Cute place, convenient (although can be crowded during lunchtime rush) parking. Food was good, service was very hospitable. A little on the pricey side but I would definitely come back.

Google
Quality sushi experience within a modern dining location. Came for DineLA and enjoyed the tasting appetizer the best out of all the items we ate although the fillet was also melt in your mouth.

We went back to K-ZO post-COVID quarantine and the food was exactly what we were looking for in high quality sushi. They did a great job of separating each of us in small tables outside and had a portable machine that we could dial into for service that reduced the staff's exposure. Super duper recommend if you're by Downtown Culver City.

Very good sushi here. Go on a Friday or Saturday for better sushi. Sit at sushi bar to order better fish from Sushi Chefs. See my pictures

Good food. I felt welcome. Nice moment.

We moved to the area recently and are very happy to have found this FANTASTIC restaurant. We love it! We have been there 4 times now and it is consistently delicious. Each new dish we've tried has been perfect and their Tarte Tatin dessert is so good! The apples are perfectly caramelized, which is not an easy thing to accomplish. The fresh mint and fruit garnish was hand-picked to perfection! We look forward to a future dinner experience there!

Google
I went there for a business dinner and the food was pretty good. I had been here once before many years ago and I feel the food has remained the same. The food quality was pretty good I can't say it is the best I have had. I had the Lobster roll, Dragon Roll and a few other things. Food taste I feel could be more flavor full in my opinion. The service was very good. The ambience I feel like it is getting bit old and needs some TLC. Three seems to be an Oder as you enter and things just are starting to look aged. This is my rating is like a 3.7 4 for Food 3 for Ambience 4.5 for Service

This sign represents a violation of independent couriers rights. They do this because a few couriers have picked up orders, left and cancelled the order while keeping the food. Postmates should be working to remove those couriers and reimbursing the reataurants. They decided to make a blanket “rule” for the rest of us that are doing honest work. This “rule” is managing our status in the postmates app thus managing our jobs. We do not work for any of these restaurants and they do not pay us. They wouldn’t pay a penny on my parking ticket even if I were waiting inside for the food to be prepared while i got the ticket. I am calling out every restaurant that does this because we should be able to do our job in peace without this insult of an insinuation that we might steal. They don’t have the legal authority to babysit our jobs like this and they should be sued for violating prop 22 in California that kept us independent. Not dependent on swiping the app before leaving the restaurant.

Yelp
Best Sushi in LA. The sashimi melts in your mouth.. presentation, service and quality all get 5 stars!

Yelp
Came by with a good friend. I made a last minute reservation, but not needed on a Sunday night. We ordered pieces a la carte. I opted to get a large asahi to pair with my meal. -grilled calamari: good, nothing too special -agedashi tofu: good -oyster half shells: pacific oysters, fresh -nigiri: sea bream (red snapper), salmon, ikura, scallop, nodoguro (blackthroat sea perch), umimasu (sea trout), hotaru ika (firefly squid), kamasu (barracuda), aburi salmon (seared salmon), sumagatsuo (bonito), amaebi (sweet shrimp) The nigiri were all good and fresh. Unfortunately, the nodoguro (most expensive fish) had scales on the fish. I pointed it out to staff and they apologized. They ended up comping a fruit cup for each person at the table (which was surprisingly quite good!) I think the main highlight for me was the octopus carpaccio. Never had octopus prepared like this before, and it was delicious! Shoutout to our server Michiko for taking care of us that night. Service was attentive and friendly. Parking validation available so you can park in the garage. Definitely will be back in the future...might want to try sitting at the bar!

Yelp
So very very sad. K-Zo is closing at the end of this month. My very favorite place for Tempura. Lovely little place, wonderful owners. Kzo and Yuki are retiring. A new Japanese place will open up but it just won't be the same.

Whitney S.

Yelp
Will miss you K-Zo! This place has the most fresh delicious sushi. I'm so sad they are closing after 17 years! Wish I had discovered them sooner. The servers couldn't be nicer and quick to respond to questions or preparing the sushi. Will miss this place!

Yelp
I recently ordered takeout and was very pleased with the food, but their website is bit confusing. The "menu" only has written descriptions. If you choose "take out" and "click here for photo menu," you can visualize it all. Luckily the Yelp link takes you right to the picture menu. I got a smattering a small dishes. We shared the Kuro Edamame, which was tasty and definitely enough to share with one or two others. The Goma Wild Chicken nuggets were good and there were a bunch in the order. The Salmon Avocado cut roll was super fresh and each of the 6 pieces had a good diameter. Overall, I'm a fan . Be aware though, it's pricey (perhaps a little too pricey).

