Caribbean’s Fish Friday Tradition Is Also in London’s Best Restaurants | Eater London

"Though based in north London, Juicy Roots is almost as deeply rooted in west London lore with its long standing presence in the capital’s world famous Notting Hill Carnival, grilling up a varied selection of jerk meats. Fridays at the restaurant are of coursed focused on fish, and the offerings are as eclectic as anywhere else. Chicken is switched out for fish in the front-running brown stew, while the more veteran aficionados opt for the likes of sea bass and sea bream all served up with a choice of white rice or rice and peas." - Riaz Phillips

We booked Juicy Roots to cater Black Introvert Week UK, and they exceeded every expectation. The team were professional, organised, and genuinely cared about getting the details right, from the menu to the timing to understanding the tone of the event. The food was the highlight of the night. Every dish was packed with authentic Caribbean flavour, seasoned perfectly, fresh, generous portions, and beautifully presented. Guests were raving about it (especially the wings!) and kept coming back for more. Several people asked for their details on the spot. Beyond the food, the Juicy Roots team brought warmth and community spirit. If you want catering that delivers soul, flavour, and outstanding service, look no further. Highly recommend. We’ll absolutely work with them again.

Chicken soup is lovely. The curry goat is shocking, yuck. Who made that?? Tasteless and full of bones, fat & gristle. Ew, I’m embarrassed for them. No wonder it was buy one get one free. They’re trying to get rid of it themselves. Wouldn’t eat it, even if I was dead for hungry

I had jerk chicken, white rice and salad at an event at Alexandra Palace where Juicy Roots were catering. The food was lovely and I would recommend to my friends and family to go to the restaurant.

Juicy Roots offers fresh, healthy, and flavorful juices with a great variety to choose from. The ingredients taste natural and high-quality, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. A perfect spot for a refreshing drink or a healthy boost!

Really tasty and decent prices too!! Ordered the curry chicken lunch box and loved it will say they were slightly stingy with the portions of chicken and curry. Two small pieces and not much sauce

Ordered online, quick delivery. firstly the takeaway containers need upgrading. The food was piping hot however the cheap container meant the food was spilling as the packaging had folded due to the hotness of the food. This needs to be looked into, yes save the planet and all that! But save my food because it ain’t cheap!!! The jerk chicken I ordered was well seasoned, however I prefer actual thigh and leg this shredded chicken was definitely not it, also could have done with more gravy it had been soaked up by the poor container. Rice and peas was well seasoned and tasted nice. But overall disappointing.

This is our go too carribean.. it’s very good nice food and I would say a good size portion. Ex Price £8.50 for ackee and salt fish, my only disappointment is that sometimes when we have ordered, they don’t have all the dishes available!.
