A Running List of New Restaurant Openings in Nashville, 2022 | Eater Nashville

"At East Nashville’s McFerrin Park neighborhood I experienced Sean Brock’s most ambitious restaurant to date, June, where dinner is a 20-plus-course, two- to three-hour tasting divided into five 'acts'—canapés, water, land, dessert, and petit fours—and emphasizes extreme seasonality; Brock’s lab (with machines like an ultrasonic homogenizer and microwave extractor) plays a huge role in developing ingredients, and the small dining room sits above Audrey with roughly 32 seats across nine tables." - Eater Staff

Vibe was incredible and the service exceeded expectations! Food was good, but not mind blowing. Felt the dishes were pricey for what they were. Drinks were awesome; loved the ABC sour. Pasta for Rachel was fun to look at but didn’t quite hit the mark taste wise; it felt very 1 note. Highly recommend the June Brioche and the Hamachi Crudo (if they still have it!). We sat at the bar and the bartender who served us was lovely—he definitely elevated the entire experience for us. Would definitely return. We also checked out the speakeasy downstairs and thought it was worth the visit.

Was very excited to eat here. The atmosphere was very cool and the presentation of the food was quite nice. The highlights were the steak and beef tartare. The steak was super tender which was delightful to eat! I thought the pasta was interesting but not really spectacular for the price. Overall a nice experience but maybe didn't live up to the huge hype.

The decor and atmosphere at June are nice and cozy, though I found the music a little too loud at times. Service was attentive — my water glass was always full and the staff were friendly. Food-wise, there were a few standout dishes. The crab dip was delicious and paired beautifully with the Madeleines, and the mussels in wine sauce were excellent. The salad was also great, with incredibly sweet and juicy tomatoes. The fries were good, but nothing memorable. The dessert ended up being the best dish of the night. I was most excited to try the burger, but unfortunately it was underwhelming. The meat was a bit overcooked and the sauce leaned too acidic, which threw the balance off. Overall, while there were some highlights, I left feeling a bit disappointed given the higher prices and smaller portions. For me, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. There are better options such as Elio Volpe next door.

Heard of June through social media for a long time and it was very hard to reserve an appointment online as it was fully booked. My Rating : 6.5/10 The host, Alahanda, was very rude to us, from the moment we walked in to the very last min of our reservation. Our server, Natalie, was very nice and attentive. As mentioned in other reviewers’ review, our cup of water always full. The cocktail is 7/10. I would say June could do a better job at making their drinks look more cool / special. By the price of their cocktails, I would expect more from the cup design itself to be more fun comparing to the glasses of our drinks tonight, which is a water cup in other restaurants. The dishes of the food is not consistent, some dishes of our food is a regular, plain white dish without “June” Logo as other dishes. The best food we had tonight was the Chocolate Dessert. I like the crisp on the side of the dessert. Quite tasty. I personally think June could do better on their services, food, and drinks wise, and consistent.

Here’s your review cleaned up and polished while keeping your tone natural and enthusiastic: ⸻ Currently one of the best places to spend your Friday or Saturday night! The food is amazing, the décor is beautiful and chic, and the DJ is fantastic. Not to mention the hidden bar downstairs — such a cool touch! The food tastes great, and while the drinks are a bit pricey, they’re definitely worth it. I’ll definitely be back! Make sure to reserve a table before heading there on the weekend. I order the chicken and front leg was amazing !

This was my second time dining at June, and I’m genuinely impressed by their service. On my first visit, there was a small hiccup, but the team handled it with exceptional care and attention, true hospitality at its best. Shoutout to Leticia and Riley! The vibe is perfect for a date night, intimate and stylish, with excellent cocktails to match. Both times, the food was delicious. Highly recommend the tartare and bavette. The mussels are also a popular choice with great flavour. That evening’s special had hamachi crudo, it was so good we wished it were on the regular menu. And of course, the chocolate mousse is the perfect way to end the night. Definitely will be revisiting!

