3 Best Day Trips from San Diego | Condé Nast Traveler

"Like pizza in New York or cheesesteaks in Philly , everyone has their own favorite apple pie in the historic mining town of Julian, CA, but Julian Pie Company is a sure bet if you're popping into town for the day. You can taste the apple pie in different forms: original, no added sugar, apple with cherries, apple with peaches, apple with mixed berries, and the list goes on. Apple-haters can dig into peach, blackberry, and other options. Opt for a crumb-packed crust if you prefer your pie on the sweeter, more buttery side. There's real tradition here: Julian Pie Company is a family-owned business, slinging pies for more than 30 years (they also own a nearby apple orchard that's 17,000 trees strong)." - Archana Ram

15 Essential San Diego Pie Shops and Purveyors | Eater San Diego

"While there’s no official Julian Co. Pie shop in San Diego it would be remiss not to mention the iconic SoCal company, whose whole pie creations can be found at local stores like Siesel’s, Just Peachy and Cardiff Seaside Market. Fillings include several variations of apple from classic to Dutch, plus fruits like boysenberry, cherry and rhubarb, of which sugar free versions are also available." - darlene-horn

We had some mid-morning pie - I got the dutch apple with vanilla ice cream and my wife got the traditional apple. Great pie and service was fast - you have to order at the desk and they call out your number pretty quick. It was freezing cold, and we snagged an inside table. Overall, great pie, great place.....but what's with the bathroom issue in Julian? Every place has a "no public restroom" sign and even this place, which has seating (inside and out) for about 75 people had a single bathroom (for paying customers) - there was a line of about 5 people deep at all times. There is one public bathroom in all of Julian behind the town hall building - 3 entire stalls

Google
I went to the location to pick up a Dutch apple pie. I was so happy with how it tasted. The quality of the apples, the crust, and the topping is amazing. I love all the flavors that they have for options. I can’t wait to go back.

Google
This tiny shop is absolutely amazing. I am addicted to the pie, and I've only had it twice during my visit there. It's so delicious that we decided for my 14-year sober anniversary that we're going to order one and have it shipped to us in Orange County, ca. The staff that were helping us were so polite, and they took the time to answer all of our pie questions.

Google
Good pie and donuts. We went in the afternoon and not much street parking left, came back the next morning and found better parking and lots of tables outside and no line to order. Come early. We brought home the Mountain Berry Crumb Pie, so good!

Google
Delicious freshly baked fruit pies, variety of hot and cold beverages, homely feel, indoor and outdoor seating. Pies by slice - vanilla or cinnamon ice cream - or as a whole, here and to go. Make sure you also visit the bookstore across the street, reading a book outdoor while enjoying your apple pie and coffee is a true treat.

Google
I’m not a huge pie person but damn that’s a good pie. All their apples are good and I also like the boysenberry one. So so so tasty. Make sure to bring a freezer bag or cooler if you want I take them home. These come frozen and unbaked. They have an outdoor seating so it’s dog friendly too!

Google
This is an excellent place to stop at! We took a ride up on the Harley from San Diego, and it was a beautiful route! Julian has that small town charm, and this pie shop is truly amazing! I ordered the Mountain Berry Apple, and my wife got the Original Apple (a la mode, of course). They have a really nice patio/yard to enjoy your delicious slice of pie, and we paired it with Americanos. 10/10! We can't wait to come back!

Google
This place is really small, but cozy. There's 5 tables inside and plenty of outdoor seating available as well. The line goes really quick, which is nice! You definitely have to try the pie while you're here. Food and drink review: Poor man's mocha: Tastes exactly like its ingredients! Pretty good and perfect for a cold day. Cinnamon cider donut: This was yummy! Perfect little bite size. Peach apple pie: It has a nice subtle peach taste. The flavors blended well together and so tasty warmed up. Caramel apple Dutch with side of cinnamon ice cream: 1 was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the ice cream was! The pie is perfect. It's definitely on the sweeter side so you can share a slice!

