallion lobster that was delicious. My go to when I go to a cantonese restaurant. So even tho this was modern Chinese I still went for it and they didn't disappoint. Lo mein was average nothing to brag about but overall experience was good and I would definitely go back again to try other menu options.

Yelp
This was the first stop for NYC restaurant week "24". (Jan 2024) Reservations were made for three on Open Table, and when we arrived we were seated right away. As per previous reviews JLC is dimly lit, going for the trendy chic vibe. The restaurant week offer was 3 courses for $45. We went with three different appetizers and shared. Crispy Rock Shrimp Tempura, Vegetable Spring Rolls and Crispy Chicken Wontons. The top two were the chicken wontons and rock shrimp. For an entrée I chose the slow cooked glazed salmon and so did a friend. I was not impressed and truthful neither was my friend. The salmon was slightly overcooked rendering it a tad dry and I was not pleased with the glaze. Another dining companion order the Pow Pow Beef and was in-love, too bad I don't eat beef. For desserts we tried the Chocolate Lava Cake and Everyday's Your Birthday Cake, the ladder was also dry. The cocktails we tried were the Dusse Sidecar & Lychee Martini both were very tasty @ $20 a glass. Overall give them a try if you haven't already, the apps were a hit. Keep in mind it is Asian cuisine on the higher end in retrospect to what one may expect. Just A Note: Restaurant Week is a great way to "taste test" if you're not sure.

Yelp
The crispy chicken wontons are amazing i literally could eat that every time i go here kinda wish it was a little more private but great ambiance nonetheless

Yelp
I have come here about 4 times and it's great every time. The ambiance is really cool, the building is beautiful, the neighborhood is fun, and the staff is amazing and friendly. Food has never been anything but delicious!

Yelp
Came to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. The restaurant is stunning. Service was slow when we went despite being sat nearly beside the kitchen. The food was good, but a little pricey for what was provided. Also, the sauce on the pow pow beef was... something, a friend ended up completely scraping it off the food. The birthday celebration is what has boosted this review as they truly made my special day my special day, it was a lively celebration with a sparkler and dessert.

Yelp
This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the ambience, the music (hip hop), the art work which is actually the background behind how this restaurant came to be. I want to mention the food has a variety of options... whether you like simple or complex you will be served an amazing plate. I personally love to grab the appetizers. My favorite has to be the Chicken Satay. Let me just say their peanut sauce is TO DIE FOR! I am Cuban so you can get an idea of my taste palette. Lastly, I want to mention the service and experience made possible through such dedication. I never needed to look around for my server to hint I was thirsty, for me this is so important as I drink A LOT of water. (I am pregnant) Something else that stood out was the fact that they have a photographer in their restaurant ready to frame you image and make it possible to take home a keep-sake of your experience. THE DRINKS ARE BOMB!!!!

Yuwa A.

Yelp
I forgot to post pictures from my review. I would definitely recommend this spot. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. We had a private room and we were a party of about 40 guests! Food was good too but appetizers were a home run!!!!! Fantastic!

Yelp
I finally visited this restaurant over the weekend for a group event. Dinner was had in the larger upstairs room which has a large dinner table along with booth seats around the room. There was also 2 TVs, a bar and bluetooth to connect and play music. The service was very welcoming and on point. For an appetizer, I had the 3 piece chicken Satay. If you are big on texture, please consider the fact that the brown sauce on top of these chicken sticks have a bit of a slime consistency despite the good flavor. These sticks are pretty moderate in size so it was perfect to split between 2 people. For the entree, I ordered vegetable Lo Mein and filet mignon teriyaki style. The noodles were good; nothing special but I was very satisfied with the portion we received. The vegetables were very fresh and crunch and had great color to them. The filet mignon was the star of the show; we were not asked how we wanted our steak cooked but luckily we received it medium rare which is perfect for us. The steak came with a few stalks of broccoli on a bed of teriyaki sauce. We did not have any desserts or alcoholic drinks, but we ordered sprite. If you haven't visited before, definitely pop in for your own experience & opinion.

