"No surprise that one of the finest restaurants in the city would have a high-caliber cocktail lounge attached to its hip, and this one pops. The lounge isn’t large, but the star power certainly is, as are the bangin’ cocktails borne from the mind of Shen Zhou, infusing Japanese and Southeast Asian ingredients and flavors. Oh, the lounge’s food menu, borne from the mind of James Beard-nominated chef Henry Moso, is a perfect complement." - Faiyaz Kara

The food here is delicious. Super talented chef. But there is one item that I would not recommend here and that is the sweet potato gnocchi. It’s a potato gnocchi made with pumpkin but I didn’t get the pumpkin taste, I got the flavor of smoke . Like a smoked cheesy taste, which was off putting. Everything else on the menu is delicious, plated beautifully and leaves you feel satisfied. The lounge is nice to sit with your husband or significant other on these nice sofas and get served on a small dining table which brings on a whole different vibe. #tryit

Best sushi in town!

Yelp
Kabooki is a classic restaurant that i frequently recommend to people, especially if they are not from the area and looking for a good place for dinner. It has been a staple for my friend group and I for a nice girls night out for a few months now. The atmosphere is casual, yet romantic and great for dates and group dinners alike. Service is always very attentive, but can be a tad slow when it is very busy, which is expected. The food as always was delicious. The yellowtail hamachi was fabulous, we had to order a second one for the table because it was such a hit. Kabooki has the best spicy tuna roll I've tried in Orlando, and the LV and bookibooki roll are also staples in our dinner order. I am a huge espresso martini person, and Kabooki espresso martini does not disappoint. I will say that the desserts were not anything to write home about, but we still enjoyed them. I don't think we will be ordering them again though. A very delicious visit, and I can't wait to return

Yelp
Every single piece of fish that has graced my taste buds at this establishment has absolutely just melted in my mouth. My boyfriend and I have made it a New Year's Day tradition to come here for dinner to ensure our first dinner of the New Year is a foodgasmic experience. We always get different appetizer when we come here. The Money Bags and Leche de Tigre are really delicious and solid choices (not pictured here). This time when we came, we picked something off the daily special menu for our appetizer (the Wagyu Carpaccio). LOVED IT. Following our appetizer, we got three of our favorite rolls. The Hokkaido, Hawaii XO, and the Ghost. My favorite thing about Kabooki is that they consistently provide fresh and quality fish in their sushi. That's why after our rolls we were craving some more fish haha. We ended up getting some sashimi of Japanese Flounder and Ruby Snapper as our "dessert". Fear not though, they do have actual sweet dessert if you decide you want dessert. Overall, Kabooki's quality in food and service stand out compared to other sushi restaurants I've been to in the area. You can come here for a casual dinner with friends or an upscale date! Also as an FYI... the parking lot is a little small, but there is complimentary valet!

Angelene L.

Yelp
One of the best sushi experiences I've had in Orlando. Service was great, food was great, drinks were incredible. We spent about $450 for three people with no regrets. Such a cute romantic place.

Oyeyimika O.

Yelp
Everything about this place is perfect! The ambiance is trendy and chic, perfect for date night! Yana was a rockstar server the entire experience. The service was truly the perfect amount of attention! There is also a lot of variety to the menu and every single thing we ate was perfectly balanced. We tried the Hokkaido roll and the booki booki roll which were both great! The tuna tasting was absolutely worth every last penny. We tried a variety of sashimi and nigiri which were all very fresh and amazing but we thoroughly enjoyed the foie gras nigiri. It simply melted in your mouth. The ribs were also the bees freakin' knees! They were fall off the bone tender with amazing flavour. I say all this to say, you simply can't go wrong with Kabooki!

Yelp
Came here late night for some food after checking out Bandbox (definitely recommend - check my review for that place too). We sat at the bar for quicker service and the food was great. I started off with soup and we shared a big roll that was plenty for 2 people. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The interior is cute and I always appreciate a clean restaurant and bathroom.

Yelp
This place has always caught my eye when driving down Colonial, and when we saw it had Magical Dining, we decided to give it a try! Parking is valet only, which is great because the location can be a bit tough to navigate. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Every table was full on a Friday evening. Our server was friendly and prompt. For our appetizers, we ordered the leche de tigre and the hamachi carpaccio. They were plated beautifully and tasted delicious as well. I enjoyed the hamachi more. For our main course, we both ordered the kasai don. The fish was fresh and yummy! For dessert, we ordered the mochi and the C4. The mochi was so frozen that we couldn't even eat it. However, the C4 was soooo good. Overall, this is a great spot for a date night!

