I have been there for many times. Foods are pretty good. Seekh kebab and naan are so nice. I specifically don’t like the way their customer service. Always takes time to serve food to the customer. Normally you will not get food within 20/25 minutes. Which is not acceptable as a takeaway restaurant. Every time I try to get there people are shouting about their order because of being late. I tried the lamb chops and it was delicious and perfectly cooked, but again the time issue. Very very very small and cosy place they do not even have a proper waiting area to pickup the order. I hope if the owner take care the issues seriously it will be the best desi food station.

Kababish is my favorite place to go since 2014. I moved out from NYC but still I try to manage to get food from their store. Last time, I ordered beef, I came home and found it was chicken kabab even though I paid for beef. I just got home and opened the order. Guess what ? Food was uncooked again. Please stop doing it.

I am extremely disappointed with my order. The naan was completely burnt, and I couldn't serve it to my guests. Additionally, the kababs were not fully cooked. I paid $54 for this order, and it was a waste of money. I hope you can address this issue and provide a solution.

I measure other restaurants against this one now. The restaurant is tiny and packed midday, but compensates with tasty dishes and good service. The dishes show exceptional preparation. Staff knows the menu while maintaining warmth. I'm planning to return to sample different menu items.

Corner store with barely enough standing room space takeout located in Jackson Heights. Don't let the tight quarters and simple kitchen fool you. This spot has been serving authentic and mouthwatering flavors of Pakistan/India for years. They are busy round the clock with customers making a beeline to taste their fare.

The place is super packed and busy most of the time, but compared to that the food is not up to the mark. I took beef shish kebab and kebab roll. Both of them felt like not fresh and the kebab roll was also cold. But their tea is the star of that place. I would highly recommend that.

Was disappointed. Ordered the chicken kebab roll. The amount of chicken was not enough. Would have been better if they doubled the amount of chicken. Tasted more of the onions and cabbage than the chicken. Chicken itself was not that flavorful. I did like the bread/roll though. Also needed more sauce. Roll was $4.50. I'd give it a 5/10. Chicken kebab by itself I think is $3. I would recommend merit kebab over kababish.

I haven't had a roll or chai this good since being in Bangladesh or India. Oh. My. Goodness. I would eat here daily if I lived nearby and be so happy. At least get a daily chai. $1/cup?! Are you kidding me?? It's so good. Perfect balance of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and a touch of sweetness. Or a $2 chicken kebab or $3 beef kebab that's heavenly?! I'm thinking about moving nearby just for this place

So when it comes to Pakistani cuisine, this hole in the wall take out place is probably the best in Jackson Heights. The area is swamped with Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Pakistani and indian food and shops, and if you are out with a family, this may not be the place to go as there is absolutely no seating in there. This is strictly a take out place. The food is delicious, specially the chicken kababs. Their Haleem and Nihari also is probably the best in the area. The first time, I just walked in by accident just to see what this place was. After having a conversation with their main chef, he tempted me to try their Haleem as a taste test and the rest is history. From there on, whenever I am in Jackson heights, I pick up food from here. The cuisine and style is mostly from Karachi, the spice level is a bit on the higher side, but if you really want to exercise your taste buds, this is the place to go. Downside: Parking is tough in that neighborhood as it is so crowded. You may have to circle around to find parking at a bit distant.

Do not go for the ambiance or decor--as there is none. Instead, do invest in the tasty dishes offered in this humble establishment. The young and old employees are very respectful and sincere and do a great job of serving individual needs. Being Pakistani and Hyderabadi, I am very proud of the delicious food served here. I wish they had more of an in-service dining system but hey, even dives deliver!

The restaurant delivers quality throughout every aspect. From staff training to food quality, it shows. Our approach focused on group sampling of many dishes. The staff showed remarkable friendliness. The dining experience is exceptional!

This place is definitely not your typical sit-down fancy restaurant, but it's a hidden gem with some of the best Bihari kebab in NY and the best gola kebab I've ever had. It's a craving that makes me drive 45 minutes to an hour from eastern Long Island just to enjoy it. Pair it with some buttered naan, and it's just perfection! Can the place be cleaner? Yes, of course--it's really not the most appealing looking. However, the incredible food more than makes up for it.