Went for a big birthday party and all had a great time. Starts with the very friendly door guy, and continues once seated. Sat at the big round table with the equipped table top lazy Susan (very convenient) all drinks order were great, the food service was timed perfectly with each dish arriving at the perfect time. Will be back again

Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. My friends and I had been trying to get a reservation at June for a while without success, so we decided to book a table at Lala, the bar downstairs that has more of a speakeasy vibe. The space itself. Both upstairs and downstairs—is beautifully designed, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. However, we found the food a bit underwhelming. Since the downstairs menu is more limited, we missed out on trying dishes like the pasta and mussels, which we were really looking forward to. From what we did try, the highlights were definitely the beef tartare and the frog legs, Both were delicious. On the other hand, the scallops, which came highly recommended, were a bit disappointing for us. The sweetness from the brown sugar overwhelmed the natural flavor of the scallops. Similarly, the crab dip had potential, but the madeleines it came with were too sweet and overpowered the dip. Service was also on the slower side. While we understand the bar is designed to be a more relaxed experience, we did mention that one of us had to leave by a certain time. Unfortunately, there was no adjustment, and it took about 2.5 to 3 hours for our full meal, dessert, and bill. We had initially hoped to come back for another visit to try the pasta, but after this experience, we’re unsure if we’ll return. It’s a beautiful spot, and some dishes were lovely, but overall, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Yelp
finally got a reso to check out this awesome restaurant and ironically, it coincided w/world work bestie day so ofc i came w/my foodie a - she's my wrk!bestie as well. the entrance to the restaurant is rather inconspicuous but once you step inside, you are transported to a cozy, dim jazz bar - there is a bar downstairs called lala, and you will need separate resos for them. it was a raincouver-type of day so the dim jazz vibe was def a nice change. i was a little early to my reso but was seated right away - coat check was down at my seat. a ran a little late so i got started with a cocktail - orchard hiball, which is an AMAZING drink to start your dinner with. it is basically a crossover btwn umeshu and apple juice, spiked with some fizz it in. it is definitely easy to drink and i can totally see myself getting tipsy if i had a few. a finally arrived, and we - being the prepared ones - already had a few dishes in mind but our server was very friendly and advised that everything was family-style and meant to be shared. a ordered an extra dirty gin martini that our other frd, s, would be VERY proud of (s is more of a vodka girl tho). as i said, the hiball is very smooth and easy to drink so i was basically on my 2nd drink at this point - guava batida - it came in the cutest cup and a whole lot of ice. beware, this drink is boozy and quite herbal - not for someone who is just starting to drink. i personally preferred the hiball more. as a and i are both gin gals, we each essentially got a g&t afterwards - she had the mermaid gin and i had the christian drouin le gin. i've always wanted to get the mermaid gin cuz the bottle looked so nice but...ngl, it essentially tasted like sea air/water. on other hand, christian drouin was cardamom and juniper-forward - i love juniper in my gin so it was perfect. now onto the food! for starters, we had the crab dip - the plating and presentation! i have to say that all the dishes that we had was both appealing to our palates and our eyes. the crab dip is covered in chives, with dill scattered inside along with the spiced madeleines surrounding it. there was a bit of a tang with the dip so it was the perfect starter. we then moved onto our next 2 dishes - the mussels and the crispy eggplant. the 2 dishes compliment each other as they both have the salty, spicy vibes thoroughout. the mussels - if you've had HK-style stir fried seafood, you'd know exactly what i mean with the spicy, garlic and crispy frites on the top. the fino sherry sauce adds nice richness to the dish. the crispy eggplant was just an excuse for us to add veggies into the mix - but it was deep fried...at least we tried? the butternut squash ravioli is a seasonal dish - basically the same as pasta for rachel only a bit smaller and obvsly, butternut squash filling. the dish was rich, dense but not overwhelming. the truffles on top added another flavour profile to the pasta. i called this the chocolate thing but really, that's what the menu calls it too. it is the most decadent chocolate mousse with hazelnut and a crunchy bottom - the Chantilly cream was such a nice addition to the dessert. it was such a wonderful experience and im trying to plan for my next visit!

