"Don’t let the exterior fool you, East Nashville’s Juicy Seafood is a must for those looking for classic Cajun dishes. Warm up with a cup of gumb, then grab a fried basket of calamari, shrimp, catfish, or tilapia trimmed with onion rings or hush puppies. Or, opt for boiled crab, shrimp, or crawfish (when in season) appropriately served with corn and potatoes. Add cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, or all of the above for an extra kick." - Kellie Walton

Wow!!! What an immersive experience. It looks like SpongeBob is not the only one who lives in a pineapple under the sea. I took my non-verbal daughter her and I saw her light up like never before. Her handler tagged along as well and put that crawfish to good use. My daughter signed it best “it’s a bad day to be a crawfish!!” . The highlight was the butter bag!; worth your $$ and the way the host spun the bag left the entire table in awe. 1000/10. !!! Great for birthdays, funerals, divorces and or a simple Sunday night out.

Quite possibly the absolute worst restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of eating at!!! The fact that it was in a shady strip mall in East Nashville should have sent up a plethora of Red Flags, but my wife and I had eaten at one there locations in North Carolina and we loved it, so we threw caution to the wind and went there. We'll start with the food. For starters, we ordered a dozen oysters. They were the only good part of the experience. We chose to build our own platter. We ordered half a pound of shrimp WITHOUT heads, we got three shrimp with heads on. We ordered half a pound of Green Mussels, again we received three mussels. We ordered 8 scallops and there were 8, BUT they were literally the circumference of a nickel. I'm sure that the half a pound of Snow Crab legs were right but we couldn't even open them because they were so rubbery. There were literally only three pieces of corn on the cob and two and a half red potatoes. A decent amount of broccoli that was absolutely uneatable because they were so overcooked. The seasoning (basic garlic butter) had started congealing by the time she poured it on to the platter...the platter that we had to ask for, if we hadn't she expected us to eat straight from the bag. Which now brings us to the service, or should I say the lack there of. When the waitress took our drink order, my friend asked for wine and the waitress said, "Yeah we don't have wine, but we got Champagne beer". My friend asked what champagne beer was and the waitress actually said, "I'm not really sure it's just called Miller High Life... champagne beer." We should have got up right then and left, but unfortunately we stayed. After we initially got our drink orders within minutes she brung out the oysters and as I said before they were good. We then gave our order and within minutes, before the oysters were even eaten, the bag of food and three plates...as if it were already made. I asked if they had a platter that we could empty onto and she acted as if she was put out by doing this. It took longer for her to get the platter than it took to get our food. She brought us one tool to open the Crab legs because she said there wasn't anymore...keep in mind the place was nearly empty. We never saw her again until the check was LITERALLY dropped on the table. Quite possibly the absolute worst and dumbest waitress in the history of the profession. Atmosphere...as I said it's in a shady strip mall in East Nashville. The inside smells of damp and old seafood with mumble rap blasting over the speakers. In conclusion, I would say even if there's a zombie apocalypse happening and this was the ONLY restaurant with food and shelter...STILL AVOID IT AND TAKE YOUR CHANCES WITH THE ZOMBIES!!!

Some of the juiciest, tastiest, plumpest, spicy Cajun fried shrimp that I've ever had! They were delicious! Just FYI It didn't say this anywhere on its menu, but it was almost a Cajun/Asian fusion restaurant, which I've not seen many of that combo before but it worked great, everything had lots of nice spice and texture, hot but not too hot! Besides the great shrimp I got thier version of fried rice and it was BANGINg💘, like nothing id had before, wish I lived closer cause I can't figure out the spice mix!

Came to this location on a random weekday, and it was fairly empty. Juicy seafood is always a go to for me and I enjoy the flavors and seafood selections they provide. On this occasion this was my very first time ever visiting this location. Sadly half way through receiving my meal a fly landed inside of my bag. Yuck! So much for finishing my meal or taking it to go. I got the attention of the waitress and let her know that a fly from inside the restaurant had landed inside my food. She was shocked...Well so was I LOL glad we were both on the same page. She runs off to get someone else who I assume is the manager and I explain to her and show her the bug. Guess what she did.....? Discount? Nope. New bag? Nope. She brings scissors and tries to cut the bug out of the bag. I wish I was joking!! I informed the lady I would not be eating this food mam my meal is now contaminated and at this point I don’t want the meal anymore. Well she lets me know she can call her manager and ask if he can give me a 20% discount... sure no worries I will wait since that’s the ONLY option you can provide. Not new food, not comping the meal because your restaurant had flies swarming people as they eat. My initial waitress came back after 2 minutes and says well I can give you a 5% discount. I couldn’t accept 5% when I didn’t even get to finish my meal to begin with AND that is not what was advised by the scissor happy woman. That won’t fly. Pun intended! The 20% discount was applied as informed... but it doesn’t stop there you guys. I give the waitress $100 bill and cash out. When she brings my change as always I count my change. Hmmm... I’m missing $5, which I blamed on her maybe miscounting. I wait patiently to bring this to her attention and she looks confused for a moment, but immediately goes into her pocket playing slightly coy. Guess what she pulled out? A $5 bill. I can’t make this up!! I felt like I was being punked and after the horrible customer service and unclean practices I can honestly say I will NEVER be back or eat at this juicy seafood location based on this experience. That sh** won’t fly 🪰 !

