JWB Grill Nashville

Me and my ladies went for lunch and our food was awesome! The staff was personable and friendly. It did take a bit for someone to take our order but we all loved our food and Chef John came to our table to ensure we liked everything. I had the Wagyu steak sandwich for $24 and it was well worth it.

The restaurant was totally empty, except for our party of 6. The server had an obviously difficult time with the English language. We had to repeat our order several times. And there were still problems. I was very underwhelmed by this restaurant and would not recommend it.

We tried to experience the restaurant but stood at the counter by the 'wait to be seated' sign for 15 minutes. A server finally walked over like we were inconveniencing her day and was surprised we wanted to order food and drinks. Ummmm. This is a food and drink establishment or as some call it a 'restaurant'. She recommended we go up to the fourth floor of the hotel instead. So we did and missed out on the live music. Definitely would never step foot in there again. They don't seem to want anyone to come there. I now understand the precious bad reviews.

Was hesitant to eat here given the current rating, but decided to anyway because the live music was so good! We couldn't have been more pleased with the quality or presentation of our meals, and our server was very good. No complaints, and would definitely eat here again! They were in the middle of updating the wine menu and I shared my normal wine preference with the server and she brought me a beautiful Cab that went perfect with my meal.

OMG! Best street food in Nashville! Chef John knows his stuff!!!!! Delicious!

We arrived in Nashville today after a long day of travel and settled down with Chef John at JWB and he was grilling outside some of the most simple but phenomenal creations. Grilling starts at about nine o'clock for late night bites, but well worth your while.

The Parmesan fries were wonderful and Brian at the bar made wonderful margaritas that were so delicious. Kim was so sweet coming around and talking to us and making sure everything was going smooth. Loved the music and the whole vibe. 😊

Food was AMAZING! Ordered the steak sandwich and it was excellent! Chef John was so friendly checking to make sure everyone was happy with the food. Service was also great! 100% recommend!

Stayed at this hotel and decided to have an early dinner at the bar, got the bartender signature cocktail which was amazing and the steak sandwich. The sandwich was good, some parts of the steak were a little chewy but the fries were so good!!! The service, drink and bartender was excellent.

In the lobby of the Margaritaville Resort (no store). The tap was mostly tap but the menu said they had Stella, they didn't. We just had drinks, service was good, place is large and clean with plenty of TV's showing sports.

Food and service was awesome! The ambiance perfect for us in the open air. The only thing is that I did not get any sides with my fish so I was hungry after 2 hours

Can't give a full review of this place because my wife and I just sat at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers. But from what we did experience Shelby the bartender made the best Bloody Mary she ever tasted and the pink lady with the dragon tattoo drink I got was very good too . Only thing is I'd have to drink a lot of them just to feel like they had any alcohol in them . And the deviled eggs were basic and there were only 6 halves which means 3 eggs for $14 is expensive.

The NY Strip came out well done when ordered medium rare. The steak and fries steak was ordered medium well and came out medium rare. The service is not attentive at all. I wouldn't recommend.

The bartender Patrick was by far the best bartender I've been served by. He was very friendly, personable & attentive. He was very busy and the only one there. I asked about the grand margarita cuz I wasn't sure about the egg white. He gave me other options as well as telling me why it made the drink with an egg white. So I ordered it and loved it!!! I also bartend back home in illinois and really appreciate above & beyond service. We had no plans to come back here this trip but will be back just to see Patrick & get this marg! He also recommended the key lime pie.... So I had to order it to take togo for my sisters bday celebration in our air b & b. 10/10 Eric the Gm delivered my key lime pie and was very friendly and welcoming.

We came in just for the skillet cookie! It was warm, crispy on the outside and gooey warm on the inside! With the ice cream it was top notch for a warm cookie dessert!!

We tried this restaurant while in town. It was close to our hotel so we were able to walk, which was nice. We are a family of 4, and while prices are already high in Nashville, the dinner/dessert here was pretty pricey. Dinner and dessert cost us over $300.00. Deviled eggs were very tasty. We ordered a steak which at $40.00, and it was great! The rainbow trout was good but there were bones. The greens had good flavor. Dessert was alright. The key lime pie didn't have much lime flavor.