Yelp
(4.5/5) Finally got to try the highly anticipated June on Cambie. It is required to make a reservation at this time if you'd like to dine during peak hours on the weekend. Although we came a bit early, the hostess managed to seat us at our table. The non-booth tables are quite close together so be mindful of that if you require accessibility. The restaurant is warm but dark with minimal lighting and kind of reminds me of a jazz bar - 10/10 ambiance and great for dates and celebrations. Below is also a basement bar called Lala which I hope to check out one day. Our server came by promptly and took our drink orders. I loved the Sunflower Punch - the clarified and carbonated milk punch made it refreshing while the sunflower seed and tarragon provided floral and herb notes. It's a delicious fall drink! For the appetizers, we went with the liver mousse feature and the beef tartare. Both were staple wins in my book. The mousse especially was the star of the night for me as it paired really nicely with the sliced mini grapes and rosé jelly, a true sweet and savoury dream. The crostini to pair was also soft!! This was so pleasant as opposed to harder cracker like textures that sometimes hurt my mouth to eat. Tartare flavour and texture was also perfect with enough tartness and aroma. Potato chips were an interesting choice but I wasn't mad at it. Next was the steak and my goodness it was perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious and rich brandy sauce. The fries were also fried to the most perfect brown and had wonderful texture. My only wish was that it came with a couple pieces of roasted vegetables. Pasta for Rachel was extremely buttery and rich which was fun for my tastebuds, but not for my weak stomach. Finally, we were hesitant to order dessert but the server highly recommended the chocolate. While the presentation was simple, I was blown away by the texture and taste! The dessert essentially reminded me of a very classy chocolate mousse with something crunchy at the bottom paired with condensed milk and cream. Definitely a must order if you like chocolate. Overall the night was seamless and wonderful. I found the prices for the appetizers and mains to be fair as well. I would definitely love to return!

Yelp
Came for birthday drinks on Friday evening, 8pm. It was packed! The dining room was full with patrons waiting in the foyer. Luckily, I made reservations online and we were immediately taken downstairs to the basement bar. We ordered cocktails, a beer and fries. Pros: - Service is excellent, by far the best - Cocktails are well balanced and creative - Seating is super comfortable and plush - Vibes: DJ live spin vinyl records later in the evening Notes: - Next time, would be down to try the late night hour menu for drink and snack deals. - Free parking in the residential streets past Cambie St.

Yelp
We celebrated my birthday at June tonight. Our reservation was at 5:45pm, and we arrived 13 minutes early. Upon checking in at the front desk, the hostess informed us that we needed to return 10 minutes later, as it was not yet our scheduled time. Despite there being 5-6 empty tables, we were not seated. We waited for 10 minutes and checked on the status, at which point she stated that we would be seated promptly at 5:45. Once seated, we found the dining room to be quite noisy. We began with the crab dip and mussels, both of which were satisfactory but unremarkable. Our entrees consisted of the evening's features: stable fish pretty good and ribeye steak with chanterelle mushrooms delicious. Overall, I would say this new restaurant is likely overhyped.

Yelp
3.5/5! I thought it was hard to see inside the restaurant, but the atmosphere was nice. The girl who greeted us at the door and took us to our table was also very kind and allowed us to choose a different spot to sit. Since I am not a big fan of alcoholic drinks, there weren't a lot of options as this is a bar (understandably). I was hoping for there to be more fruit based mocktails, but they all seemed to have some sort of "spiced" element. I ended up getting a Spicy Daisy and I thought that it was interesting as it felt like there were different layers to the drink. I enjoyed the refreshing milky and calamansi side, but was thrown off by the ginger taste. The beef tartare was very well seasoned and it hid the "raw meat" taste so I did like it, though I prefer tartare served with bread. I think I would need to come back here to try their dinner menu and reevaluate!

Yelp
June on Cambie offered a dark and moody ambiance reminiscent of art deco French nouveau. The theme was evident throughout, with the staff dressed in chic uniforms. The service was prompt and attentive, and despite being at a prime serving time at 6 PM, our drinks and appetizers arrived quickly. Surprisingly, the kitchen even gave us two orders of our truffle eggs, which we didn't mind at all. However, the close proximity of the tables created a lively atmosphere, making it difficult to hear conversations. The menu offered a variety of classic French bistro dishes, including steak frites, beef tartar, prawns, oysters, and mussels. While not groundbreaking, the execution was satisfactory, not exceptional but not comparable to French cuisine. The food portions were generous enough to share, leaving us feeling satisfied. We ordered the truffle eggs, crab dip with spiced madeleines, salade Maison with dijon vinaigrette, pasta for Rachel and steak frites 8 oz, milk chocolate mousse. I would consider returning to June, but it wouldn't be my first choice. While the ambiance and interior design were pleasant, I feel there are better French options available. Ultimately, it's more about the atmosphere than the food.

