Cozy spot serving up small plates and specialty cocktails in a historic building.
"Justini's feels like a modern-day, fancier version of two other Black woman-owned bars in New Orleans: Seal's and Bertha's. There’s even a mural in the courtyard honoring them. While both of those spots are classics, Justini’s is more of a see-and-be-seen destination with multiple cozy alcoves and mesmerizing chandeliers. The cocktails are wonderful, and though we plan on making it through the whole menu eventually, we’re pretty stuck on the Hello Barbara berry martini and the purple Doo Ya Thang champagne cocktail. There are also great hot sausage tacos and a burger loaded with jerk BBQ sauce, pepper jack, and charred jalapeños." - chelsea brasted, megan braden perry

"At this hot spot for cocktails in Bywater, the drinks are colorful and the vibe is good. Chic and elegant, founder Jessica Robinson offers happy hour deals to match, including $7 French 75s and lemon drops alongside a $5 happy hour cocktail of the day. But that’s not all: there are specials on beer, house wine, and Champagne, as well as bites like tacos and fish tenders. Happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m." - Eater Staff
"This cocktail bar in a beautiful Bywater space opened in June 2023, marking the building’s first occupant since Oxalis closed in 2017. Justini’s is the brainchild of Jessica Robinson, serving a menu of colorful, pretty cocktails as well as bar snacks like tacos, salmon bites, and wings. For brunch, served Saturday and Sunday, there’s a small menu of dishes like avocado toast, fried chicken and French toast, beignet sticks, a hot sausage croissant, and catfish Dauphine." - Eater Staff
"Justini’s is the brainchild of Jessica Robinson, who is honoring Black women with both menu items and in this Bywater space itself — with a brown sugar old fashioned named after local civil rights movement leader Oretha Castle Haley, and a lavender French 75 named after the late Dooky Chase chef and civil rights activist Leah Chase. The chic new hotspot, which also serves food, is open Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday until midnight; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Mondays." - Clair Lorell, Eater Staff