Ashleigh S.

Yelp
Went here due to a friend recommendation. We're big sushi eaters, so always looking for spots with really delicious fish/sea creatures that won't cost us $100 a person. The prices were pretty good. It felt like we could have quite a bit without really splurging. And the people working here were great. However, the food itself just didn't hit. We ordered a variety of fish, too. Maybe it was off season (went in Oct) but we tried to order the specials and chef picks and just found it ok. There are better tasting sushi places for the same price, so this just ultimately won't be on our sushi rotation. **Edit to add-- apparently this location is closed as of Oct 31, 2023. I probably didn't need to type out this review. Oh well, good luck to the owners and workers on their next endeavor.**

Colleen R.

Yelp
Contemporary sushi spot in the heart of downtown culver city located next to trader joes. Came here after work on a Friday and was surprisingly seated right away even though we didn't have a reservation. We were greeted and sat upon arrival. Cute and modern design with limited seating. Very intimate and a cute date night idea if you want to go somewhere lowkey and not so mainstream/trendy. Our server was very attentive and considerate in asking if we want our dishes to come out at the same time or if we would like for her to bring dishes out one at a time. To start we has the spicy calamari, crab cakes, and the broiled black cod. As main dishes we got the Chilean sea bass and rib eye. For dessert, had the tempura icecream. YUM! When i say K-Zo did not disappoint, i mean it! We were happy with everything that we ordered and left feeling very satisfied. Would definitely come back and recommend. The next time i come back I'm ordered all the same things cause everything was delish!

Eriko M.

Yelp
Went there Friday night. Got there around 6:30 and place was pretty empty so I got worried but it filled up pretty quickly. The menu is a good mix of Americanized Japanese food and authentic Japanese food. Love that they had the gindara. It's tapas style so for the two of us we got a calamari salad, gindara, burrata salmon, wagyu and the rice less roll. The rice less roll was a bit too heavy on the cucumber. They have a wide selection of drinks. I like that their cocktail uses same. Service was great. Everyone spoke Japanese!

Matt L.

Yelp
Three stars means "OK". That's what K-Zo is, it's... OK. OK, and expensive. (But on par with the neighborhood.) A too-busy menu seems to be an overcompensation, appealing to the palette of an overly salted and a "hmm, let's see" suburbanite that might want familiarity rather than a most purist sushi focused spot. In that case, the rest of everything tries to razzle dazzle with presentation but is so general and bland tasting that most dishes come out looking like a fine dining experience, but lacks any true oomph that better spots nearby (Mashiko, Uzumaki) will smack you with by having a more focused approach. As Patrick says in Spongebob: this play puts on "airs". I wish I could take K-Zo and pat it on its shoulders and just say "You're enough". You don't have to play the assimilation game that Harry Culver wants you to. But I feel like K-Zo would pretend as if it hears me with a tearful nod, and then hand me a bill for $200.

Karina P.

Yelp
My girls and I came here for a sushi dinner and we were so pleased with all the delicious sushi we ate. All the sashimi was fresh and melted in our mouth. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was amazing. I'll definitely be back here to eat more sushi!

Mikey W.

Yelp
I've actually only eaten takeout here, so I'll have to come in for the full experience, but let me just say - the food and presentation is incredible here and the sushi is absolutely exceptional. We ordered several orders of cut-rolls, some salmon sashimi, as well as some nigiri and everything just melted in your mouth. I also got the spicy box, which had spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and spicy shrimp rolls and it was the perfect complement to the other rolls we shared. In fact all the boxes were so beautiful configured, with excellent ginger and wasabi tucked in as well. For our group size, we ordered the perfect amount of food. Honestly, we've been dreaming of this dinner for the past two days now and can't wait to come in next time for the full and proper experience. With quality this high for takeout, I can only imagine how great it will be in the restaurant.

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour a few days ago. I notice K-Zo when I went to Trader Joe's in Culver City & finally had a chance to stop in. The menu has several happy hour options (which is a great deal in comparison to their regular menu). Selections ranged from $6-9. We tried several dishes, calamari, ribs, fried chicken and a few roll. Overall I felt the dishes were just ok. The rice in the rolls were super vinegary which I'm not sure is the norm or I just happened to be there on a bad day. There were a few discounted drink options as well. The service was good & food came out quickly. There are a few outdoor seats, a small bar seating of maybe 8 seats and regular tables. Happy hour is only at the bar & outdoor seats. They do offer 2 hr parking validation which allows you to take a walk around the area afterwards. Overall it was fine and the happy hour deal was good.