Yelp
I feel like I've finally had enough time to digest my upsetting experience at June on Cambie to bring a honest review. The backstory - I've been here twice since their opening; the first time fresh within the month of their opening (pre-Lala), I had such a delightful experience, I decided to celebrate my birthday here the following month. The initial experience: 1st seating, packed, had a wonderful server (tall, slender fellow), food & drinks met and exceeded my expectations. The Drinks: ABC sour - read basic on menu, but the flavors worked so well together! Very smooth, refreshing palette, with just the right amount of punch. Blue Fizz - very sweet, muted spirit undertones, would've considered an extra shot in this one! Verdita Colada - this ones my favourite so far! The Food: June Brioche - the knob butter is really the star of the show. Solid brioche but portion size did not justify price point. Duck w/ frites & salad (seasonal, unfortunately) - this duck was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection - tender, juicy with a worcestershire-y sauce cutting right through the fattiness of the skin. This is also the dish I raved about prior to knowing it was seasonal :( Pasta for Rachel (2 attempts!) - the instagram-made-me-do-it order. I loveee fresh pasta cooked al Dante. 1st attempt, delish! A very buttery sauce base, plump little fillings, served fresh to the table. 2nd attempt, a disappointment. Served with crusty dried edges, nearly sauce free making it very bland. All neighbouring tables were served 'the IG way' with a performative table side butter service and we inquired with our server (a woman, slightly dismissive & irritated, serving a section of the back wall booths) and she clarified that the diner has to request extra butter served for the service, and swiftly left without further explanation. This is not noted on the menu, nor was it mentioned to us by our server upon ordering. Mussels - great sharing dish, portion & serve style. Very saucy and delish with the brioche soaking up the sauce. Mussels pictured from 2 visits included, both dishes look irrelevant to each other. Consistency is obviously a problem here. Halibut - regular menu item (thankful, unlike the duck breast), get the halibut for some kind of stability. Beautiful presentation, incredibly fresh halibut steak. NY Strip steak - classic steak & frites. Frog legs - not the first time having frog legs (pretty pan-Asian protein choice) served deep fried with a sweet sauce equivalent to Korean yangneom chicken, though not meaty enough. Beef tartare - housemade chips were nice, I actually liked the tartare as the drizzle of sauce toned down the gaminess of raw meats. Crab dip w/ spiced Madeline - the Madelines were solid, but the crab is occasionally too fishy to taste (1st attempt) and completely fine on another (2nd attempt). The Experience: A hit or miss? In my opinion in the scene of boutique-y dining experiences, good service anchors down the fort beyond the physical consumables. On any special occasion, like my birthday, to have bad service is literally a cherry on top for reasons to never come back - we didn't even want to bother with another round of drinks, or even do dessert to bear with our sever any longer. Beyond a prettyyy dismissive response to our inquiries, we did start the evening with over recommendations, approx. 2-3 dish each, where the neighbouring table of the same party size was only recommended 1-2 dishes a head, questionable. Perhaps I'd swing in for walk-in drinks, but no more 1-month out reservations, and definitely unnecessary to book for food quality as inconsistent as I've experienced.

Yelp
Very surprisingly satisfied. June punches all the notes for a fine dining yet hip venue. Decor is modern with lots of energy. We started with beef tartare, crab dip and frog legs - enjoyed all especially the Tartare - an interesting take where it is accompanied by house made potato chips! The mussels were awesome and so fresh. It was pre-shucked in half shells. Don't skip dessert particularly the crème caramel and house made ice cream. The white pine negroni made with Akvavit was so enjoyable - a sophisticated west coast sipping concoction indeed. Great date night location if you want to impress with your culinary coolness. I really want to come back!