Yelp
I recently visited Kabooki Sushi for Magical Dining, and the experience was fantastic! The design of the restaurant was modern and sleek, creating a great atmosphere to meet up with friends. For the first course, I had the Hamachi Crudo. It was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of citrus and spice. The textures were delightful, and it was a refreshing way to start the meal. The second course was the Short Rib. The meat was tender, flavorful, and practically melted in my mouth. It was paired with an exquisite sauce that enhanced the richness of the dish, making it a true standout. For dessert, I had the C4 Cake, a decadent chocolate cake. It was rich, indulgent, and the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Overall, Kabooki Sushi exceeded my expectations. The food, ambiance, and service were all top-notch. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu! Highly recommend!

Yelp
10/10! The Berkwood St Louis Sticky Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavorful that we found ourselves talking about them for days. The Hamachi Carpaccio was another standout, with the ponzu sauce and kefir lime oil perfectly complementing the yellowtail. We also enjoyed the Garlic Togarashi Edamame and Shrimp Tempura. I loved the Bee My Honey cocktail--it had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. My fiancé ordered the Kabooki Old Fashioned and liked the mix of ginger syrup and cherry bark vanilla bitters. The restaurant itself has a contemporary vibe, with low lighting and an intimate atmosphere. The service was great, and we'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
Yhhh the food was OUTSTANDING!!! Honestly it was a little scary because some of these things Ive NEVER heard of. But it's good to take risks. The service was fast but they were as attentive. And the ambiance was very laid back type of vibe. Good for a girls night or a date for sure. It's very quiet besides the other customers in their little convos and it was the perfect lighting to ME. Would definitely go again very soon!

Yelp
Not what I expected on East Colonial. Very nice interior and well staffed. The prices are also not what I expected for that zip code either. Now the important part. Service was top notch. Very attentive and seems as if a different server came by to see us every few minutes. Food was very good. I had two pieces of nigiri. Melt in your mouth yellowtail and tuna. 6 dollars and 9 dollars respectively. For one piece. :( The short rib dumplings were tasty. Four bites was 22 dollars. :( The Booki Booki roll (8piece) was very good. Again melt in your mouth scallop on top. Did not even need soy sauce or wasabi. The chili oil gave a slow heat finish on each bite. 17 dollars The Hokkaido roll (8piece) was also very good with the spicy tuna adding the heat. Flavorful also. 19 dollars Pro Tip. The water comes in three styles. Sparkling, Still or filtered house. Only the filtered house is on the house. However they realized they were not clear or we did not understand and they comp'd the still water we thought was free. I realized the error when she brought a bottle of water. Just be informed. A dining experience I was not expecting across the street from the dying mall. Very good food and the prices reflect it. I will be back.

Yelp
Excellent sushi. Good service, terrible valet.. please work on your parking lot so we don't have to use these guys!

Nicole C.

Yelp
This place is a fan favorite, but this was my first time trying it, and it definitely lived up to expectations. I tried a little bit of everything but my favorite was definitely the coconut udon noodles and the sticky ribs not to mention the Matcha espresso martini was amazing as well!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Food is phenomenal! Love sitting at the sushi bar and watching the chefs prepare all the food. I like to order a little bit at a time because I'll pick more and more items off their menu as I see what's looking extra good in the kitchen. Ambiance is very chic and inviting. They have a whole other room that you can rent privately and is also a very nice environment with a separate bar. This spot can also be a bit chilly so bring a jacket! Service is also pretty nice and they also have a great "Specials" menu that I recommend asking your server about! One of my favorite personal birthday dinners has been here!

Michelle A.

Yelp
Food was good but a little pricey for what it is. Service was also good, the vibe of the place is really fun! I just wish there were more light because I could barely see what I was eating!

Phuong Anh V.

Yelp
Coming back to Kabooki for dinner was absolutely incredible! Servers were quick and friendly! Tuna and sushi rolls were so fresh, and tasty! We got the tomyum sushi roll, it is a must try, interesting tomyum flavor (never had anything like this before) 10/10 recommended to get their desserts, the cakes were so pretty, great flavor, not too sweet, perfect desserts i couldn't stop eating. Love the decor and modern vibe at the restaurant too, perfect for date night!