Amber M.

Yelp
Firstly this place is tucked in a gem of a location in Culver City, next to a Trader Joe's and near lots of boutiques, restaurants, and shops. There are lots of fish and nonfish options at this restaurant. We ordered the calamari which was so nicely breaded, very light and crispy. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The ribeye teriyaki was very soft and smooth to eat! It was unlike other steak I've tried. I'd compare it to what we'd imagine "boiled" steak tasted like LOL. The portions seemed small at first but we were pleasantly surprised by how full we felt after eating! Each entree comes with a salad and miso soup making for a perfect combo meal. The overall service was on point! Our table was always clear of finished plates and our glasses always filled with water. They were super nice and attentive. They also validate parking if you park in the structure right next to the Trader Joe's. The first hour is free and the next 2 hours are free with validation.

Lydia K.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from K-Zo and it was fairly good. My fish wasn't as fresh as it should have been but it was good. The uni was ok. I'll give them another chance the next time I'm in LA.

R N.

Yelp
I used to come here all the time when I lived in WLA. Today, since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by to have lunch. Both food and service were great as they had been, and the restaurant was almost full during the lunch time. I was happy to see they were doing well, but I learned today that the restaurant would be closed for good at the end of this month..... So sad.

Milo P.

Yelp
K-ZO is lovely sushi restaurant located in downtown Culver City. The ambiance is pale and pristine, with stellar natural lighting. The menu is diverse with Japanese and Asian fusion options, all of which are prepared with precision, with tweezer-specific details. Although everything is tasty, the portions are smaller than one may expect (rolls are 6 pieces, 2-piece nigiri for upwards of $12). The specials were definitely the highlights of the evening, with the seared aburi salmon nigiri being wonderfully soft, and the zucchini flower tempura being light and fluffy.

Chrisie A.

Yelp
This is the BEST sushi in Culver City by far! We ordered the bento box dinner and omg! Delicious! The chef puts his or her heart into their food. Everything is made with care. The ambience is just okay but could use a candle on the table or some better lighting. Some of the lightbulbs are LED and some are soft white. It looks cheap. If they improve the ambience of this place, it is the PERFECT date night restaurant. They also try to squeeze way too many tables in the space. It feels crowded. Hopefully management will make some improvements in the setting but the food is perfection. I would also add some more desserts to the menu. Order the bento box for dinner if you want to try a little of everything.

Maria V.

Yelp
I ordered takeout and thought the food was just ok. The Favorite Box had salmon and yellowtail nigiri, crab roll, and spicy tuna crispy rice. Also ordered eel. The salmon and eel were very good. The yellowtail was super fishy. Not good. I would recommend sticking to Sugarfish if you want fresher takeout and more variety.

Ashima K.

Yelp
We had the spicy yellowtail cut roll, spicy albacore cut roll, spicy tuna with crispy rice and nasu miso - all from the happy hour menu. Strangely, happy hour is only applicable if you sit outdoors, which makes me have secret follow up questions about the economics of it all for the business, but I'll try to tamp them down, and review the food. The rolls were good! Fish was fresh, and decent for what it was, and for sushi on the westside. I didn't like the spicy tuna with crispy brown rice - the rice was a little under seasoned, but the tuna was pretty good. We enjoyed the nasu miso enough to get two orders of it! This feels like a spot that'll be added to the rotation, though I feel the price tag is only justified for happy hour. The service was lovely, and downtown culver is nice enough to sit on the patio on, even when you're right on the street. Will be back for more of the menu!

Jill L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and sat outside. The three of us ordered: Fried popcorn shrimp nuggets ($12) - The batter was a bit bland but they tasted good once you dip them in the aïoli. Came with a good amount as well. Sashimi assortment ($24) - decently fresh. The assortment comes with tuna, salmon, albacore, yellowtail and whitefish and a side of sushi rice Spicy tuna crispy ($7) - on very crispy brown rice. Good but not the best. The spicy tuna could have been more flavorful Mackerel and toro sushi a la carte - fresh and delicious Green tea- came in a nice little pot with loose leaves. Very good!