Yelp
This place has received a lot of hype on social media. That I don't trust much, but some friends gave it a good review too, so I naturally wanted to try it. Reservations are recommended, and getting them online is a bit a competition. We arrive at open, and there was already a small line in front. Those with reservations were allowed in first, so I'm guessing they keep a few tables for walk-in. The space is quite dark. The most striking feature is the orange glow from the bar. We ended up trying the following: - Apple Celery Mocktail: Excellent. I usually don't include my drinks in the review, because they're usually not exciting. But this was one of the most memorable drinks I've had in recent memory. Wonderful blend of apple and celery, which was incredibly refreshing. - Le Petit Chapeau Pate: OK. Decent enough, but was the least exciting dish of the night. - June Brioche: Good. Small portion. Just enough for 4 people to take a bite. - Seasonal Salad: Very good. Nicely presented, it was fresh and simple. Tiny croutons were a nice surprise. - Pepper Bluefin: Very good. Nice executed and plated. - Pasta for Rachel: Very good. An interesting presentation, where we had to cut it up to share. Drenched in butter, which is a selling point. - Steak Frites: Excellent. Striploin was perfectly done, and I tried to soak up every drop of the brandy sauce. Fries were also excellent, and the mayo maison was outstanding. - June Burger: Excellent. Easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was pretty good. Our server was good enough, as she was attentive. There was another server (or busser?) helping, and he was very entertaining trying to get my kids involved in a couple of conversations. Overall an excellent meal. Admittedly pricy, but the food got progressively better through out the night. I would rate 4.5 out of 5, but edging up to 5 because I still think about how good that steak and hamburger is. I would definitely return.

Yelp
Vancouver needs more places like JUNE! We live in the hood and we've been eyeing June since we saw a new lease had gone into this building. We got a reso for four last night (Friday) which also happened to be the soft launch June's underground bar, Lala. The vibes immediately cool when you step through the curtains and moody and the decor is awesome. The bar is striking and I love the outfits that everyone wears! The service is wonderful, our waiter joked lots with us and gave us his "fave" dishes! We ordered the following and here's how I'd rate them: Crab dip - LOVED want to eat a mound of it to myself. Paris Tartare - FRESH and a lovely bite of tuna Brioche - perfect for slopping up sauces Mussels - LOVED, insanely great sauce comes with. I love the textures on these too as they have little crispy garnish Frogs Legs - A MUST, no notes just so great. I simply want more! Pasta for Rachel - the famous pasta sheet, while I loved the look and was anticipating this dish, I wanted a slightly more flavourful filling, maybe sharper cheese. Pasta was beautiful tho and cooked perfectly. Crème Caramel - GORG, loved the crispy topper. Drinks wise you need to have the Veridita Colada - best drink I had. I also had the Genmaicha Clover Club which too was pretty and delish. Shoutout to Joshua who welcomed us to June and made our experience even better! Once we finished dinner we headed down to Lala and caught a glimpse of the "ice room" yes they have a room for ICE! Lala is a vinyl bar and the vibes are so right! The design is really pretty too with velvet stools and seating with a curved and sexy ceiling. The bartender Riley was great. He made excellent cocktails. A guy is spinning records the whole time and the room is buzzing. I can't wait to go back to June and Lala on the reg and try the whole menu! I'm so thrilled this spot opened. As we were leaving we also saw fellow Will and Grave Canadian, Erik McCormack waiting for a seat! Well done June! So stoked to have you in the hood.