Stopped for breakfast due to the Convenience of being next to the Airbnb we were staying at. I got the breakfast sandwich unfortunately the biscuit was a little hard and lacked flavor. It did come with bacon and another meat type patty. Overall just a fair breakfast.

This was an amazing experience. The food, the service, the atmosphere was incredible. Our server Mia was one of the best ever. Mia really made sure our experience was the best ever. Thank you Mia.

Had a total of 6 people for brunch today and took them to JWB Grill at 11:30 in Margaritaville Hotel. The place was virtually empty. Took 10 minutes before someone came to take a drink order. Spent $300 on breakfast! Steak and eggs was only average at best. Had to ask 3 times to get toast and biscuit which was ordered with the meal. This was nothing special for a Sunday Brunch. And to top it off, they do not validate parking after spending that kind of money on breakfast. Save your money and go elsewhere.

After experiencing the craziness (but fun) of Broadway, it was a welcome relief to relax at the JWB Grill. Although I can't review the food, I can tell you that the drinks and atmosphere are spot on! The atmosphere is cozy yet a bit upscale and the cocktails are delicious! We ordered a few tasty drinks, grabbed seats on the patio, and listened to a little live music. Drinks were a little pricey, so we did limit ourselves to one each, but they tasted great and were very well made. Definitely a great way to end a day in Nashville!

Fantastic beautiful restaurant. Fairly new hotel that was just opened 2019 before covid hit. Restaurant itself just opened 3months ago. The hotel place felt tropical and beachy. Restaurant service was very pleasant and attentive. Cocktails drink was fruity and delicious. Definitely a fan of Making waves drink. Spinach artichoke was creamy and wasted no food. Scraped to the bottom. Rainbow trout cooked well. Tasted just like chicken. And the steak was plentiful. Rooftop bar located on the 4th floor. They also have live music. And the pool area seatings was relaxing.

What a great restaurant! I was reluctant at first to try it, thinking JWB stood for John Wilkes Booth. I didn't look up and see it was in the Margaritaville Hotel. After my husband explained to me it was Jimmy Buffet's we were good. He is a big fan. The food was delicious, I am a burger fanatic and this was one of the best! Our server was a sweetheart and the entertainment was top-notch!

This was the best burger I've had since coming to Nashville on business. It's actually the best dish I've had since being here. This burger was properly prepared and was fully of flavor. My server, Ke'Lexus swapped out the home fries for regular French fries after I shared with her that I don't really like brunch foods. She was very accommodating.... Even the server that assisted her here and there was accommodating.

My BFF and I had a girls night out and JWB did not disappoint!!! We sat outside on the patio. They have a great space: lots of fans, open air, lights, cover in case of rain... all good things. There was even live music which is always a plus in Music City! We started out with cocktails that were super smooth. No kickback which means they were made well. For our starters: Pimento Cheese Hushpuppies and Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Guys. They were amazing. The Hushpuppies... omg. I don't even like pimento cheese and these were so so good. We split a chicken Caesar salad for our entree and they even brought it out on two separate plates! So kind!!! Then ended the night with delicious carrot cake. I really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. They didn't make us seem like they were in a hurry or eager for us to leave. I respect that. I suggest trying this place out if you're looking for a spot while in Downtown Nashville.

Delicious food! Pimento hush puppies were hit!! It's small in quantity (only 3) but boy were they delicious. Jumbo shrimp ain't so jumbo haha but nevertheless really good! Def my new favorite happy hour!

Best salad and Mac n cheese! Great service in a great area. Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

We are staying in Nashville for a Christmas party weekend with my company and my wife is pregnant so we were looking for something close to our hotel, and JWB Grill popped up on our Google so we gave it a shot. It's in the Margaritaville Hotel, and the restaurant is really nice. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there was live music being played which was very enjoyable.(sometimes it definitely can be annoying but this girl was very talented.) We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink & appetizer order very quickly. It took her about 15 minutes to bring out 2 sweet teas, but I cut her some slack because they had given us some water as well. Our spinach dip, and my French Onion soup came out shortly after, and both were delicious. Then my wife's pasta and my wagyu skirt steak Frites came and they really were pretty incredible. We both enjoyed the food very much. I do wish they offered some sort of bread for the table, but this isn't a deal breaker. Overall, the food was wonderful, but the reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the waitress was incredibly slow at refilling our drinks and even checking on us. They really weren't that busy and I honestly didn't even see her that much. Maybe she had something personal going on, I don't know, but all in all we had a really good experience. I would go back and recommend this place to friends.