Truman W.

Yelp
Sushi rolls all very good here - favorite was the spicy tuna roll - however the rice is curiously loose and falls apart easily. Mixed seafood tempura - excellent Agedashi Tofu - disappointing Gomo Wild Chicken - rather bland large pieces of karage chicken. Chawan Mushi - BEST CHAWAN MUSHI with a ton of seafood inside a little cup. Excellent fast service.

Karla C.

Yelp
What a nice sushi restaurant in Downtown Culver City! Date night success! We enjoyed the sushi and rolls.

Jonathan W.

Yelp
Well, this review is only for delivery. We ordered a chirachi bowl, a ribeye steak, and a bowl of tofu miso. I don't normally complain about prices on yelp, typically only for quality, but I felt the need to complain about both for this order. We're on the westside and prices are high, and I get it. As long as the taste is there, I'm almost always okay with paying higher prices around here within reason. The chirachi bowl was expensive, but tasted great with a good sized portion. It's the only reason I'm adding the second star. As for the rest, I've attached photos of the $30 "rib eye steak" which was actually just a few very thinly sliced strips of beef that were delivered as well done and ice cold. Quality of meat was worse than Yoshinoya fast food beef bowl and quantity wise, the amount of meat if you piled it together was about the size of a 99 cent McDonalds hamburger patty. Except McDonalds and Yoshinoya both serve juicer meat that you don't have to chew for ages to be able to swallow. The sides were not tasty either. Last but not least was the $4.50 tofu miso soup (see photo for how tiny this was!), that was missing any tofu, bland, and served in a espresso sized to go cup. Very disappointed. If you order here, stick to the sushi and nothing else. They should remove the other items from the menu.

Vinnie J.

Yelp
Every time I go here, I have a lovely experience. I've been there 3 times, twice we also had saki with our sushi. Order anything, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Sorry I didn't take a picture, I was too hungry.

Ruriko S.

Yelp
I think food is good enough but a little overpriced. Parking is so convenient. There is a parking structure but be aware of the homeless. Staff should be more friendly, I felt that our waitress was in a rush and annoyed for my questions.

Jonna J.

Yelp
Well, I really hoped this time around they would be a little better... sadly that was not the case. My friend and I sat at the sushi bar and I will say the service was good for sure - and the menu looked promising - until the food came. The ceviche was pure citrus lemon flavor, Spicy Tuna Crispy was pretty much inedible with it's mushy rice and nearly non-existent tuna flavor inside.. the yellowtail carpaccio was OK at best - the mayo cream just dominated the flavor, baked crab roll was just awful - tasted light cheap & fake crabmeat and all the various sushi we tried MIGHT have been decent were the rice properly cooked. Even the drink (Lychee fusion) wasn't properly made... sigh... back to Uzamaki...

Czarina R.

Yelp
Crushed to find that this, my very fave local place for the last 15 years, has closed down. Wishing everyone there the best of luck for the future and thank you for the yummiest happy hour, years of having me and various friends and family from around the globe (always staying until you were closing!), and some of my favourite dishes in the world. You will be missed as a true gem of Culver City.

Layla A.

Yelp
Closer to a 5 than a 4. Food is always good, it is just absolute hell trying to do a pick up order on holidays. They're also doing indoor dining but since covid ive just done pickup orders through their website. Once the food is in hand you are set for a great meal! It's just annoying to have to actually get the food, but I'm sure on any non-holiday night it's fine. Parking is easy in the attached Trader Joe's lot.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and ordered the miso eggplant (nasu miso) and eel avocado, spicy tuna, and spicy yellowtail cut rolls (6 pieces each). Nasu miso was sweet and umami, which really hit the spot. The sushi rice on the cut rolls were soft and fresh, the fish melt-in-your-mouth. Surprisingly-affordable at $23 per person, given it's a lot of sushi (and I took home leftovers)!

Mickie F.

Yelp
A place for serious sushi eaters. If your love of sushi is mainly for a perfect piece of raw fish, this place is super fresh and has a huge range of options that I haven't noticed at other places. Had trout sashimi for the first time. Food is plated beautifully! Service was excellent, staff was very attentive.

Jacob B.

Yelp
Food was amazing as was the service ordered two dishes which were both fantastic the price is a little high but other then that there are no flaws.

Esther J.