Yelp
We came for a birthday celebration on a Saturday. Service was mediocre and food was a little bit of a let down Drinks: Most of their drinks are prebatched so are harder to customize. They are infused ahead of time to give it more flavour Noisette Manhattan (23) - a good solid drink. If you like strong drinks this is a good one. The brown butter whisky makes this drink delicious Genmaicha clover club (18) - loved the faint genmaicha flavour at the end Blue fizz (19) - good for people who don't love the flavour of alcohol. On the sweeter side Verdita Colada (22) - like the creaminess of this drink with the contrast of the chilli oil Burnt Gibson (mini) (10) - a bit too strong and dry for me Onto the food... Crab dip (28) - I liked the spiced Madeleines in this dish. Gave it a little punch. The crab wasnt too seafoody and contrasted well with the avocado. Reminded me a little of a deconstructed California roll Beef tartare (22) - the potato chips had a hint of old oil flavour but it didn't influence the dish too much. They were nice and crispy. Good amount of tartare to chips. I think there was a bit too much pickle to the amount of beef. Would be better if we were instructed to mix the tartare beforehand so that you aren't getting huge amounts of sourness in some mouthfuls. Felt like the peppered egg yolk didn't add much to this dish Frog legs (16) (usually comes with 3) - they reminded me a lot of yangnyeom Korean fried chicken which is like a sweet and spicy flavour. The frog legs were juicy. I feel like the lime mignonette was a bit much. A bit overly sweet for me Pasta for Rachel (36) - was a disappointment. I think we were most hyped for this dish. To our disappointment this dish didn't exceed expectations. The pasta (especially the side pieces) was dry. It tasted EXACTLY like a PEROGI. The beirre d'isigny was very faint. Almost nonexistent. We were advised that it probably melted before it got to the table. Our server explained that some people want extra on theirs which is why other tables get the table service. I note that this isn't explained on the menu (but it is on their Instagram - I guess social media does run the world now). HOT TIP. Ask for EXTRA butter for your pasta and you will get tableside butter service. Without the extra butter the whole dish was just dry and we were forced to scrap up whatever sauce we could find on it to add that extra flavour (if you compare other photos with mine, the amount of sauce will look very inconsistent in each which definitely impacts the flavour profile) Halibut (40) - one of the better dishes on the night. Very soft and perfectly cooked. Loved the delicate sauce Special of the day asparagus salad (22) - this was one of the specials of the day. Quail egg was well cooked. I hated the size of the asparagus (chopped into tiny pieces) and the sauce coating the asparagus totally masked the flavour of it. Dish was refreshing but shouldn't be marketed as an asparagus dish. It also looks like a side salad when compared to the rest of the dishes. Maybe should have been served with the initial dishes instead NY steak with fries (65) - fries were crispy and delicious. The steak was also tender and well cooked Overall I felt like the service here was mediocre. The explanation for some of the dishes were lacking. The overall noise of the restaurant was also on the louder side so if you are looking for a quiet place this is not it. They also have some larger tables which is good. The food was okay but nothing that I would come back for. The birthday girl at the table had been to the restaurant before and commented that the dishes were inconsistent with the quality received on the initial visit which prompts me to believe that food can be inconsistent. Maybe your visit will be better than ours.I did enjoy some of their drinks so I would come back to try those. And again. Reminder to order the extra butter IF you are getting the pasta

Yelp
June on Cambie is a beautiful new addition to Vancouver's dining scene--elevated food, romantic vibe, and a lot of promise. We came here for a date night and were really impressed with the atmosphere--warm, stylish, and perfect for a cozy evening out. Highlights included the crab appetizer and tomato salad, both fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully prepared. The scallops were incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the pasta (their signature dish) was outstanding--definitely a must-order. We also tried two mocktails, which were both refreshing and well balanced. There are still a few kinks the restaurant seems to be working out. We were initially seated at the wrong table (a four-top for just the two of us), and had to return to the reception to be reseated. One of the appetizers arrived before our salad, and at one point, a server mistakenly brought our dish to another table. Service overall was friendly but could be more coordinated. As for the food, the burger was a bit too salty for my taste and could have used more plating finesse. The chocolate dessert was rich and satisfying, but would benefit from a finishing touch--perhaps a twist of orange peel or a touch of gold to elevate the presentation. Despite a few minor hiccups, June is clearly aiming high. It's a new spot with real culinary talent, and with a bit more polish, it could easily become one of Vancouver's top dining destinations. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
4.5 rounded up! Great food, service, and ambiance. Standouts were the crab dip and June burger. The burger was juicy and perfectly balanced -- easily one of the best burgers I've had. The Paris tartare was refreshing and the Haidacore tuna was seasoned well with a citrusy flavor. The one thing I didn't really care for was the pasta; it was quite buttery and tasted like mashed potatoes wrapped in ravioli. I was a bit underwhelmed considering it was one of the pricier menu items. Regardless, all of the dishes were well executed. 10/10 would recommend and come back!