Christien B.

Yelp
Upscale dining experience with excellent service. Unless you get there right at open, I recommend making a reservation. Well known for unique rolls and delicious dishes, this night out with a friend did not disappoint. We started with Edamame Garlic Kimchi, which has a sauce that is to die for! Don't be afraid to try this as it's not too spicy and the kimchi is pretty mild. For the main meal, I had the Tom Yum roll. It was unique and light in flavor with shrimp, avocado and torched salmon. The Tom Yum aoli on top wasn't my favorite but it definitely added a certain flavor to the roll. My friend had the Hawaii x.o and said it was light and filling. Kabooki has earned a spot as a staple in Orlando's food scene between the lounge vibe, craft cocktails, and unique rolls. It's a great spot for catching up with friends or having a romantic date night.

Yelp
I came in today 1/19 for an anniversary with my girlfriend. We had a 8pm reservation and arrived at 7:52 to make sure we were on time. upon arrival a black haired hostess let us know our table wasn't available and had us sit in the lounge to wait. At 8:40 we still hadn't been called to a table. After watching another couple who had come in after us and had waited about 20 minutes get seated I asked the hostess how much longer it would be and she informed me that the the other hostess hadn't checked us in and we had been waiting for almost an hour for no reason. We were promptly seated after that and received excellent service from our waiter and our food was good. It's disappointing that an establishment like Kabooki has hostesses who perform their role so carelessly. As great as the food is here I will not be coming back as any business who wastes an hour of a customers time isn't a good business.

Meri L.

Yelp
I came here with family and some friends. My cousin has been raving about this place to me for quite some time. When I was visiting for the weekend, we made it our mission to go here! This is not your average every day sushi place. It's more contemporary and devine. We had a reservation for 830PM on a Saturday evening. My guess is that reservations are highly recommended. The atmosphere is nice inside. Nice lighting and welcoming. Our service was top notch. Our waitress was a real rockstar and handled everything we ordered with care. We ordered a bunch of things. Everything comes out of the kitchen as it's ready. Now onto the food.. To start I had a matcha espresso martini. Flavors were very unique and the drink was flavorful! It was a wonderful drink to start the evening with! We ordered a handful of things to share. Everything is a decent size and perfect for sharing. We had nabe, dumplings, roasted duck, two different sushi rolls, tuna tartare and karaage chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious. The flavor profiles of each dish was mouthwatering and delectable. What a euphoric experience! Can't wait to return.

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for a while, the food looked so good! The staff here are great and very attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and very modern. We ordered quite a lot. We started with the Kumamoto Oysters, these were good and very fresh. We also got the Otoro Tartare, it was good but there is a lot of fatty tuna for just two of us. I didn't care for the rice paper cracker served with it. The Nigiri Moriawase was the star of the night. Incredibly delicious and included some very interesting fish I have never had. The drinks here were amazing, I really enjoyed the Lychee Princess. The Haru Scallops were okay, I wouldn't order these again. Lacked flavor. We ended with the Short Rib Dumplings, now these were good! Very interesting combination and delicious. A lot of the food was good and fresh but there was some things that didn't wow us. For the price of their items everything should be amazing. I would come here again for the Nigiri and drinks.

Jenna M.

Yelp
Johnathan (server) was mind blowing. The reason I start with our server is because when you sit down (and you've never been somewhere) and they tell you what you should order (maguro truffle, short ribs, double teaks, ramen, ghost roll... blah blah blah blah blah) and what is the best (and how you should order a certain bottle of wine DAOU Pessimist) --and--- is over and above your expectations then you start mentioning the server at the outset of your review. Don't bother reading my review if you can get your ass in to this restaurant (and it might take you two or three days ) then do it --by the way Sunday is Ramen day so if you're a Ramen person come on Sunday!! UPDATE: dessert!!! Order the Matcha drink from the lounge next-door and dessert Aaagghhhhhh!!! Dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians.

Moriah L.

Yelp
Oh my god this place is fantastic. The parking suuuucks but aside from that everything is incredible. This spot is absurdly cute and has a semi-open kitchen which is really neat. I had the Japanese Highball (fantastic, really well done), shishito peppers (really juicy and flavorful and saucy), leche de Tigre (super interesting appetizer - great flavor combos), and the Kasai Don (some of the best sashimi I've had state side and definitely the best sushi rice). Overall all REALLY enjoyed the meal and the service was fantastic as well. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Jen A.