Yelp
I loved the outside patio because it was perfect to bring my dog along after our hike. It's a set up of dimly lit cute string lights under a canopy. You have the option to sit at the outside tables on the sidewalk or inside the restaurant as well. The service was super quick and friendly. The hostess was really nice and enthusiastic. She made a great first impression as we walked in. The waitress was great and she brought out a water bowl for my dog. We got king salmon sushi, freshwater eel sushi, yellowtail sushi, uni sushi, and toro sushi. The toro and uni was my favorite! They melted in my mouth and was perfectly soft and buttery without being fishy. We also got the eel and avocado roll, which was a 10/10. They didn't skimp on the eel in the roll. We also got a seaweed salad, which was the perfect starter. You must order the yellowtail collar! It comes with delicious ponzu sauce to pair with and the fish meat is perfectly soft and decadent. It was definitely an expensive meal so be prepared for a large bill.

Laurel W.

Yelp
Wow just had a great experience and meal here! Got a reso right away on a Saturday night and had fantastic food and service!

Hossein J.

Yelp

Yelp
Hello Yelpers! Hope you're hanging in there and staying well fed. I wanted to talk about dinner at K-ZO last night because it was good and you should know about it! My friend David and I met up for dinner on the patio, we haven't seen each other in awhile and we felt like sushi and it felt pretty safe to grab dinner. I ordered the tofu miso soup which turned out to be a good start. Then we shared the chicken wings (little bit of spice) always nice in my opinion. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfectly fried. Next, the sushi! We ordered the eel roll (substituted the Avocado, with cucumber) very yummy and refreshing. Sometimes the avocado can be heavy with the eel and the sauce for me. The spicy tuna, California, and salmon rolls. Everything was delicious and filling. Everyone was really friendly. I liked the mini heaters that they had at each table and that they ran a very clean operation. I hope you give them a try.

C L.

Yelp
We've been huge fans of KZO (and its owners Keizo and Yuki!) since it first opened years ago. The food and drinks have remained impeccable and the service always warm, professional and refreshingly unpretentious! The restaurant vibe is cozy yet modern and in a great location with ample parking (a must in Los Angeles!). We had our first date here and came back to celebrate our anniversary, this past Friday. They always treat us like family and often prepare a special omakase surprise dish to welcome us back. Keizo creates the most creative and delicious dishes. Everything is beautifully prepared and every seafood dish is alway fresh and melts in your mouth! The Salmon Carpaccio and Hamachi Kama are favorites of ours. The portions are generous and presented like artwork. Definitely try their new dessert, K-ZO Purple Sweet Potato Parfait along with Mochi Ice Cream! We love you, KZO and will see you again soon!

Roya M.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! Great service and absolutely delicious sushi! I highly recommend this place. They do have an outdoor seating but we sat inside. Also, they do validate your parking ticket! Will definitely go back again!

Laura R.

Yelp
I've only orders meals from here for delivery and the quality and packaging are both always very good. Have only good things to say.

EO 1.

Yelp
We started out with the Aka Miso Shiru with Asari, it was packed with lots of umami. Then proceeded with cold dishes; assorted sashimi, Rolled "Sake" (Salmon) with Burrata Cheese, Salmon Skin Salad, perfect combination, very delicious! Then came the hot dishes. We ordered Yaki "Sake" (Salmon) Kama, Sauteed Shishito Peppers and Sauteed Matsutake Mushrooms, Oishiikatta! Then, the sushi... Excellent Nigiri Sushi! The "Neta" to "Shari" ratio was perfect and was very fresh! I made sure I ordered a marinaded neta (Saba), fresh neta (Hamachi, Sake), a raw shellfish neta (Ama Ebi) and a type of roe, Ikura (Sake Eggs)...also the Deep Fried Ebi Heads! Totemo abura Oishiikatta! We were already full but the desserts looks so delicious on IG and Yelp! We ordered the Beni Imo Parfait and Mango & Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream...OMG..Umai! The Hosts and Waitstaff was excellent! Very prompt, attentive and knowledgeable on everything on the menu for ingredients, recommendations and very accommodating! Great customer service! We will definitely be back! Arigato, Oishiikatta, Gochisosamadeshita!

Yusuke T.

Yelp
Food is good but feel it is overpriced a bit, compared to other Japanese sushi restaurants.

Jeff D.

Yelp
One of my favorite sushi restaurants in LA. This is my go to for sushi. So good and K-Zo is a true artist at his craft. Sit at the bar let him serve you. You won't be disappointed!!

