Where To Eat And Drink Near SF’s Music Venues - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This is another spot with a great patio. Come here with a few friends, drink a few local beers, and eat some woodfired pizzas before heading to The Greek. They also stay open until 1:30am, so if you’re hungry after the show or just want to discuss how much better the band was two years ago before anyone had really heard of them, you can do that too." - will kamensky

Jupiter - Review - Berkeley - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"On any given night, about half of Cal’s student body is seemingly hanging out at Jupiter, procrastinating with slices of honey-wheat crust pizzas. Any of the pies are dependable choices—the pepperoni with sauce that gushes out with every bite is a highlight. But the pizza isn’t the only draw. Jupiter has the best patio in all of Berkeley, with endless tables, fire pits, and a fountain in the middle. It’s ideal for turning “just one drink” into an hours-long kickback fueled by a lengthy lineup of house beers and live music. While it’s first come, first serve outside, it’s always easy to get a spot." - Julia Chen

We’ve been coming here for years and always leave happy. The outdoor seating is beautiful, with heaters to keep you warm, and the atmosphere is lively. They recently added a Garden Menu, we tried the lamb and it was delicious. I’m not usually into veggie pizzas, but here they’re really good. We’ve tried most of the pizzas and almost all have been great. The wings are tasty, and the dips are good but small in size. It’s a seat-yourself place, so you may need to wait and watch for a free table. The salads are fresh, the menu is simple, the staff is friendly. They often have live music, sometimes a bit loud for me, but other times perfect. Great spot for good pizza, a nice outdoor space, and a fun night out.

Google
I came here for happy hour and it was a nice outdoor experience in the back. The food was good and the service was pretty attentive. The pizza was tasty, same with the artichoke and spinach dip. The wood-fired potatoes were a good filler. A hefeweizen is always tasty! Would come again if in the area.

Google
Jupiter is an absolute fantastic place to grab a pizza, either to go or for dining in in which you can be seated inside as well as outside in their 2-story restaurant/ beer garden. The beer garden is delightful and nice to look at in the evening with the decorated lights and ambience. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, Ones you can have full on conversations with and get an honest opinion. I live in Southern California so when I tried this place, I made sure to go again before heading back. Delicious. Good toppings to sauce to crust ratios. It wasn’t super thick, light and airy. They have appetizers, salads, and build your own pizzas as well as specialty ones, which were very good. I’ve tried at least three different ones and none of them disappointed me. You can go halves on pizzas when it comes to toppings if you want to share or try more than one. They have alcohol, parking can be limited because of the area it’s in so just be aware, but there are parking garages. If you haven’t tried this spot, a lot of the reviews here are good for a reason.

Google
nice nook in berkeley, food is above average , ambiance is great, had enough heaters to not to feel cold during a cloudy day. Beet salad was the best item ordered. Service can be slow on a busy day. Overall , above average rating.

Cool spot for a quick lunch. Enjoyed a few IPA which made it all worthwhile. The beer cheese was meh - pizza was okay - salads were great. Outside ambience was dope👊🏼

What an amazing venue Jupiter features live music and a helpful wait staff. The place was busy during graduation season. The decor to the food was excellent. When you visit be sure to ask for margaritas. Take advantage of ordering a second round of margaritas, because in many ways they’re better than the first round. Our party of five enjoyed the food. Three adults were keen on the mixologist that made the margarita difference for the first round to the second . (The only drawback was payment in cash became a challenge—venue opted out cash for credit card payment instead for reasons too many frauds with $100. note: bills needing to have a blue markings.) unfortunately information was shared by our nice waiter, yet overall I’ll take a chance on another visit only to realize not to bring cash, because Jupiter didn’t trust $100 bills without the blue marking. Says the waiter.

Food was perfect and the service was excellent we placed our order using the QR code so we didn’t wait than the food it comes after 15 mn I think they bring singers every weekend

Google
Our first dining experience here was disappointing. While the food itself was just average, what really alarmed us was finding a large piece of plastic embedded in our pizza — a serious safety hazard. Thankfully, my husband noticed it before swallowing, but it could have easily caused someone to choke. We expected much better quality control and attention to detail from a restaurant of this reputation. Unfortunately, this incident has left us hesitant to return or recommend it to others.