Yelp
Hurry and go try this place this out if you're in the Orlando area. This was my first time here and I will say they did not disappoint. Out waiter Kimo made sure our first time here was one to remember, so make sure you ask for Kimo as your server. He was very knowledgeable and made sure to make great recommendations and made it fun. We had the Leche de Tigre, followed by some amazing rolls which were the Hawaii X.O, Hakkaido, and Tum yum. And for dessert we had the most amazing Ube cheesecake which was topped with whipped cream. It was so light, airy, and fluffy. We will definitely be going back.

Diana L.

Yelp
I've been to Kabooki several times and I can confidently vouch for the consistently remarkable quality of their sushi. I've enjoyed every piece of fish from their omakase selection during every visit. One standout item on their menu is their wagyu. The wagyu is served raw and accompanied by a hot stone for you to cook. They give you a side of salt and pepper for seasoning so you get to add as little or as much as you like. It's tailor to give you a wagyu experience to match your taste preferences. Highly recommend making a trip to Kabooki for dinner!

Karen L.

Yelp
I picked the restaurant based on reviews and menu. The staff is very friendly and sat us without a reservation although we were told they were completely full. It was very thoughtful since it was a birthday dinner. We ordered a few rolls for the table. They were very small but the ingredients were fresh. Our appetizers were ok. I guess I thought the food would be better based on pictures and reviews. The prices were al little high for very plain rolls. The food was missing flavor and sauce, they were completely plain. We did get soy sauce and wasabi only upon request. The ambiance is kind of romantic and very nicely set up. It was worth a try but I will not be back.

Shannon B.

Yelp
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I've been wanting to try Kabooki for quite some time, but finally had a chance last weekend. a lot of restaurants, when there's a lot of hype about it, when you finally go you're let down a little bit because nothing lives up to the hype. Kabooki is the exception. This restaurant is phenomenal! we ordered the bluefin tasting, the hot stone wagyu, a handful of sushi rolls and the Maguro truffle tasting and all of it was amazing! Our waiter was very helpful, providing suggestions and helping us to curate our menu for the night. 10/10 would recommend if you like sushi and want an amazing experience.

Mel Z.

Yelp
It had been on my list to try and we finally made it for my BIL birthday! I know it took a while but it sure was worth the wait. We made reservations so check in was fast and grateful that they have complimentary valet. We were looking forward to a couple of items we had our eyes on and they sure delivered. Not only on taste but the quality of ingredients. We got miso soup, wakame, brussel sprouts, nigiri, sashimi, LV roll, lobster tail dumplings, wagyu A5 hot rock and wrapped it up with the c-4! Service was good but could had been a bit better. We will definitely come back and try the Sand Lake location.

Leslie F.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant a few times and I LOVE IT HERE! I love the low dim lighting in the restaurant it really sets the vibe for a nice chill date night. Service is always amazing greeted and seated in less than a minute. Food is extremely tasty and the presentation is spot on. I prefer cooked sushi so my fav rolls are Tom yum roll which is torched smoked salmon and panko shrimp & Lv roll which is cooked waygu both very tasty the Brussel sprouts were good as well. Oh and how can I forget about the fried rice with pork belly 10/10 Drinks are delicious and strong all you'll need is one ;)

Amanda F.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal! Just visited the restaurant for the Magical Dining Experience. You can get a 3 course meal for $40 per person. Service: I can't say anything bad about their service, everyone was polite from the valet guy to the host to the server, the manager even came by to ensure we were happy with our service Ambiance: romantic, would be great for a date night or special celebration. Not suitable for younger kids. We can early afternoon, I believe they are opening from 5pm to late night. Food: Everything I tasted was delicious. They had some of the freshest fish you can eat. No fishiness at all, seems like they just caught the fish this morning. If you aren't a fishy person there were some meat options on the menu. I love loveeee loved their Japanese fried chicken. The lava cake is a MUST! they added dulce de leche and basil topping on the cake?!? Phenomenal. The matcha mochi was fantastic. Parking: you can park yourself but they also have complimentary valet. Of course, leave him a tip. He was sprinting to the get the cars! 10/10 would recommend, would return here

Nora J.