Yelp
Finally made it here, it's been a long time coming. I came for restaurant week, and their were plenty of items to choose from. I chose the vegetable spring rolls, the Beijing chicken that came a long side Jasmine rice and for dessert the lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The food was pretty good. The chicken was a tad bit salty for me, but that's a matter of preference. The restaurant was clean and had nice decor. Would definitely come back. I got their newest drink that the waiter reported was just add to their menu, the son of a peach. Pretty good drink if you're a fan of Hennessey.

Yelp
hello !! i just received the most racist experience of my life here !! decided that jue lan was where i waned to spend valentine's day & the bartender was openly racist towards me and my boyfriend. there was two caucasian ladies standing at the bar who went to the bathroom as he said , and me and my boyfriend stepped up to the bar. he proceeded to tell us that people were standing there and drinking. keep in mind the glasses were empty & we were only trying to order a drink before our table was ready. we asked him if we can be helped because 2 minutes went by & we weren't being serviced. he proceeeded to tell us again that there were people standing where we were and that they were spending money as if we werent !!!! did he assume we were broke?! like i do not understand. i dont recommend this place at all if you are a person of color

Lorenzo G.

Yelp
I enjoy the service here very cool staff and friendly the seating in the front is kinda tight but if u get the see the back seating area u would definitely prefer that the food was also very good (restaurant week)

Yelp
I had a beautiful time here on my last day of my vacation,. My daughter introduced me to this place .simple lovely from waiter to the drinks were superb.there appetizers were great the chicken sauté was delicious And my main course was the beef lo mein it was very scrumptious. I enjoyed myself and had a great time with my girls. Music was definitely a vibe I highly recommend this place

Madelyne V.

Yelp
This place is so in demand that it bewilders me. People crowd around the hostess table so much that you'd think you're walking into a club. We waited for 45 minutes after our reservation time because of how disorganized the restaurant was. The food was okay at best. I felt like I could get better Chinese food at a local mom and pop spot. The drinks were great, I'll give them that. I had a margarita and a lychee martini. Overall, I wasn't too impressed.

Tony R.

Yelp
A pleasant surprise. The Chinese menu was quite good. The dumplings were excellent, and the two dishes beef and chicken -- Bejing and Kung Pao were very good.

Yelp
Beautiful interior, well decorated with plush chairs, led signage, chandeliers, asian inspired decor. Trendy spot for influencers and celebrities and very instagramable. Sooo the food is UNDERWHELMING! Had apps and entrees and there was nothing that stood out. Had the rock shrimp which was a regular bang bang shrimp, chicken fried rice (hardly had flavor and missed basic salt) filet mingon cubes in the sweetest sauce I ever tasted was meh, beef lo mien (tasted like i ordered from my local take out spot) and then the salt n pepper prawns (super sad dish, overcooked and lacked any salt or pepper). Drinks - lyhcee martini was sooo good. Kiss by a rose tadty and beautiful presentation. Dessert - plain..nothing at all asian inspired The resturant staff are attentive and it has beautiful seating both in and outside. Food is overpriced and drinks pretty much the same. New York has great asian food but this is not it. Great for a photo ops but thats about it. The best thing for us were the drinks.

Chanel B.

Yelp
Highly recommended !!!! Located inside of an old stone built church with an outdoor seating/ lounge area. There's a lot of cool hip hop/Asian fusion memorandum throughout the restaurant. The staff is very attentive, clearing your table throughout dining and servers are wonderful! Let's put it this way lol i didn't want to leave :) Appetizer- Spicy Crab Tacos 10/10. Braised Oxtail Tacos 10/10 Main course- Glazed Salmon 9/10. Jue Lan Special fried rice 10/10. Chicken Lo Mein 9/10 and white rice.10/10 Dessert- Chocolate cake with dulce de leche icecream 9/10 Drinks- Glass Sauvignon Blanc 8/10. The Palm Rośe frozen cocktail 9/10. Tips- Reservations strongly suggested. Bar seating available. Private rooms available. Clean restrooms. Dress code subjective. Celebrities frequent here. Parking on street available. Comfortable seating. Price $$-$$$. Plays loud hip hop, pop, alternative music with some profanity(be mindful). Celebrates birthdays. Kid/ family/ date/ business meeting friendly! :)