Everytime I'm in NYC and in the Jackson Heights neighborhood, I stop by here. The best kebabs ever, the gola kebab, while too spicy for my bf, is a must-have for me. Will keep coming back.

Got Chicken Charga for the first time, firstly it was expensive but most importantly was burnt!!

Ordered on seamless at 6:25 Reached out to restaurant and Seamless CS multiple time every hour on the hour until 10pm. No food Food is good but this place is run by Sales and service rejects. I think my drive are my good, threw it away, and won't home to watch Seinfeld reruns. We literally went to be crying and hungry. Silly Seamless agent had no accountability, refunded my dollar amount, and disconnected my chat without notice. Disappointed dude . The good is only as good as the people behind it

We Uber-eats this place all the time. This came highly recommended from a friend who knows his biryani's and kebabs. The chicken tikka and kebabs are some of the best we've had. The biryani is good too, a bit spicier than you would expect a biryani to be. Now, I feel compelled to say, that I always had a sneaky feeling this place would fail a hygiene check, if they ever had one done. I need to preface this statement by saying, I had never been to the place before. But we found ourselves in Jackson Heights recently and saw Kababish across the street. We thought, what the hell. Lets take out a pick up order. And I wish we hadn't because everything about the kitchen and storefront was questionable. There was maybe one person with disposable gloves on working on orders. There were curries that had been laid out buffet style for lord knows, how long. I saw a review here that said they found a roach in their biryani - I fully believe that to be true. It's one of those places where you simply don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. Honestly, the food is really decent. Try your best to not imagine where the food was made and you'll be good. And hope for the best that you don't find other protein in your food, that you didn't ask or pay for.

I wanted to try the infamous Pakistani kata kat dish, but it wasn't available on the ordering app. Might have to be ordered in advance. Instead, I got the beef nihari and chicken biryani. The food here is on the spicy side. I didn't like the beef nihari much. The sauce had a lot of oil and they gave 2 pieces of tough meat. I didn't taste much flavor from all the oil. The chicken biryani was good and the meat is nice and tender. Rice was flavorful but spicy. The raita that came with it was nice and thick. Complimentary salad of onions, cabbage, and lettuce comes with each order. They do pepper a little cayenne or red pepper onto the salad though.

Service was fast and friendly. The place looked a little run down but definitely had a lot of character, I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn't gotten the chicken biryani. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing at the wrong day, but it definitely smelled a lot better than it tasted. The rice was just spicy and bland, not a lot of flavor besides bland. The portions are huge though, so that is a plus. If you are to visit, I would recommend getting anything but the chicken biryani.

So I will by zero means pretend to be an expert on Bangladeshi food, but my two Bangladeshi friends took me to Jackson Heights yesterday and they just ordered and I got to eat, which is literally my ideal day. Of all 4 spots we went to, Kababish was probably the least good. Not to say it wasn't good, but the other places were just better. We got samosas here - one was some kind of blended meat and was okay. This one spiced chicken samosa we got was probably the best, it's the smaller one. The big, big samosa has good dough but the filling was a little bland. Overall I think there just seemed to be better places in the area and my friends agreed.

Ordered food. 2 nihari,2 haleem 8 naan, 1 beef bihari.. called them at 9:42, and it is 1040 and they still have not made it. Claiming the tandoor had to be warmed up and to add insult to the injury said haleem is finished

