"This ramen bar is located at the center of the main food court, so you can kill a few hours drinking sake, people-watching tourists decked out in sweatshirts they bought on Canal Street, and slurping noodles before your flight. The veggie miso ramen is the ideal bowl to get you feeling warm and cozy before passing out on a red-eye. You can also order a sashimi platter from Tsukiji Fishroom next door if you want to blow through your per diem on fish that was flown in from Japan. " - Anne Cruz

Sadly it was the worse ramen I’ve had. Three noodles all clumped together and were gummy, and the broth was lukewarm. Sushi and poke were just ok. The servers were very very nice and helpful though. Remade my order with no fuss.

Worst “ramen” I’ve ever had. I’ve had more flavor in microwaved cup noodles than this. My wife and I both ordered the Pork Tonkotsu but she somehow received the Pork Shio. There was no time to return it due to our flight departing soon. There was only 1 piece of pork in each of our bowls. Anyone who rates this above 2 stars has never had real ramen. Anything else in that food court would’ve been miles better than this. And the price was outrageous. Stay away!

After discovering that "Surf" no longer serves sushi, I went to the global bazaar. In the center, there was a bar/counter place called Kaedama which DOES serve sushi. Overall, I had a positive experience. The food came out faster than my tea. It was also interesting that the edamame came in a bowl with the saran wrap still attached. This is great for keeping it hot, but it was also clear that no salt/topping were added. The tuna bowl was very good. I only wish I had a little soy sauce to coat the sashimi... Atmosphere was also interesting. I got to hear some conversations between employees on why someone was fired.

Food was ok. It was really expensive though but I get it, it's airport sushi. I got the spicy tuna roll. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. It's similar to the $5 sushi you get at publix but then you have to pay 13.99+tip. It'll fill the void if you don't want junk food. I like that it came with fresh ginger and wasabi. They also give you a cup and a pourer so you can pour your own soy sauce. You have to place an order online by scanning a QR code. There's no place online to add water for your order but I assume you can ask since they have water glasses. (Not sure if it's an additional charge.) The online order keeps your tab open so make sure you close it before you head out.

They don’t do to-go boxes even though this restaurant is located inside of an airport where everyone is literally on the go. So, after you get your overpriced ramen, you will have to leave most of it behind if you don’t have time to eat it. It’s interesting how every other restaurant in the world knows about to go boxes except this one. Also, be prepared to take your own order and pay through a website without even being greeted or brought water

The noodle is still clumpy, not cooked! The broth is not hot, just enough warm, the taste is like an instant noodle, or maybe worse. The service is "too nice", he even throw the straws for my ginger beer, he talk nicely though.

As for being in a airport, this restaurant/bar is a great place to eat while you are waiting to board your flight. They have great sushi and ramen! Some people in my party ate the Pork Tonkotsu Sushi and drank the Espresso Martini drink. They were both tasty and no issues with the dishes. I would recommend to come to Kaedama to eat some great, delicious ramen and sushi before your flight.

STAY AWAY. Sat there for 20 minutes waiting for an order that never arrived. The one employee I saw across the bar on her phone scurried away when we made eye contact and never returned. Almost missed my flight because I thought a dead bar could get a bowl of ramen out in a timely fashion. EDIT: We are now pushing 45 minutes. I can track the order with their handy dandy app, and it STILL has not been delivered. See photo of "still being prepared" 42 minutes after ordering. EDIT 2: 50 minutes later, I was updated that the food had just (allegedly) been brought out. So, based on this experience, I suggest you set aside at least an hour for that ramen, unless the owner can shed more light on why this happened? Edit 3: Great, a pasted response from the "owner" - tell me, what was management's response to your message on my behalf?