Yelp
I planned my mother's 60th birthday dinner, June 1 for a party of 30. I will highly recommend this place, the food was delicious. We chose the pre-fix menu and the food again was amazing. And the portion sizes are huge, everyone was able to take food home. The highlight of the whole planning process was Annya, their event coordinator. She was awesome to work with. I called her endlessly with questions and changes but she was so accommodating and made the whole experience amazing. She makes Jue LAN top tier, I love her

Johna L.

Yelp
Food was good! Nothing spectacular, just good! I just didn't like the fact that my hubby and I were automatically charged a 20% gratuity & when we asked the server about it she made a comment about everyone who comes here automatically pays a 20% gratuity but then says I will take it off. Now I don't mind tipping, at all but you're not gonna automatically charge me what you want! That was not nice Rosa G.

Denny M.

Yelp
Very romantic, great service, love the drinks and the atmosphere and vibes that the place generates is just amazing. A great place for a date night,

Judy H.

Yelp
Went for restaurant week with friends - the interior design is beautiful and a great atmosphere. For $45, you get an appetizer, main, and dessert - luckily with the three of us we got one of each for the appetizer and dessert to share. The Asian fusion food was interesting, my favorite was the shrimp tempura and edamame dumplings. The pow pow beef was tender, but the sauce was very sweet. The service was great with refilling water, but whenever we asked questions about the menu or told our waiter about allergies, they gave us odd glances which was not very welcoming. Overall a decent restaurant week spot, but not sure if I would go here and pay full price.

Joannie B.

Yelp
An old church turned into a restaurant, this placeh has beautiful decor, good music, as well as good food and drinks. Came here with my friends and I like it. We ordered from the restaurant week menu and everything was good. The salmon could've used a Lil salt and pepper but not bad. The shrimp tempura, the wonton with the sweet chili sauce, and the satay chicken were all delicious. I had the kiss by a rose drink and it was good and cute with the rose sculpture. The bar is small and can't accommodate lot of people. But inside is huge and the restaurant spans out half a block. There's a section that is secluded if you want a Lil me time to have a conversation with your boo or friends. I would definitely return here for a date night maybe or just dinner with friends again.

Honor G.

Yelp
Pros Cute spot Beautiful outdoor sitting Great service Good music Great drinks Cons $$$$$$$$$ Food was ok

Emi B.

Yelp
More like 3.6 Came here with a large group with family style menu. The favs- *Jumbo Salt & Pepper Prawn - truly extra jumbo. So satisfying and delicious. (Can't believe I didn't take photo of this dish) *Chicken Satay - chicken was tender. *Vegetable Lol Mein - usually don't like this dish but the noodle texture was great. Random vegetable selection was a bit odd and def not Asian though. To be honest, the ingredient quality was great here- Filet Mignon cubes, Rock Shrimp, Beijing Chicken, fried wonton, vege spring roll, we tried these dishes and the protein were all tender and juicy. But overall was heavy breading and saucy, so it just feels really heavy overall which is the down side. The only dish I didn't like was the fried rice. They have beautiful garden and service was great. Spicy Margarita was the best!

Cam A.

Yelp
It's over priced subpar Asian fusion food . As a NEW YORKER used to amazing Chinese cuisine , you're coming to this location for vibes, decor , music and ambiance not for actual amazing food . We came here to celebrate a birthday and was charge a $50 cake cutting fee which I'm used to but usually it's anywhere between $25-$30 paying $50 to bring your own cake is actually ridiculous. Our waiter was new he told us it was his first day . He was very attentive to us and tried to make this experience great for us .