What do you do when you're hungry at 3am and the train is skipping your stop? Head for the place Action Bronson chatted up in F*ck That's Delicious, that's what! I got two chicken kebabs and two samosas, because that's what they had left at that hour and I wasn't feeling the look of the stuff that was sitting out in the trays all day. The kebabs come with lettuce, onion, and jalapenos. They also gave me three containers of their yogurt sauce, which ended up being the perfect amount. And they packaged everything really nicely, each component of the meal was wrapped tight in it's own foil ensuring the food made it safely home. But I dug into that nonsense right on the street. Couldn't wait! And that chicken, my god that chicken. I was disappointed that I couldn't try another meat but this was so incredibly delicious. The meat was so tender I was convinced it was actually making my mouth water while I was eating it. And the spices they use add a serious kick, heat yes, but also herbacious, my tongue tingled a bit with each bite. The samosas were ok, it's the end of the night so it's hard to judge. BUT, the next day I heated them up with the leftover chicken, then added the lettuce, peppers, onions and yogurt sauce on top of it all in a bowl and wow, this is beautiful thing. It just comes together so well. Filling, tasty, fresh, affordable, and open at ungodly hours - how can you go wrong? You can't. Get on into this hole in the wall, take it to go, and smile.

Food quality needs to improve and service is too poor also they serve people based on face value and their own country people first not by maintain the serial which is not right.

If you like hole in the walls, then this is a place you should check out! I came here last week with my brother, and we placed an order for pick up. The chicken tikka is the only thing I've really tried from here. But it's made to order , so it's fresh and delicious! It's a bit Spicy for me, but I still enjoy eating it. The place is legit super tiny, and it can be packed full of people. But the food is worth the trip!

The saturation of Indian / Bangladeshi / Pakistani places in Jackson Heights is so heavy that establishments like Kebabish tend to get overlooked. There is a lot to appreciate at this no-nonsense joint and despite some highs and lows, Kababish is definitely worth checking out, especially for those with a curious palate. Like many spots in the neighborhood, this place would have the word "dive" written all over it. Approach the counter where a myriad of curries and stews, various meat appetizers await. Someone from the kitchen will take your order as you peruse their overhead menu of various classics and specials. The setup is more take out friendly than sit down, but casual meals aside, it's really all about preference here. I'll start with the things that I didn't like that much: * Their delivery packaging is suspect. Sometimes the plastic is wrapped so hard that it ends up being in the food. * I won't lie, I am not feeling a lot of their curries: chicken tikka masla is not strength, clearly. I would also throw their the gola beef kabab in the bunch. * Service is efficient, but it's also not great either. First timers might find this somewhat off-putting, especially to newbies to the cuisine. * Don't ask to use the restroom. Hold it. To the things I really enjoy: * Their seekh kebab is some of the best I've had. * Brains. Offal. Organ meats. You can have it all here. (See "Tawa Kata-Kat" on their specialty menu) * Big ups to the biryani here. The rice is as fragrant as all the other things from meats to eggs to condiments throughout the dish. * Their stuffed naan and samosas are strangely addicting. I always need more than one. No place is perfect and Kebabish is definitely in line with all the above. I am still finding myself coming here regularly with a craving for meats on skewers and heartily stuffed breads. The prices are still very affordable and I appreciate the non-pretentious vibe.

It was a chaotic scene with uncles respecting personal space, NOT!! Packed like a sardine can, I waited to convey my order while other voices shouted in Urdu and Bangla, "Aik chai day do, aray meri naan kider hai, hum 10 min sai karan hai.." I ordered nihari, chicken karahi, beef Bihari kabab and raita. In retrospect I should've ordered x2 beef bihari kabab and 1 chicken kabab -- the Bihari kabab was so FRESH, HOT and DELICIOUS, each bite was worth setting ablaze the hard palette... numerous times The staff were outnumbered by the contentious hangry crowd. First time ordering here. I ordered 4 chicken kebabs, 1 beef kebab, 2 garlic naan and THE EXCITING CHICKEN BIRYANI!! I was excited to eat some Indian food until half way through my meal I saw a ROACH IN MY BIRYANI !!!Horrible!! So I called them for a refund and they asked me to bring the food. Upon arrival to discuss my cockroach issue with their food the guy at the front tells me that's it's a F-ING CHILI!!! THIS DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A CHILI !!! So I asked show me the chili and they didn't bring it!! then he picks up the bug and splits it in half to show me. I asked him to eat it!! But he doesn't and throws it aside and gives me a refund for just the rice! $11!!!! WTH, is wrong with this place!! I just left knowing I'll charge back! Eat at your own risk people!!

