Jules Design Bar is a local gem, and its name perfectly reflects what makes it special—the design. Every corner of the space is thoughtfully curated, with carefully placed details that make the entire bar feel polished and complete. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, almost as if everyone here knows each other, even though we didn’t recognize a single person. It has that rare mix of intimacy and openness that makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The drink selection is excellent, with a strong focus on whiskey. The bartenders are constantly crafting unique cocktails, paying close attention to detail. While there’s no real food menu, they do offer small snacks like chips and chocolates, which fits the concept—it’s a true bar, not a place to come for a meal. Live music was scheduled for the night, though we didn’t stay long enough to hear it. Still, the overall vibe of the place made an impression. We had been meaning to visit for a while, and now that we finally did, I know we’ll be coming back. Highly recommended for locals and anyone looking for a stylish yet laid-back bar with great drinks and a welcoming crowd.

I love this place! I’ve brought home some wonderful art, but also what a great place to hang out. Thank you Jules and co, for creating such an awesome atmosphere and for bringing art to life or should I say, to my life. Love love, MK

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend. It what a pleasant surprise and unique experience. We met the very nice and personable owner Jules. Great concept and will return. Check it out.

This quaint little place is unlike any bar I have seen ! They offer high end whiskey and wines . I did not drink here but the Cocktails looked amazing and while you sip on these amazing creative drinks , browse their cute knick knacks. I would definitely visit again . One of those hidden gems you stumble across on vacation . Only thing is I did not see the bartender wearing a mask :(

We were here Saturday. The pictures of the drinks and descriptions looked interesting. We got there and there were two tables and three customers total. We sat the bar and waited for somebody to come up. We looked at the menu. Discussed what might be good. What looked interesting. The weather. When the bartender would bother. We sat and we sat at the bar. Nobody. She was leaning on somebody’s table babbling about her this and her that while we waited a good 10 or more minutes to even be addressed. She saw us. Looked our way and just kept babbling on. Finally we lost the will to stay any longer. I’m really glad I didn’t spend any money there. It would’ve been a let down no matter what at that point. Obviously we don’t recommend and won’t be back.

I love this spot for cocktails! Beautiful glassware and the fact that you can shop while you hang out is the best!

What a nice surprise to find this long and slender, cool, unusual and slightly mystical little bar with artwork everywhere, crystal chandeliers and hand-crafted cocktails by two warm and friendly bartenders. I saw Brian Andrew Lee perform last night and he was amazing and made the vibe even cooler. I will definitely be returning to enjoy a mellow evening in a comfy place with excellent drinks and music.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! With out a doubt, Jules the owner took advantage of us; price gouging us on our drinks. Do you think $32 for a Casamigos & soda single is acceptable? …not even in Miami, New York or Paris would you be charged this much for this drink. I hate to leave a 1 star review for a small business, but we whole heartedly felt ripped off, expressed our frustration and the owner did nothing to explain. After reading other reviews, it’s clear patrons feel the same. The decor & location is no excuse for price gouging customers. We’ll never go back and never recommend this place to anyone.

Great find in Bee Cave. It's located in the galleria. It was very homely, and there were so many locals that you could tell come here weekly. It's an interior design shop that consults for interior design, but so cool that they also serve cocktails! The bartenders are very knowledgeable and great mixologists. My favorite drink was the Mint Julep which great classic old fashioned cocktail with a splash of mint. The bar itself was well decorated and my favorite part was the live music. We went on a Saturday night and Brian Andrew Lee was playing! He had such a great voice.

My first time in and I absolutely love this place! I've had a good time not only shopping but enjoying meeting Simon and having some beautifully made cocktails. Simon is awesome and so welcoming. I can't wait to come back

Such a beautiful and quant lounge! Had great conversations with other people dining and the bartender was attentive and very nice! The owner was there and she was very nice as well, we will be back soon!

