"Junk made us fantasise about being hungover. The smashpatties at this burger spot are lacy-edged but still juicy, the sweet onions are an extra worth adding, and the cookies will send your Fitbit into a sugar-related spiral. "The hype for crispy-edged smashburgers has reduced from an aggressive boil to a consistent simmer, and Junk, which is relatively new to Soho’s burger scene, is keeping up with the demand. The smashpatties are lacy but still juicy, the sweet onions are an extra worth adding, and the cookies will send your Fitbit into a sugar-related spiral. There’s a sliding scale of patties available, starting at the M with two, all the way up to five for the XXL burger. An M equates to two patties, an L to three, and so on all the way to an XXL five-patty burger. It sounds excessive but because they’re smashed thinly and meltingly soft, we like an L.