Usha P.

Yelp
We went during the busyness of restaurant week so that's probably the reason for the following issues. It took about 20 minutes for a waiter to even bring us water and menus. Next it took a long time for the food and dessert to come out. Then the chicken yakitori was not good, neither was the chicken tacos, nor the chocolate lava cake. On the other hand the restaurant is nicely decorated and the ambience has a good feel. And the salmon was pretty good.

F F.

Yelp
First the service was poor. Took 10 min for anyone to come to our table. 2nd, Music way too damn LOUD. I felt like I was in a nightclub the entire dinner. Couldn't hear myself talk. Ask the staff if they could turn the music down a little. The waitress laughed & refused. I understand the vibe of the restaurant however volume was insane. Will not go back.

Dechhen S.

Yelp
Jue Lan Club is a cool restaurant with really cute outdoor seating and vibey indoor seating. I loved their salt and pepper jumbo prawns and definitely recommend getting them. However for a dim sum place I didn't enjoy their dumplings that much. They were really cute coming with different colors of dumpling wrappers but not the tastiest. The service was pretty good and overall I enjoyed my experience.

Jason R.

Yelp
This was my choice for my birthday dinner. It's a trendy/hip overpriced Chinese restaurant. The food was good, The music was cool (not family friendly, whatsoever) but if I didn't have my minor child with me I could have enjoyed more, but I still had a good time. After we were seated, we sat there for awhile, and it's relatively pitch black inside, but nobody came over. It was very odd-- I'd say we sat there at least 15 minutes before anybody came over. When she came over, there wasn't an apology and she asked if I wanted anything. I almost wanted to respond in a sarcastic tone, but I didn't. We placed our food/drink order. While it took forever for a sever to come over, the actual food came out rapidly-- actually, almost too rapidly. I'm assuming the food is pre-made and ready to go. I went with the Filet Mignon and Broccoli all g with Brown Rice, which was excellent. Also, we ordered spare ribs, Vegetable Fried Rice and Chicken. We all were pleased with the food-- the drinks were good, but I don't think they are worth $20 a piece. My birthday dessert was excellent and apparently many people were celebrating their birthday and they bring your dessert with sparklers and the whole crew comes out-- which is a nice touch, for people celebrating their birthday. They played all rap music all night, which I wouldn't have minded, but as I did have my daughter I ate as fast as possible to get out of there. This place is good for a birthday/date, but not a family dinner. My other issue is the automatic 20% gratuity-- it's listed as a service charge and on the receipt and shows the gratuity amount you can leave- it's a deceptive way to get folks to leave a second tip! They aren't the only establishment that does this, but I find it in poor taste and sneaky. Nonetheless, thank you JLC for helping me enjoy my Birthday!

Sijana C.

Yelp
Ambiance and decor was beautiful. Service was okay, but not sure that I'd return as the food quality and taste isn't worth the price.

Jenni F.

Yelp
We came here during Restaurant Week and loved it! The menu was amazing for the price and had a lot of good options! we came for lunch and the place was super quiet and pretty empty which was great! their prices for restaurant week are a steal but i found their regular menu to be overpriced and probably wouldnt have come here if it wasnt for restaurant week. we had the beef dumplings and the crispy chicken wontons and we loved both. for entrees, the server recommended the wok charred chicken and we also got the lo mein, and the servings were good for two people honestly. or enough for leftovers. for dessert, i got the creme brulee, which felt like a very basic option for an asian restaurant, but good nonetheless.

Shanita M.

Yelp
I must say this establishment exceeded my expectations. I went here on Galentines Day with my friend, which was also the last day of Restaurant week. It only occurred to review because we were on the phone today making plans to go back. I can't think of one thing to complain about. The service was top tier. The food was really good and the portions were large, especially for it to be Restaurant week. I had food to take home. If you are a drinker, the drinks are what's going to make you fall in love......they gave me life. Listen, even the salted caramel lava cake deserves a review in itself . Overall, the atmosphere is a vibe. I will say the girlies on IG can be a little extra with all the sequin dresses and homecoming looks....while this place is nice and should dress nicely it is not necessary to dress for the homecoming dance. True rating 4.5

Amanda L.

