Spice Trade opens in fall 2019 in Greenwood Village | Eater Denver

"Debuting at the airport this summer, this will be the first retail shop from a roaster who already sells Ethiopian beans online. Located on the west side of the main terminal, the shop will feature light-roast Ethiopian coffee as its centerpiece, alongside local kombucha, fruit smoothies, pastries and grab-and-go items; the owner roasts about 15 pounds of coffee a day and currently operates a jewelry kiosk at the airport." - Susan Stapleton

Google
Kabod has yummy coffee and drinks. And the lady working tonight was pleasant and welcoming. I decided to get the Peppermint Mocha and it's good.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered a blueberry scone, and after one bite I noticed it tasted off. Looking closer, there was visible mold on it. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, they denied it was mold and refused to do anything about it. Not only was the food quality concerning, but the way the situation was handled…. Unbelievable!!!!

I come here all the time after my shift and it never disappoints. I usually either get the chocolate crossaint, white chocolate mocha, or one of the smoothies. Especially, Jansey, Inno, and Thorn. They’re always a great sport and super friendly, they always make my experience here very pleasant and I’m always satisfied with my order. If you are ever at DEN Terminal, make sure you go upstairs to level 6 and check these guys out! 100% recommend.

Google
Worst experience ever. Ordered 2 protein smoothies and 2 pastries—waited 25 mins, got only 1 smoothie. Had to get back in line and repay for the second one they forgot. Watched them make it—no protein, glass barely ¾ full. Told her to fix it, she just dumped ice in to fake it. Staff was rude, careless, and unprofessional. Never coming back.

Google
Jepperson terminal location: wonderful no wait. Quality latte and espresso. They offered to warm the blueberry scone. It wasn’t too sweet - yeah! I love the competition to Starbucks.

Google
Matcha latte is quite good. A little sweet. The only downside is the price but it's an airport so that's expected.

Google
We ordered a cold brew and a cappuccino. They charge for milk substitute. Overall prices were double what they should be. The cold brew might be one of the worst coffees I've had along with the cappuccino quite flavorless. Don't be tempted by the average star review. All the recent reviews reflect the place quite accurately.

Google
It is not appropriate to call this a specialty coffee roaster. They use a gas station machine styled automatic push and brew and it’s so weak I abandoned it to find real coffee. The food is at least two days old dead and dry (also threw out) basically this place is junk other that the kind folks working here.

Yelp
When Kabod had to close down shop in Northfield, my husband and I were devastated because that was our usually Sunday stop after running groceries. Now, whenever I'm at the airport and I have a later return flight, I try to make an effort to stop by and get a delicious coffee from one of my favorite coffee shops. The service can be a little slow because of the location of this coffee shop, however it's worth the wait. They use premium Ethiopian beans for their coffee and you can truly taste the difference. If you're at DIA, make sure to make a stop by the shop, it's located on the west side of the airport on level 5.

Yelp
This is a review for the Kabod Coffee location of terminal B in the Denver airport. Service was fine and quick. The ambiance is fine, I guess, but this location doesn't have any seating and is just for taking orders to go. The menu only lists the drinks and advertises all day breakfast, but the breakfast items aren't listed on the menu. If I wanted to see a pastry, I could just see a pastry from the display case and choose one, but for other breakfast items, I wasn't sure what they had. I heard someone else order a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, so I thought that maybe they would have bagels with other toppings. They asked me if I wanted a bacon, egg, and cheese, or sausage, egg, and cheese, and when I said neither, they said they are premade but can take those items off. That isn't okay with me because the "juices" from those foods would seep into the bagel. They offered a veggie burrito, so that's what I ended up ordering. There wasn't much in it--it was pretty flat and it was mostly the tortilla, and it came out to $9.71. I would definitely support this business over Starbucks for sure (I try to support local businesses/Black-owned businesses), but I would order coffee here and skip the breakfast items. The Starbucks nearby had a massive line... why?! Support local!

Yelp
Not sure of this location is exactly where I'm standing but half mile away apparently. Maybe this is new where I am now. Honey and Americano of 6 shots being prepared and is just as good as can be. I'll be back

Yelp
Coffee isn't good, they only offer almond milk or soy for alternatives, and have no decaf. As a flight attendant I stop here frequently because it's close to a lot of our gates, but I would make the walk to Lavazza, Aviano, or Starbucks instead. Just stopped today and it is now $10 for a latte, the prices are getting too much for coffee. I wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
We love having a drink here to support the minority owned business. They are a little slow in service sometimes as they don't seem to have a flow down. But they are usually sweet and since we are not in a hurry, we don't mind. Their smoothies are tasty. They were out of the one I wanted but I picked another. And he had a coffee. We will be back.