We went to JWB grill to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. The table was set up beautifully and the bartenders were taking the time to talk about different Bourbon options while we waited on the rest of our party to come in. Drinks were ordered and asked to be put on one ticket. Our server then walked up to the bar and stated that she would take care of ordering our drinks and would take the order to the bartenders. After we were all seated (5 couples) the waitress did ask about drink orders. One person kept being missed, so the waitress was asked to get his order. She then replied that "someone was not listening." As an added bonus random snarky comments were shared by the waitress throughout the night. After we finished our ok but overpriced meal, the check was presented to the table. Mind you, many times separate checks were mentioned as well as the typical "we are together" but only was check was given to the birthday girl no less. Our group was then told that the check could be divided up to 4 ways, but separate checks would not be given. It was then up to our group to determine who ordered what and what our portions would be. We were also kindly told that there was an ATM or we could Venmo each other. The manager then took the time to come over to throw in his 2 cents stating that it was not their responsibility to divide the check and that it is their policy to have only one check per party and it is not their job to see how much everyone owes. Really? Nashville has been hit with snow and the ice is yet to melt. There were very few people dining and rather than provide excellent service to match the cost of the dining experience, the manager chooses to behave in this manner. Last I checked, Cracker Barrel is a lot busier, and they are able to provide separate checks and ask who is together to make sure everything is accurate. So, if you like being treated as if you are eating at Dick's Last Resort, by all means, give JWB grill a try, you will not be disappointed.

Beer and cocktail selection is good here and the food is very good. They were moderately busy when I went there last Saturday night and had an entertaining band. It took 18 minutes before the bartender finally acknowledged me and took my order-he kept taking more and more requests from waitresses while I sat. Then folks who sat down after me got his attention. I have bartended and you must be alert as new people arrive and let them know you see them and will get to them and keep an order of service. Wave after wave of waitresses with drink orders do not take 100% priority. Other than this and realizing I had to wave my hand for more drink orders the place worked out well. If you like brussels sprouts the appetizer is delicious.

Had an excellent experience. Food and service was top notch. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our server, Ellie, suggested medium rare and it was flavorful and tender. The burger was juicy and huge. Deviled eggs as an app were just enough heat and delicious. The key lime pie was the best we've ever had. Our server was so kind and attentive. Everyone we encountered was great. I don't understand some of the reviews...i would 100% recommend them and the items we ordered. Ohh and order a lemon drop martini...not on the menu but i ordered it and it was just right!

The service was slow and the food was terrible. The shrimp and grits I ordered came out looking more like soup than actual grits. Would not eat here again.

Stayed at the Margaritaville and had breakfast at JWB. Pretty standard 2 eggs, chicken sausage, potatoes and a biscuit. Food was decent and service was good

AVOID at all costs. Literally the rudest bartender (Madison) I've ever encountered. I walked in the door, sat down, and walked to bar to order drink. Madison refused me service and stated that I had done something and "I knew what I did" and she was going to have security remove me. I literally had been inside for 1 min and interacted with no one. I also never found out what MADISON thinks I did, but go anywhere in Nashville but here (or any other bar MADISON works at). It's ok because I'm assuming that MADISON is just a very sad and empty person inside.

I came here with my husband in April. I accidentally review the hotel instead of the restaurant so the names I mentioned and pics are gone. But our brunch experience here was awful. Our waitress acted like we were a burden for her. The place was pretty empty. A manager in plain clothes tried to give our food to two different tables (while we watched) and he then went back to the kitchen window. Then he figured it out and brought us our meal. And heaven forbid you want a 2nd glass of champagne during brunch. This was totally unacceptable and no visible reason for the lack of attention by the staff or incompetence of the manager. There are plenty of places to eat-we tried them because they were across the street from our hotel Tru. Next time I'm going farther than walking distance.

We had the most amazing meal here tonight! As we waited to see Jason Aldean, this place was really close to the concert! Absolutely delicious food and superb service! Definitely a place you want to go for a fantastic meal! The manager came over and talked to us and he was super nice! If we ever visit Nashville again we will definitely come back! Yummmm!