Yelp
Make sure to get there early or the selection of pies will dwindle as they only make enough pies for each day. We got there around 3:30 and had a 10 minute wait but by the time we left the line was out the door and I'm guessing they will wait at least half an hour for a slice of pie. And it would still be worth it. The size of pie slice was perfect and the scoop of ice cream was extra big. Loved the outdoor seating area under the trees.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
Really good pie place. The staff there was nice and there wasn't too much of a wait when I went (10 am). This place does get busy though. There is a lot of seating outside and some seating inside. You can order by the slice or by a whole pie.
google avatar

Yelp
Hack to stop by here while his passing through Julian after hearing that they are famous for their apple pies. I can totally see the hype! A very cute place on the outside and quick service as well. Really love the portion size of all the pies here and pretty much everything that was there on the menu. There was a display of the items that they had available for the day and everything looked really appetizing. The cookies were really large and those cinnamon rolls were unbelievable! I saw someone who ordered the cinnamon rolls and it actually looked so soft and fluffy and delicious! We got the all-natural apple pie to try a version without sugar added. And it was honestly a little tart for some reason. I thought they would have maybe put some monk fruit or others alternative sweeteners but maybe they're just avoided any sweetener. Or maybe the pie was meant to be tart, I'm not too sure about that. Also tried the Dutch Apple Pie and this was phenomenal! That crumb topping on top really seals the deal! A properly nice sweet pie with a flaky crust and that perfect crunchy topping on top. Definitely recommend! Sister-in-law also tried the hot chocolate and she finished it really quick so I'm guessing it was good!

Yelp
Of course we had to get some pie while we were in Julian and where else than the Julian Pie Company! We ordered at the counter and our number was called within a minute or two, so even if there is a big line, I would still recommend. We sat outside on their large patio, but they do have a small area indoors with seating. It is a cute little shop to grab a sweet treat! We ordered a slice of the boysenberry apple and the caramel Dutch apple and both were delicious, but I preferred the apple. We got the vanilla ice cream on the side and also a cider donut!
google avatar

Yelp
Great apple pie, you can take home a cooked one or you can take home a frozen one and cook it when you get home delicious pies
google avatar

Yelp
One might ask themself, is $27.95 too much to pay fir a pie? My answer is if you come to Julian Pie Company, no. The pies are heavy, filled with fruity goodness and a perfect crust. We used the Whole Pie Express window to get two pies to take home The young lady who helped us was very nice. We got a Strawberru Rhubarb and a Boysenberry Apple Crumb. They are delightful! As others mentioned there is a nice outdoor seating area. The line to get inside was long. No one seemed to mind. Definitely worth the drive to get there.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful scenery and location, delicious pie, the friendliest employees. Joe has to be one of the kindest and coolest guy around here, he gave great recommendations and informative info on the different pies. He helped me decide on their Dutch pie with cinnamon ice cream. It was delicious. Nothing against Mom's pies, but these guys are at least as good, with a little extra friendliness and authentic people that like what they do.
google avatar

Yelp
This pie was everything you want in a perfect slice--flaky, buttery crust and a filling that tasted homemade and full of love. Not too sweet, just right. Whether you go for apple, pecan, or cherry, you can taste the care in every bite. Definitely a slice of comfort.
google avatar

Yelp
The ambiance in this city is super chill but when you enter, you're greeted with an amazing playlist of music setting the tone. The outdoor area has plenty of seats and is very clean, also kid and pet friendly!! Okay now the pies, by no means do I like pie because of its texture and sweetness. But this has made this pie enemy, into a pie enthusiast. I didnt know that pies could taste like this. Not too sweet, the crumble on top is perfection, and the ice cream (both vanilla and cinnamon) complimented the pie. The cinnamon was very mild and not overpowering at all.
google avatar

Leeza D.

Yelp
Julian is apple country and the Julian Pie company fully uses the abundance to make a wonderful selection of pies. The line was long when we came and instead of opting to get individual pies ala mode, we ended up getting whole pies. I would have loved to try the ice cream, maybe one day. They pies were good but not great. I was surprised there was not as much fruit as I was anticipated. A lot more of the gooeyness than pieces of fruit. It was also sweeter than I expected. Overall great experience. There is a separate line for whole pies, which was shorter than the main line. Casual with outdoor seating. Please come and create your own experience.