Yelp
I went here while I was stopping in Orlando for dinner. I like how they had two sections of the restaurant - one half for more restaurant vibes and the other was a bar. Since it was just me, I was in the bar area (hence the poor lighting in the pictures) and it was easy to get a seat for one (they take reservations). I wanted to try everything but settled on a few things. Everything had a great flavor and my favorite was the ube cheesecake! I had leftovers of almost all of the dishes which I happily enjoyed later. There's a limited amount of parking and a bit on the pricey but definitely worth it. Overall, really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back!

Christine S.

Yelp
Happy Thankful Thursday! Forgive me for being a day late.... Came here for magical dining! I'm thankful they participate every year! The food is always delicious! One of my favorite sushi spots when I'm feeling boôgie haha. The fish is always fresh and the service good! This place is very upscale looking and the vibe high society haha. Always good for a treat or a girls night

Adriana P.

Yelp
We came to kill some time before we went it go pick someone up at the airport. It was some good food. Ambience was nice and was pretty fancy for my personal taste. But very good food!! The waiter recommend the ghost and it was the best!! The waiter did try to get us the lunge bites even tho we weren't in the lounge which we really appreciated it!!! Sadly we didn't get it but we much appreciated her trying :))) Order: Edamame truffle Parmesan 100/10 honestly the flavor was sooooo good I couldn't stop eating it Hamachi carpaccio 100000/10 the sauce was amazing. It wasn't to sour it too sweet but it was a good balance!!! Def give it a try Ghost 10/10 based on the name I thought it would be spicy but it wasn't but i will say it was one of my faves!!! Zen 8/10 shown in the picture below wasn't me personal favorite but it was good. I will admit the crunchiness was def my favorite part of that dish Coconut udon truffle 10000/10 tbh I'm used to thinking udon came in a broth but surprisingly it wasn't what we Expected but it was soooo good. The coconut milk black truffle was my favorite part Service was a 10/10 Ambience a 9/10 just cuz it was too fancy for me personally but if you love a night out a good place for a date and outing!!! Will say I forgot the menus had pictures but it is very helpful for ordering.

Yelp
This was about to be one of the best meals we had while visiting Florida. We started the evening with an old fashioned and a honey my bee drinks. The old fashioned was amazing and crisp. The honey my bee was super sweet although I prefer sweeter drinks. Later in the evening we tried the lychee princess too and it was good. We then coursed the maguro, salmon, spare ribs and ended with the LV roll and the booki booki. The maguro appetizer was so fresh and unique. The salmon had a nice sauce. The spare ribs inspired by Filipino cousine was a delectable. The best part were the rolls - LV and booki booki. The LV had wagyu on top with crab and asparagus inside. We loved it so much we ordered a second roll instead of dessert. The reason for the two stars comes now - our waiter tells us he has a surprise for us. He brings out two desserts for our anniversary that we didn't order. We get our bill and he charged them for it even though we didn't order and said it was a surprise for us. It broke my heart because it was such a wonderfully tasting meal but it was not cheap by any means. Then we had to pay for desserts we didn't order. Just a heads up on the experience we had! Speak up with the "surprise desserts".

Yelp
Seven years in Orlando and I can't believe I just went for the first time. I have been missing out! The ambience of the dining room is gorgeous with dim lighting, table lights, and a very modern vibe. The lounge is sexy, sultry, and includes different menu items. For drinks, my hubby got one of the Japanese beers but I don't remember the name. I got the Mojito mocktail and it was delicious- tasted just like a Mojito, perhaps even better. For our meal, we ordered the ribs, maguro truffle, LV roll, and two spicy tunas (hubby's choice). The ribs were delicious and just fell off the bone. I really liked them but tend to have a hard time eating ribs when I only have a cloth napkin. Next time I will ask for some extra cocktail napkins or something of the like. The maguro truffle was phenomenal. My husband hates mushrooms but he really enjoyed the sauce. The spicy tuna rolls were really tasty and ultra spicy. I wish they were a little smaller because I had a texture overload after a few bites, but the taste was great. The LV needs a separate paragraph. Next time we go, k told my husband that I'm going to order three just for myself. I kept dreaming about the sushi-steak-truffle sauce combination for DAYS after our dinner. It was the most perfectly paired and balanced roll I've ever had. Bonus points that it's not raw so it can be enjoyed by everyone. If nothing else, get the LV. But I recommend getting the LV, the maguro truffle, and the ribs for deliciously varied meal. There are so many more rolls and dishes that I need to try so I will be back as soon as I can!