Had a late night craving for Biriyani. Thought what the hell, id give this place a try. To be honest.. If you guys had the option to order from Raj's indian cuisine in LIC, do IT. You will not be disappointed. There was only 2 pieces of chicken, part of a breast and part of a "thigh" It was mainly bones. The samosas were extremely small, no bigger than a paper football. Dont be like me, and order when there was only 3 minutes left on ubereats. Always look up reviews first!

Been buying regularly from this place.. But from past couple of time the quality is going so down. Today it just crossed the limits. They gave no raita and salad and there was a peice of PLASTIC in the Kabab!! Be careful when you eat there. Shows how carelessly they prepare their food.

Loved this place!! $5 for two chicken kebabs?? Sign me up! If I worked close enough I'd probably get this every day for the rest of my life. The chicken kebab was spicy and came with a really good greenish sauce. It tasted like ground chicken which i wasn't expecting but quite enjoyed! They also threw in a bit of salad and some onions for free which I really appreciated. I was stuffed after the two chicken logs. This is the perfect place if you need a quick, cheap lunch that will keep you full throughout the day. It's not so much of a sit down place (although there is some limited seating for you to eat and run) but really great for quick take out. Will be back soon!

Delicious spicy Pakistani food! My favorites are the Beef Nihari and Gola Kabob. Beef Nihari is a bowl of thick spicy gravy with 2 or three pieces of meat. Get with one or two naans and dip them in. The beef is very soft and tender. The gravy has a pepper I haven't tasted before. It's an amazing unique flavor. FYI it doesn't come with a lot of meat. Gola Kabob is a hockey puck sized container of spicy meat paste. Spread it on a naan. It's so good! The naan is cooked in a tandoori. They will be cooking different kabobs on metal sticks although I haven't tried them. That seems to be the most popular order though. It's a take out place. Most dishes come with yogurt sauce and a lettuce/onion/jalapeño. The food is very spicy. None of the workers will be speaking English when you go in but they all speak it. Try this place if you like unique spicy food. Truly amazing!

Its an awesome take away restaurant. Best Chicken kababs I had in NYC during my trip, and I tried kababs from 5 different highly rated restaurants. Tandoori fish takes a while to make but I would recommend that too. Big servings, great food and low prices. They give salad and yougurt generously. Soft and fluffy kababs, everything is great.

Why didn't i read my own review before going there again? I ordered 4 dishes, $65 later, all but one was inedible. The goat brain was so spicy, i nearly threw up from coughing so much. The Nihari (my favorite dish) also so spicy i couldn't eat it. The CTM was good. The shami kabobs were a disaster. I don't know if they taste the food before they sell it, there is no flavor just heat. Never Again!

California native finds himself making a quick east coast trip to visit family. Kababish is a restaurant name we've all heard of down there but today I found myself touring Jackson heights only to spot the name on the banner. Cold and raining we decided to try it even though the neighborhood was too Desi and the kababish restaurant looked yucky from the outside in. Might need a tetanus shot after I felt but what the hell. Let's go for it! We ordered keema naan (amazing) Nehari (very good) Garlic naan ( nicely done) Chicken masala (meh) Kabob (not bad) Over all 4 stars for the food and the takeout ambience is bleh! Still worth ordering and eating without a doubt.

Every now and then you go to a restaurant looking for food and what you get is an experience. Let me start off with a disclaimer - if you can't handle spicy stuff or if you are vegetarian, you probably won't find a lot of options. It really is just one among many delicious holes in the wall in the Jackson Heights neighborhood. My wife and I bond over cuisine from the subcontinent even though we've been eating it all our lives, so we were really looking forward to this visit. We took the subway to 74th and Roosevelt from the Pennsylvania Hotel just to eat here on a chilly winter morning. We ordered the 'gola' (also known as Sutli kabab in some areas) along with a bunch of other stuff and everything was simply delicious. If I was in the tristate area I'd come back every week. I hope they find the strength and courage to not just survive but prosper in these difficult times. Highly recommended.