Yelp
Yum! Really yummy pie and worth the wait. If you get your pie for "here", they warm it up for you. 10/10 with vanilla (or cinnamon) ice cream on top. They even give you a small straw to sip up the melted ice cream! You can get other baked goods such as apple loaves, or cookies. The hot cider was perfect for the cold day. The line will be long... especially on the weekend. Worth it! You can either wait in the longer line to see the whole menu, or walk up and order a whole pie in the other line. The have a cold case with pies to grab and go. They have a large patio in the back for seating as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything about this establishment is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly. The store is super clean. And most important the pie is amazingly delicious. I am addicted and want to drive from Huntington Beach all the way back just to have some pie again. I highly recommend this place for some extremely delicious pie.
google avatar

Yelp
Julian Pie Company is everything you were dreaming of AND MORE when you first heard the rumors about the best pie place around! Their delicious pie is a testament to the shop's longevity and original taste located in the heart of the historic mining town of Julian. You have options of various fruit pies that are either fresh, take-and-bake or slices with ice cream on top! Don't pass up on that Dutch apple pie though! Great lounging patio with a bench swing to just chill and enjoy your pie. Wonderful accommodating service. I 100% recommend this business

Yelp
I am obsessed with the Pumpkin Apple Pie to the point my friend and I drive to Julian every year for it and we always bring a whole pie home and share a slice before we leave. This time, we also tried pecan which I loved so brought a pumpkin pie home for the family. I'm not even a pie person but these ones I make a whole trip for!

Yelp
It is amazing that you can order this wonderful pie and have it delivered and it tastes as fresh as the Resturants bakeries in town . We loved the amount of time it took to deliver . Eating at home isn't as special as in cute Julian home town flair ! But it is still awesome
google avatar

Yelp
We go to Julian as a day trip just to get the apple pie and to get hard cider. The people here are always friendly and patient even though they are constantly very busy. During peak tourist months (Summer & Spring) there is a line out the door and it can get quite loud. It is nice to go during the off season during the winter months. There is limited seating inside and some outdoor seating. They have one toilet to your left as you enter. The menu does not seem to have changed for years. We like the Dutch apple and Dutch apple with caramel the best. The caramel one only really tastes good with vanilla ice cream but is very good with it as it cuts the sweetness. They sell slices, whole ready made pies, and I believe frozen. We definitely recommend getting a slice with vanilla ice cream while there and getting a pie to go. They do not recommend refrigerating any pies you buy but rather eat them within a week. Refrigeration makes them soggy. Definitely worth a day trip whether you are a tourist or a local. There are places to stay in Julian, but we think a day trip is best for this location. Restaurants along the way are better than in Julian and just eating pie can be your meal!
google avatar

Vera L.

Yelp
Made w drive/cruise up to Julian to try the pies here. It really is good as what people rave about. There's a separate line for whole pies and single slices both have long lines so come early! We tried the pumpkin apple crumb, boysenberry apple crumb, and peach apple crumb. All with cinnamon ice cream on top. Though I did see most ppl opted for the Vanilla icecream but the cinnamon was delicious with the pie! My favorite was the pumpkin apple crumb! Parking is street-only. There are plenty of seats outside, but only one restroom here so prepare to wait in line if needed!

Yelp
When I lived in San Diego, this was a place I would visit many times. Once upon a time, I was an avid Motorcycle Rider & this was a great place to stop for Pie & Cider. Now that I live in Texas, this is a place I make sure to visit when I'm in town. I love the little town of Julian, the twisty roads getting here, the friendly atmosphere, and the smell of firewood burning when it's cold. I have always received amazing service at the Julian Pie Company. Everyone is super friendly, and even when the line is out the door and down the street, the line moves quickly. I think it's the best pie around, especially paired with the hot Apple Cider.
google avatar

Yelp
Julian is a picture perfect little autumnal town straight out of a storybook with colorful fall foliage, streets littered with homey mom-and-pop shops, and the smell of baked goods wafting down the streets. It also happens to be home to the famed Julian Pie Company and their coveted pies. You can spot the long line from blocks away. It really is that popular and, in my humble opinion, quite worth it! We opted for the classic Dutch Apple Pie topped with vanilla ice cream. So good. So well done. Absolutely no notes. If you're dining there, they have tons of outdoor seating options and fun porch swings. If you're looking to do takeout and bring some home for family and friends, they offer whole frozen unbaked pies. I have my sights set on their Key Lime Pie the next time I'm there! Be sure to add a day trip to Julian to your list of fall festivities!
google avatar

Jenn R.