J. K.

Yelp
I'm sorry. I was so hangry. You didn't deserve the one star. My blood sugar drops and I lose control. Please take me back? Seriously though.... I am really glad K-Zo is on ubereats now and not postmates (although I think ubereats acquired them?). I gave them another chance at delivery and it was delicious....and delivered, which is fantastic. I hope that the new delivery service is able to hold up their end and prevent hangry reviews from panning this restaurant as I did when they had no control over the order being cancelled. I'm soooo looking forward to the time when I can go and enjoy in person.

Angela L.

Yelp
Wanted sushi for lunch and my bf found this wonderful place. There was no wait to be seated (possibly because it was a weekday). The interior design was clean and comforting and there are many seating options. You can either sit indoors or outdoors. For indoors, you can sit at a table near the window, a table made private by bead curtains, or find a seat at the bar. The restaurant aesthetics is white. It's made colorful by the food that arrives at your table. If you order tea, they give you your own personal tea pot which the staff attentively refill. The service was wonderful and the staff was kind. The food was delicious and came out fast. A good selection of items to choose from, with changing daily specials. Overall, a great experience and perfect for a lunch date. They validate parking! After lunch, I went to the farmers market across the street for an hour. The parking ended up only $1.

Nora B.

Yelp
Why oh why do sushi restaurants put mayonnaise in their rolls and not say so?!? In my opinion, mayo has no place in sushi ever but certainly not without warning! I am by no means an afficianado but enjoy a few rolls when they're fresh. I ordered delivery and even called to make sure the California roll was real crab and didn't have mayo (have been fooled before) but unbeknownst to me, the popcorn shrimp and jalapeno roll did have it The un-poisoned California roll was fine but they seemed to have rushed the order. The rice was falling off and all the rolls stuck together, there wasn't enough ginger or wasabi. It was...fine but my search for excellent sushi roll delivery WITHOUT MAYONNAISE continues.

philip s.

Yelp
This is a horrible sushi place!! Girl friend got food poisoning from fish. I should've known from walking into the place when it wasn't crowded at night on a weekend not to go here. They can make a good crab roll, but the toro was disgusting. The baked crab roll was the worst I've had, and the rest of it not very good. The appetizer free little bowl they give you in the beginning is disgusting, everyone should be fired there. This place does not belong in Culver City. We need a good restaurant. I would recomend spending your money at a better place or at least one that won't make you sick!!

Dan P.

Yelp
It was ok, nice spot. They had some interesting fish options. Sushi wise it was just ok for me. I think Sugarfish is much better. The Toro was really good here though. For the price it needs to be better than other places for me to give 5 stars

chris c.

Yelp
3 of us ate here last Saturday night before seeing a show. The service was fast, efficient and friendly and the food was excellent. Im very picky about sushi and this place was solid to excellent. All very fresh, especially uni. They also passed my tempura test - hot, crispy, juicy with obviously clean oil.

Carolyn K.

Yelp
Had the first amazing meal of 2022 in LA! We enjoyed Octopus carpaccio (delicious), jellyfish sashimi, chawan mushi (so great for cold weather), nasu miso (we always order this), and baby squid in a teriyaki like sauce. Plus the sake sample. Always amazing!

Shirra P.

Yelp
Second time here, it's been a few years. Still dirty here, it obvious the owner doesn't take pride in their restaurant and yet charges their customers like a 4 star restaurant. Second observation is that they are not friendly. It's like ur doing them a favor coming here. The fish for the most part fresh, but with all the other things wrong, I have to remember not to return. And they have homeless ppl walking around who unfortunately aren't stable. And that's kinda scary if you're sitting outside and want to chill. Also, they don't tell u there is a happy hour menu. That to me wasn't transparency. That spoiled it for me. Not that menu was that great, but to conceal that was a choice from my server. I was vocal about the unfriendliness and transparency, hope they don't spit in my food. Perhaps pick up is a better way to go.

Yelp
One of the best Japanese takeout options on the west side. Their menu has great varieties. Though the prices are a bit higher than some other places, foe the quality, it's worth it. One of their best items is the Deluxe Chirashi box. We ordered 3 of them as none of the 3 of us would settle for anything else! And we were all very happy with our choice! Great assortment of fish, all fresh and tasty, sweet sweet sweet shrimp, and fresh store made wasabi. Easy pickup- you can park in the Trader Joe's parking structure and walk just a few steps to the store front.