12/20/2020 This is at the galleria. Based on drinks and ambiance for the "bar" area- at a boutique store - 5 stars. Drinks are very good, strong, full of flavor, served in high end glasses. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. There is more seating than expected with each table having a sanitizing station. We would come back with friends here although it is not a typical bar. Still, the ambiance and vibe is unique and they can make great cocktails. They also serve wine and wine by the bottle.

Nice place cool vibe and music on occasion. Seen more plastic surgery than I had for a while in the crowd of "I'm not done yet". The only reason for one star short is the prices. I know it's galleria and an upscale shop, but 15 for a glass of what we get it H‑E‑B for 9 per bottle is a bit much. Craft drinks are nice but way pricey for bee cave .

Love the concept of this bar! Almost all of the decor is for sale and the owner has a great eye for beautiful pieces of art and furniture. The drinks are dangerous - delicious, easy to drink, and easy to order. I look forward to coming back for one their e events that they host regularly. I would not recommend bringing children here, while that seems like a "duh" tip--this really isn't the space a kid can play. It is a wonderful spot for a girls night out though! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic - excellent service, great drinks and live music! Their house Manhattan was delicious and there's indoor and outdoor seating to boot. Very easygoing vibes too.

I loved this place when I came to visit my friend in Austin from LA it was a treat on my last day. Hope to visit again.

JDB is darling. Cozy fun vibe and the bartenders are truly skilled mixologist. Came here for a HH and had a wonderful time.

Nice place. Great drinks and service that cares. Small quaint place. I discovered it by walking by it. Not sure if the shopping theme will keep them in business very long with increasing rent rates but hope they do. They get an A+ for events or entertainer options.

New bar in the area so I decided to take a walk on the wild side and found the coolest "secret" Jules Design bar. Beautifully decorated reason why is more or less a design creative paintings, chandeliers and art everywhere. A truly sexy bar. Nice people and beyond artistic barware. Relaxed atmosphere even has design classes starting in April this month. Cozy with nice lounging sofas throughout the bar what caught my eye was the colors that blended very well as though it was done with perfected color transformation for your eyes to catch the glimse of bright colors. Crafted so well, ok by now the the bar drinks are pretty well done. Now to be clear the bar drinks are pricy but worth it for the reason it seems so New York style ambiance. I will return and enjoy the company of musicans and people that are friendly and just wonderful. You will enjoy how perfect the place is and a must try once ....cant wait to return and have a great time. Time to party!

We found this gem of a place last night and I'm in love! I have walked almost right by this place 100 times and had no idea it was a bar until my friend told me. What a neat place with great drinks and service! Please tell your friends about it so it Sticks around!!!

Nice place. I like walking around to see what new items they have then getting a drink. I haven't bought anything but drinks here. It is hit or miss if they will have everything on their wine list. Why have a paper menu? Maybe a chalk board? Drinks are tasty but high. I tend to stick to the wine as I don't see the value in the mix drinks. Ashley is very friendly. Kelly still learning? People that go tend to be friendly and the 40s and up crowd. Wish happy hour was longer as some of us do have jobs. Glad it is here. Hope it last.

Really clever concept in this cute space next to the Gingerman. It's an inviting store that offers home decor, bar ware and also has a craft cocktail bar that mixes up a tasty Old Fashioned served in a cut crystal glass with a large, single cube to not water down the drink. It's the little things and this is a sweet little spot to bring a magazine and sip a concoction and wander around and look at the pretty things. And of course pick up a new throw pillow you don't need, but life is short. Drink up and decorate.

Love this place!! Super funky lounge bar with a great crowd and awesome cocktails!! I always love taking my out of town guest here just to chill and listen to some live music and shop as well. Lots of fun stuff to look at!!

This place is absolutely fantastic. There is no shortage of items to spark conversation, and endearing staff behind the bar. Truly a gem of Bee Cave.

This bar is so cool!!!!! Loved the vibe so much. Live music going on, super cool seating areas (indoor and outdoor), excellent drinks (specializing in old fashioneds), lots of cool items in the shop. The only downside is it's SUPERRRRR pricey. I would totally come back but wouldn't frequent due to $$$.