We'll down here for work and staying across the St. Ate here 3 nights in a row and have to say disappointed. Service slow. Apps came out with dinner 3 nights in a row and on the last night, I get half a steak. I rarely criticize but when a drink is 16 that has no alcohol, half a steak and cold apps, I have to speak up. In all fairness, manager bought my steak. Skip it.

My date and I had a fantastic experience at JWB Grill! As far as the food goes, the macaroni appetizer and wagyu steak were outstanding...as was the service. Speaking of service, many thanks to the Manager (Julianne Jacob) and our server (Mercedes). I proposed to my girlfriend during dinner that night at JWB and they helped by bringing the ring out to the table and taking video/photos of the very special occasion. Not to mention a couple of congratulatory glasses of champagne on the house. I would NOT have proposed if this place wasn't of that caliber...and it was. My, now fiancé, and I were 110% satisfied with our experience and JWB has become a place we will revisit every time we're in Nashville. Thank you to Mercedes and Julianne for going out of your way to help make it the perfect evening for us.

Located inside Margaritaville Hotel on the first floor. Live music when I was there, with the doors open and people singing and dancing. It was pretty packed and it was hard to find a spot, but I muscled my way to a bar seat. It's took a bit of time to be served, as they were super busy. They also had to recycle my beer glass, as they were out, which really concerns me in the day's of COVID. On the menu, pork belly tacos. 3 come to an order, which was a little much for me, however, there was not a lot of filling in the tacos, so I just made 2 bigger ones. The pickled onions gave it a nice zip and the avocado took the heat off of the Peruvian chile flavor on the meat. This definitely hit the spot!

Mediocre margarita and meal (rainbow trout). Also, they served me the meal before the drink and I had to tell them that I wanted the drink first. They made me feel like I was the weird one. Do yourself a favor and go to Calacas located diagonally across from JWB for a real margarita and good service.

My wife and I attended this restaurant for an event and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. The hush puppies were a great starter. The three cheese Mac was the best I'd ever had. The service was great and made sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be returning!

Tried to eat dinner here. Restaurant was not open so we sat at the bar to have a drink and wait. The bartender passed by us 5 times making sure not to make eye contact and offered no greeting. He finally after 20 minutes acknowledged us and said he would be right with us. About that time a walk up customer arrived and our bartender left us to wait on the new arrival. We got up and left not dining nor having a drink. This was Sunday afternoon around 4. We will not be back to that restaurant/bar. Very rude bartender. Dr. Barrett

Almost 5 stars imho. Reluctantly came her for breakfast because we were staying at the hotel and it was raining cats and dogs. We ordered omelettes and the hash (my personal favorite) and everything was cooked perfectly. The coffee was smooth and strong. Our waitress was kinda laid back and not in a hurry but she gave us descent service. Keep in mind they don't serve pancakes here so look elsewhere if that's ur goto breakfast. The ambiance is open and airy with comfortable seating. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this place and recommend it for breakfast.

Went to the JWB Grill in Nashville. Had a nice dinner with an excellent server. Ian was fantastic. She went out of her way to accommodate us. If you go there ask for Ian. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Okay what in the world amazing 111111/10!!! Went for our besties bachelorette party and stumbled upon this place. In AWE!!! Not only was the place absolutely beautiful, the live music was such good vibes and iconic! But what got us was our server. Literally Toni was the absolute best and most genuine person we have ever had serve us at a restaurant. Like she needs to be the president of the United States for real. Best human ever. Promote her make her boss whatever you need to do! Boss woman Tony we all love you so so much! Thanks for all the recommendations and writing them down for us while we are staying here on vacation! JWB's was really good. It's a hotel restaurant, but don't let that keep you away. They had a smoked Old Fashioned that was really good and the presentation was fantastic. I had the filet. The service was great and I'd go back again the next time I'm in Nashville.

Great location, food and service. Tonnie from Texas was the best!!! We split their hamburger, and the key lime pie. Tonight's entertainer was excellent too. Highly recommend this place!!! Five stars.

we was there for a leadership conference Jan 13-18 and book this place for our gathering, site unseen, you walked into live singing, whoever that was, he was really good. We had the private room. The food was excellent from the appetizers to all of our individual meals. The host was very attentive. The chef came out to greet us. The manager came to make sure all the food was correct even took back an order that I thought was something different would definitely recommend this place and will let go again when I return to Nashville.