Yelp
Amazing food, Amazing drinks! Please bring back the QR codes, our waiter took forever to take our order and the table next to us also got here at the same time. They got their food first before the waitress took our order.

Yelp
While walking and shopping along Shattuck last summer, I stumbled upon Jupiter. The place was packed and full of energy, but we couldn't wait for a table at the time. Fast forward to my wife's birthday--I knew what she really wanted was to spend quality time with our son, who had just started his freshman year at UC Berkeley as a Chemical Engineering major. Knowing his schedule was packed, I made reservations at Jupiter to keep things simple and close to campus. Our family loves pizza in all its forms--New York, Italian, even Indian-inspired--so we ordered four different pizzas to share and sample. My wife is an amazing cook, and my kids have grown up spoiled with homemade meals and adventurous flavors, so expectations were high. The bruschetta was different from what we're used to but still enjoyable. The BBQ pork riblets were good, though we all agreed: Mom's version still wins. That said, we had no complaints--everything was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. We sat outside in the walled brick courtyard, which felt cozy thanks to the overhead heaters. Our table was on an elevated section near the acoustic band. The music added to the atmosphere without overpowering our conversation, which we appreciated. I enjoyed some excellent craft beer with my craft pizza, while the kids explored a fun variety of non-alcoholic drinks from the beverage menu. It all made for a relaxed, memorable evening. We're already looking forward to our next visit--to try more of the menu and sample more of their rotating beer selection. Jupiter is definitely on our list of go-to spots when visiting Berkeley.

Yelp
Loved it! Didn't love the wait for a table, but loved the service and the food. Just have to hang in there, a table will eventually free up. I highly recommend the non alcoholic pina colada as a drink, as well as the spinach and artichoke dip. We also got a pizza with half Cassiopeia and half Eutropia. Both sides were super good and that's why it's so crowded. Fun collegiate crowd with probably double the amount of parents since it was parent's weekend, but just a really good vibe.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a nice mimosa place. After a quick yelp search, we found this place. They didn't have bottomless mimosas but they had mimosa carafe so we decided to give it a shot. As soon as we reached, the wait time was minimal and we were seated right away. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. However, we wanted some fresh air so decided to sit in the outdoor patio area - it was beautiful! We got the mimosa carafe and a split pizza - with a root vegetable topping on one side and chicken on the other side. Glad they did split pizzas! The mimosa was great - it comes with orange juice. We repeated the mimosa carafe and it was great. The pizza itself was big enough for the two of us. However, it was a bit bland for our liking, although super healthy. All in all, we still loved the mimosa carafe and enjoyed the ambiance. Definitely recommend this place for the drinks.

Yelp
TL;DR: great food, drinks, and vibes. Meh service. This Bay Area native took almost 3 decades before she went to the Greek Theatre. Better late than never, right? Going to Jupiter before contributed to that being an amazing night but almost made us late! I got off BART and was the first of our motley crew to get to Jupiter. We didn't have a reservation but there were open tables. They didn't seat us even when we were all there and people who came up to the desk after us kept getting seated. What gives? There was some miscommunication going on. Service continued to be slow and they didn't refill our waters. Free soda refills? Forget it! They didn't notice and barely came upstairs for us to say something. Besides that--drinks were flowing, pizza and salad and appetizers were large and good. My Mediterranean salad (small) was the perfect size and came with quite a bit of chicken. Everyone was happy! They have good pizzas (but I'd just had pizza the night before.) The outdoor space in the back is marvelous but busy. The upstairs area gave off steam punk vibes and was cozy. Clientele included families, college students, young people, and old! Something for everyone.

Yelp
Went to Jupiter in Berkeley and grabbed a seat outside. The patio was big and open, and I ended up in a little alcove under a red canopy (so all my pics came out with this red tint, haha). Ordering was super easy with the QR code on the table, and the food came out quick, which was great since I had just finished hitting balls at Tilden. I got a hazy IPA, the Petaluma wings with honey sriracha, and the Andromeda pizza. Beer was cold, hoppy, and really hit the spot on a warm afternoon. The pizza was super cheesy and satisfying -- definitely a good pick if you're into cheese. The wings were juicy, tender, and tossing them in honey sriracha was the move. All in all, solid place for good beer and food. I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Anvita S.