Yelp
The foodie sidekick picked up a Dutch apple pie and found ourselves cutting through this thing over the course of 4-5 days. Loved the crumbly crust with sweet and slightly tangy apples! We bought some vanilla bean ice cream to go with our pie and it just felt so cozy. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely a place to drop by and get your pie fix.
google avatar

Katrina D.

Yelp
A must have in julian!! I got dutch apple pie and LOVE the crumbly top on this flavor. I also got ice cream on top, but this time the ice cream was a bit too much for me. Usually they only give 1 scoop but they have 2 scoops this time. I also tried to order the apple cider donut holes, but they were sold out on a Saturday at like 11am!! So if you want them, get there early. I got the cinnamon sugar and maple glazed full sized donuts instead. They were pretty good but a typical donut in my opinion. Also, you have to try the hot apple cider with caramel !! It goes perfect with the cold ice cream on the pie and makes the whole dessert so warm and cozy.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
I have always wanted to come to Julian to try some good o pie. Not just any pie but for the pies in Julian Pie Co. I was finally able to make my way over here on a beautiful Saturday. We waited in line and everything smelled delicious. I order a Dutch apple pie slice with added vanilla ice cream and a couple of whole pies to go. When I got my pie, the ice cream scoop was the size of a pie, it did make the pie extra yummy. The service was quick and efficient. Overall, its a must stop if you're here in Julian.
google avatar

Bryan And G.

Yelp
It took us about 45 MINUTES!!! We made our annual visit to the JULIAN PIE CO. We went up there the weekend before CHRISTMAS, and early!!! We went from San Diego, directly to JULIAN. It took us about 45 MINUTES. Once we got there, parking was difficult, it took us 15 Minutes, to find a SPOT!! We nevertheless found one, very close to the Julian Pie Company. When we got there, I needed to use their restroom, WHICH WAS VERY CLEAN!!! I walked out and found my partner had moved closer to the register. Instead of joining him, I snagged an empty table inside!!! He ordered 3 WHOLE PIES; and also 2 SLICES OF PIE (one with ice cream), and also 2 apple ciders!!! We decided on the way up there to purchase a WHOLE PIE for our next door neighbor!!! We got DUTCH APPLE, the one tried. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Julian pie company, in my option, is the better of the two rival out companies in Julian. We got the Apple peach pie slice with ice cream and a cup of coffee. The line wasn't too bad, but they move quick! There's an "express" line on the outside patio for WHOLE pies only. There's plenty of outdoor seating. I usually don't like apple pies, but this one is probably the freshest and best one I have tried! The crumble on the pie is UNFORGETTABLE! That crumble stayed crunchy even with the ice cream!
google avatar

Regine A.

Yelp
Best Apple pie ever hands down. The wait can be long most times, but it is definitely worth it. My favorite pie here is the Berry crumble, but on our recent visit, they ran out. Pro tip from my mistakes, come here early! We got here right before close and they still had the Dutch apple pie. We got that with cinnamon ice cream on top. Since we ate it there, they warmed it up. Oh my gosh, I was full from our dinner prior to coming here, but i still inhaled that pie and have no regrets lol. Every bite is delicious, from the texture to the quality of ingredients, you can't go wrong. I'm not even a pie person and I love the pie here. Ambiance is also perfect. The building is nestled in the trees, very cute and quaint. I love the swinging benches, so does my daughter. We will always come back for more.

Yelp
Family vacation. Bobbing in the ocean off San Diego. Stranger floats up to me. Very surfer CA accent. Haha. Immediately suggests we take the family to Julian Pie company on our drive back home. Very random. Funny. Cool dude though so we took the longer way home and hit it up and it was FANtastic. Super, super good. So, let me, in the style of my bodacious friend, recommend you stop at this gem of a place for an apple pie worthy of a detour.
google avatar

Denise V.

Yelp
Friendly service. Lots of outdoor tables to enjoy your slices. Best sellers are the Dutch Apple and Apple Mountain Berry (has a mix of raspberries, strawberries, boysenberries, and Granny Smith apples). Recommend cinnamon ice cream with any of the apple pies. Vanilla ice cream for the others. I love the crunch you get from the crumb on the Dutch Apple. Not cloyingly sweet and great crust. Natural apple is a good choice if you don't want something too sweet. We also really enjoyed the Apple Mountain Berry. The flavors are more tart and juicy.
google avatar

Taryn I.

