Everything Is for Sale at New Austin Interior Design Store and Bar - Eater Austin
"Jules Design Bar, a combination interior design store and bar, is now open in the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave. It opened in December at 12700 Hill Country Boulevard. The bar at Jules is a lounge that specializes in wines and whiskeys (though there is a full bar). On the drink menu are creations like a Waterloo Fashioned (Waterloo gin, St. Germain, orange bitters, Richard’s Sparkling Rainwater) and the Austin Old Fashioned (Texas whiskey, Peychaud bitters, and rosemary-infused simple syrup). There’s also a small “sticks and picks” food menu of items like pickle wraps, salad sticks, and Rumchata cheesecake bites. Given that it’s also an interior design store, everything is for sale, from the lighting to the furniture to the bar glasses. Owner Julie Smith, who has previously owned furniture stores, was drawn to the space and came up with the concept of a retail shop by day and bar by night. She also plans to offer workshops and host events in the space. Jules Design Bar is open approximately 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday." - Erin Russell