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere, food and some of the best cocktails in Orlando! There are very few places that can create consistent well balanced and incredible cocktails every time I go. This is one of them. Incredible service, beautiful interior and fantastic quality food. The pricing is a bit high, but very worth it for a high end experience. Also depends what you order on the menu. We had Bee my honey cocktail which is one of my favorites. The seasonal pumpkin gnocchi was a bit soft consistency wise but otherwise fantastic flavor. The truffle parmesan edamame was the best edamame I have had in my life. Zen roll was fantastic 10/10 while the wagyu beef roll was not our favorite, but still top notch ingredients. I would say my biggest complaints about Kabooki is the parking situation as well as the setup of the menu. They have the specials on a printed sheet, however the rest is online under all separate tabs making it a bit difficult to navigate and choose items. I have been here several times and still have a hard time located my favorite dish the way they have their menu set up. All in all an incredible dining experience I would suggest to all of my Orlando sushi lovers.

Paulina M.

Yelp
Food and service is always amazing here, an absolute must try in orlando. Great place to hang out for a date! Tonight i'm writing to mention Cesar, the valet, who didn't allow me to tip him even though he waited with me outside for my ride when my phone died. Truly a gentleman and great staff member. Please remind him how grateful I was for his help!

Matthew S.

Yelp
This place was awesome. We were told our reservation was going to be delayed by a short time but we could sit at the sushi bar which is always my favorite. The restaurant has cool light fixtures and great decorations on all the walls, very trendy. Jonathon our server was very nice and took our orders quickly. He made a suggestion to try the ghost roll because it's his favorite and I conveniently was going to order that anyway after looking at pictures of this place for the last day and a half. We had the brussel sprouts which were honestly just eh (would not recommend), the bluefin tuna tasting which was great, the ghost roll which is now my favorite roll, and the hakkaido roll which just melted in my mouth. This was a super fast meal. We were in and out in less than an hour. Highly recommend you try it

Christina C.

Yelp
Some coworkers and I stopped in for a drink after a company team building event. I have never been here before, but it was such a beautiful spot, and it was nice to see that they had a lounge that you could relax in instead of sitting at the bar or grabbing a table just for drinks. I opted to try their Kabooki espresso martini which was so smooth and delicious. Sometimes espresso martinis can be too bitter or too creamy like a latte instead of a cocktail, but they've nailed the formula here! I also enjoyed some of their plum sake while I was here, but it was gone before I could get a photo haha! I'd love to come back and dine here, as what I saw of their food menu looked appetizing!

Autumn W.

Yelp
With so many great sushi places in Orlando, I can definitely say this was one of the best I've been too! Beautiful restaurant and elevated sushi...definitely a place I want to go back too! Great cocktails as well!

Cheryl V.

Yelp
Let me first start out by letting you know that this is a $100+ per person kind of bougie-tapas-style upscale establishment. That being said, don't let it scare you off. Just go prepared and know that you will definitely leave a bit hungry. For the sake of info, there were 3 of us. The vibe of this place is very chic and cool. Our waitress was awesome and gave us a lot of good recommendations. I'll name off exactly what we had and what we thought of each dish. Everything is tapas style so you get to share. Extremely tiny entrées so that encourages you to just keep on ordering!! 1) Maguro Truffle-Probably our FAV, next to the 2) LV Roll- I would definitely order these two over and over again. The Maguro truffle was not only beautiful, but the cream sauce was out of this world. The edible flowers were a wonderful touch. The LV roll had some seared Wagyu beef on top and it was beyond delicious. The truffle cream on top was the icing on the cake! We all agreed that these were the best two items of the night. 3) King Salmon Ora tasting- Didn't love this one. The salmon wasn't fresh or tasty. It was a little, shall we say...mushy. 4) Short Rib dumplings- I ordered these because my husband prefers cooked items over raw items. It was basically roast beef in a little pocket of pastry. The mustard seeds added some yummy. The flavor of the beef was pretty good. 5) Coconut Truffle Udon-Good flavor and really tasty udon noodles! They seemed homemade and very fresh. 6) Ghost roll-This one was just OK. I'm not a huge eel fan, but I was able to eat a piece and be OK with it. 7) Last, but not least was the Haru Scallops- Extremely pricey considering we only got two scallops and it was $32. They were definitely very delicious and seared to perfection. The white asparagus and celery root were divine too. Overall, our experience was a cool 10/10, food taste and quality 8/10, price of food to quantity of food 5/10, presentation 10/10, cocktails 10/10. Definitely glad we got to experience this upscale sushi spot. Unfortunate that we had to head over to another place for happy hour appetizers just to fill up! Lol On to the next one!!