Yelp
We had a great time at Julian pie co! There was a long line outside but we chatted and met some super cute dogs so time passed quickly. They also have a separate area if you want to buy a frozen pie. We all ended up getting different pies. Apple peach, apple crumble, apple boysenberry, and mountain berry and apple pies as well as some apple cider. The crust was nice and flakey and the crumb was nice and sweet. The apple parts of the pies didn't have as much flavor as we are used to being from the east coast. One of our favorite parts was trying the pie with cheddar cheese! Such a fun add on.
google avatar

Haley S.

Yelp
My favorite pie and being up in Julian to get it was cool the pie shop is really big and it's neat watching things get made
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
I heard this place was pretty famous so I made the 2 hour journey with friends to try it out. 30+ minute wait in line but at least it was in the shade. They have another location in Saint Ysabel that has no line so I recommend that if you're in a rush. I had a good time talking to people and some came all the way from LA! Lots of parking everywhere. Plenty of outdoor seating and about 4 booths inside. Best to have someone grab one while you're in line. They also have a separate building for just to-go pies if you don't want to wait in line for slices and ice cream. Small bathroom inside as well. We had one of almost every pie flavor and the original dutch apple was the best. It's very rich so one slice is all you need to be in a food coma. Ice cream and whip cream were fresh and delicious as well with generous sizings. I recommend going early because lots of flavors were sold out by 3pm and there were no more doughnut holes. I even got the last seasonal pumpkin apple pie to-go. Definitely fun if you're in the area to try once.
google avatar

Robbie S.

Yelp
It was busy, great, and definitely a staple. 10/10 recommend waiting in line and grabbing a slice. You won't regret it
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Yum apple crumble pie! Yum! Need to take one home EVERYTIME! Yum apple crumble pie! Yum! Need to take one home EVERYTIME!
google avatar

Devyn M.

Yelp
You can not come to Julian, without stopping at Julian Pie Company! We ordered the Dutch Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream, and it was delectable! You can purchase whole pies to bake at home, slice of pies, and other pastries. Don't be wary by the long lines as there is seating outside available for customers. Definitely a must when in this cute city.
google avatar

Christian K.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time and it's been saved on my list of places to visit. I am so glad that I was able to visit and to see if the apple pies are worth the hype. I want to first start off and say that this town is so cute and absolutely scenic with the natural land and all of its greenery. I ordered three different apple pies to go which were the original slice, Dutch apple, and the peaches apple pies. I also ordered the apple cider pint on the side and my mom ordered the apple nut bread to go. I think the Dutch apple pie is a strong recommendation because of the crumble on top and the edge pieces are literal to die for. For how busy the business was, the service was exceptional and the young gentleman that was helping was absolutely spectacular. If you're considering going and trying this place out, you absolutely have to because it was worth the hype and definitely worth the long trip that I had to travel to. 10 out of 10 stars for sure
google avatar

Carlan M.

Yelp
Please believe the hype.. it's real. I got the Apple crumb pie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. I'm not a pie person but I would eat Julian pie company's pies over and over again. So yummy. So flavorful and the softest crunchiest crust ever. The serving portion was HUGE! I washed it down with a water. Pro tip: go early in the morning when there's no lines. We circled back and the line was wrapped around the corner down the street. There limited seating inside. More seating outside. Bathroom on site. Space is clean. Staff friendly

Yelp
The Julian Pie Company is a family-owned bakery known for its homemade pies. You can find their pies as markets and restaurants throughout San Diego. But when in Julian, why not visit the source. Note that there are several other pie companies in Julian, and some with different options and much better service. I found the team cold and not very helpful here. The company has been around for decades and has high popularity. The bakery offers a variety of pies, with their apple pies being the most popular. The classic pie has s a flaky crust, but the one with the crumbly topping is my favorite. They also sell pies with cherry, peach and rhubarb -- the peach being my absolute favorite. Not the peach apple -- the one has way too many apples that you have to dig around for the very few peaches inside. I don't care for that one. And it seem the peach is hard to come by, even for the take and bake options they sell. But if you call a day in advance of your visit, they'll make it for you. The Julian Pie Company has two primary locations: The original location in the historic town of Julian, which has an amazing outdoor patio with covered seating and benches; and the Santa Ysabel location nearby, offering a similar selection of pies and baked goods. You can even add ice cream, whipped cream sauce and cheddar cheese (?!) to your pie. Besides pies, the bakery also sells apple cider donuts, cookies, and other baked goods. They offer frozen pies that customers can take home and bake themselves.