Yelp
This place is chic- it is decorated beautifully and plays great music. I have no complaints with the food and the drinks are made really well (delicious and strong). Our waitress was nice and since it wasn't too busy, she was attentive. Please note that gratuity was automatically added to our bill (a table of two), so be please be mindful of your bill.

Jacky C.

Yelp
Came here for NYC Restaurant Week with a group of friends. We booked an "outdoor reservation" but was seated inside anyways, thank god. Checking in with the hostess was not too bad as others had described it, but they were very adamant on making you leave after your 90 minutes were up, regardless on how slow the service may be. The four of us agreed to each order different appetizers so we could try them all, while entrees we were not going to share, and double up on one dessert as they only offered three for the occasion. Overall, I felt like the food was nothing really special as you could order these items elsewhere at a much lower price. Marketing does wonders and they're successful at it here selling it as "Upscale Chinese food". Appetizers: Crispy Rock Shrimp Tempura - If you want to get your money's worth, order this. They serve a plate-full stacked to the top. Chicken Satay - Grilled chicken on a stick with peanut sauce? No thanks. Crispy Chicken Wontons - Pretty standard fried wontons with a tasty sweet chili sauce. Edamame Dumplings - These were a winner for me. The most unique item I consumed and tastes great. For the entree, I struggled a bit as everything they offered on the RW menu was pretty basic items. I ended up settling with the Slow Cooked Glazed Salmon, which was pretty tasty with the teriyaki sauce they put on it. Dessert: Overall great dessert, but nothing "Chinese" about these desserts. Didn't even attempt to sprinkle some matcha powder on these and call it a day. Chocolate Lava Cake - For the chocolate lovers with melted chocolate in the middle and a side of vanilla ice cream. Creme Brûlée - My personal favorite. Vanilla Cheesecake - Looks like a cupcake with mango drizzle over it, but surprisingly good.

Yelp
I loved this place. The food was amazing! The greeter was friendly and helpful. The decor is gorgeous. They made accommodations for allergies and dietary restrictions with ease. And my favorite part was that the hostess was so kind to point us to the best places to take photos and even snapped some great shots for my friend and I.

Yelp
For winter restaurant week 2022, our first place to try was the Jue Lan Club which specializes in modern Chinese fare. The place is really busy and making a reservation is highly recommended. We were also told that we can only stay for 90 minutes due to the turnaround. For a $39 deal, it came with an appetizer, main entree, and dessert for each guest. We first selected a bottle of rosé to start the dinner since it's family-style dining we shared the following: 1. Crispy rock shrimp tempura 2. Crispy chicken wanton 3. Stir fry shrimp lo mein 4. Beijing chicken 5. Lava cake 6. Crème brûlée All the dishes are delicious and came in a timely fashion, and the serving was so generous and we ended up having a leftover bag. We never felt rushed even if we exceeded 90 minutes time frame. We were completely satisfied with our experience at Jue Lan Club. A must-try!

Yelp
It's basically the trendy spot for Chinese food, Instagrammable pictures, and the all the tunes. Notice I didn't say with amazing food...LOL! But I'm getting ahead of myself. I've come here 2x's. As previously stated, the entire place is picturesque. Anywhere you turn you can take a picture and it'll be super cute. They also have someone walking around to take your picture for the grand price of $20...lol. It also seems to be a known date spot. Both times I've gone, I've seen couples on a date. For the 1st date, anniversary, or just because. They have booths that make things super cozy so it definitely plays into a great place for a date. OKAY so the food... is very underwhelming. :-( I got the Beijing chicken... that was actually good. A little salty, but good. Now the vegetable lo mein and jue lan special rice needed the salt that my dish had. My comrades stated that there was no flavor to either, and I would have to agree. Sadly rice not having some type of flavor is just sad. So of course we needed the soy sauce to flavor it up a bit. The left overs will be doctored up at home with some garlic butter...try it, it'll change your life...lol Soooo it's a beauty of a place, but not enough to get me to consistently go for not so great Chinese food. Especially living in the city that has it's share of amazing Chinese food.

