"Junk made us fantasise about being hungover. A can of Coke Zero glued to one hand, a buttery soft, sweet bun in the other, and a box of tasty panko fried chicken calling to us from a box by our foot. The smashpatties at this burger spot are lacy-edged but still juicy, the sweet onions are an extra worth adding, and the cookies will send your Fitbit into a sugar-related spiral. Go for an M size (with two patties) because they’re smashed thinly and meltingly soft." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"The hype for crispy-edged smashburgers has reduced from an aggressive boil to a consistent simmer, and Junk, which is relatively new to Soho’s burger scene, is keeping up with the demand. The smashpatties are lacy but still juicy, the sweet onions are an extra worth adding, and the cookies will send your Fitbit into a sugar-related spiral. There’s a sliding scale of patties available, starting at the M with two, all the way up to five for the XXL burger. We’d opt for the former, which will set you back £11." - jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
"Junk's burger makes us wish we were hungover. A can of Coke Zero glued to one hand, a buttery soft, sweet bun in the other. The smashpatties at this Soho burger spot are lacy-edged but still juicy, and the sweet onions are an extra worth adding. An M equates to two patties, an L to three, and so on all the way to an XXL five-patty burger. It sounds excessive but because they’re smashed thinly and meltingly soft, we like an L. Eating in the Star Trek-lite dining room is like being inside a ventilation shaft, though. So we'd recommend taking your burger away." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

An S equates to one patty, an M to two, and so on all the way to an XXL five-patty burger. Go for at least an M, because they’re smashed thinly and meltingly soft." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