Yelp
First time here, inside is sleek and clean environment. Waitress was attentive and explained the menu for us. But most of the food wasn't really up to standards for how much it costs. Berkwood st louis sticky ribs were average, but wasn't worth $22 for a small plate. The sushi rolls were nothing special, but my friend ordered the hamachi carpaccio which was pretty high quality. My other friend ordered beef carpaccio to share that we all thought was alright. We did like their cocktails, we ordered the Lychee Princess, could never go wrong with lychee. Overall, it's nice to try at least once with your friends/family for special events but personally wouldn't come again for sushi.

Yelp
My experience at Kabooki was different from what I expected from a sushi restaurant on East Colonial. The interior bears a striking resemblance to that of a chic lounge; potentially a place that could turn into a nightclub after late hours. There are two sections of bar seating, high-top tables, booths, and regular tables. They have a small parking lot with valet, so be ready to tip. Their menu showcases the skill and creativity of their chefs. I was impressed with the long list of mouth-watering appetizers (called "tastings") that are carefully crafted to tantalize the senses, combining unique flavors and textures. Creativity seems to be the now. Since I wasn't very hungry and craving sushi, I decided to go with the Zen Sushi (salmon roll) only, which was fresh, creamy, and had the perfect texture.

Yelp
I went to Kabooski Sushi for my birthday, and while the ambiance was modern and cute, the experience was disappointing. I chose the restaurant based on the menu and reviews, but I couldn't get any of the three items I came for. I was excited to try the Matcha Espresso Martini, but despite having the ingredients, they wouldn't make it because their bar lounge was closed and they only offer it on the lounge side of the restaurant. The cocktails I did try were okay (Princess Lychee was decent but I wasn't a fan of sun kissed ), but none were strong; I had three drinks at the restaurant and 2 tequila shots prior to arriving and still want able to keep a buzz. They were also out of several food items, including the karaage and a sweet potato dish, despite our 7:30 PM reservation and them opening 2 hours prior. The Maguro Truffle was popular but only a 7/10 for me since I'm not a fan of raw sushi. On the bright side, the Coconut Udon and A3 Wagyu were excellent, and my family loved the Sticky Ribs and Ginger Salad. However, I didn't get the full birthday experience I was hoping for. I did enjoy a complimentary sampler with the Ube Cheesecake, which I had planned to ordering anyway. Overall, Kabooski is a cute spot with decent food and drinks, but they run out of inventory early, the cocktails aren't strong, and there aren't many cooked options or kid friendly items. While our server was nice, I wish she had advocated more for accommodating missing items. Personally, I probably would try out a different restaurant in the future. For my family of four, including a preteen, we ordered five cocktails priced around $20 each, along with several random menu items. While I didn't see the final bill, I'm certain we could have spent the same amount, if not less, at a restaurant that offered a more satisfying experience.

Yelp
This was our first visit to the Kabuki location on Colonial as I've been to the Sandlake location several times! We arrived on time for the reservations time of 7pm and the valet parking was a nice option! We were promptly greeted and seated! The front bar was pretty busy as the restaurant overall was busy and inviting! We started with a couple of fun cocktails based on the server's recommendation, and both drinks were great! We started with some roasted Brussel sprouts which were a bit too salty/vinegarish for our taste yet the server was amazing as she picked up on that and brought us a replacement dish which was much more onpoint! Next, we tried the Waygu beef on a hotstone, and it was absolutely delicious! We also tried a couple of different sushi rolls such as ghost roll and they were very delicious as well! The server brought out a beautiful dessert for us and you can see the pic! Overall a very enjoyable experience and great servcie!