Our waitress acted like she had somewhere else to be, she never smiled. My onion rings where cold, really people you need too do better. No popcorn shrimp, again really 😕

Hardly got any meat out of my crab legs left hungry still.... But they were nice and gave us some free shrimp!!! The place was decorated nice but the seats were hard to get in and out of!!!

Disgusting! Tiny chicken tenders, ALL BREADING! Half cooked grease things they call French fries! Catfish nothing but grease bombs! Everything tasted and looked old, not fresh! Over $50 with tip WASTED! I would not feed food to a pig! NEVER AGAIN! East Nashville location!

I've been here a few times. The food can get pretty sloppy, so they give you very thin gloves, and have thin paper around the table. The food itself is always good quality, it's worth the price. I always get the medium spicy Cajun seasoning, a little spicy but not too much. 1/2lb mussles, 1/2lb crab Legs, 1/2lb shrimp is around $35, feeds 2 people. Good date idea, not too expensive. Joey Lan has always been my Waiter, he's always taken good care of me.

Yelp
Holy Smokes talk about a seafood boil! I have been craving some crab legs and shrimp and have heard all the rave about Juicy Seafood, so I decided to try it myself. I decided to get my order to-go and order before, the ordering process online went smoothly. Once I came to pick up the food and drive 20 minutes back to my house the food was still hot and STEAMING! The amount of food we (2 females) ordered could have feed at least three people - Combo G - it was 1/2 a pound of each meat: crab leg, sausage, and shrimp along with some potatoes and corn. There are different seasoning and spice levels to choose from: Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, old bay, and the juicy special. We ended up getting the juicy special and it was delicious! The service was great when I went in to pick up my food. I plan on going back with a group to have this experience.

Yelp
I ordered the gumbo and a catfish basket. The gumbo was nothing but a bowl of crawfish tails in a thick broth. Definitely not gumbo. The catfish with so thin, I am not exaggerating a bit when I say you could hardly see the meat. The catfish coating would have been good if it had some catfish to go along with it and it was way way overcooked. But of course I don't see how you could get the coating brown without overcooking it because the fish is so thin. This place Definitely needs some changes.

Yelp
Came here cause I was craving a crab boil! Originally from Florida, I know some good seafood, this is pretty good for not being near the sea. For appetizer I got fried okra, perfect snack to start. For my boil I got snow crab, shrimp, and sausage. The seasonings may have been a little heavy and my shrimp were swimming in butter, good but a little much for my liking. Still was very happy cause the crab is what I really wanted and got more than expected for a 1/2 pound and it was very good and had a decent amount of meat. The service was lovely, my waitress went over the whole menu and always checking in on me and very nice!! Place is easy to get to next to ace hardware with a parking lot. Glad I now know there is a good boil in town, will be back.

Yelp
Waited 5 minutes to get seated and the place was empty. 2 workers were near the bar area and never bothered to seat us. Bartender was tied up watching TV. We left without eating here. Place looked sketchy on the outside but decent inside.

Mike Z.

Yelp
This was a pleasant surprise in the neighborhood. We've passed this place multiple times and we finally stopped in and I'm glad we did. There's ample seating and a super clean establishment. Considering it was cajun style seafood, I was honestly expecting sticky floors and a fishy smell but you get none of that, instead you get greeting friendly and seated in one of the many tables or booths. It's fun because it has the write on the walls type vibe to the place so it's super casual. The menu is pretty simple and you get a good amount of food, but being from Texas, I am so glad for the seasonings that they use. It brought me back to what I hoped it would taste like and it did! I give props to people who can splurge for the king crab combo but their snow crabs are just as tasty. We're a fan!

Erin R.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed the seafood. Group of six and everyone was happy. We will definitely return when in Nashville.

