Where to Eat London’s Best Dumplings | Eater London
"Basically big boy manti, mantu are the Aghani variation on the mince meat dumpling that spread themselves flatter, looking like collapsed brain globes, covered in yoghurt, split peas, and chilli oil. A mantu quarter of sorts is springing up in Harrow, where Masa and Mazar both serve good examples, but at Kabul-e-Palaw in Walthamstow Skyn-thin skins and a generously spiced filling that works well spilled over a plate of rice." - Jonathan Nunn
Traditional Afghan food that delivered. Brilliant 50% dining offer from Tuesday to Thursday that we took advantage off, opting for the Kabuli pulao. Heaping plate with the carrots and raising adding a great sweetness to the perfectly cooked rice. The lamb was delightfully tender and the daal paired well with it all.

Order 1/2 kg lamb karahi and mix grill for takeaway. Unfortunately the meat was scarce when we came home and it was closer to 250g than anything. The meat mostly had boneless meat with excess fat. I was surprised that no meat with bones or bonemarrow was there. I only read the reviews later and worried whether I along with my family ate some leftover food? I spent £61 here. The taste of food was just okish and I was surprised that for a fusion of Afghan and Iranian the food taste level could be that low. I’ll never go there again and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I was really hungry and when you are hungry the food tastes even better but even then my taste buds were unsatisfied.

Just tried Kabul Palace in Slough with the family — what a hidden gem!
They’re doing 50% off meals, which meant we had a full Afghan feast without the aftertaste of an empty wallet. From the kebabs to the curries, every dish hit the spot.
Definitely a place I’d recommend — a little taste of Kabul right in the heart of Slough

The lamb spinach gosht and kabolli pilau was delicious, will be going back for more ( currently have a half price offer if dinning in from Tues- Thursday) They added green chillies to the gosht especially for us!❤️😊

This is, hands down, the best Kabuli Pulao I've tasted in the area! The food is consistently great, and the customer service has always been spot-on. My only minor gripes are the small condiment portions provided with delivery orders and a desire for a little more seasoning on the mixed grill – a bit more in those condiment pots and a touch more flavor on the grill would make it perfect!