Yelp
This was not just a meal, but an experience. I didn't eat, I lived. And my taste buds came alive. I cannot remember our server's name, and I am so sorry. (Maybe Halle??) I am remiss because she was amazing. From the recommendations to accommodations for my specific dietary needs, she came through above and beyond. She was able to replace the rice with cucumber and it turned out beautifully. The avocado was also presented like a work of art. The garlic kimchi edamame was actually the best spicy edamame we've ever had. My wife said her mezcal cocktail was delicious and ordered two of them. It is a tragedy that we live out of state. I will not forget you, Kabooki.

Yelp
YUMMMM! What a treat Kabooki Sushi is. Came on a Saturday night for my birthday and wow, I'm so glad I did! I heard that parking can be troublesome but we had a reservation for 5:00pm so it wasn't a problem at all. I believe they have valet if you need it as well. It is in a weird location (strip mall situation), but it truly feels like another world when you're on the inside. So trendy, warm, modern, and cozy, all wrapped up in one. It felt luxurious overall. Our server was very welcoming and walked us through the favorites on the menu as well as the specials. It was Magical Dining so we had one of those menus on top of their daily specials and normal menu. For drinks, I tried the Green Goddess ($16) and it was so light and refreshing. My mom had the Shen's Garden ($15) which was so intriguing with the house made green bean syrup, and it did not disappoint. She wants to try to remake it at home! We also tried the Sun-Kissed Bliss ($15) which was nice and smoky. Onto the best part...the food! We opted to get 2 of the Magical Dining pre-fixed 3 course meals, and got the rest as tapas style like usual. For the Magical Dining ($40 for 3 courses), we tried the Leche de Tigre, Hamachi Carpaccio, Berkwood St. Louis Sticky Ribs, Kasei Don, C4, and Mochi Trio. WOW. The leche de Tigre was awesome - perfect flavor and melted in your mouth. One of my favorite bites! The Hamachi Carpaccio was so citrusy and so good. The Sticky Ribs were perfection! Amazing flavor and fell off the bone. Multiple people claimed this as their favorite part of the meal! The Kasei Don was so fresh and a lot of fish. The C4 was good but not like a typical lava cake that oozed out the center. The Mochi Trio was good too but nothing crazy. Outside of Magical Dining, we tried a bunch of other options. The Maguro Truffle ($28) was so highly recommended and did not disappoint - so truffley and rich, and multiple people said it was their favorite part of the meal. The Handmade Ebi Gyoza ($16) were good but nothing too wild. The Yuca Fritters ($19) were a unique twist on the spicy tuna crispy rice and so good! Also highly recommended by the waiter. The Hawaii x.o Roll ($18) was so citrusy and bright and so good. The Hokkaido Roll ($19) had great textures going on and a great garlic taste. The Karaage ($18) were crisp and sweet and didn't even really need a sauce. While pricey, I understand the hype around Kabooki and definitely recommend it for a special occasion or date night out. The fish is so fresh and flavor combinations are incredibly unique, you can't go wrong!

Yelp
My absolute FAVORITE sushi restaurant, maybe even favorite restaurant in Orlando. This time we went for their magical dining menu, which is what you see pictured here, plus 2 rolls, the Hawaii and the Chill roll. Usually we get the Maguro Truffle cold tasting and I couldn't recommend it more. It's a must! We also enjoy doing sashimi tastings and just getting a bunch of stuff to share. I've never leave disappointed or hungry, and it's awesome to see how it's grown! I would recommend a reservation, as if you don't have one you may get turned away. There is a lounge now though that you can also eat in so that may be another option if you were willing to try anyways. Couldn't recommend this place more. Tough to find parking but we always seem to. They also have valet for convenience though or if you're unable to find a spot.

Yelp
The ambiance is low lighting with a very clean aesthetic. Perfect for a good date night. They also have a lounge attached where you can sit in a more bar environment. The food is so fresh and so good. They have a spicy tuna crispy rice that isn't on the actual menu, but they serve it and it is out of this world. My absolute favorite thing to get. We tried the hamachi (the picture attached). Our server "day" was so sweet and welcoming. Great service from her!

Yelp
Went here for the first time and did magical dining . I have heard so many good things about this place and I cannot express enough how much it does live up to the hype !!! Absolutely phenomenal experience from the atmosphere to the staff and can't forget about the decadent food . Our server Erica was amazing and the although we had a slight mix up with the drinks the manager was extremely kind and you could tell she really cared . I will definitely be back soon and recommend to my friends and Family .