Yelp
Came in here last week. They were steady busy and we were seated right away. They had great prices and good deals on their specials. We ordered the special with came with king crab legs, half pound of shrimp, Everything was cooked to her liking, seafood boil had a great taste. The king crab legs hurt very little meat in the shell, and I have no idea why. Some of the shells had no meat in them, weird! Everything was great, but I do not think I will return

Yelp
I've been here a few times and the last couple times left me feeling like I can't confidently recommend this place at least until they improve things. Prior to my last two visits I always enjoyed going here because they do the flavors really well. The food is fresh and good but service a bit slow. Still, I raved about this place to friends. On my last dine-in I had brought a friend with whom I raved about the yummy seafood. During this dining experience the place was packed and they were clearly a bit short staffed. Chalked it up to the pandemic and at the time restaurants had just allowed full capacity. We spent over 2hrs from start to finish, so needless to say I was grateful we were not in a hurry. The following visit I could tell once again they were understaffed. Upon walking in, two different parties ahead of us were seated. We waited for a good 10-15 min and no one ever came back up to acknowledge or seat us. You can tell by the one or two servers they had darting across the dining room that it would be a long wait as the kitchen also tries to catch up. As if the wait wasn't enough to make us want to leave the garbage and litter on the floor all over from diners that have paid and left already definitely was a final straw. I was officially embarrassed to have brought a small group of us there and actually made the decision to go else where when I saw the conditions. Sadly I won't be recommending this place or coming back purely based on their lack of cleanliness.

Alexis R.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. The food was amazing, my love for sweet tea has been satisfied. The customer service was amazing, when we got there Thalia was the only server on the floor to take care of various tables. She was very patient with my husband, aunt and I being that my husband and I came in from Hawaii and never been here before and my aunt only being there twice. Thalia was so sweet, helpful, patient and kind. Her amazing multi tasking skills really did show today, she handled it a lot better than most people. She made our experience here great and making me want to come back here again every time I come in the city. Thank you so much Thalia

Chris R.

Yelp
This was our first time here. I'm from Florida, grew up on seafood. It was great. Fast service, friendly wait staff, pleasant atmosphere. Great variety on the menu. If you like seafood, you'll love it.

Kaity C.

Yelp
Amazing service! Amazing food and portions for a great price! We came here on our honeymoon trip and the waitress brought us a cheesecake on the house which was very nice of them! We would recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking for great seafood at a reasonable price!

Paxton C.

Yelp
Food was okay. Ordered a hibachi steak and chicken and one just chicken. What I didn't order was a side of spare shrimp tails and craw dad claws that were mixed around inside my to go order. Absolutely disgusting.

Baggett L.

Yelp
Terrible oysters. And the service wasn't good either. Save your time and money. The gumbo was the best I've ever had! ‍

Farrah G.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed the food. The sauce and heat was perfect. We will definitely be back!

Rick D.

Yelp
The food here is really great. The one and only problem we had was with the server Missy. She started off complaining about working a double shift. From there it just got worse. As soon as our food was placed in front of us our final check was followed. With no regard to if we needed anything else. Other customers came in and were attended in a different manner. As we were reviewing our checks she quickly walked up and started snapping her fingers saying" I have a emergency and have to go". I asked for the manager and that was the last I saw her. Again the food was great and great flavors but refuse service from Missy

Shara H.

Yelp
Good service, good food, & good music! My friends & I love this place. We always leave full & with leftovers.

Cicely G.

Yelp
My family and I have been LOYAL customers (spending over $100 each time we go) of Juicy Seafood since they opened UNTIL tonight!! We will NOT return again as a result of the customer service we received tonight. We ordered two combination meals to go, only to get home and discover that my dad's combo meal did not contain the three (3) lobster tails for which, we paid extra! When we called to inform the restaurant, they argued back & forth in my mother's ear to the point where she just hung up and took the food back, which was another 30 minute drive from where we live! Once we got there, we asked for the manager who we were told is named Michelle. They said she was not working until tomorrow. They kept trying to offer us a pound of shrimp. My mother does not eat shrimp. I asked them three times to compensate us for the $61 meal or at least $25 for inconvenience & gas money back & forth. They offered 10% off our next meal & 2 free drinks. UNACCEPTABLE! I explained that is very poor customer service along with other things they did that I will not elaborate on in this post. If Michelle is ever able to remedy this situation, I will modify this review/post. Until then, Juicy Seafood has lost three loyal customers.

Charlie T.

Yelp
Loved the shrimp boils! Place was clean and so was the shrimp !The service was fast and efficient. Loved the whole experience. The people were very nice. The cuisine, although good, is not cheap. However it is worth the splurge.

Tennessee H.