Yelp
-good service! They had the Hy's waiter fit on LOL - bar and lighting installed in the centre of the restaurant was v cool and vibey but based on other people's vids I definitely imagined something abit different LOL kinda didn't meet the expectations I created in my head loved the rounded windows though - great cocktails (I only order mocktails if I do choose to get a drink & the spicy Daisy was really good (calamansi, honey + smtng else) - must orders: Pasta for Rachel, Steak frites, Mussels, crab dip - good but not must order: tartare, brioche buns, frog legs (although I was obsessed with honey lime mignonette -good desserts! Get the creamsicle ice cream French influenced West coast food so expect HEAVVYYYY butter across the mains. So good cause it's special butter from Normandy that's apparently very expensive LOL i don't think you really need to ask for MORE butter though cause it was a lot

Yelp
What's the hype ??? New place , nice and cozy , sounds a little too loud that you have to yell at the person in front of you . Steaks and burger are way too salty . We came in at 6 , I know it's busy on a Saturday , but the Wait time is ridiculous . Our server is nice , but took a bit of time to get her attention when needed . A blazer as their uniform , NOPE!

Yelp
This is a influencers restaurant. So much hype on Instagram and it is Instagram worthy don't get me wrong, but the food does not match up to the hype. A telling sign is the average age of the patrons is very young, who typically do not have a robust sense of flavours or experiences. If you want photos of good looking food, then this is for you. If you want good flavour for money, not so much and look somewhere else. We had the crab dip (one of the better options, that was refreshing). The scallops ($10 per scallop) which were very cooked perfectly, but were heavy seasoned with lemon and sweetness, which resulted in it the scallops being like flavoured with lemon-cello and it overpowered the dish. The mussels were good. Average. They put micro-potatoes on it for crispiness but it did not add anything great. My thoughts were to put fried onions instead which would have been better in my opinion for a little counter balance to the slight heat. The sauce for the mussels was amazing but did not make up for the overall dish. We got the chicken that was sold to us as the best chicken ever. Not so much. It was over cooked and not juicy. $50 for a quarter chicken you would expect it to be at least juicy. With so many options in Vancouver, I would not go back to June.

Yelp
Food quite innovative and all dishes were good except steak tartare a little too salty for our taste. Checked out both main floor dining room and downstairs. Music is really quite loud and lively.

Yelp
10/10 experience all around. From the service, to the ambiance, to the incredible food. We tried 6 dishes and loved every single one. The mussels and pasta for Rachel were the crowd faves and the dish that surprised us with its juiciness and flavour was the June Burger! All the drinks were also delicious - no surprise there as this restaurant is the same group as Keefer Bar. It's pretty difficult to get a reso though so if you can get one, highly recommend!

Yelp
TL;DR: Multiple bugs in our salad, dismissive service, and poor handling of the situation. Our duck dish came with fries and salad. After a few bites, I spotted a live bug on the cucumber. The waiter brushed it off, saying it likely flew in. Checking further, we found two more dead bugs in other salads. The manager offered desserts or a partial discount--$20 off a $70 dish. When we pointed out that comping the dish should be standard for a high-end restaurant, she argued "you enjoyed the protein." Only after pushing did they fully comp it.

Yelp
We went to June, as it was the latest "hot" restaurant. The space has a nice deco and the servers are the typical yuppy type. Sadly, we found the food was just OK, not worthy of second try. We believe there are so many other interesting restaurants out there that serve excellent food without the hype. However, we did enjoy the bar in the basement. That, we will return.

Yelp
Not only was the service exceptional, but the food was unreal. The scallops were perfectly seared, with a delicious sauce that tied it all together, and the ravioli tasted like cacio e pepe but in ravioli form -- absolutely divine. Paired with a red wine the bartender chose for me (thank you, Elliot!), it was perfection. I ended the night downstairs at the speakeasy, Lala, with a Naked & Famous (a mezcal drink) -- perfectly chilled and beautifully balanced. Finished it all off with the soft serve (I swirled the two flavors and omg I could not stop eating it). 10/10, highly recommend. Thank you to the entire staff for being so kind to a girl just wining and dining solo.

Yelp
honestly, I loved everything except for the suits that the servers were wearing. They were I'll fitting and they didn't match the vibe.