Yelp
Do not miss out on the wings, they were our favorite item of the night! Sausage pizza was also bomb. Head to the back patio and seat yourself directly, and order using the convenient mobile site. We enjoyed live music on a Saturday night as well.
google avatar

Diane L.

Yelp
Great service when we came by for lunch! Walk in and seat yourself, we sat outside on the patio. We were a party of 4. We ordered wings to share for an appetizer. They were tasty! Three of us had their house made lemonades, we also ordered one coffee. We split a large pizza half Triton, half Cassiopeia. For dessert we had their chocolate chip cookie served in a cast iron skillet topped a scoop of mascarpone! It was warm and very delicious. Our check totaled $117.74 with 20% tip and tax.

Yelp
Jupiter is unfortunately a very fitting name - you would think the waiters traveled to Jupiter to grab the food. I hate to rate a place with such delicious food so low but the service was awful. I really enjoyed the Eutropia pizza, the cheesy garlic bread, and bruschetta. The ranch was really light and had a perfect refreshing flavor! Jupiter also has a beautiful outdoor space. They have open seating and QR codes to order food directly to the table you choose. Super green and picturesque - perfect for pics! Sadly, my two recent visits were coupled with terrible service. My first time, we ordered three appetizers and a salad, all of which did not come out. Our main dish came out before our sides and appetizers. We were optimistic that the rest of our food would come out but ended up eating the pizza and waiting an additional 20 minutes before we had to flag down a different waitress (our original waitress was nowhere to be found the entire time we ate). When the second waitress finally brought out our appetizers, they were already cold. The original waitress did not check on us or offer refills until far into us eating our appetizers as dessert. My second Jupiter visit was notably worse. After searching for a table for some time and not finding one, the server sarcastically wished me "good luck" with finding one. When a table eventually opened up, my group ended up sitting there with their dirty dishes for an additional 20 minutes before anyone came to clear it. I'm sure you could guess what happened next.... We ended up waiting over an hour for our food to come out. If I had not checked in with my waitress, the food would have never come out. Apparently our order had not been put in and we were waiting for nothing. Aside from this, the servers and waiters just had a bit of a sassiness or attitude to them. If you are willing to overlook the poor service, you may be in for a delicious meal and chill outdoor vibe, but to me, it is not worth your time.

Yelp
I've never been here before and my honey said let's stop here after our movie. We went in & it's a seat yourself. This place is huge. So we picked a spot outside near the band. We ordered the June 2025 pizza of the month & it was delicious! Plus we topped off the night with the peach bread pudding. Very good - needed more sauce & whip cream. Ice tea isn't cold or served with much ice. I think it's room temperature tea ha! Oddly the menu says sandwiches are only available until 4pm. Which was too bad - I wanted to try the meatball Sando During summer I really recommend sitting outside. Service was ok - our server was nice but we definitely had to request refills etc. PRO TIP There's a QR code that you can scan & order your food faster. Or you can wait for a server. We didn't see the QR code until well after ordering. I look forward to returning with my honey for more live music & food.

Yelp
My boss needed a location that could accommodate 20 folks. They went above and beyond to ensure we got the desired seating. Gotta love a place that accommodates large parties. The pizza and beer always hits the spot. They have great outside seating as well!

Yelp
Fabulous little hidden gem in downtown berkley!! Outdoor patio has ample seating, fire pits and a stage for live music. The pizza is fantastic and the service is great excellent! Perfect spot for date night or friends night out!

Yelp
Stopped by Jupiter yesterday on a recommendation from a friend, and I'm glad I did. Even though I work at a pizza joint myself, I can say without hesitation--this place gets it right. I ordered the Mercury personal pizza (about 9 inches), and it was fire. The fresh basil, sliced tomatoes, and the balance of garlic, cheese, and sauce really brought it together. The flavors were on point--fresh, bold, and just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I paired it with one of their German-style pilsners, which was crisp and clean. A great match for the pizza. Even though I'm not usually a beer guy, this one hit smooth. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere--with its patio seating, string lights, and cozy vibe--makes it a perfect spot to chill solo or bring a few friends. You can tell they care about quality from the food to the service. I'm not a hardcore Yelper, but when a place delivers like this, it deserves the shoutout. Solid pizza, good beer, good people, good vibes. I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome food and atmosphere! Great service! It was walking distance to where I lived in Downtown Berkeley. My wife and I went there on our date night and enjoyed ourselves!
google avatar

Charmagne E.