Yelp
Been going here for a while now, been wearing it out for the past few weeks & they have been good. We went yesterday and was disappointed after we returned home & opened the bag my claws were broken, tough crab legs & wrong seasoning. Ordered hot & was given mild apparently, no season or garlic whatsoever. Dannng Juicy what happened? Probably will not return for a while still in shock

Big W.

Yelp
This place is usually on point but since they fired some of the staff or they left this place has gone down hill it's absolutely disgusting in here I can only imagine how their kitchen is. .I'm standing in line to get food and had to walk through trash smh

Tamara J.

Yelp
1/2 pound Shrimp, 1/2 pound mussels, potatoes, corn, eggs. Cajun, garlic seasoning. Best hole in the wall in the city. New to the area and had to check them out. Very satisfied.

Alisha N.

Yelp
I got a 1/2 pound of crab and shrimp Togo from There. It was the only meal I ate that whole day the next morning I woke up with food poisoning could not stop throwing up and bad diarrhea. Call the store and she basically said I couldnt prove it was them so there was nothing she could do. I love juicy seafood and never had an issue before but after this I never plan on eating it again. Side note it was my first time at that restaurant.

David R.

Yelp
Sorry - not the best. Got the fried oyster basket and the oil tasted old, onion rings were greasy, slaw was not made in-house and tasted like off the shelf from a grocery. Wanted to like it but won't be back.

jae d.

Yelp
2 stars because service was good the waiter pleasant. However, the place smells like cleaning solution - not very conducive to dining. I'm from Louisiana and this is what we'd call mediocre.

Julian R.

Yelp
I ordered a combination boil of 1/2 lbs of shrimp and 1/2 lbs of sausage. It came with two corns and two potatoes. My meal was the bomb dot com!!! They have the best seafood boil flavor in my opinion. I've tried Legin's and Seafood Sensations. They were ok but don't compare to this place's flavor as I've ordered take out from Juicy Seafood three times. My favorite compliment of the meal is that they actually clean and devein the shrimp!! So when I'm read to eat, I just have peel the shell and the legs. The shrimp was very juicy and not overcooked. The hot house sauce that I requested was mouth watering and delicious. There was plenty of sausage cut up into pieces for the meal. The meal featured below was only $18! What a steal! Yes please come to this people if you enjoy seafood boils. If you order take out, just call ahead so that it is ready when you pick it up. Lastly, they place gloves and an apron in your bag. So thoughtful! My only suggestion is that if someone orders more than one seafood boil, I'd put an extra set of gloves and aprons per order.

Ornella S.

Yelp
This place is one of the best seafood places around town. Food: the ingredients in the juicy sauce are superb. Service: there's only one server for an entire row. On several occasions and visits, our server would forget stuffs (straws, forks, lemons, etc..) - the service is in the details and he seemed overwhelmed that he would forget things we asked. Environment: this place is a true gem. The walls are unique - they're covered with signatures. You can autograph your name or write something special on the walls if you'd like. Overall would recommend.

AmberGlow M.

Yelp
The food was very good, but the waiter was very dry.. not with just us with every Paying customer ... so I didn't take offense but sure could use some soft skills.‍ still left a nice tip maybe this was not the best day for her. Side note: So I didn't shake my bag until after the picture, it was actually nicely seasoned.

Sunshine D.

Yelp
I brought my neice in because she loves crab legs ... our bag of seafood was completely covered in garlic from a jar- not good! I personally have a hate-hate relationship with garlic from a can or a jar and I can taste it right away. Either use fresh garlic or don't use it at all. Seemed very pricey for what we got. When I asked what was the cashiers favorite items she replied, " oh, I hate all seafood" she also had no idea where the seafood came from. Ummm ok.

Shawna W.

Yelp
I think this might be the best seafood I've had in Nashville. I got the crab, shrimp, sausage, and potatoes/veggies with garlic butter and medium Cajun spices and it was delicious.. tasted like a place I used to go when I lived near Tybee island. I will definitely be going back!! They're also very clean and keep the amount of contact to a minimum with a to-go window inside the first set of doors.

Van T.

Yelp
When you want fast and easy access to my fave crab trifecta: King, Dungeness and Blue crab (which is hard to find around these neck of the woods), this is it. They do flavored butter sauces and seasonings but I just do plain. Prices are reasonable. I've only done delivery or pickup and it's always been fast and packaged well and double bagged.

Sharon W.

Yelp
Nice little restaurant! We each tried selection E, boil bag of shrimp, snow crab, lobster tail, corn, & potatoes, with Cajun seasoning, medium spicy heat. Delicious! Fresh seafood, piping hot, we were served in no time at all. Yes, it's quite messy, but most tasty meals are!