had this for takeout and I ate it in the car. I regret not taking pictures but it will be too messy. Plus I don't want to cause a mess since it wasn't even my car. Anyway, this is one of those food that definitely took me by surprise! Had double chicken kebab wrapped in naan bread, stuffed with some shredded cabbage and BOY it was incredible! The kebab was so juicy and packed a TON of flavor. I have no idea how much spice they put in, but the aroma will punch you in the face (in all the good ways). The texture was perfect! It's a little bit spicy, but I think it was incredible. Somehow it gets better with every bite. The bread texture is PERFECT! It's chewy and warm, it soaks all the sauce and juiciness of the kebab, and it's delicious! Plus the size is massive. On top of that the price is very cheap for what you get. Super duper love it!

This place either has the worse service you can imagine or just racists. I would like to believe it's the service but sadly after trying to give this place 6 tries since my friend likes it, it seems like they discriminate. First few times I waited forever and watched countless amount of ppl get served before me. I figured maybe a language issues so I had my paki friend order for pick up the last 3 times and make it easier. No difference they didn't even acknowledge me while there. He had to come out the car and say the same thing I said and was served immediately. I'm more then happy to help friends out but not with that amount of disrespect this place has shown. I understand you want to only serve your own but I don't think you are in the right spot for that.

WoW! Saw this place on Action Bronson's show on Vice ... and the review and experience they shared was spot on! Small spot - so best to take it to go ... get a chicken samosa while you wait. The filling was so very flavorful. Got the chicken kabob roll to share, which was much bigger than I expected. Kabob was a really good flavor and with the fresh salad and whatever sauce they put on there, it was perfection. The naan with the kabob, as well as the garlic naan I had to go were delicious. If in this neighborhood often, def make it a go to spot! And if driving through, a solid place amongst all the others in that area.

2 things on the menu stand out and that's what they're known for a. Gola kebab melts in your mouth get it with paratha there will be golas coming out the next day and you'll feel it but no pain no gain B. The Bihari kebab soft juicy spicy worth it

The worker without gloves, making the food and touching his nose in front of the customer is so nasty and disgusting. I don't advise nobody to eat from them I wish give them less than one star

Best beef seekh kabobs in NY, hands down. The simplicity the taste with Chatni sauce and the salad on the side with Naan; this place has a reputation that is second to none. A hole in a wall, no seating strictly take out. Did I mention coal fired grill and clay oven tandoor which makes the food taste so much better, yes! A real tandoor is indispensable to bake the most tasty breads as well as any 'tandoori' and most 'tikka' dishes, and of course "kabobs". There is just no other kitchen appliance that can provide the 500°F necessary to do the job. You can try all you want in an oven, the results will never taste nearly half as good. I've been coming here for many many years and they seem to be unparalleled when it comes to consistency. On a side note order ahead; everything is made per order, don't be surprised for the wait time.

Their good quality is pretty good. Meat is tender. Spice level is perfect. Portions are average I guess. Wish they had more items on their menu.

Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. I placed a recent order for Palak paneer, beef gola kebab, and plain rice for delivery. When my order arrived I received the rice and two dishes I did not order. As any rational person would, I called the restaurant to resolve the issue. When I told the gentleman on the phone anbout the situation his response was silence. After doing this three times I asked him to correct my order. At this point the gentleman states that they were out of my dishes and he changed them because they were the same price. Excuse me?!? Wut? I asked for a refund and the gentleman hung up on me. I called back a few times and was hung up on every time I asked for a refund. I've attached a photo clearly showing that the items I received are not the ones I ordered.

Chicken Biryani was so salty. It tasted as if it was boiled in salt water. It's sad how a place where Andrew Zimmern visited couldn't even make a chicken biriyani.