Yelp
I ordered a smoothie here and the staff served the cup with smoothie spilled all over it. He handed me a couple of paper towels and had me clean it up. Mind you, a couple of paper towels wasn't enough to clean it without getting my hands all dirty. The jumble smoothie was alright. They do use real fruit as advertised, but majority of the drink is concentrated juice.

Yelp
This was in the Denver International Airport and you can access it after arrivals. We were waiting for some friends to fly in, and had some time to chill after getting our bags. I ordered an Iced Chai Latte and it was actually pretty good. Not too sweet, but just the perfect amount of chai/cinnamon. Service was fast and kind! Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Tried to order a PPPeach blended smoothie. It was 6:50 and I asked if I could get said drink. Unidentified balding male worker responded with a "no" in kinda a half laugh, half smarta$$ smirk. I asked why not, are you guys closed, to which he responded "no" in the same rude manor. I said, are you out of some of the ingredients, to which he responded, no, I've just cleaned up and am not making any more blended drinks...I responded again, oh so your closed, to which he responded no, I'm just not making any more blended drinks. So then I assumed...the place must close at 7...nope...it's 7:10 right now and the lights are still on and the guy is still standing there not doing anything. Now it looks like he is pouring a coffee for a customer. Not sure if this place is good elsewhere, but I would avoid wanting a drink there after this guy cleans the blender...would hate to have him clean one more blender instead of standing around playing on his phone when it slows down at the end of the day.

Yelp
Enjoyed friendly, prompt service and a couple of oatmilk lattes. The fresh banana we were looking for was available. We will be back!

Rebecca W.

Yelp
The coffee is good, the person behind the counter was absolutely lovely. I wanted to leave a tip on my card and Inwas told to not worry about it because the staff doesn't get the tips. There is an option to leave a tip on a card, but who is getting them?? The owners of the business?? This is obscene. The person working and earning the tip that is being given should be the ones to receive it, or if they are not allowed tips for whatever dumb ass reason, the option to tip on a card needs to be removed. Unbelievable.

Yelp
Coffee quality is ok, was expecting the richness of an Ethiopian bean, but most coffees are made using an automatic machine vs espresso machine. Lastly, the lady who was taking orders was making many mistakes with customers ahead of us, when we got to our drink, she made the wrong drink and then expected us to reorder a new drink, bad customer service.

Eleri S.

Yelp
My coffee was really way too sweet and undrinkable. It tasted like the coffee you get out of gas station machines. I asked for a refund but they refused to give me one. The teller was rude when she wouldn't help me even though I asked nicely. I'm disappointed as it was an $8 coffee.

Yelp
My rating is based solely on the service. The food/drink was good. Nothing to rave about, but it was good. The service however was absolutely awful. I was giving my order and the lady seemed to be frustrated because she didn't understand what my order was. It felt super hostile and uncomfortable

Yelp
Attempt 3 at posting a review so we will be short snd simple. Owner doesn't pay employees and Blames the banks and when the employee stands up to her she fires them and they still never receive the checks she paid out of her personal account for me and many other employees snd later find out that she put Me as her online jewelry company employees which is very illegal and threatened to charge me for harassment when all I asked for was a copy of my pay agreement contract and blocked me after I quit die to her husband getting less than an inch away from my face and threatened me and the owner mulu said she saw the cameras and I'm lying and refused to pull up the camera footage. Her northfield location closed when I quit and when other employees got fired or quit due to not receiving paychecks then karma takes it course snd she gets evicted snd is still charged rent and taking her landlord to court because she claimed it was closed due to covid and not her scamming ways. I have video, photo and text proof of it all and that's why she doesn't allow anyone to see my reviews but never threatened to take legal action because she knows she will get shut down and most likely do jail time. Don't be surprised if you end up with a court case because after posting a review 3 times of detailed first hand experience of the truth of her company and it's just deleted, I'm very tempted... but I'll try to be a better person than what you claim be and let it go or i might not and make sure your whole team knows they will go down with you if I chose to take action but for now, knowing you are trying everything to silence me and the truth that many other employees and many customers who used to support you because you know it will be the end of your buisness owning days and a life changing and soon to be legal record changing sooner than later is fun to sit back and make you wonder what will happen. Good luck and remember who made your business grow as big as it is now because without that you would still be a small shop barely making 200 dollars a day and having a second chance at the same failed business.