Yelp
Fan of Julian Pies!! Will always be coming here to eat and buy some pies every time we come to visit Julian.
google avatar

Anne F.

Yelp
You just can't get a better apple pie. This is a mandatory stop when I'm driving through the area. Unfortunately, they aren't pet-friendly, which has made it tricky when traveling solo with my dog. Most of the time they let me grab a whole pie from the freezer with my dog in my backpack to enjoy when I return to San Diego. I have the cooler ready for it trying to get in and out quickly. That's the only negative. All their pies are amazing, ice cream is recommended. Again, I like to just take a whole pie with me because one slice is never enough and I like to savor it in private. Don't judge, these pies are an experience.
google avatar

Hailey S.

Yelp
wow... this pie changed my life!!! i've never had a pie like this!! we went and there was a line but it goes by, if you're getting a whole pie, there's a separate line inside has a couple of spots to sit, outside has much more. it's very homey and smells of delicious pie. the caramel apple crumble with vanilla ice cream was none like i've ever had. the crumble was sooo crunchy and the crust was flakey and delicious!!! the warm gooey filling with the cold vanilla was delectable. a bit sweet at times so maybe i'll just get the normal apple pie next time! their cider is also yummy, tastes like fresh squeezed apples!
google avatar

patrick m.

Yelp
This is maybe the best apple pie I've had in my entire life - even better than the pie my mom used to make. Sorry, Mom!
google avatar

Bridgette S.

Yelp
Visiting nearby for the weekend, we came to the little and I mean little town. It was a Sunday, very busy, parking was crazy busy. We had been referred to Julian Pie Company. The wait line wasn't bad, the service was good & quick. They have a large outdoor patio area, no inside seating. But it was a beautiful cool sunny day. We ordered a few slices... pecan, apple mountain berry, apple and cinnamon roll. Oh my goodness!!!!! All of it was DELICIOUS!! We ended up buying a few whole pies to take home. They have uncooked frozen pies also! Definitely recommend Julian Pie Company
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
I love the food here that everytime I come to Julian I always get something from Julian Pie Company. The service is good but the lines here are super long especially on the weekends when the line moves slow. They do have a military discount so make sure if you are a first responder or military you ask for it. They have re-done their outside area and it makes such a huge difference with the added space and enjoyment of being outside with the foresty fresh air around.
google avatar

Julia Y.

Yelp
sooOOOOOO good!!!! had the peach pie & hot apple cider w/ whipped cream. it was perfect on a chilly day at julian. This is a need not a want.

Cathrine S.

Yelp
Such an adorable shop! It's a little ways off of the Main Street, you need to cross at an intersection, but in so glad we found it! We lucked out as there was no line when we walked in, though a few minutes later, the line was out the door and around the corner. This bakery offers a wide selection of treats including muffins, cookies, donuts, pies and pastries. They also offer a few different drinks to pair with your bakery items. Service was quick and our order was ready within minutes. There was a cozy seating area inside and a spacious area outside. Stop in if you find yourself in Julian, you won't be disappointed! Try the apple cider donuts!!!

Yelp
Although the line was super long (we waited around an hour or more), the pie and cinnamon ice cream was so tasty. The shop is super cute and has news letters and articles about the history of the place. The combination of warm, sweet pie and cold, creamy ice cream is unmatched! The people around us started leaving the main line to the line where you can buy a whole pie because it was shorter and faster.

Yelp
You would think a $27 pie is made with real butter and organic avocado or olive oil. Instead you get nasty pie made with margarine, palm oil, soybean oil and you are overcharged for it! What a FRAUD! Don't waste your money! You can get same pie for $8 at any grocery stores that tastes yummy and unhealthy.

Yelp
Natural apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Order a few to take home :) What a dream! Nothing in San Diego comes close. Worth the drive and winding roads.

Yelp
Clean, inviting and cozy pie shop! Service was fast and friendly. We got chocolate frosted cider donut, chocolate chip cookies and slice of the caramel Dutch apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. Wow the pie and ice cream were amazing. Worth the drive from the LA area. Bought entire pie to bring home to family.