New favorite place to drink in Bee Cave. Great mix of people. Nothing in this part of town compares. Period.

I love this place. Kelly is the best. The atmosphere is on point. And most of all, this is the best Old Fashion I've had all week.

Wonderful variety of bourbons and whiskeys to choose from, along with quite an interesting atmosphere. I love sitting on the comfy couches with friends, and being able to get up and roam around, looking at all the things that are available for purchase.

Omg...an amazing experience that just unfolded without effort. I stopped by to visit my friend Jules and met the most amazing people with the greatest intentions. Julie is an absolute expert with experience, Architecture and design. Yes this is a bar, but that's secondary ...people come here for the connection to art, emotion and intention. This is an absolute treasure if you contribute yourself to the experience!

Couldn't get these people to wait on us for the life of me. So we never got to try the drinks, or buy the decor we picked out. Both seemed overpriced anyway. The place wasn't very busy, and the woman who owns it was just chit chatting away with her one other customer. She didn't seem to want our business. Won't be back.

I went with my wife and friends recently and the Asperol Spritz Drinks were the best I ever had. Even better than the ones I have at home, in Switzerland. My friends had Prosecco drinks, and they were also great. Good ambiance. Will come back soon.

I happened upon this place. Big + for the live music. Shelley Mac has a beautiful voice and sang Sting Bob Marley, Linda Ronstadt and Sting, all you could sing along to. Cocktails seemed pricey but a decent Sauvignon Blanc was reasonable. Wish they had cheese and/or charcuterie, got hungry and had to leave. Interesting retail, but seemed pricey.

I have to say I'm surprised at the number of 4-5 star reviews. This is a VERY beautiful space and a great showroom for the furniture and home decor items that they sell but I would consider this a "pseudo bar". It looks like a bar and tries to function as a bar, and sells itself as swanky "New York" style bar but falls terribly short. As far as prices, they are probably the most expensive I've seen in Austin and I've been to all the best. They don't know their craft, but sell themselves as a craft cocktail bar, so really what are you paying for?? I ordered a Negroni, a very simple cocktail for a seasoned bartender (heck ANY bartender), and they looked at me like I was crazy and said "what's that? I don't know what that is." then they huddled together asking one another what it was. No one knew! One of them had heard of it but didn't know what was in it or how to make it. All it is is 1 part Gin, 1 part Campari, and 1 part sweet vermouth, served in an old fashioned glass over ice with an orange twist. EASY. They said " we don't know how to make it so you'll have to walk us through it". So I did. They place it in front of me and it's not gin. It's tequila (never mentioned tequila, I said the ingredients several times) so gross. They re-made it correctly after I pointed it out and they finally got it right. Now don't get me wrong, I appreciated their willingness to accommodate my order (only reason for that extra star) but if they didn't know how to make it they should've just said that they didn't make cocktails that weren't on their menu to have avoided this embarrassing display. Next shocker was the bill. $18 for one drink (more than any other craft cocktail on their menu by far) that would run $14 max at the most expensive bars in Austin. If it were me, and a customer had to teach me how to make a cocktail (that I should know since I am playing bartender) I wouldn't have the nerve to charge them that much. It's just basic customer service. My suggestion is to get REAL mixologists (or at least 1 to teach the others) or take some classes so that doesn't happen again, and to justify the exorbitantly high prices. If your looking for a true cocktail bar, skip this place and go to The League or Buenos Aires Cafe. Not as pretty, but They know their stuff and won't charge you an arm and a leg. If you're just looking for good ambiance, shopping for some unique home decor and esthetically pleasing surroundings then this is your place. Just stick to wine.

Worst place ever with ZERO customer service! Don't waste your money or time. They really don't want your business.

I went to an event at this bar, ( a friends birthday party) What a place! We got to meet the owner Jules, and she is the nicest person. We did have to go up to the bar to grab our own drinks but other then that I loves this place. The bartender was great and the music was on point. This is a must place to go if you are looking for a great girls night out.