Wish I could give this place more stars because the food was decent. However "Texas Tony" must be new, or lacking self awareness (maybe both), because we told her we were ready for the check, and then she went missing for 40mins. Finally we see her again, flirting with a table nearby, & to be quite honest, they looked extremely uncomfortable. I guess if you're into the slow service & shitty waitress thing, you should come here.

Definitely will return. The service was very attentive and our waitress was so accommodating when we didn't care for one of their cocktails and she quickly got us a new one. Margaritaville is the perfect location for this restaurant because their Grand Margarita was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed three cheese Mac and cheese starter and loved the Steak Frite special. My only complaint would be I was not especially impressed by their cocktail selection. But overall, great experience.

My fiancé and I loooved our date night here! We sat on the outdoor patio so we could see the city, and even in December it was warm enough with their heaters. I feel like this is a hidden gem since it's in the lobby of a hotel. Highly recommend the LOBst deviled eggs, salmon, and garlic parmesan fries. (But ask for a side of ranch) Favorite part of the salmon was the sauce that comes with it! He got the chicken sandwich and said it was really good. The key lime pie looks a little small and unassuming, but it's super rich so what they give you is plenty I thought it was cool it came with these lime zest strips and a toasted marshmallow. It's almost ice cream-esque, I loved it. Cookie skillet is exactly what you'd imagine, big warm gooey cookie with ice cream on top. Just super hot so don't burn yourself. The lobby was super pretty and decorated for Christmas, and overall amazing atmosphere and great service. Food came out really fast too. Overall we had a great meal and a great time.

Jimmy Buffett, you can do better than this!! While in Nashville, we stopped in here with friends for dinner. There was three couples in our party. We all ordered salads to split with our husbands. The salads were very generous and fresh. From this point things go south....I ordered the steak frites. I understand it was wagyu skirt steak, but it was so tough I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered Joyce Farms chicken. It was a chicken thigh...one chicken thigh...I thought it would have been a breast. He was not happy with his meal either. Another couple both ordered the steak frites. They didn't enjoy their dinners either. The last couple ordered the JWB burger. How can you mess up a hamburger?? Well, half of it was left. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance from any hotel downtown. Do yourself a favor and keep walking and do not stop in here!! The best part of our dining experience was our fabulous waitress!! Toni from TX was amazing!! She was very attentive and had the friendliness personality! Toni, I hope we cross paths again, but it won't be at JWB.....unless you manage it!!

Can't say enough about their Three Cheese Mac and cheese. They use the orecchiette pasta and it's excellent!! We also had the grilled asparagus and garlic parm fries. The following evening we had the burger, which did not disappoint and the second time around for the chocolate chip skillet cookies, YUM! Special shout out to our waitress, Lisa who was very friendly and attentive. Sunday brunch was very good, especially the salad which accompanied my omelet. The home fries were done perfectly. Wait staff again very attentive, Pearlla.

Great service to sit outside. Had the steak frites and found it be a skirt steak. Good food, but found it pretty simple overall. Overall a bit pricey for the flavor. The live music and atmosphere made up for it.

We love everything here! I had a great arugula salad with grilled shrimp, the kids had mac & cheese that were done right and hubby had grilled chicken. Skillet chocolate cookie with ice cream for dessert - who could ask for more!

The hotel and restaurant were beautiful and very well maintained, I would have given a 5 star except for one thing....a bartender named Kristen , or at least that's the name on my ticket. she never said her name, hello or thank-you. I had friends visiting from NYC , they joked " She makes us feel at home " she was rude ,dirty hair and poorly dressed. The music was very good .

Fabulous!!! We had the newly offered brunch and were delighted! Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the pimento cheese hush puppies and the eggs Benedict. The patio is a wonderful place to enjoy your meal and the music was wonderful. Service was excellent! A great option when you're downtown and want a relaxing atmosphere.

From the time we walked in, we had great service! Everyone was so kind and our waitress, Christian, was so welcoming since we are from a few states away. All of the food was delicious!!