Yelp
Been coming here for 20 years..... Still a great place to go tho I feel like the quality of the pizza has slipped. Our waitstaff was on top of her game and so super kind. Sadly, loud as all hell. If that's your thing, then have at it. :)
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
Jupiter was recommended during business close to Berkeley. The ambiance draws you in ,then the delicious pizza confirms your choice . I look forward returning next time.

Leticia S.

Yelp
Food was great, ambiance was amazing, enough outdoor seating for our party of 12 without a reservation. Our food was out quickly, excellent drinks and service.
google avatar

Ulyssa R.

Yelp
Dog friendly place, they'll bring a bowl for your pup to enjoy outside!! I ordered some alcoholic cosmos-something-frozen-lushie that was incredibly sour! It was shocking and offputting, and then eventually kinda ok? The Xanthia pizza absolutely changed my life. The thinly sliced potatoes UNDERNEATH the cheese was amazing. It is such a genius idea, it is officially my favorite pizza ever. Server was sweet and friendly, and I really like the patio garden vibes outside.
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my lab. It was SO GOOD. We shared the hummus, the spinach dip, the wings, the beet salad, the Caesar salad, and 5 different pizzas. Loved all of the appetizers. As for the pizza, I especially liked the chicken and garlic one (it had whole garlic cloves on it!) but they were all fantastic. As for ambiance, it was my first time sitting on their patio and it was such a lovely day. The decor is so cute and the air smelled like pizza.
google avatar

Desiree D.

Yelp
The service was quite disappointing but the food and ambiance is amazing. The outdoor seating is so cute and garden-like, it's perfect for pictures. But on my first visit, my table experienced a lot of trouble with flagging down our servers and waiting a long time for our food. Our main dish came out before our appetizers which were left forgotten in the kitchen. After finally being brought out to us, our appetizers were cold. On my second visit, the experience was unfortunately much worse than expected. When we asked a server if there were any open seats, we were dismissively told, "Good luck." Since it's open seating, we waited and eventually grabbed a table as soon as one opened up. After sitting down, it took 15 minutes before anyone came by to clear the dirty dishes left by the previous guests. Another 15 minutes passed before a server finally approached us--but by that time, we had already placed our order online as suggested by the lenu for faster service. We then waited over 45 minutes with no food before a server finally informed us that the kitchen never received any online orders due to a technical issue. While we tried to be understanding, the situation was frustrating--especially since the table next to us left after waiting more than an hour without even getting water. Eventually, our food did arrive, and it was genuinely delicious. However, the incredibly poor service and excessive wait times completely overshadowed the meal. Sadly, it's hard to justify returning based on this experience.
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
Really nice space with a nice outdoor area. All the pizzas we had here were really good but the last time we were there, there were many rats around our outside table so we have not been back yet.
google avatar

Eleni Blue M.

Yelp
Food is great. Although we only ordered a pizza, we got to see what others were ordering & everything around us looked delicious. Service was also good. The drink I ordered was not good and our server didn't charge us for it. She was very understanding. The ambiance was the best as there was live music outside in their beautifully decorated patio. They also have a fire pit and plenty of tables. We will definitely return
google avatar

Maribella S.

Yelp
Wonderful drinks, food, and service. Jupiter really ticks all the boxes, and it's become one of my favorite places since moving to Berkeley. Whether it's a celebration, or just a night out with friends--it's the place to be. Their pizzas are to die for, and the pomegranate ale is my all-time favorite.
google avatar

Lasya R.

Yelp
Incredible thin crust pizza with mix and match flavor combos. Service was honestly mid, it took a long time and the servers were not in communication with us about the wait. It seemed like they got upset at us for asking how long the wait time would be. However once the food arrived it was perfect. Have sat both indoors and outdoors and the ambiance is great. Live music is a great bonus
google avatar

Taylor K.