Bobbie R.

Yelp
First, keep in mind this place is 2 doors down from Save A Lot. My friends took me there for my Birthday. We went with high hope's. The food was fair. Great onion rings, and good size of order. Sweet potato fries very good. Service not best I've had. We asked if they had unsweet tea. Yes they do. Any sweet and low. No they don't. The smart business thing to do,walk next door and buy some. Which we suggested but they did not do. I couldn't believe how dance she was. Next few days we had a running joke. You have any sweet and low.

Veyonka O.

Yelp
I was a little weary of trying this place because of the reviews but I'm glad I tried it. I got the E combo which included a lobster tail, shrimp, snow crab, corn , and potatoes. The food was very well seasoned contrary to other reviews. My money was well spent. I had food left for later. My server Quisha was great and I liked the overall feel of the place. I like how they supply you with all the necessities to throw down. Only suggestion is maybe change up the combos a little to include some fried options.

Mdoc 1.

Yelp
They just opened 6-7-2019. I was well pleased with the food. Atmosphere is family friendly. Staff are very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend.

Preston B.

Yelp
The best seafood I've ever eaten!!! Great service, nice atmosphere and we had a great time with family! They give you everything that you need to get the greatest enjoyment in your dining experience. Not for dainty diners, but the food is just soooooo good!!! Check it out!

Eric P.

Yelp
What an excellent addition to the Nashville seafood restaurant scene. The interior design reminds one of a typical Florida seafood house with the ship's rope wrapped wood support pillars, nets, fishing gear, etc., I was hooked before I even ordered. One of the owners, Michele came right up to the door to warmly greet me and take me to a nice spacious booth. Next the Chef came out and went over their menu. I asked him to select my supper for me and his choice was the delicious one pound steamed shrimp with juicy corn on the cob and perfectly cooked red potatoes. This is a must try for everyone and will be my only choice for seafood from now on.

Ryan J.

Yelp
This place was a great little gem tucked away in a little strip mall. They have a lot of selections for seafood and it's very reasonably priced. The hush puppies were awesome and shrimp were huge! If you're lucky enough to get Boe as a server, listen to her as she knows the good stuff and knows the right seasoning selections.

Shari G.

Yelp
Really Good Food. Nice Staff!! Went for my Birthday but my daughter was running late due to an interview. They allowed us to wait for her to order. She got the job BTW

Vernon L.

Yelp
Good food at a good price. And great service. We went with deep fried. But the boiled looked great too.

Charles H.

Yelp
The server was top notch, helped out with the menu and took the time to make sure everything was okay.

Mary S.

Yelp
I got the fried shrimp and oysters and they were wonderful. My only problem was the UberEats delivery. They did multiple stops and my food was ice cold by the time I got it. It warmed up fine though andI was please with the flavor of the food.

Denise B.

Yelp
Omg fast fast fast and did I forget fresh I love this place food correct every time and they give you a good amount of food don't rip u off

Lisa B.

Yelp
Flew in for a work trip and had this delivered to my hotel room haha best crab boil ever!! Crave it all the time. A must when I'm back in the area!

Ruby P.

Yelp
What an awesome experience, fun and best quality seafood. Very tasty, exceptional service. Highly recommend.

Danielle R.

Yelp
I was skeptical at first because of the reviews and I've heard Storming Crab was better. Well, I've been to the Storming Crab and after coming here today I'd rather go here every time. My food was so delicious, and the sauce was literally finger licking good. I ordered the green mussels and blue crab -so yum!

Stephen H.

Yelp
First time trying this place. I thought it was delicious. Got the crab and shrimp boil, added sausage as well. Went with all three flavors and asked for extra, it was sooo good.

Madison S.

Yelp
The food never disappoints and I've never had a bad meal here. I love ordering online and picking up, as well as indoor dining. Absolutely delicious sauce too!!

Lucy J.

Yelp
Went here for a early evening meal and ordered the one pound shrimp boiled bags for each of us. My husband had the Hot level (not the Very Hot, the highest) with all the different Juicy Seafood spices on it and loved it. I also had 1/2 pound of black mussels and got the "No spicy" heat level with with Garlic & Butter spices and loved it. Both our bags came out with 2-3 potatoes and corn cobs included. Let me just say that we've eaten at several of these "seafood in a bag" places and this one is my top picks because the food was tasty AND the cost was about 20-30% cheaper than any of the other places we've been too. And, they deveined the headless shrimp making them soooooo much easier to peel and eat. Too bad they don't have one in Ft. Worth. Great place! Try it out!