Yelp
Let's just say I have no problems here. the food is amazing. The taste of everything has made my taste buds say I want more. I try to order something different every time but I will always order the shrimp lo mein. The service from the Host when you walk in to the servers who to your Oder are always courteous. This establishment is a beautiful look. Great for Picture taking. The tables are set with nice white linen. The booth are a nice & plush. I recommend a visit here.

Yelp
We had a decent experience here. Not too sure how much reservations matter, although we did have one. We waited for about 15-20 min when we arrived which wasn't too surprising as it was a Friday night. We went during restaurant week so we could try different items without spending a crazy amount of money and it was the best decision! We got to do exactly what we wanted, try foods we were interested in without breaking the bank. We'd like to go back to see the other seating area further inside as we sat by the entrance seating area the restaurant had.

Yelp
Starting off the review for the reasons what I'm deducting two stars: one star is for its price. I went during restaurant week so I paid $30 for a pre-fixed lunch, if it wasn't for this, I probably wouldn't have came here. The second star is deducted because their beef dumpling lacked flavor. I had to drown mine in soy sauce to give it an extra kick. My favorite part of the meal was their dessert. If I were to come back, it'd probably only be for their dessert.

Yelp
It is a beautiful restaurant with great decor. Service is decent. Food is honestly overpriced and not worth it. New York has some of the best Chinese food and this place does not have it. I came here for restaurant week and ordered the rock shrimp tempura, beef cubes, and creme brûlée. The rock shrimp tempura was pretty good-- fresh and flavorful. The beef cubes was bland in flavor and rice wasn't cooked well. I'd say the creme brûlée was probably the best part although it's not exactly a chinese dessert. I'd say if you are looking for aesthetics, this place provides that so go for the drinks and take your pics, but if you want good Chinese food, you're better off in Chinatown.

Yelp
**Restaurant Week 2023 Review** I finally got around to trying this place during RW because I couldn't justify spending so much on glorified Chinese food (American-Chinese I should say). I still feel the same way but I will admit I was pleasantly surprised. First walked in and sat at the entrance bar. Noticed a couple of tables there but didn't know that was actual dining tables. The hostess was going to sit my friend and I there and I asked if we can be in the main room and she said there will be a 30 wait. I def wanted to wait lol. It was giving hotel lobby vibes at the table she was going to sit us at... We waited 30 min and we were finally brought to a table in the main room. It was much better vibes and felt like I was in an actual restaurant. The vibe is dark and sexy. However there were 3 birthday party tables in the room and they go pretty hard with the singing and slamming the gong lol. The food. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty tasty. Other places like Philippe, TAO, or other Asian-inspired trendy spots always disappoint... I will say everything was pretty much drowned in sauce so how could that not taste good lol. The RW deal was $45 for a 3-course dinner which I think is extremely fair. Especially compared to their regular prices. The portions were also amazing. They definitely did not skimp out as many restaurants do for their RW menu. We got the rock shrimp, crispy wontons, shrimp lo mein, cubed beef, and crème brûlée. Again, super basic American-Chinese food dishes but I really can't hate at the taste or portion size. The crème brûlée with strawberry absolutely delicious. The drinks. It was $20 each. Nuff said. But it was very good. The service. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. Loved him. The bill. They automatically included a nice hefty tip for themselves. Good for y'all. You deserve it. All-in-all a great experience but don't know if I'd pay any more than I did this time around.

Yelp
Loved returning here in the Winter. A definitely must do for restaurant week. Have the edamame dumplings! And the salmon was a hit at our table. I had the pleasure of dining in "The Forbidden Room" upstairs - a celeb favorite. Enjoy!
