"I'm on the scene as news crews and loyal customers gather to celebrate the grand re-opening of K Sandwiches, the popular eatery that first opened in 2006 and burned down to the ground in a devastating fire in the summer of 2015. The Tran family — siblings Jennifer, Natalie and Man — have completed a long rebuilding process and debuted a refreshed, modernized space with more indoor seating, a new outdoor patio and an open kitchen where baguettes and more are baked. All of the original menu items are back, including the Vietnamese banh mi, croissant sandwiches, spring rolls, pate chaud pastries and smoothies; new espresso and tea drinks are now available, and the owners say additional new sandwiches and other items will roll out in the next week or two.