Our friend ordered Chicken Tikka boneless and chicken kababs for delivery for her, me and my husband and we requested on Yelp/Grubhub to NOT make them spicy so my husband can eat it. When we tried both, they were so hot that even our friend who would add cayenne pepper to her beverages had a hard time eating them. I know this is a South Asian restaurant but why completely ignore requests for any order? Are they trying to hide the fact that their food isn't fresh by adding extra spice? Kababish, looks like you've lost 3 customers (and more because we're going to tell other friends to stay away from you) -

Went for the chicken kebabs. This place is small so keep in mind it'd be very difficult to social distance. When I arrived there was already a gentleman inside so when he placed his order and left I went in. While they were preparing my food the same man came back in and I stepped out and waited outside therefore I didn't see my food until I got home. I was surprised at the size of the kebabs and they were excellent as well. Will give this place another visit the next time I'm in the area.

Place looks dirty. I ordered the Gola Kebab. It wasn't all that great compared to other places I've had it. The late night hours makes this place convenient. I'm going to try other places in the area.

nom nom! Cutest little hole in the wall spot in jackson heights. It's always such a pain getting out there but definitely worth the trip for this spot! FOOD: DEE-LISH! very impressed! quite honestly, i wasnt expecting much of this place since its a very small to-go restaurant, with staff that seemed a little all over the place but somehow they made it work. We got the garlic naan, chicken makhani curry, and chicken kabobs. every single dish was delicious! I would say be cautious of spiciness though for those who cant handle spice..they naturally make every dish spicy. PRICE: SO HAPPYYYY, we spent $30 for a whoooole bunch of food, and the owner is very friendly, he threw in extra sauce, raita (a yogurt dressing), and chopped onions for free! Just beware to bring cash - it's not cash only but i believe there was a pretty high card minimum so if you're dining alone, definitely bring cash. ATMOSPHERE: like i said, hole in the wall spot, so find a cute place to go afterwards. we picked it up and headed back to the apartment to eat it over some netflix - perfect night in. WILL I BE BACK? Definitelyyyyy! Want to show this spot to my parents too, they generally dont like eating south asian food out since its not the most authentic but this place is the best authentic food in jackson heights and gives you the best bang for your buck too!

It was our great restaurant before we went there last Sunday from westchester county for there kebabs. But it was down grade from kebabs no taste, naan was rock, and chicken baldi no taste at all. The service was extremely bad they forgot to take our order finally the waiter came took our order from his iPhone not written paper it was biggest joke. If I was the owner I would fire him immediately. Then finally I ask for the check they took my card and they forgot me again looking for my bill n the credit card. Business is not easy you have focus on the service, cleanliness and food good luck

Today 3/3/2019 ,I placed an order of kima nan, i live in East meadow 25 miles away from this location what they did with me pack totally burnt nan. What a surprise for me.I also try to post pics see.

Favorite spot for kabab rolls! The kabab rolls are thick and juicy unlike any other spots in Queens filled with spices.

Food here is awesome. Stopped in on my food adventure and ordered the chicken kebabs, beef kebabs, vegetable samosas, chicken samsosas, and a garlic naan. Unfortunately, they were out of lamb kebabs. The beef and chicken kebabs were hot, fresh, and spicy. Spicy enough for me to call it spicy means it's probably too spicy for many people, but I greatly enjoyed it. They were cooked as I ordered, I could see the guy putting the seasoned meat mixture on the skewer then throwing it on the grill. The samosas were premade and reheated, but they were good. As usual, I still like the potato stuffed vegetable samosas more than the chicken one. I think the samosas at Rajbhog in Jersey City are still better though. The garlic naan was made fresh to order. Mine went straight from the tandoor, to foil, to my mouth. It was excellent. Knocking a star off for service. For such a small spot, (standing room for less than 10) they need quicker service. People need to get in and out. I was ignored for a few minutes when the rest of the line had ordered (I like to think it's because I'm big and intimidating). Maybe keep some meat grilling and some naan baking since it seems like what everyone orders.

Hole-in-the-wall. The kebabs are great and earns the whole three stars Itself, however, the way the orders are taken is chaotic and can be done a bit more organized. If I didn't know Hindi, Urdu or Bengali, I'd be afraid to order. But I don't know what else can be expected for a place like this. Aside from that, make sure you have someone who is knowledgable on Pakistani cuisine to guide you through the process.