Yelp
Straight bussssiiin! Really busy for 8pm on a Wednesday night and I can see why! We made a res ahead of time with a big group! Xanthia pizza-- potatoes, bacon, ricotta, thyme etc SOOOO GOOOD. I got a personal size and couldn't finish hahaha but I wanted to. All the flavors balanced so nicely. So many unique pizzas and salads Mediterranean salad was my fave-- dressing was yummy. They use QR codes at the table so we could all order and pay separately which was nice. Live music outback put the experience up there for me! The staff seemed really stressed out, kinda felt bad for them.
google avatar

Judy M.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance was wonderful . It was a super busy time and the staff were great under stress:)
google avatar

Yelp
Everything! It's been awhile since we have been here. We came for our 33 yr wedding anniversary. It's exactly how it was prior. Ambience, Service and Food great! Thank you!

Mark S.

Yelp
Pros: Outdoor patio. Historic rustic indoor atmosphere. Cons: Poor food except for pizzas. Overpriced. Beer samples are tiny squirts of foam with no beer. NO hot sauce. Foods do not pair well with beer. Need smoky, spicy, umami foods. Absurd flavored beers like watermelon. What is a beer pub and grub without independent hot sauces?
google avatar

Mehrnoosh S.

Yelp
Very pleasant and calm restaurant environment with friendly staff ready to serve customers with excellent and delicious food with less waiting for it but if you are more than 4 it's better to get the reservation. I recommend you to visit this restaurant and experience the delicious pizza and Salad yourself. My husband and I with our family enjoyed it very much and were satisfied with all the service. I hope you enjoy it too.
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
I loved this pizza place! My boyfriend and I split a Xanthia/Circe pizza, both sides were very good. We also got pomegranate ciders and garlic bread. We sat outside and loved the atmosphere.
google avatar

Agnes C.

Yelp
Pizza and Beer are the best combination for Jupiter. For beer the Pilsner and Hefeweizen matched great with our Eutropia pizza. I can taste the smokiness of the mozzarella. I love the brick oven pizza. We have been here several times and the beer and pizza are always good. This place is good for groups. Enjoy the beer garden on nice sunny days. Our server was prompt and always checked on us. There's also a band that plays on Fridays. There's paid parking about a block away. You could also take BART, station is across the street.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Came here for a beer after a class. Super cute! I'm not from Berkeley so this place was awesome. Beer was $8.
google avatar

Yelp
First time eating here. House salad, chicken bbq pizza & veggie pizza & beer were all good. I'll be back!
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
Jupiter was great! The pizza was delicious. They had so many flavors to pick from. They have outside and inside seating. It was raining so I will have to come back to experience the outside seating. Everything was very tasty. It wasn't too busy inside so we got our food in a timely manner. I definitely want to come back and try some other pizza toppings!

Yelp
Jupiter is always a favorite for any occasion. You can come here for a few beers after work, or you can make it into a casual date night (especially on the jazz nights). The back patio is a nice escape inside the city of Berkeley and makes for a lovely ambience. The waiters here have also always been very attentive and helpful in my experience. Saturday night is the best in my opinion. This weekend, I had the bruschetta and wood-fired potatoes with mozzarella and bacon for appetizers. The bruschetta, while not my selection, was good albeit a bit heavy on the tomato (again, this isn't normally something I would order so grain of salt). The potatoes, on the other hand, were a highlight, especially along with the cilantro-jalapeño sauce! We had the Cassiopeia and the Xanthia. The former is excellent, and I feel you can never go wrong with a barbecue chicken pizza. The Xanthia is unique; I would encourage potato lovers to give it a shot because it's unlike many other pizzas I've had. Likewise, my regular order here is the Circe, which is another unique pizza I would highly recommend seafood lovers to try!

Daniel G.

Yelp
The atmosphere is very chill, the pizzas and bruschetta are bomb. The service was on point. I have been here a few times and it is very consistent.

Yelp
I came to Jupiter three times while attending the University of California, Berkeley for graduate school 2015 to 2019, inclusive. My first visit, in 2015, was part of a pub crawl. I am not a beer drinker, so I was hot out of luck and experienced a little bit of pestering about getting food. We went upstairs for our brief time here and ended up not going with food. Even upstairs, the overall ambiance was a little on the noisy side. My second visit was part of a physics group meal out together in which I was the only female. While us group members were fine, I got some odd looks from other diners. My third experience, in 2019, was a bit different than the first two. It was quiet when I arrived, and a peer group (Versatile PhD) had opted for a table together. Finding the table was straightforward. We went with a few different pizzas, which were alright. When I bit into one of the slices of pizza, I chomped down on something rubbery. Trying not to draw attention to myself and whatever it was, I put it under a napkin. It looked like a balled up rubber glove. Perhaps one of the chefs was not paying full attention and had bumped it onto the dough. The wait staffs across all three occasions were a mix in terms of level of tuned in to our group(s).

Yelp
Nice beer garden with a large outdoor patio! Didn't eat here but just had some beers and sat outside for a while. Lots of seating options on the patio, and they kept it warm and cozy despite being outside in Berkeley in the winter! Smelled SO good, would love to come back to check out their food offerings and grab a couple more beers. Definitely recommend as a spot to bring large or small gatherings. Great spot to sit down and chat for a while -- I came here with my best friend and my mom and both enjoyed it.
google avatar

Kurtis W.

Yelp
This is a great pizza spot with local craft beers not too far from campus. It's got a great vibe with live music most nights and QR code menu and ordering, perfect for groups to order and split bills. I've eaten here several times with groups of friends. The ordering has always been easy and service prompt and friendly. The pizzas are creative and cooked in a brick oven. So far I think we've tried 6 different pizzas and never had a bad slice. If you're looking for a good spot to drink and hang with friends, this is it. Just be aware that seating is first come first served, so it may be hard to find space for a large group. And the music can be loud, but not a problem if you're there for a good time but may be if you're planning on deep conversations.
google avatar

Mariaté G.

Yelp
Another nice dinner with friends at Jupiters. The food was very tasty and the beer cold. The service was quick and friendly. Also ordered a salad but forgot to take a picture. The house salad is quite good.
google avatar

Craig Louis F.

Yelp
A fine brew pub with great indoor and outdoor ambience. I have been coming here for several years and the service is fantastic. I have recently moved to Emeryville, so this spot, just over the Berkeley BART Station, is on my list of places to visit weekly. My only wish is that they would bring back " Quasar" beer, my favorite. At least I can dream about it!
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
We came to Jupiter for second dinner as we were still hungry from eating at a izakaya tapas place a few blocks away. We ordered two pizzas and a few drinks and mmmm the pizza and vibe is still as immaculate as I rememebered it from college. This place is great to spend time at as the outdoor area has space heaters, nice lights and live music jamming so it's soothing to the soul as well as great eats~

Yelp
Decent place for a quick meal or beers and lounging after classes or work. Service is quick and friendly. Upstairs seating for a quieter experience.

Yelp
I'd like to give more stars and I would if it wasn't for the service. To be fair, the pizza is really good and ambience is nice. Unfortunately, it was almost laughable how rude our waitress was. I would be tempted to try it again if I knew the service would be better.

Yelp
Jupiter is a great place to hang out with your friends. It's got a HUGE dining area (both downstairs and up) and can accommodate easily for birthday parties/other gatherings. There's also a QR code ordering system, for events where it would be easiest to have everyone pay for themselves. The service is always great and the bathrooms are small but clean and usually immediately available. It is very conveniently located right on top of a BART station :] As for food, I only ordered the butternut squash soup in a cup, but it was deeeelicious. And it came with a side of toast! There were additional add-ons, but I only wanted the soup. And my sister loves the chicken wings here.

Yelp
I've walked past this pizza bar for years, but never realized what I missed out on. Trying out the Eutropia for the first time, I really appreciated the decadent pepperoni and sausage topped with green onions. The crust was thin, and crispy without being overly doughy. The large size was a bit small to share, so we ended up getting two large pizzas to share between 4 people. Pros: Pizza was prepared well, generous toppings and light, thin crust. Cons: Street parking can be difficult to find on a weekend or Friday night. Pizzas are a bit pricey relative to portion size.

Yelp
I've visited this place a few times, the pizza selection is top tier and the food is consistently good. Unfortunately, the service has never matched the quality of the food, and our most recent visit was the worst. We didn't know there was a college game that day, so the restaurant was busier than usual. After not finding any open seating outside, my partner politely asked a server if there were any other outdoor tables available. Without turning to acknowledge her, the server, in a passive aggressive tone said, "Everything you see is it, and if it has a reserved sign, it's reserved." The attitude and lack of basic courtesy made us feel unwelcome. As much as we enjoy the food, this experience convinced us not to return. There are plenty of great pizzerias in Berkeley that pair excellent food with much better service.
